I believe we're just waiting onLune to post actions. Processing begins in roughly four hours, so they have until then to post actions or get botted.

So, why the reduction to one action per turn?

Makes processing easier, less actions to get lost while skimming over the thread, more clarity for players to comprehend what they can do and what is going on, less confusion as to what the enemy did and what triggered where.

Let alone, Grid-Lock is meant to be like a brawler or beat-em-up style skirmish. One action seems fitting enough to keep the pace of what those games tend to have.

Stupid client never remembers trips

I should clarify I'm shooting both bullets. Does focus apply to both bullets? If so would I be doing 8 damage a bullet before armor? That seems about right as it takes several turns to set up.

You fire each bullet as part of an attack. Given that you don't have Rapid or a means of attacking multiple times, you'll only shoot once.

As for Focus, it reads next 'attack' so it won't work if you Focus and make multiple attacks with the same action.

That's what I mean. Which scenario is playing out?

1 attack 2 bullets both are affected by focus. Total potential attack: 16

Or

1 attack 2 bullets 1 is affected by focus.
Total potential: 12

Neither. You're making one attack with one bullet affected by Focus.

If you make another attack (through some means) then it's an additional attack not modified by Focus. Keywords are 'next attack' not 'next skill' or 'next weapon attack'.

I was under the impression that I was able to fire both shots within the same turn because that's what was explained last time I asked on irc:

I have 6 bullets total. I could fire 3 volleys of 2 shots or 6 volleys of 1 shot. Has it changed? If you decided to change it I understand but this many mechanic changes within so few phases makes it very difficult to play.

If it's been changed then what is the point of burst? Since it takes an action to shoot a bullet and an action to reload then what is the difference between a weapon with 1 burst and 2 burst initially? I understand with rapid you could then fire an additional attack before reloading but that begs another question do you have to reload to full capacity before you can attack again?

That was in regards to reloading, not in regards to how many attacks are made per action. Burst is written out in the doc and has been for a couple days now.

The point of Burst is to signify that the weapon can only be used for a short period of time when involving attacks, before there's an effective cooldown time where ammo needs to be loaded in. However, if a weapon has Burst greater than Burst 1 then you only need to load a single piece of ammunition into it to fire again.

So I can reload 2 bullets an action?

Standard Ammunition is one piece per action. There's a means of loading multiple pieces of ammunition into a Burst weapon, but they're not standard issue or currently available.

Might instill a rule where characters who are skipped or botted twice in a row will automatically retreat from the run. Expect processing in three and a half hours.

Let's you move up to two spaces, presumably to get out of the way of attacks. I'm not expecting to need to move 4, I'm expecting two separate attacks.
Now, if it's just "use this option to move" you should call it something other than evade.

Considering the intent of the skirmish is to replicate brawler and beat-em-up style combat, Evade is meant to be a means of avoiding counter-attack by just moving out of range. Even then, it says 'move up to 2 spaces' meaning that at least a distance and direction should be included. Otherwise it's assumed that you're just not moving for whatever reason you have. Overwatch is similar, except by default it has the trigger of 'enemy in range moves'.

Going to try and aim for ten hours before processing. See if we can't get a few more rounds out in the same day.

Also, one more skill question. When using >Option: Attack with [Agile Strike], can a different enemy be targeted with it?

Fleet does read 'movement during the turn' so yes, it would allow for moving through enemy spaces. As for the multi-targeting deal, so long as there are multiple targets within range available attacks can be divvied up between them.

Highest value is what stacks, and considering that your shield bonus is applied to armor currently, no.
