What's up with all these disgusting comfy CYOA's I keep seeing? it was bad enough that some degenerate would request it every thread, but now this filth's in the OP? It's official, /cyoag/ has gone to shit.
Yep. You might as well leave now; things are never getting better.
I post random CYOAs for the OP. If you don't like it, then you can make the new thread before I do.
Simple enough.
Stop being a bitch
Well, I said I'd post
>OC
so I better do it.
I-it's not like I want to, idiot!
My interest is rather muted, but I'll look at it later.
>that intro
Is that some /pol/ bait I see? That is some fine bait, user.
Too bad about the CYOA, it looked nice but it's a blatant fetish fest. I'll take the demon timeline though, nothing to lose really. So #339 it is.
Hmmm. Earth #21 definitely has some pretty big flaws from my perspective but damn if that lady doesn't look fantastic in a tux. #268 is a close third place but tease & denial does not at all interest me. Finally, I could live in #339 and that succubus girl sounds pretty perfect. Still can't decide though. Guess I'll roll. Evens are #21, odds I go to #339.
>we literally made Hitler
This is fetishfuel, terrible fetishfuel. Even worse is that it's mostly femdom.
I'm still going to pick #992 though. Men basically have all the power there for some reason.
I mean, the whole thing is pretty baity. Can't say I'm looking forward to people freaking out over shit, probably made up claims of NTR given the track record around here. Still though, kind of a fun distraction of a CYOA. No real meat beyond picking a fetish but whatever. Dropshadows, fitting art, readable text. Certainly above-average.
>boys have to like being raped because it's a girl doing it
Ahem.
How do you come up with a stat system /cyoag/? I've been having trouble creating one for my cyoa.
Don't include one?
What do you need a stat system for?
Seriously. Answer that question and solve for each of your needs, it basically builds itself.
Depends on how detailed you want to get, and to what purpose. Stardust, for example has a lot of stats, but they don't mean anything because no units are given. Other CYOAs have quests with stat unlocks. Power Armor borders on actual RPG mechanics, while Rapture Academy reverse engineered its stat system from the RPG it's based off of.
What do you want to do, user?
Anyone have any medieval fantasy CYOAs?
Is Gluttony not the best choice?
I made a stat system with my upcoming CYOA because I found it to be a key mechanic. Don't include stats for the sake of stats or you get that whole mess with Titanlands.
Try to give meaning to your stats, I mean the Monster Hunter CYOA was good practice on stats, but it could've been better. Still, try not to make it too overly complicated. Cap it if you can.
No. The best choice is to be embraced by the Lord in Heaven and not to fall for Satan's trickery.
Okay the problem is I don't know which I pick, all I know is that I don't like #339.
Just look at it
>Timeline #21
>Women harassing me, groping me form behind while I do the dishes and getting fondled in public while pretending to resist
>Timeline #268
>Fucking Amazons. Sweaty, battle sacred women throwing me in bed
>timeline #635
>/ss/. On second thought, it would return me to before puberty. No thanks.
>Timeline #992
>Also a daring timeline but not much as the top two
You win this one, faggot. I can't find the best one.
That could be any Austrian former painter.
I didn't make the CYOA, but my headcanon is that his paintings would have been so bad that literally any other timeline would have been favorable
...
We have options for that as well
>he doesn't want to build a 170.5 stat points godslaying character
How pathetic.
Triple sevens are hard to deny, but Gluttony was the first one I looked at and that sounds terrible. Maybe the other 6 come with huge downsides as well but is the point of this CYOA to pick which one of 7 awful curses you're supposed to try to live with?
...
All of the options are pretty good. #268 is probably my least favorite because it seems painful. #339 is good, but expects me to be too forward. The other three are a bit of a toss up, though. I think I'll go with #992. It seems to have nice security (40:60 ratio). Plus it even mentions being possessive. I don't mind the cute, either. Actually, as far as that goes, #635 is also good. Gonna go with #992, though, because of the opportunity to be stay-at-home.
If I were you, I would have named the timelines, though. Like: "#339 - Demon Uprising" so that they could more easily be referenced in builds. Unless there's context clues, I can't recall which each number was.
Well here
I'm gonna take the #21'th timeline
How to make a working stat system:
1. Make all stats equally powerful.
2. Make sure all options have the same cost per stat ratio.
3. Cap stats.
As said Titanlands was a mess that failed completely at #2 and #3, and Monster Hunter is a good example of well implemented stats. I'd also suggest looking at Dark City and Train Stop for examples of good stat systems.
That's not the order the quotes were supposed to be in.
Oh well...
Meh. I'd like 21 if it wasn't for the "playing hard to get" thing. I like the idea of being the only guy who will actually give them what they want.
hey Veeky Forums for a CYOA with classes, would you rather have each class get a choice of skills (like how Titanlands has a choice of Fire Manipulation, Boiling blood, etc.) or would you rather you pick abilities like a Fireball spell?
I kind of just took that as being as accurate as any broadly-spoken relationship advice in our current world. Write a 2 paragraph description of the culture of our current world and it's going to be more wrong than right so I just figured it got the broad strokes across but other than that it's still basically humans. The generic advice holds true generally, but it's much more important to be able to respond to individuals, well, individually.
I'm fine with either. Hell, mix the two together with "generic abilities" and "specialist abilities".
I hate cyoas where picking a class means nothing more than getting 4 skills. I'm not a fucking pokemon. Having Raise Undead, Drain Life, Death Blast and Create Monstrosity, does not make me feel like a Necromancer.
I can't quite parse this, but I think I know what you're trying to ask.
Personally, I prefer a box of skills to choose from, and if there's character classes I prefer the class to have some kind of perk that synergies with everything.
For example, I could pick a warrior class, and their special skill might "weapon arts", which allows me to use martial techniques based on my abilities. Even if I spend every one of my skill picks on magic abilities, I'm still a great fighter, because I've made myself a spellsword.
WIth the same set of skill picks, I could be a mage, a rouge, an assassin, and a bard, and if the class perks are done right, I'll still be a great mage, bard, whatever.
That's just my thoughts on the matter, but I might not even be answering the question you're trying to ask anyway..
There not really curses, but I see your point. And to answer your question, you pick one of seven powersets and imagine what you would do with them.
It's strange, many people have stated Gluttony is terrible, and yet I still like the option. Am I retarded?
>I'm not a fucking pokemon
you sure?
What a manslut. Don't you know that a pencil that gets sharpened too much is eventually reduced to nothing? I bet you have a small d and a lot of mommy issues.
I would always, always prefer something like "fire manipulation" to any number of specific spells I can do with fire. I loathe that kind of creativity-crippling video gamey mechanic.
...
Well after having taken the time to read through them all they're all pretty terrible in one way or another. Which is fitting. Gluttony, to me, still seems like the worst choice however. It just removes so much of your agency as a person the drives you mad over time. It's not even about enjoyment; Lust has very similar problems but the Chosen of Lust at least about pleasure and isn't driven by the same overpowering compulsion. A Chosen of Gluttony loses the ability to do anything but eat and is unlikely to find any enjoyment in the task until their mind is truly lost.
...
yeah... I realize I haven't a damned clue what you're all picking.
Quite frankly having only four moves makes him less than a pokemon, at least each poke has a different ability as well.
Black on White text, please?
Yeah, I guess that would suck. Though I have taken much time to think about it and may have found about two or three ways to deal with the loss of sanity. Care to hear?
So my idea was this:
Warriors (or the rough equivalent) get superhuman statistics and inhuman skill with some weapons of their choice.
And mages (or the rough equivalent) get stuff like fire manipulation, lightning manipulation, etc. etc.
And you get to pick and choose some of the abilities like in Titanlands.
Sounds good to me
Welp this is the first technically playable build probably won't post an update again until i finish the next (and for my sake hopefully last) two pages anyways hope you guys don't hate it.
1/2
Ended up dropping demonology for assassination and cherviler for dueling
also special thanks to all you wonderful volunteer proofreaders you guys are awesome and beautiful and I would buy you the highest quality boxed wine if i could
2/2
can someone post the latest dragon cyoa?
>Uzuza
>Unarmed Combat x3
>Ki Attuenment x3
>Physical Training x3
>Berserking
>Timeline 21
Oh yess, this is my fetish
Lunestier
Master Tactics, Advanced Teamwork, Advanced Maneuvers, Basic Traps, Basic Stealth.
Lunestier: Diplomacy.
Warriors, Mages, Archers. They're all valued, but none is more valued than the leading officer, whom always gets a better pay-- Which stands to reason, as there are less leaders than there are warriors and followers behind him.
Here I go!
"Someone derives pleasure from something I don't like so I'm going to complain about it and ruin everyone else's good time." You are an enormous tool. I hope you grow up one day.
Hit me, if only because now I'm darkly curious as to what could come out of this CYOA.
That has been the theme of the last few threads. It's shit, yes, but this one has been remarkably clear so far.
>I don't like #339.
B-but, Succubus onee-sans...
Can anyone link skeleton gangrape CYOA? Me and my friends are gonna run a SG session this weekend.
At this point I'm just annoyed.
I'll still do your cyoa when it's finished, but seeing this half-finished thing posted over and over again is getting boring. I'm not going to look at it until it's done.
Reposting my question from two threads ago.
>For easy drainage, shouldn't it read something like "unless your body has an unusually high production rate, you'll be fully drained with every discharge"?
>As it is, I think it kinda reads as the opposite of that.
>not looking her in her eyes
>not looking her in her tits
Does this guy just have the craziest neck fetish, or what?
>the way her eyes squint when he asks about the age
Amazing
>Ej Har
>Physical Training: Advanced (2)
>Armed Combat: Master (5)
>Manouvers: Advanced (7)
>Blood Magic: Master (10)
I'm not sure about this build but it might work and I like Ej Har as an institute. I wouldn't be much of a pure mage, rather a warrior wielding blood weapons, and using blood magic for enhancement and support.
I'll probably end up scrapping this build though.
Kindly kill yourself
I'm not even joking. I genuinely don't want to live in a world where you might end up raping a woman and spreading your genes.
>Ej Har
I don't think most people would mind if I just went rogue and did my own thing, being an Ej Hari mage.
>Arcane Magics * 3
>Summoning Magics * 3
>Potion mixing * 2
>Smithing * 1
>Blood Magic
I'm a magic inventor!
I think he's looking back. Like, the direction that to the succubus, would be left. More like he's just avoiding eye contact entirely.
As you already know, Gluttony's main issue is his ever increasing decent into madness. However, I see two (maybe three) ways to fix it.
1. Join Pride and help him get the others. Since Pride's Might of the Emperor ability makes him a god upon having the other sins view him as their leader, it is within reason that Pride would be able to aid in keeping Gluttony sane and able to think.
2. Eat Envy. Might just be the most likely option to succeed. Since Feed allows Gluttony to take the powers of any chosen he consumes (though much weaker), eating Envy and using Theft to take other's sanity and use it for yourself would deal with the madness.
3?. This one is only questionable because it involves (set in the same universe of course). Instead of siding with the forces of darkness, it might be possible to use Kindness's wish ability to remove madness from Gluttony's powerset entirely and allow him to join the forces of good, though this may require multiple wishes (three or four).
Thoughts?
Wasn't able to post this in the last thread when people were asking for BroQuest stuff.
Hard to say between /ss/-world or reversed gender roles (#21). /ss/ since fem -> male rape is one of my more shameful fetishes.
Pretty sure the school exclusive magics are 'free.' You get nine to spend in the 'public' pool and 1 to spend in the 'private' one.
Forgot to mention, Number three will require other people to be willing to sacrifice their wishes for you.
I don't dislike this at all, but I'm with the other guy. I don't really get the purpose of posting works in progress, cyoas are like anything else you write. You should finish a bit, look over what you've done, finish more, look things over, finish the entire thing and give it a careful rereading again, checking once more after every change, and definitely make sure to use spellcheck somewhere along the line. Putting WIPs in the thread only gives people promises of things to come that may be left unfulfilled due to loss of time, work, or motivation.
All that said, my build so far
>St. Flares
>Ki Attunement Mastery
>Arcane Magic Mastery
>Elemental Magic Mastery
>Basic Proficiency in Druidism
Things should go either very right or very wrong for me like this.
I like this well enough but all of them are basically the same.
I'd go 339 as it's a little less about being raped all the time.
Alternatively to Odesium, Enhancement.
Master Arcane Magic, Master Elemental magic, Basic Illusion Magic, Advanced Summoning Magic.
Selling magical weapons can be profitable I guess. Not sure how Illusion Magic and Summoning Magic can add up to enhancement, but I guess its worth it.
Did you mean to reply to that user or was that supposed to be for someone in another thread?
You had the same build as me! Well, I didn't plan on getting Broly big though. Plus imma mage slay.
>Beast training
>aquatic creatures, incests, birds of prey, etc
>incests
uh
Since the exclusive magics don't mention your proficiency in them, I assume they function exactly the same as the basic classes. They're just exclusive and you get 1 point in them for free.
>B-but if a man doesn't like being dominant he's a deviant
Oh yeah sorry for the deviancy
I don't hate it.
Based on what you have so far, I think I'd shoot for a techno-bard:
Odesium
Basic Ranged Combat
Basic Smithing
Advanced Illusion Magic
Basic Arcane Magic
Advanced Bardic Arts
Basic Mage Armor
Advanced Enhancement
I will have a robot band with illusion magic lightshows. I wanted airship skills too, but instead I'll partner up with a bro whos and airship specialist and we can tour the world that way.
>he doesn't get his beasts to train from incests
What user, you've never heard of the legendary Imouto? They say it only comes into bloom every 15 years.
Oh wait scratch that, I read that wrong. I had 3 in Berserk and one in maneuvers.
I obviously meant it for you, you collosal faggot.
>Baisc Mage Armor
>Advanced Enhancement
Max 1 specialist class, that's not how it works, yadda yadda, sorry mate.
I'm not surprised you can't read, given you can barely spell. You can go back to /d/ to fap over your cartoons rather than post them here.
What is this anime?
... For research purposes, of course.
Pretty sure Box Wine said that the exclusives work the same way as the other courses. Except of course you can only pick the ones from your school.
He should be fine
>School
Odesium
>Classes
Knowledge (Master-Engineering)
Smithing (Master)
Ranged Combat (Basic)
Maneuvvers (Basic)
Tactics (Basic)
>Odesium Classes
Airship Training
build me a badass airship and join in some badass adventure
...
>I obviously meant it for you
Funny, considering I didn't start posting in this thread until after you told that user to kill himself. Reading comprehension would have told you it wasn't me, considering I said "that user" instead of "me."
I'm genuinely confused though, how do you get that someone should kill themselves before they rape someone by them admitting to be a guy that wants to have the female role in a relationship? Actual rape rates aside, it's about 50/50 for the gender split for those curious, society tends to view the female role as rape victims, not perpetrators.
Where does it say that?
It says 9 classes, + one free specialist course.
And then the specialist courses are exclusive to a school.
So why shouldn't I be able to spend some of my 9 class points on extra specialty classes?
(Them working on the same Basic/Advanced/Master as the common classes was an assumption of mine though)
So I disagree. Unless you are actually Box Wine in which case you may want to specify that only one exclusive course can be taken.
I asked about in the other thread and what I understood is that you have 1 free course from the specialized school, but nothing tha limits it to only one.
Konosuba.
Watch it now, it's great.
