I didn't care much for the game itself (the extreme loading times didn't help with that) but the intro for MoC and Battle March were damn good.

I'm still mad

wrong accent. It should be "chérie" and not "chèrie".

sad aswell. I didn't even play the tabletop. I loved the story soo much though. why in Grugni's name did they kill it for the crap that is the age of smegmar?

Your tremendous love the of story was unfortunately not making GW enough money.

>"Hmmm, Warhammer isn't generating enough shekels, what is the cause of this?"
>"Could it be because we haven't updated some army books in over a decade?"
>"Don't think so"
>"Could it be that the gameplay itself is a bit outdated, what with wheeling blocks of units"
>"That's not it"
>"Could it be that our prices are outrageous and starting an army costs you a leg?"
>"Naaaaaaw"
>"Could it be that Warhammer as a setting is terrible, despite the books and RPGs being popular?"
>"YES! Now you hit the nail on the head. We need SPACE MARINES to spice this thing up"

At least AoS is selling like shit.

I can tolerate this so long as everything works out badly for GW in the end.

>pikes
>charging forward in a loose formation

Chaos deserved to win that battle.

Better?

>At least AoS is selling like shit.

Source?

Much better.

Being french-inspired in a GW IP is suffering.

Fantasy doesn't like the French for some reason. You just rarely see them.

I mean, look at the Bretons from TES. From the name alone, you can tell they were based on the Bretons in France, so a mix of Celtic and Frenchiness. But instead, they seem to have ended up very English, slightly Celtic, and with French names.

Then why did the new orruk stuff sell out before it was released?

I guess that's the problem with cultural imperialism, settings that deviate from the most commonly held representations don't get much recognition.
Reminds me of WotC saying that the next Kamigawa set will be more like hollywood japan, since the japanese mythos of first one had references too obscure for their audience.

I don't get why that even matters. People usually play MtG for the cards, not really for the story behind them.

Still, I care enough to feel sad.

Because they had no reason to make a large production run when the entire system is unpopular.

At least its passing will make room for games made by companies who actually care

Still using that excuse eh?
>"B-but it sold out"

Not being smart enough to get enough stock is not a sign of success. It just means GW is led by a team of monkeys that severely underestimate how many they can sell.

Don't be sad, user.
Here, have an ink-eyes.

still no female skaven in AoS

desu, they be still reacting to the fiasco that was the specialist games overproduction in foreign countries.

Was thinking about getting back into warhammer (fantasy and 40k) back in 2014. Definitely glad I didn't. Quite apart from the fact if I'd got into Fantasy back then I'd be screwed now, if GW can junk their oldest game, who's to say they won't start cutting the less popular races from 40k?

GW was cancer before, but now it's just intolerable. I don't think I can even justify spending money on Total War: Wahammer, knowing I'll just be funding the company that killed Fantasy. It hurts to have to let GW go - I had some good times with warhammer when I was a kid - but you just know the whole company is in a tailspin that it isn't going to pull out of, and I don't want to stick around to see how they bleed 40k to death.

If Skaven haven't changed much as a race, female Skaven are probably the same as they always were:

>Bloated baby bags with a mouth and nipples.

...

They don't have to be waifu material to appeal to me; I just like rats and would enjoy seeing more of skaven society.

I get the point - they're supposed to be disgusting - but somehow I feel like they really could've done something different with female skaven than basically saying 'no.' Even Bretonnians have lady enchantresses.

Well there was that Brighthammer equivalent to WHFB made a while ago where Skaven were less putrid and more like Burmecians with Grey Seers being an all female caste of Sun Seers or something. Damned if I can find it though...

Nevermind found it.

Setting had quite a bit of potential. Shame it petered out so quickly.

You got a link to that?

It started in this thread and the setting was expanded in a few more. Haven't found them yet.

suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/43478161/

Aren't they the same person?

I don't know if it's ever explicitly detailed if thats natural or moulder magic though, so it's plausible a skaven female could end up fap bait

Cheers senpai

I remember this. I was a contributor, but then my class schedule got in the way. When I finally had some free time, the setting had lost all steam and I couldn't find any trace of it.

The sadder thing is to realize that, one day, this is how WH40K will end too. Not with some final splatbook about the war to end all wars as the millenium ends, where we find out what happens when the Emperor dies or what happened to the missing Primarchs or what the Harlequins' plan for saving the Eldar is, or the true nature of the Tyrant Star.

They'll just stop publishing material. There will be no closure.

Never forgettie.

Don't be sad user, it has moved onto a better place now. Whether you like T9A or not GW were running it into the ground.

>There are people who freak out when an unpopular army gets dropped.
The salt is real

As someone who loved WHFB, I would almost prefer it if this is how GW ended the setting.

Instead we got four poorly written books, each less tolerable than the last, sold some of the most expensive models to date with no mention of the game not being supported in the future, and then the still warm corspe of the setting was butchered to form some awful Frankenstien's monster in a fit of moneylust.

Just letting the setting wither away and die would be preferrable.

This.

> the final book is just "And then the Eye of Terror engulfed the galaxy, and the Tyranids and Orks fought each other until the heat death of the universe"

I was getting ready to buy some Warriors, too. At least it happened when it did; I can't imagine how pissed I'd be if it happened after I'd bought a starting army.

I might just come back and try to flesh that out someday.

man this cinematic trailer is too good it like one of the best i have ever seen

Salt=/=sadness.

Also, all of Age is unpopular given how a boxed set for 30k outsold it.

Reminder that in Age, there are no non-Elf non-Undead females other than a single Ogre Maneater who wears a fake beard.

Everyone else is squatted or dead.

GW saw the success of Raging Heroes and Kingdom Death and came to the conclusion "tits and pussy do not sell".

To be a fan of this setting is to a be a fan in the most dark and desperate times, to ask yourself would it be better to simply allow the setting die than to be supported under such terrible oversight.

They even banished the lord of titties himself.

>GW business decisions are based on rational thought

Underageb& detected.
Shill better, kiddo.
