First for Iron Within Iron Without

Second for- GOD EMPEROR HAVE MERCY

...

I claim this thread for the Warmaster!

People without legion rules, how could FW fuck your army up the most?

Fifth for sneaky, stinky Mortar 'Un.
>Dat Mortar 'Un boss is ded tricksy. Brutally kunnin', he's all slippery and sneaky like. Kunningly brutal, 'e does this while stinking worse than a dead grot.

>Sneakin' while stinkin. Everybody else is like "we'z got to make sure they can't smell us when we're sneakin' about". Beakies do this, orkses do this, eldar pansies do this, but Mortar 'Un is all like "You'z all stupid, I's putting on stinky armour, I'z gonna stomp through the jungle all sneaky like and scythe you stealthy cos da Deff Lord's like that. And if you looks at me funny, poison comes outta me face."

Thsts why I was so long afraid if buying FW, I feared I would not do it justice.

By wolfing my shit up.

>Thousand Sons
>Maximum unit size of anything: 10

>SW
by following the 40k route with things

>TS
all kinds of ways

In the words of Praetor Duncan "Thin your paints".
This is really the undeniable fear for 30k Wolves. Unless FW has no choice but to unleash the Ultimate wolf beyond wolf, the True Overwolf things could go nicely.

Imperial Fistz are da best legiun

I think Duncan's more of a Centurion, being a specialist and all that.

My eyes. Delete this.
Now that you mention it Centurion Ducan sounds nicer.

>Wolfships.

parallel universe dornian heresy

Master of the Forge?

That was McNeill's work. I haven't read further into the novel series to see if more wolfery shows up.
Perfect.

...

To be fair no other story has them being called that. This from a Space Wolf hater.

Don't really know much about the Word Bearers except for their religious fervor, why are they most like the Ultramarines?

Huge in numbers

which is a shame that numbers and being Evangelicals on Steroids are the only 2 defining traits, since they could have made em so much more interesting

They didn't just conquer worlds and move on like the rest of the legions, both worked to establish a civilisation/society in their own image on the planets they took.

Because they loved leaving well ordered worlds that sadly deified emps.
So daddy brought Gurlyman with him to show Lorgar howits done.

So WB are to matters of ideology what UM are for the material.

>They both a book of their central tenets, The Codex/Book of Lorgar
>Both Primarchs are more thinkers than straight up fighters
>Both Legions want to build a civilization, either built around Meritocracy, Law, and Order, or the Glory of Higher Powers

But G Money wanted an Empire, which is focused on himself.
Lorgar wanted to glorify something else

And chose a bunch of sentient feelings, rapethoughs, and muderforms.

Selflessness for a cause can still be for a retarded cause I suppose

When your cause is causing self-aware subconsciouses to explode into reality out of peoples' eyes it's a pretty fuckin' stupid cause, yeah.

They both went to Chaos

Top asymmetrical-sworn-brother kek

You got something against evangelists on steroids, boi?

Getting real tired of this mess. Rowboat had no idea what was going on, a Ruinstorm plus an Alpharius was in his way. In the end he was a loyalist, and that's all that counts. Also no more Alpha Legion geometry please. It's getting old.

Agreed

Are we ever going to hear more about this guy in the future?

>Where are the old Thread Eaters?
>But no memepharius plz
Pick one. Or neither, really.

Probably at some point when he moves his freshly conquered Xanax into the Eye of Terror.

Or as soon as the first proper daemon engines appear in the heresy since Xanax was the first. Ah wait, were there any proper daemon engines in the heresy?

I don't want either. All of these memes is becoming tumors in the lungs to me.Garro fought a Defiler on Calth. The Word Bearers found a fossil of a dinosaur on their homeworld, and Lorgar said turn it into a weapon of the Dark Gods. The Book of Lorgar says this was good.

So Satan really did put those dinosaur bones there.

Yes he did. Every daemon is based on a dinosaur anyway, but it doesn't have to be an Earth dinosaur.

It was a trial and error process. A process of "evolution", if you may.

Then why didn't he even TRY to shine the Pharos on Terra huh? Didn't even try to take a peek. Just "NOPE NAH EMPERROR GONE NOW ME BATTLE KING".

A true loyalist would have gone straight to Terra regardless of the cost.
Guilliman was too smart to be truly loyal, like 90% loyal and 10% intelligence getting in the way.

>Guilliman was too smart to be truly loyal, like 90% loyal and 10% intelligence getting in the way.
Indeed. You require a little bit of autist to be fully loyal. Lacking that, a manly mane or a mongolian moustache can supplement loyalty.
What was the Lion's excuse, though?

It took the imagination of an Imperial Fist to get that shit done. Dorn lives? Fuck yeah he does, time to kill some Nightfags.

Is it really called Xanax?

A true loyalist would not flee from the traitors to reach Terra, but would instead kill every fucking dipshit between him and Terra.

Dude's literally named after an animal famous for having a magnificent mane.

Besides, The Lion was trying to head to Terra, he just took a pit stop to see if he needed to curb-check Guilliman.

Xana, IIRC.

Yes, as in, he had the mane, what's his excuse for being absent from Terra?
>He had to check on Guilliman
Reminder that Sanguinius fought literal hell on Signus, got his legs broken and his legion cursed, managed to get to Macragge, got crowned Emperor, braved the Ruinstorm (basically the Bermuda triangle in heeeeeeell) and still arrived to Terra in time.
The Lion has no excuse for not being there, not even "but Curze".

Lion went after G Money because he actually thought Imperium 2 Electric Boogaloo was just as dangerous as the Horus Heresy and the retard was shining a huge spotlight on his home world.

Dear God Emperor it all makes sense now. The Warp is dinosaur powered. Void Whales are every prehistoric sea creature combined.
He made a few mistakes but his heart was in the right place. He's our spiritual liege not an all knowing god.

There used to be a reason why... GW felt it ambiguous as to his true loyalties... but the quest for profits allows no stone to be unturned if even 1 fucking pence can be squeezed from it.

Curze was his reason though. Now that this whole Wolf Cull thing is around maybe he's trying to pull Leman out of the muck.

Holy shit the Spartan is a pain in the ass to put together. I just spent the better part of 3 hours cutting, gluing, greenstuffing, and heating the tracks to the first side. Kill me now.

I really hope Master of Mankind involves a Free Willy type moment where a crazed Void Whale leaps over some Custodes defensive line and body slams a fuck ton of daemons/Custodes/Sisters of Silence

ADB, if you're on this thread you must do this for this user has double dubs.

So instead he let Sangy do the dirty job of saving Terra...

The whole Calth and Lorgar turning Angron into a mindless construct of Khorne took up a lot of free time. Angron probably used Ultramar as practice for being a daemon.

>GW felt it ambiguous as to his true loyalties
His loyalties were never in any doubt, the only one to ever question them was Astelan and he was always obviously an arrogant insubordinate little shit.

The story was always that Lion and Russ were waylaid by many forces which delayed their return to Terra and that their imminent arrival was believed to be the reason Horus dropped his shields.

Is that an old one? They've supposed to have sorted out that shitty separate track problem.

About 99 people will have double dubs, you know? Even you got it. I remember the Satan thread and TurboSatan user. Good days.

Probably. I brought it on myself honestly, it's a recast. Not making that mistake again.

He had a good idea involving void whales so his double dubs matter more.
>the mass Satan convention
Agreed. One of the best Horus Heresy General we had.

Thanks for the support user.
Ate there any draw fags here who can make this happen?

To the user asking about a Dreadclaw for his Gal Vorbak last thread I'd say double down and get a Kharybidis and have 10 Gal Vorbak in it.

satan thread was a good day.

I passed my driving theory test that day.

I would if I could draw.
It was a sign.

>tfw this is better then what I could do

How though? Not getting at you but how exactly do you paint for things to be so bad, do you have shaky hands or something? I'm not a da Vinci or a Duncan by any means but I manage to make a passable attempt at things.

Are there any good warhammer-lite rules I can use to introduce a noob to the game? Something like Killteam but with fewer rules and model stats or something? My gf enjoys board games, has a good competitive streak and thinks that 'my cute space guys' are pretty cool so I'd like to see if she would enjoy warhammer.

Apologies if this is more a 40k general question, I'm asking here because I play 30k only. If it would be better to ask 40k general then I'll happily brave that jungle.

Maybe the Battle at Calth game?
Anyone tried that, iirc it's not a set like Black Reach or anything?

You could always try Space Hulk. Though those rules are nothing like 40k.

Nonsense, make her study LACAL, the Legion Red Book, HH4, HH5, HH6, all HH FAQs and the 7E Rulebook >:^)
Jokes aside, playing 30k needs a lot of books, man .-.

>my cute space guys'
What legion you play?
Forge Woeod wants you to read more.

>World
Fixed.

What's in 4 and 5 that isn't in the new red book?

Book 4 has updated Age of Darkness rules, the same as the ones found on the Mechanicum Red book, both of which override the ones found in the previously released LACAL. Book 5 has some additional entries (like HH6), and also has the updated profile of Laser Destroyer Arrays (48" range)

So am I the only one who's noticed that this Word Bearer is shooting hoops?

Battle-brother, that's not what we meant by 'shoot'. This is why Lorgar sent you to Calth.

The picture would probably be helpful.

He is...playing the trumpet? Can anybody edit it so?

Salvageable if they have the patience.

Legionnaires can stand down, real heroes of the Imperium have arrived. Now with our own redbook edition.

Lorgar sent that marine to Calth due to complaints about an annoying invisible trumpet. Lorgar didn't want to because the marine was become proficient with it, but he had to as it was too much for him.

Should we all just give up and begin playing SA, taking Superheavies as Heavy Support choices? (your medusae suck btw)

Is the Imperial Army book out?

Sucking a giant dick and tickling the balls.

Primarch's sure do look good when three Baneblade equivalents spread them across the table.
You can get it at Gamesday, should be out any week now.

It reminds me of 60's spidey
I found the Emperor's Children

So I've been thinking of giving my Admech forces some sort of shooty deathstar. The idea is a single squad that has enough firepower to wipe out entire units at long ranges in a single shooting phase. So my idea is this
>Magos Prime Myrmidax with two weapons
>10 Myrmidon destructors all with the same weapons
The question is what weapons should I give them? Here were my ideas

>10 destructors with volkite culverins
>myrmidax with 2 photon thrusters (fuck I wish I could take two culverins)
The idea is sheer volume fire. 44 shots wound marines on a 2+, hit on a 2+, and except for the thrusters have deflagrate, preferred enemy means that before taking into account deflagrate you are killing 15 marines in 5+ cover within 48" of you. Against cataphractii terminators you are still slaughtering 8 a turn, and against militia you are liable to kill about 40ish on average after deflagrate, if they aren't in cover the casualties will probably be like 60 (didn't calculate that last one).

>10 destructors with photon thrusters
>myrmidax with 2 photon thrusters
Much like the above but sacrificing volume fire for AP, can kill like 11 cataphractii a turn, can kill 16 marines in 5+ cover a turn. As an aside thanks to lance they can also fuck up damaged AV 14 vehicles if they don't have anything else to shoot at. 3.8 HP shot off an AV 14 vehicle a turn.

>10 destructors with conversion beamers
>myrmidax with conversion beamer and photon thruster
Put them in a tall building and laugh as you blow up everything that doesn't try to close in on your army with conversion beamers. 11 str 10 blasts will erase entire units with ease

Either way all of these units will cost in the neighborhood of 660-760 before including the Myrmidax so it is hardly competitive and I will only use it at 3000 points and maybe 2500 points.

>Either way all of these units will cost in the neighborhood of 660-760 before including the Myrmidax
You could always tone it down to 5 Myrmidon Destructors, which would further mean anti-infantry would be easier than anti-vehicle. Unless you gave them Conversion Beamers. Everything ever dies to S10 AP1. As long as you can get far away enough, that is.

I could always buy and assemble the ten and run them as two different units at times. Either way the main reason I am doing this is because I want a fun counter to stuff like 10 2 wound terminators with a praetor.

Counter probably isn't the right word, I mean a shooty equivalent really.

>10 Myrmidons in a tower with Conversion Beamers
I enjoy this theoretical "Tower of Fuck" tactic

We need a 30k version of this.

So I'm reading the Horus Heresy books, and I've finished up to Fulgrim.

Was the Emperor actually planning apotheosis, or is this a lie the chaos gods tell Horus? It seems 100% plausible to me.

It was a lie made by Chaos. Daemons only want to corrupt and destroy and will go to any lengths to do so.

A lie, the Emperor was planning the ascension of mankind into a psychic master race nd the destruction of chaos.
