Elysian guard best guard.

Carn--

I mean second for Grey Knights!

>Everyone is Carnac!

Don't drag this thread down like you did the last or else.

I would have to agree with you

You guys are limited to one or two relics a model, while Farsight Enclave commanders can take 14.

>DON'T DRAG SHIT INTO THE NEXT ONE

Delete this post. Don't bring this shit here, just ignore it.

Literally the dumbest person here.

Are there some form of Tempestus Elysians, an elite drop troop with some asian name?

Are we posting lists in here?

I wish Grey Knights would get some love in the next wulfen novel.

Makes me wonder what imperial navy troopers (the ones who repel boarders and keep order on their ships) would look like. I'm thinking either something like mordians but different hats (really smart and prim) or something like 30k solar auxilia (void hardened armour etc.).

Also, what are they called in 40k? Traditionally the fighting infantry of a navy are called "marines" but that's kind of taken.

>Let's not drag this thread down by bringing up what dragged last thread!

You're a genius user. OR SHOULD I SAY Faggot

>Orks
>I2
>bs 2
>av 10 vehicles
>Ld7
>no invulnerable saves
>6+ armour
>everything costs more points than other armies equivalents
>they're the only codex in the game that has vehicles that take panic tests

What's even the point of these guys anymore?

You guys say to keep the shitposting down and yet use the chicken image.

Carnac is always watching it seems.

EXACTLY WHAT CARNAC WOULD SAY CARNAC

but seriously, I think they'll listen to OP

Captcha's are getting smarter every day, shits scary

You are free to but careful with your formatting or some assburger clown will rage

If it is well formatted and you dont bump it every 30 minutes while not taking any advice when you repost it, sure.

Don't expect someone who is playing your army your way to be here at this moment though.

STOP.
REPLYING.

I believe they are called Ratings.

hopefully new formations at the very least.

Does your army have a background to it that you came up with? how snowflakey and autistic is it?

Tell me all about it. I want to know.

...

For all this, it's S3 that really fucks them.

You can't tell me what to do.

How would you feel if they rolled Inquisition and maybe even Scions into your codex?

Nope.

Given how Cadian, Orks, and Black Legion went I kind of don't want Geedubs touching GKs in a Warzone book and get them a real codex update.

Formation detachments won't fix the broken internal balance. Which is GKs biggest weakness.

You first Carnac

Okay here goes
Hive fleet detachment 1850
CAD
3 flyrants with brainworms and egrubs
1 hive crone
1 malanthrope
3 mucolid spores

Skyblight formation
Flyrant brainworms egrubs
Hive crone
2 harpies
3 gargoyle squads

I'm not sure about the crone in the CAD I wonder if a mawloc might be better fitted to make them space their deployment differently

Codex Inquisition with Inquisition, Scions, Sisters, Deathwatch, Assassins, and GKs.

Depending on your HQ choices unlock different options within.

I dig it. But it's too complex and bold for GW.

I would rather them throw the assassains data slates into GK codex then give scions anything than a swift kick back into IG codex.

FUCK YOU, I WONT DO WHAT YA TELL ME
The more the merrier.

are chaos daemons + CSM/KDK fairly viable or am i going to ruteinly get my shit pushed in?

Keep in mind i'm a total noob and more interested in building/painting than winning but i still want the game to be enjoyable.

If they're total shits i may just roll tau because i like how mech/robot like they look.

but inquisitorial stormtroopers were a big thing too. There's no reason they couldn't be in both and maybe have different equipment options as well.

fukkin xenos...

GW isn't going to update a faction as small as GK twice in an edition. While I would love to see a good reason to take anything but NDK, librarians, and purifiers, that's not going to happen anytime soon. The best we can hope for at this point is formations. Ours are absolute shit.

My Space Marine army is a successor chapter of unknown origin. They're defensive siege and heavy weapons specialists, as according to chapter legend their predecessors were part of a small honor guard that helped defend in the siege of Terra itself.

They are understrength currently, due yo their deviation from the codex. Rather than the typical company setup, they only have the 4 reserve companies divided up as normal, along with scouts and veterans. When going to battle, they form a force from all these companies, rather than having a standing force.

Their unknown origins is that they're actually Word Bearers successors

So how snowflake out of 10 are they?

with the new FAQ you can add
>one of two races who can only take 1 relic per model

Damn guys. Hold yourselves to a higher standard than this. You're all adults (I assume), you shouldnt be derailing threads and arguing over nonsense all the time. Youre wasting your own time and energy, and ruining what should be a WH40k general. Please stop doing this. Take a minute and walk away if you have to. Stay on topic for your, and everyone elses sake. Thanks.

>wip 95% done with my Plague Toads for counts as Beasts of Nurgle

Also, if anyone from last thread that was discussing my Pask command squad replacement is here, Im open to suggestions. Posting from my phone so I cant link previous thread.

KDK is around mid-tier.

Vigilio Confido, Commander

Codex: Agents of the Imperium has been a thing I've championed for awhile.

True. But let's be honest the 7e Grey Knight codex was nothing, but a glorified 5e codex reprinted with the 7e FAQ.
No new kits, a simple one week release cash grab.

All GKs really need is a point fix on units and a few tweaks and they'd be good to go.

But knowing GW we'd just get reprints of our apocalypse formations / a bunch of mini formations that form the Grey Knight Brotherhood formation like Crimson Slaughter's Formations.

there's already more than 2 races before the faq that could only take 1 relic per model though.

GW got updated in 7th. So good luck waiting 3 more years. 6th and 7th were a blip cause GW fucked up more than usual.

So, be happy you might get some good formations and possibly new relics (Cadia got unique relics so I don't see why GK can't based on the enemy they're fighting or some shit) and just be glad you're not Blood Angels tier yet.

no, it's you deliberately misreading the rules.

And at this point it's you then going on to continue pushing your misreading after having been called out because you're a cunt who craves attention.

>Carnac is always watching it seems.

"Carnac" here.

I just finished a game of Hearthstone and came here to see what you guys up to. At the moment I am laughing my butt off at the mess you guys made for yourselves.

The paranoia is real.

Formations as a concept are retarded for a game like 40k in the first place. It forces people into a false choice of having their army composition determined for them or having subpar units.

Not RAW. It said a Relic could replace ONE of the following. Not "only one relic per model" as Necrons and Orks said.

This meme has to stop.

I would have preferred a glorified reprint. We got some positive points adjustments. Other than that, we lost psybolt and psyflame, all of the cheesy unit special abilities, grand masters that actually do shit, our coolest character, the ridiculous cornucopia of grenades, and Draigo's stupid little flamer. In exchange, they made our best unit cheaper and made librarians and champions significantly less horrible. I'd say that we lost pretty hard.

Could be worse/10

>Word Bearers

Bretty snowflake.

You could solve it all by putting your trip back on or by killing yourself on stream. Irrelevant if it was you or not, you do exact what that faggot did and thus it should just been seen as what it is, an insult for being an autistic shitposting speg like yourself.

I always liked formations in apoc thou. Allowed me to take neat units in fluffy formations.

you are the one being a cunt m8, just because you want everyone to be pulled down to your shit-teir codex.

The rules are quite clear on the matter

They're called (Naval) Armsmen

Okay.
Guys.

>Entire vehicle damage chart thresholds are up by 1, meaning only AP1 can instant kill vehicles, rarely
>Vehicles are not wrecked at 0 HP, and instead are treated as Crew Shaken for the rest of the game
>Vehicles with 0 HP give a +2 to the vehicle damage chart

Y/N

You are a retard user. that's not what the Grey Knight codex says at all.

Vendetta soam is best spam.

>defensive siege and heavy weapon specialists
> word bearers successors

red herring/10

fuck off

Subtracting remaining hp from table results is simpler and faster. No need for a whole spaghetti mess of rules to be patched on.

Blood angels at least have access to anti-tank weapons, vehicles that do things, dreadnoughts without a worthless 25-point psyker tax (for powers they can't really use), and troop units cheaper than 110 points. I really don't see how we're in a better place. As it is, GK is pretty much "that codex you ally with to get dreadknights".

I don't post here a lot. I stick to AoS general most of the time. I come here for time to time to check on 40K news and even then I rarely ever post. Lo and behold this time you shat up the place. Shame on you. Examining the last thread it was YOU you started the shitposting.

You are the Cancer that's killing /40k/. Cease and repent.

Want to run a tau cadre themed on mobile, armored warfare. No stealth suits or rare, heavy suits, only crisis supporting skimmers. Tons of skimmers. I would have liked to use the rapid insertion force but tetras feel like the fit the theme too much. Would this be fun to play against for an average pickup game or no?

I didn't get involved with the shitposting. If you were dead, nobody could accuse somebody else of being Carnac. You're the only cause, if you put on a trip, people could filter you and once again, people would know it isn't you.

>2000 pts

discarded, knock it down to 1500/1850 and you might actually get to use it.

Sorry, ion cannon on the hammerhead in the CAD, not sure how I mixed that up. Should have proofread.

>not using 2k

literally EVERYONE in my area uses 2k
>muh torments
only relevant if you play them

Yeah, just fuck over dark eldar more, why not.

>Every army has good access to decent AP 1
HAHAHAH fuck you

Whats wrong with 2000? I mean I guess I could pack the interdiction cadre into the CAD and drop the firestream wing and shoot for 1500.

Even If I died, your paranoia will keep me alive. You are practically jumping at my shadow. Utterly obsessed to the point of creepiness. I am done with you today, I had my laugh, no need to let the other anons suffer more of your madness.

Don't reply

Count yourselves lucky if you ever get to go over 1850, most people use it as a crutch because they don't like fun or it breaks their WAAC play.

A mechanicus sect founded by the survivors of a Magos Juris's investigatory fleet.

In early M41 once Inquisitor Horst began to suspect what was coming, he took steps to raise the alarm even as he himself raced to uncover Abbadon's schemes. One of those he contacted was an Ordo Hereticus inquisitor by the name of Orthais who immediately commandeered a small guard force, set his own priests among them to harden their faith, and launched about a project to circumnavigate the eye. While others raced after raids and sought to divine the shape of the coming storm, Orthais set his thoughts to a more practical matter. He would make a heavy handed sweep through the threatened area of space, searching for more mundane instances heresy. A great purge to deny the enemy fertile ground upon wich to incite rebellion.

About a third of the way through the hunt he found himself at Agripinaa and was met with a great deal of eagerness. The tech priests there had seen signs of a growing threat themselves, and had begun making a similar internal crackdown. They insisted on sending their own forces to aid in the project, learned investigators from the collegiate extremis who had the knowledge and access nessecary to probe forgeworlds as throughly as the inquisition might probe imperial planets. Orthais initially refused, suspecting that the help woukd not be worth potentially limiting his own authority, but eventually was persuaded to accept when the aid was limited in scope to small detachment of ships under the command of Magos Juris Alevra.

The combined fleets proved to be an effective force, uncovering and destroying cults and bands of dissidents in a wide swath around theveye, but tensions within the group were high. Orthais's guardsmen had been indoctrinated into fanaticism and Alevra's skitarii had been hand picked for that quality from the beginning, and their unshared religions threatened to erupt into violence at any moment.

Fuck off back to your WAAC tourney environment and take your house rules with you

Our local standard for pickup games is 2k, with over values available upon request.
There's nothing wrong with the point value, it's a good number that allows for more toys and less min maxed bullshit on the table.

>Being this retarded

Carnac A..are you a grill?

You used to have a trip until you got filtered. The paranoia YOU are showing thinking just one person hates you is hilarious, but saddening. I've given you some options. If we knew you were dead, we'd be free.

But you live to shitpost, so we're never going to be free, unfortunately.

What up, guys, been ironing out the kinks of these Chaos Legion and Warband Tactics, as well as making it look nicer visually.

In addition to "Chapter Tactics" for each Legion and the main Warbands, this also includes Chaos God-specific Warlord Traits Tables and specific Relics.

R8, critique, have at it, and let me know what y'all think. Feel free to take and use them if you like it.

Alright, well I guess I'll just try contacting some local FLGSs groups and see what they play. Just curious though, how did the 1850 tournament points thing come about? It seems like such an oddly specific number.

>leave thread due to shitposting
>come back and people are arguing with the resident shitposter

i keep hoping people will not be new on this board yet every day i'm proven wrong

The tension was finally resolved when an imperial priest trod upon an enginseer's foot whilst a lander was being unloaded.
A shouting match erupted between the two, as each berated the others faith. Indeed, they showed such rhetorical skill that the lay people who rushed towards the ruckus gathered around to listen and cheer for their side rather than fall to riot. This set the tone for the rest of the expidition, which was to be polka dotted with fiery public debates, including a truly legendary 11 hour long battle of words between the Juris and Inquisitor themselves, but no bloodshed.

Eventually, the combined force was swept up into the storm of the Gothic war, distinguishing itself despite very nearly being destroyed. At the wars end Alevra returned to her homeworld with less than half of those she set out with and those she did bring back were changed. Bits and pieces of the imperial faith had crept into their practices, legacies of the debates which had averted such strife. Only their heroic service in the war, Alevra's position in the collegiate extremis, and the fact that the source of these near misbeliefs was the imperial faith spared them a purge.

Since then, long submersion within mechanicus society has worn away much of the "Aleveans" heterodoxy, but they retain a few strangeness. Of particular note, they hold the human form sacred. The flesh *is* weak, but augmentation should serve to elevate the body, bringing it into sacred union with the machine, not merely wiping it away. Wiping away the weakness without wiping the flesh is held to be the highest path and should be done whenever possible.

Moreover, the flesh that you do keep should be well cared for, don't just let it fill with cancer or what have you, and presented in a pleasing way, stay clean and non-stinky, etc.

Yeah the base for my shop is ~2000pts as well but if you know eachother and that you can field more then it isn't uncomin to go 3k+.

When I was playing my first 3500 pt game last Saturday the other 3 games being played were all 2k+

I'm willing to bet that a lot of people generally go through phases. Sometimes offering good advice, other times shitposting and arguing because they are bored, or somehow they got offended at their opinions being rebutted.

The problem for me is that my list becomes much less fluffy at apoc levels. Instead of silver tide Necrons alone I have to ally my other armies, so it becomes a hodge podge of different army detachments.

"presented in a pleasing way" is kind of hard for them, since they don't really have anyone in their society to judge that except other mechanicus factions who don't care or each other. Mostly they just operate off of handed down knowledge of what's nice about a body from their founding generation, who learned it all from the fleet's guardsmen. This lends a certain... crudeness to their sense of beauty. Fanatics or not, their teachers were still guardsmen after all.

have to justify those Wargames Exclusive minis somehow :^)

Next week is going to have some awesome BL releases (picture related).

-The Ultramarines will defend Terra and the Sol system from the Tyranids.
-The iron Warriors will forge an alliance with the loyalist scum in order to combat the Beast!
-We are going to see Girlyman at his best. For those 2500 lucky neophytes who bought the limited edition, you guys should be getting your books next week.

Anyone hyped?

Whats coming after the flyers?

Fuck, i like it.

Too bad i'll never get to play them.

>how did the 1850 tournament points thing come about?
Basically a few groups that make tournaments and their house rules ran some polls on their blogs and came to the number, only by a very slim margin
The primary reason it stays is many lists work better at 1850, such as knight spam
Another reason is the less the points, the stronger min maxing helps your list. You have less points for less tools on the table.
