I know, right? Those """""moth""""" wings are hideous.

How about this one?

If they genuinely and un-ironically used the word "triggering", you should run away right now and never look back.

0/10.

It triggers me because Saga was garbage

I mean, the image has a point, but it gets lost in all the pretentious retardation that frames it.

Pretty spot on.

And I looked, and behold a rainbow horse: and his name that sat on it was PC Culture, and the memes followed with him.

Seriously though, try finding your words again and tell us why. Also, tell us about your group. Times may be desperate but I like when Veeky Forums tells about their groups.

Leave immediately

>red nose
Its a guide for animators, not for artists, usually TV animators do not draw the nose thing.

Here's what an actual woman looks like, for reference.

Bullshit, Saga is universally beloved by trigglypuffs

Public breastfeeding is a divisive issue.

I thought it wasn't terrible. Not good, but at least the person tried.

Rat Queens was everything that should have been terrible but somehow ended up amazing because everyone else in the setting fully realizes how fucking horrible the main characters are.

Plus proper armour.

Right because breasts being used for other than their designed purpose is wrong.

...

In America.

I don't get why? It'll shut up whiny babies in public places end if you're not a tactless sperg who's too obvious about it you'll get to look at some boobs every now and then. Plus I don't want mothers barricading public toilets with their little monsters 24/7.

Dave is the best Orc. Nobody knows if he's serious about the bluebirds.

No it's not. It's "cuntroversial", meaning anyone who kicks up a stink over it is an attention-seeking cunt.

For something to be "controversial", both sides need to have legitimate arguments and merits.

Those Obsidian Dorkness dudes seem pretty reliable. I'd imagine them to be more like the King's secret service/problem solvers or something? Just getting it done, no fuss or questions, and they've already got pretty non-descript uniforms as well.

There is no female character in AT that follows said guides.

No they don't. I bet you don't even have a group.

>inb4 300+ posts of shit that literally never happened to anybody anywhere

This.

But it's put into absolute perfection by Bee and PuppyCat

Sage

AT? Tumblr? My friend, you are behind the bandwagon! It is all lesbian spacejewels with their palboy SJW lad!

But legit, alot of the AT girls fall into this category in at least some ways. All "vague" colors (Until they released Marceline being white as canon.) Not traditionally girly? PB is a scientist who majors in everything MATH and Marceline is a rockstar. Spunky haircuts? PB goes through quite a few haircuts but they're relatively normal, Marceline has wild unkempt hair that isn't girly or manly, just gross. Hipster attire? Goddamn right Marceline and PB wears out of date throwback clothing, lab coats and rock wear. FP is the only "chubby" character and she isn't overly so.

In other words, you are correct, there is no singular female character that fills all those roles and no character really DEFINED by being female (Which is great, I fucking love AT.) but it still has lots of things that appeal to the Tumblr crowd, just nowhere near what newer more HOT shows do. Seriously, fuck Steven Universe.

I think that pot shot at Scott Pilgrim is pretty unfair. The style was unique at the time, and characters actually did have personality beyond their looks.

No but there's one character in Bea and Puppycat who follows all but two

Ass be used for its designated purpose, doesn't mean you gotta do it on the street.

Indians need not apply.

That's a great term and I'm stealing it. Thanks user.

Apparently your new group is a bunch of fat, sad, basement dwellers from Veeky Forums, if this thread is any indicator.

Try doing some public breastfeeding in India, or Japan or any Muslim country and see what happens. Idiot.

I've only heard about Steven Universe until recently when I tried to read up more on. Is it as bad or worse than Encyclopedia Dramatica makes it? I mean, it sounds pretty boring if the only selling point is that they make characters only to defy norms. Is there any character development/growth?

Well Saga is pretty shit so they're well within their right

>80's Anime

I don't remember anyone like that in Gundam.

Nah son, SU is pretty great, you're just mad.

You'd think there'd be more insults about Indians besides the public shitting. Then again, an Indian probably wouldn't have stolen your job if you were smart enough to come up with a better one.

>Not traditionally girly? PB is a scientist who majors in everything MATH and Marceline is a rockstar.

PB is however still very girly while she does it.

>It's okay to be fat pls don't bully my waifu ;_;
Fuck off back to /co/

SU is surprisingly great, you really shouldn't take ED as non-biased or accurate. It's filled with songs, starts pretty simple and even a bit childish, but slowly evolves into doomsday scenarios and body horror.

I honestly wasn't expecting it to be good, I actually actively avoided it because to me it was "that one tumblr show", but I ended up hooked.

> not traditionally girly
> PB is a scientist who majors in everything MATH and Marceline is a rockstar

Like, sjw aside or whatever. They're still feminine when they do it, what's non feminine about it? If you wanna complain about non-feminity, we've Lumpy Space Princess (Which I actually feel was made to poke fun at tumblr.)

Yeah...somehow I don't think 80s anime did much there.

I mean, did you ever SEE Macross?

SU is a show about three alien robot ex-soldiers and how they deal with the loss of their leader. They also have to take care of a human/alien hybrid and have no idea what to do because they don't understand humans and human customs.
The creator of the show is a woman, though, so the alien robots look like women. This upsets lots of people. And some people are super into it because it's easy to read into something if you try.

Are you retarded? Or does me liking a cartoon trigger you into remembering the mean SJWs who make fun of you online?

I watched the first 20? eps to try and get into SU.

I really couldn't. It seemed harmless enough but nothing special enough to actually go out of my way to watch.

I was told by a rabid SJW that as a white cis male I wasn't allowed to watch SU. It wasn't meant for me. Not that I care what she says, but I figured that if a screaming tranny on tumblr liked it then the show was likely to be shit.

>Bringing up anything remotely space/science fantasy on Veeky Forums that isn't 40k.

I fucking love Saga, but Veeky Forums hates that shit.

>Is there any character development/growth?

Character development and growth is pretty much all the show is about. I mean that and making DBZ with alien rock women, Vegeta included.

Veeky Forums loves scifi.
It's the 40k minority that can't stand anything that isn't 40k.

And Saga has a list of its own problems that make it easy to dislike or to simply find it unappealing.

I enjoy SU, but I'll be the first to admit that it has one of the worst fan bases.

>Veeky Forums loves scifi.
I know it does, and it loves fantasy. Yet for some reason to Veeky Forums none the two shall meet unless it's 40k.

I'm old enough to remember Crossgen.
Which means I can recognize glorified Crossgen when I see it.
Glad I skipped it.

This is pretty much it. People just freak out because it's three women of different looks/body types rather than three Generic White Guys.

The show doesn't do anything "SJW" with it past the generic morality messages cartoons have had forever, it's just the characters involved are women instead of male/female or (since it's very close to a "bromance" thing anyway but with females) male/male.

This is correct.

See, that just makes me want to watch it to spite her.

Ditto. I was interested in piecing together the setting from the hints they drop, but the show itself is kinda boring. Then again the episodes are like 10 minutes long so it doesn't take that much effort to binge. I just don't see what's the big deal about it, either way.

Also, to elaborate a little on this:

Two of the alien characters are very close. As in, so close they literally spend most of the time fused together DBZ fusion dance style.

One of the alien characters was super tsundere for another who is now dead, and still occasionally flips out about it.

The character who is dead (since before the series started) was kind of big (as in literally BIG - twice the height of the other characters), and I guess some tumblrinas thought that "scaled up" and "chubby" were the same thing?

That's pretty much it. The rest of the series is monster of the week stuff, fighting aliens, and adventures of a half-alien kid running around town doing amusing dumb stuff.

Around the second half of season 2, and looking like going into season 3, they finally get into a real impactful plot arc about the background of the Gems and the empire they rebelled from revisiting Earth.

>Then again the episodes are like 10 minutes long so it doesn't take that much effort to binge.

Yeah, which is why I gave it that many eps.

Most shows I wouldn't give 20. If it IS good, it really doesn't start that well. As opposed to Gravity Falls, which did a good job of starting with some crazy fun plots and building up from there.

We've got plenty of SW threads, and Saga is less scifi-fantasy and more fantasy...IN SPACE, a la Spelljammer.

And 40k is less scifi-fantasy, and more just bad sci-fi.

I watched both of the seasons and I can safely say that you didn't miss anything - it's more of the same as those 20 first ones.

Now, GF was a damn good product! Writing, animation, music, all of it was just *right*. It was clear how much care and effort its makers put into it.

>Saga is less scifi-fantasy and more fantasy...IN SPACE, a la Spelljammer.

This is precisely why I love it so much, we need more of this.

>Not good, but at least the person tried.

Brian K Vaughn
the person

seriously?

The fuck is Saga?

Since we're on the subject of Steven Universe for some reason, enjoy this greatness from last year.

Excrement carries and spreads diseases, stinks, and gets on your shoe. Unless a woman shakes her tit like a just-pissed dick she's not going to be making a mess.

Baby's first indie comic. Inoffensively subpar but treated as the second coming by people who have never touched a truly good story.

An Image comic by Brian K Vaughan - the guy responsible for Ex Machina, Runaways, Y - the Last Man.

Basically, hes the Joss Whedon of comics. And just like Joss, he toed the line of pandering until he tipped over hence the hate on this thread.

So how much of a fag do you have to be to think that breastfeeding in public is comparable to defecating in public?

I'm honestly curious.

The difference, you retard, is that you expect that shit from the muslims and the indians, but when a bunch of white people from the country that gave us internet porn, 3d printed guns and the roomba throws a shitfit about it, it's hilarious and a bit sad.

>I guess some tumblrinas thought that "scaled up" and "chubby" were the same thing?
Rose was huge, but she was also fat. This is objective fact. Calling her chubby is not exagerration

>As opposed to Gravity Falls, which did a good job of starting with some crazy fun plots and building up from there.
And dropping the ball by season 2, concluding in a subpar series finale that squanders all the "build up"

>And dropping the ball by season 2, concluding in a subpar series finale that squanders all the "build up"

What?

Thank you for reminding me of this user, my sides have achieved escape velocity.

Winged sci-fi people live on a planet, horned fantasy people live on the planet's moon. They hate each other and wage war all across the galaxy, usually including lots of servant races and mercenaries.

She was a guard, he was a POW, they fall in love, run away, have a kid, get hunted by agents of both governments.

It is, for better or worse, a setting that largely runs on the rule of "Yeah that sounds cool, throw it in!". A race of cyborg people with televisions for heads, spaceships made of wood, a literal baby black hole, etc. Also lots of sex and violence. I kinda like it, though I'm not gonna get into shouting matches online over it either.

Yeah, Gravity Falls really did drop in quality after season 1 when they lost that "weird" young cartoon feel, and delved into memes and Shaylaman esque "it's a twist". But most cartoons nowadays, from Regular Show to Adventure Time, do this.

I'd honestly disagree. I think it did it's second season damn well.

For the most part I enjoyed the second season, though it definitely was different from the first. The series finale was immensely underwhelming though.

It sucked is what I'm saying. By the end they spent too much time obsessing over Wendip tension, negatively characterized Mabel and failed to give her proper development, marred Stanley's characterization with their introduction of his sibling conflict, ignored Pacifica's development, and gave an unsatisfying conclusion to the symbology on the wheel that they were teasing the whole show.

Honestly SU does more with the plot threads it tosses out. It's presentation is arguably poor, it's storytelling can be heavy handed and it's pacing borders on totally fucked, but it has more substance to it than GF did, which really only played at having deeper plot threads.

> failed to give her proper development

Her development about needing to realize that life and the world continues and you can't keep it static isn't development?

They concluded that development with her convincing Dipper to halt the progress of his own life so he could remain with Mabel, convincing her to leave her construct world so she could return the real world to the way it was before, her brother included. It was the opposite of what you're saying

Why do we feel the need to have /co/ threads on Veeky Forums? I left that place for a reason. Well, a reason besides not having time for cartoons.

It's pretty good mate as long as you stay clear of the Tumblr fanbase.

>they make characters only to defy norms
I can't really think of many examples where this is the case. If you look at the main characters on the surface you get:

> Middle-aged Dad who used to be a mediocre rockstar and now lives in his van
> Overly-optimistic chubby kid
> "Prim and Proper" control freak Girl/rock that wants things to be perfectly how she wants it
> Lazy slob girl/rock that annoys aforementioned girl/rock
> Strong and Silent girl/rock

Other characters include:
> Amazonian Warrior girl/rock
> Tsundre Alien girl/rock who "doesn't understand but wants to understand"
> Asian parents with high expectations for their child, and one of them is a doctor
> Aspiring actor
> Annoying little shit kid

Only character I can think of that really "defies norms" is the asian girl who wants to be a sword-fighter instead of a doctor.

They get jealous of all the anime talk.

Iv seen a episode or two, it's ok, nothing great but ok. Just dont star reading the tumblar fanbase shit because after doing that i cant watch the show anymore

>It's okay to be fat pls don't bully my waifu ;_;

>assuming my rock waifu is the fat one
It's like you don't even know Peridot exists.

So was Adventure Time.

Basically tumblrina's ruin everything they latch on to.

The people who speak about a medium or hobby the most are those people for whom that hobby or past-time has fulfilled a niche in their lives normally occupied by achievement, endeavor or other people.
If you want to speak with a regular person (or someone holding a normal person's views) on a subject, go off the board to some place where they're likely to know about that thing.

When you go to a board and stay on topic, you're speaking to the obsessed.

That pic
That sentiment
My brother

Jumping off thread now.

>When you go to a board and stay on topic, you're speaking to the obsessed.

No, you're speaking to people who know where to post when they want to discuss a particular topic.

Stop trying to spin a mythology as some lame attempt at justifying off-topic chatter.

Too bad about the second half of the show and everything else that followed. The first 10 or so episodes were great though

I've heard nothing but positive things about Saga... Sooooo... Idk wtf you all are chittering about.

I want to follow the Daves and the Four Ponies.

Best adventure to be had with those fucks guaranteed.

I have no idea wtf is happening here. Please don't be a shitrolling assmonkey though. You are just throwing things at the other guy that don't actually connect with what he said. With these guidlines now stated, please enjoy your fight with the tumbler person.

Well looks like someone is currently giving BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD today.

Good comics trigger them?

>And 80's-90's anime

Woah WOAH! hold the fucking phone! I was on board until this line. Wha the fuck? Who doesn't appreciate some godly fucking 80's and 90's anime?

NOT cool.

Your group needs to spend less time on Veeky Forums

>And Saga has a list of its own problems that make it easy to dislike or to simply find it unappealing.
Like what? Honest question, I'm pretty into Saga and my only real complaint is that everyone keeps dying. I want more growth in the auxiliary characters, damnit.

It starts off as a real basic magical boy story, but it's grown to be a pretty awesome show with lots of character growth. Just avoid the fanbase at all costs, they're not indicative of the show in the least.

This, really. I'd like that picture more if it didn't have to throw those under the bus. It's not the AT showrunner's fault their fans are awful. It isn't Bryan Lee O'Malley's fault retards appropriated his art style and misunderstood his characters.

The character designs are atrocious. Good art, awful designs.

There's also a distinct made-for-mainstream-television feel that is an awkward and conflicting mixture with fantasy, like you're watching actors who are just tired with dealing with the setting, and that ends up bleeding into the audience. Everything new is just a new problem, there's a sense of tedium and routine that makes anything that could be exciting seem hollow and unfulfilling.

It's like someone took the fixtures of fantasy and science fiction, and just put them haphazardly in a house without knowing what they were for. You flick a switch and the lamps don't turn on, you've got the beds in the bathrooms, and the sofa is blocking the stairs.

It's different, and you can live there, but it doesn't quite work.
