I see there's another GM out there who enjoys plagues of pickpockets.

I just have a bunch of tables saved, I don't think I've ever used them because my players don't go pickpocketing very often.

That's all I have.

Thank you, kind user(s). I have little to add, but I love everything you've posted.

Same here

I've worked on some of the 40k 1d4chan tables, though, so there's that

What book did these tables come from?

Here's this thing I made for thief skill failure that I posted over in the OSR thread.

I'm not sure. Rolemaster maybe?

>Happy, normal travelers who just happen to really like black, hooded robes

I do this all the time. One time my PCs travelling through not!Scandinavia at night, and I had them meet some 'dark, hooded characters walking solemnly in a single line; you cannot see their faces'. PCs got suspicious and started drawing weapons in anticipation, only to find that they were (Good) monks journeying to the next stop on their pilgrim. They wore that stuff because it was, well, really fucking cold. And snowy.

Allowed me to catch the PCs off-guard when another group of similar people were in fact some hitmen setting up an ambush for them.

Also, nice double dubs.

It's fun sometimes

Vamp for interest

Thanks!
