I HEAR THE WARP! THE GODS CALLS TO ME! HELP ME ASNWER THE CALL BROTHERS!
1d100 for Renegade Chapter or Legion warband!
Legion pls
dice+1d100
Rolled 40 (1d100)
Woops, meant a D10 but we will run that as a 4. So we are a renegade chapter
D100 for why we fell
...
Rolled 93 (1d100)
well shit I'm dumb
Rolled 18 (1d100)
Near the brink of annihilation, the Marines took an extremely cowardly or horrible action to preserve their Chapter, and were excommunicated for this.
cool I've never gotten that one!
d100 for our progenitor!
Rolled 34 (1d100)
Rolled 29 (1d100)
One re-roll so we don't have to be related to the smurfs(if same result again tho we will take it)
so 1d100 for progenitor
Rolled 77 (1d100)
Rolled 33 (1d100)
Ah the Imperial fists, cool
1d10 for warband beliefs, crossed fingers for loathed or neutral
Rolled 96 (1d100)
Rolled 9 (1d10)
d10 ya fool
My bad.
Take this guy's roll then
ugh great fanatic... I kinda wanna re-roll but we already spurned the dice gods once... I'm just sick of deity driven warbands so once more, see if we can at least get neutral.
This will be our last re-roll simply because every Warband I've seen in the last like 30 threads has been fanatic
1d10 for our belief in the ruinous powers
Rolled 3 (1d10)
Neutral. The warband believes Chaos to be more of a tool than something to be worshipped, serving the dark Gods when it benefits them.
alright good
d12 for which god or gods we occasionally seek the aid of/use their relics and powers more
Rolled 5 (1d12)
Here's hoping for Tzeentch!
Well we got a 5 for Slaanesh... luckily we are neutral sowe don't eat babies and all that grimderp shit
I'll say no re-roll unless you in the thread want to, lest we call the wrath of the dice gods
d100 for what form our beleifs take
Rolled 64 (1d100)
Balls. Welp, guess I'll get the power dildos...
Well we got Daemonhood that... really does not make a whole lotta sense for a neutral Warband, so thats a re-roll so shit does not get weirdly contradictory
Also we are only neutral my fried, no power dildos here... and again, if the thread is sick of seeing slaanesh warbands we can re-roll
regardless d100 for what form our beliefs take
Rolled 74 (1d100)
Power demands Sacrifice - The Marines of this force understand that in order to gain you must first give something in return. They're willing to sacrifice anything to advance themselves, even their lives or the lives of others.
See now that makes sense.
d10 for our demeanour
Rolled 1 (1d10)
Rolled 9 (1d10)
Exploit and Conquer. The Warband views all others as mere pawns, assisting them when it helps their own goals and tossing them aside once they are no longer needed. These Marines are selfish and untrustworthy.
Well that synergizes very well!
d10 for our common mutations
Rolled 8 (1d10)
Body horror, never got that one before... neat
d100 for our figure of legend!
Rolled 72 (1d100)
We got a dreadnought, interesting!
d100 for his deeds
Rolled 78 (1d100)
The legend committed great atrocities during the boarding of an Eldar Craftworld. He and his Warband are still hated to this day by the Eldar.
Probably did it for a favor from the big S
d100 for our homeworld
Rolled 68 (1d100)
Ah a fortress world, sticking to our Imperial fists roots
d100 for our terrain
Rolled 7 (1d100)
A jungle fortress world, welcome to miles and miles of jungle tunnels
d10 for our combat doctrine
Rolled 3 (1d10)
Armoured Fist - Heavy use of vehicles, tanks, transports and mechanized infantry.
We enjoy our predators and land raiders!!
d100 for our special equipment
Rolled 34 (1d100)
eeehh bestial companion... we wanna keep that or try again?
Rolled 47 (1d100)
Roll for retry
Unholy Wargear.
Well thats extremely vague, oh well we will figure it out later.
d10 for our warbands status
Rolled 7 (1d10)
Rolled 2 (1d10)
Nice slightly over strength, doing well for ourselves
1d10 for why we are bigger than normal
Rolled 5 (1d10)
The Warband joined forces with another Warband that shared the same goals or a common enemy.
Looks like we merged with another warband... cool
d100 for our allies
Rolled 38 (1d100)
Some Dark Mechanicus or even a traitor titan legion! We are damn well off huh?
d100 for our enemies
Rolled 35 (1d100)
A tyranid Hive fleet, interesting
Alright, let me get the summary, lets see if we wanna try to re-roll anything, and then we can move on to fluffing!
Gotta admit, having our figure of legend be a dreadnought and our allies the Dark Mechanicus is really interesting. Maybe we can fluff it as our FoL was wounded heavily in battle and the Dark Mech saved him by interring him in the dreadnought sarcophagus?
Joined forces with an Iron Warriors warband in a desperate battle against a bigger foe?
Could be called the Forgiven or some such.
Do like that angle. Certainly fits. What were they like before? Some Slaaneshi-sorcerer?
Alright. This might not be what other people are picturing, but here's what I'm thinking.
>Imperial Fists successors fighting Iron Warriors on their generic fortress world.
>Suddenly, Tyranids.
>Both sides rapidly get outnumbered. With the Iron Warriors lacking manpower but having plenty of tech, and the Imperial Fists doing the opposite.
>Cue veteran leaders of both factions deciding the only way to survive is to work together.
>"We were brothers once. We will be again."
>Suddenly, the Iron Warriors are bolstered with Imperial Fists reinforcements, and the Iron Warriors begin to send heavy weapons to support the Fists.
>The Planet gets covered in Tyranid jungles, the Chapter Master gets interred in a Chaos Dreadnought, and they get the message they've been excommunicated.
>We are a renegade chapter descended from the Imperial Fists Chapter
>We were excommunicated from the Imperium after we commited atrocities and/or cowardly actions as we neared annhilation in order to survive
>We are neutral, seeing chaos merely as a tool and consider the 'faithful' to be fools and slaves
>Even so, occasionally we give souls to please Slaanesh, in order for us to receive the occasionalk assistance from them
>We believe that power demands a sacrifice, and we are willing to sacrifice anything to advance ourselces, even our own brothers.
>We believe all that aren't us are merely pawns to be used and expended when we see fit
>We are often mutated in horrific physical ways(TBD)
>Our figure of legend(and possible current champion) is a dreadnought, who commited great atrocities upon an eldar craftworld and his name is still loathed by the race
>We live on a fortess jungle world, sticking to our fist roots somewhat
>We focus on armored combat, using many battle tanks to crush our enemies beneath our treads
>We make use of unholy wargear(TBD)
>We are slightly above strength, following our merging with another chapter with similar goals to ours
>We are allied with a Dark mechanicus and/or Traitor titan legion
>We are enemies with a hive fleet
Anything we wanna re-roll or just straight up change? Personally Slaanesh feels out of place, as we seem incredibly practical.
Both these ideas are good, though possibly not 'The Forgiven' for a name, sounds a bit loyalist to me
Why does it have to be baby rape?
Noise Marines or obsession with perfection via artifice and tactical genius might suit them better
>From my perspective, it is the Imperium that is the traitor.
Bumping so we don't 404
I'd say it'd be better if the FoL, if he's the Chapter Master or not, should probably be mortally wounded when attacking the Craftworlders, and was placed into the dreadnought afterwards.
But the idea of a Dreadnought leading a Legion is very interesting to me.
That sounds fucking tits.
This is kickass
YEs, but everytime anyone heres 'Slaanesh' in regards to a warband it goes straight to that shit.
Maybe we follow undivided like the warriors, but pay a bit more homage to Slaanesh when it suits us? We are neutral so it sounds good to me personally
Or it might just be indirect Slaanesh worship.
Like, they're really into perfecting their war machines and weapons, to the point where Slaanesh blesses them without them asking in the first place.
>Chapter Master rules the chapter for a significant portion of time.
>Falls fighting the Eldar Craftworlders.
>Gets implanted into Dreadnought.
>Continues to command the chapter indirectly through trained loyal cast of servants
>Comes out to lead his troops in might armoured raids across the universe
And he shall carry them to the Eye of Terror himself!
Thats a good idea, I like that.
So we know how we started and are bigger than regular cause this is just so kick ass
What is our body horror thing? Any suggestions? Also what is our 'unholy wargear'?
Actually, thinking about that and what was said Maybe they are perfecting their weapons in a sort of arms race with the Tyranids on their partially Tyranized Fortress world.
The Elder Craftworld thing might have been a test run, to try new weapons systems to fight the Swarm.
Perfection of biological form versus perfection of artificial form, with a backdrop of brotherly competition between the former IW and IF. Instead of building better weapons and fortification to fight each other, they build better weapons and fortifications to try to one up each other.
Maybe the Slaanesh started favoring the warband after they merged with a Slaaneshi leaning warband.
There would be some nice tension between new members of the legion and those old dogs who agree with theur Iron Warrior battle brothers about being neutral towards the chaos gods.
Perhaps a bit stereotypical, but maybe mixing with the Iron Warriors our marines' flesh have begun to intermix with a lot of their augmetics and mechanical pieces in grotesque manners - eyes suddenly being over taken or growing in lighting fixtures, veins literally becoming coils and tubing that just burst in and out from the skin, metal building layers upon layers off bones and skulls 'til they start to jut out unnaturally into new bits.
This is fucking perfect! Always in an arms race, didn't even mean to please slaanesh with all those Eldar and our kickass weapons, fortifications and tanks. We are going with this I say
So what should our name be? A combination of Iron Warriors and Imp fists succesors, obsessed with perfect weapons, vehicles and fortifications, in an eternal arms race with the tyranids on their world
Should their Body horror mutations be from the Tyranids fucking with their gene seed over time?
Mechanical body horror maybe?
They upgrade themselves with augments that slowly start to spread and take over to create more perfect mechanical warriors?
If we didn't reroll the Daemon Prince thing, then maybe the Dreadnought interred Chapter Master slowly warped into some daemonic war machine.
Good idea, fuck the tyranid thing I suggested, slowly merging wwith their own machines is awesome
Sort of like a more elegant version of Tetsuo the Bullet man.
Sets up the strong Dark Mechanicus allegiance.
Actually, this chapter seems almost reliant on the Dark Mechanicus, between heavy mechanical body modification and massive mechanized warfare. I imagine the Dark Mechanicus asks a lot of "Favours."
Probably related to why the chapter attacked a craft world. You don't really just attack a craft world as a testing run for weapons.
good idea, sounds like our mechanicus compliment wanted some xenos tech. Do we want to also have titans, or jus the Dark Mechanicus?
I'd imagine nothing would make this legion harder than a Titan.
An active goal of the chapter would probably be to place their great Chapter Master into a Titan.
I think Titans would be a little much.
Probably shitloads of Dreadnoughts though. Like, whole squads of Contemptors, each one perfectly fused with the marine interred inside to become ridiculous killing machines.
Yeah, I'm thinking it'd be better if they didn't have a Titan, but were striving to get one.
Shit. Maybe it's partly a go big or go extinct thing. With the Tyranids having lots of Bio-Titan's and Carnifexes, they have to make big walkers to compete.
It could be considered an honored ritual among our warband - where as most loathe or would choose to fight being interred, to become one with a dreadnought is a true pleasure that they have not yet invented words needed to describe
Yea cool! I'm loving this!
Alright, what do you name these kick ass dudez?
Also, what do we have for that whole 'unholy wargear' thing? Is it our machines have like... unholy blessings or something?
Maybe they get stuck in their suits, and end up just building on from there.
Power armor because a Terminator, Terminator becomes a Dreadnought, and soon the Dreadnought Chapter Master might be a Titan.
Yeah, but I imagine it's something like The gear is consecrated by a priest, but Slaanesh is impressed with their striving for perfection so he blesses the gear of his own accord.
ooooo sort of a weird version of the obliterator virus? I like it
good idea, they are getting blessed by slaanesh and they never even know it
Perhaps, in Slaanesh's infinite capacity for serving pleasure and pain together, they possess... possessive wargear?
A boltgun that seemingly is so well maintained that it's practically a part of you... and then is. To the point where you're not sure if you're using it or its using you.
They just end up considering themselves the weapon, with the boltgun just being an extention.
In a way, some troops would just eventually become calculated, just about soulless, killing machines.
Kind of like Rubic Marines, except they're a lot less predictable, harder to control, and easier to kill.
I like it, like I said, a weird version of the obliterator virus mixed with this
I imagine that's it's probably a lot less mutilated and unintentional looking compared to the Obliterator virus.
Like, ignoring that this is a Black Templar, something like this.
I'd say Rubric marines are to dead inside.
Its more like they become extremely dangerous servitor like beings, as they become their weapons, or machines and they don't even realize the change
The Brotherhood of Anguish?
The Forged?
Well yea, the obliterator virus is to ugly for the big S, we have a more elegaant version he/she/it modified themselves for us, cause we are so enjoyable
THe FORGED! That sounds terrifying! Agreed thread? Are we now the forged?
Yeah.
Probably more like actual Abominable intelligences than Servitors. They retain all their cunning and self determination, just shedding all the stuff that made them human. Kind of grows out of the IW and IF fighting alongside each other. First they set aside their hatred so that they can win, then they start doing it to everything else not related to victory and warfare.
Exactly, love it!
Sooo did we make Chaotic Borg Marines?
Maybe the Forge Warriors as a little shout-out to our boys, the IW?
