Infinity General: Nice Edition

Infinity is a 28mm scale skirmish game by Corvus Belli where nearly 200 years into the future people still only get along when posing for art.

ALEPH please leave

ALEPH will never leave you, ALEPH is your best friend.

Aren't they getting along because they're commissioned by the O-12?

Aren't all the factions except combined army officially at peace?

Remember, ALEPH lies.

>officially
Yeah. Tell that to mine fields and defensive structures on Svalarheim though.
Personally I really like the "cold war" approach. Making multi-faction parties in the RPG is going to be fun.

It won't last.

So who else is ready to try some insane HSN3 lists?

> using the oop azra'il with panzerfaust as Hassassin bahram theme daylami

Would you have a problem with this? Would a TO have a problem with this?

It's more a proxy of al Fassed imo, but I'd allow it.

>ahl fassed
Who?

Why? Why did they name that Shasvasti unit the Aswang?

Phlip name of some monster I think

The often forgotten, other run of the mill HI for Haqqislam. Kinda similiar fluff to Wu Ming.

I honestly don't know why they exist. They pay a point more to lose religious and have a cube, which is useful about 15% of the time in Haqq.

So I can joke about my asswang penetrating your zone of control

ass wank

Can't say it rings a bell
;-]

I'm looking at Corregidor because Wildcats are awesome. However, what is the best option for a Lt in the secretorial? The Intruder looks cool but is pricey, everyone else costs some kind of SWC

Intruder is generally the most survivable. The Brigada has more wounds but easier to track down. But yeah, Nomads generally have crap for LT options. Pick whatever you can fit in and where you are willing to risk. An Alguacil in a defensive fireteam may work as well as Brigada or Intruder. The Wildcat is an option if you aren't committing the fireteam as a vanguard. Only one I would rule out is the Hellcat LT.

Vanilla and Bakunin actually made out pretty well with the taskmaster and Kusanagi update.

I got my book today. I really like the little pics for alternate color schemes for different branches for a unit.

Still learning not to suck shit at lists. As usual, fuck my shit up chaps

Half Assed.

All that list and no surprises. Too many links, that third link has only 3 orders to operate with, not enough guns to be dead killy with, and no specialist. Tohaa have access to the cheapest TO, what's effectively a AD HI, and the Igao. One of the first two can help you regain the initiative, and the third might be cool now. I also cant see a Lieutenant, did you print off the courtesy list. I can still tell the Lieutenant is the 1 normal Kamael. Try to make it a 10 order list, with 2 links, and add some upfield operators

...

Do I really need FO for an ITS scenario? Been trying to work out the kinks of fielding a HI link team and this is the first one with Haramaki where I fill out the SWC. Is this too kill oriented?

You don't NEED them, but it's often a cheap and easy specialist profile to work in. The hairiest thing with your list is how of your three specialists, two of them are in Group 2 and thus won't be able to do much without a command token transfer. Might want to move things around a bit. The Husong can definitely be in group 2.

>Ko Dali, Aswangs and Sheskiin all get Protheion L1
>Cadmus loses it entirely
Fuck. I guess it clears up the rules and technically counts as a buff for most of them, but I was still hoping for some decent levels.

You don't always need FO, but you definitely need more than 4 shitty unlinked line troops. Those guys should be your backups, not your main specialists. Get a couple of good specialists in there like ninjas or bikers.

>sekban sempai will never notice me

You dont need one, but they are the cheapest specialist across all factions. They also have a neat Flash Pulse which is really nice for AROs at ranges longer than the rifles.

One thing your list lacks is high burst weapons. The Husong is the only one right now. You could add a Domaru with Spitfire to the Haramaki link or perhapd a Rui Shi for the MSV2. Also maybe consider Yojimbo. Saito, or Shinobu for Smoke Grenades. In fact Saito is 2pts cheaper than the Oniwaban and I would highly recommend him over the generic brand.

The Sekban are way too good now to notice anyone else.

I just need them to make some new Djanbazan so I can make my spice trader boarding team.

So KHD can ignore the firewall that hacking through a repeater does and can also target the hacker(s) on the table. So, say in the reactive turn for a KHD, if a repeater carrying model comes into range can it declare a hack ARO against a hacker through the repeater or is that getting too overzealous?

>courtesy list
Next time give us the actual list so we can see the Tarsos and Clipsos

As for the list itself, the biggest problem I see is that second group. It's shit. The link is fine, but it's a doorkicking link and those require more than 3 orders to function effectively.

Mutans are a bit pointless and shitty. I'd definitely recommend switching to a Surda so that you can give your Gao-Rael some smoke to shoot through.

Kamael are undeserving of spitfires when you have so many great symbiont units that don't die in one shot. I'd give it to the Gao-Rael so you can smoke combo your way to victory.

Your lieutenant is both obvious and incredibly brittle. Not a good combination.

You can only target the active trooper during ARO. You can't shoot some random model when someone moves in front of you; you have to shoot the active one.

You can only ARO a hacker if the hacker is activated with an order.

Just got my HSN3 shipping notification- ordered from MM, living in the northeastern US. Not sure if I got the exclusive mini or not, but excited either way!

Suppose I plan on using the Samaritan+ 2 Xeodrone Haris what is the best core link team for it?

Unidrons?
Rodoks?

Probably Unidrons. If you get Rodoks, I can't imagine you'll have much of any points left for specialists and other support troops.

Unidrones, maybe with a Nexus hacker. Rodoks are expensive.

Not an Umbra Legate Hacker?

I havent finished reading the fluff boof yet, but there are some really stupid errors in the book. Like the image of the Seraph and Celestial Guard KSCD miniatures are in incredibly low res. Artwork of the muyib labelled as Bashi Bazouks.

You're like 140 points in the hole for the Haris, don't want to put another 40 into the Unidrons. Leaves you with too little to spend on everything else you need.

The samaritan can be a hacker right?

Yes he can. Only an assault hacker though.

They're expensive too. Nexus are cheap and can be both a lieutenant and a supportware bitch.

With Good night to boot.

Cheers guys, Learned a bunch. Will have another crack with these things in mind, apologies for courtesy list, says a lot you still knew what was there.

>says a lot you still knew what was there
It says I clicked the button on the PDF that said 'Open in Infinity Army'.

Oh god 200 points is full awful, how do you do this

Missions: Coffin Raiders, Nimbus Zone, Emergency Transmission, no specops, 200 points fox only, final destination

200/200, 3.5SWC

Bolt ML (27/1.5)
Bolt Hacker (27/0.5)
Bolt Spitfire (24/1.5)
Bolt Paramedic (24/0)
Bolt Lt (22/0)
Machinist (15/0)
Trauma Doc (14/0)
Auxilia FO (15/0)
Auxilia FO (15/0)
Bulleteer HSG (17/0)

Bolts are too expensive at 200pts. Go with the cheaper Fusiliers. You'll need a lot orders for Coffin Raiders and Emergency Transmission

Is this what it feels to be kurwa

What I should add to Hassassin bahram sectorial pack for 150 points?

Bolts are fine at 300pts. You might be able to make it work at 200, but Coffin Raiders and Emergency Transmission can be very order intensive. You should always build lists for the missions

Box of muyibs, Barid, Farzans, ghazi muttawiah, and Lasiq Viral Rifle are all solid choices.

Do you already have the starter box? Because unless you really like the miniatures, I dont recommend it. It doesn't have a Lt option or 3 basic infantry, and it really needs a resculpt

More Muyibs. Farzan + another Lasiq/Ragik/Fiday. Get some Muttawiah after that, theese guys are superb, especially since the HSN3 update.

I may need to buy more Fusiliers or Auxilia then...

>Do you already have the starter box?
Yep, I actually planning to use one daylami as ghulam so for and buy 2 ghulams with title and hmg.

Expensive links in general are a bad idea at 200 points. They don't leave room for any other shit. This is one situation where Fusis are definitely the better option.

>ghulam and buy 2 ghulam with title and hmg
stupid android

Remember that in Emergency Transmission Engineers (Machinist only in PanO's case) get a +3WIP to synching the consoles and connecting the antenna.

In Coffin Raiders, Doctors and Paramedics get a +3WIP to do objectives.

and in Nimbus Zone, Hackers avoid the -3WIP penalty to download datapacks.

I'm not a fan of ghulams in Hassassin Bahram mostly because they can't have more than 4, and they pale in comparison with Muyibs.

Miniaturemarket. Tiger Soldier with BSG for 7USD.

Anyone else like to just pop in a movie/youtube letsplays/podcast and just make bases?

Ordered a bunch of shit on MM with store credit, so I decided to make bases for them ahead of time. The white bases on the right are for the Su Jian, ISS starter, Kanren, and Lucien Sforza. The 5 on the left are for Stephan Rao and for the new Bagh Mari, since they're in this month instead of the Stingrays. Then I've got Maggie coming in that same MM order as well.

What kind of stuff are you working on? Post pics if you got em.

I made the error of getting MAS urban ones for my first YJ minis.
Never again.
I'm now realising I'd far rather use either base toppers or just make the bases from textured plasticard. Resin ones for metal minis are a royal pain in the ass.

Lol, they still haven't got their HSN3 copies out yet have they?

I should really try out some of those textured sheets, but etching out the bases are so repetitive that it's relaxing.

Just curious why did you not like the MAS bases. I never used them because I want a uniformed look, but their bases varied too much IMO.

Actually I think theyre in now.

Any cool fluff for the yanks? What the fluff for the Buffalo armor.

Yeah, I noticed the CG image last night. Pretty annoyed at that, considering what the book costs. I'm very tempted to just scan the pages I'm interested in and sell it on, if I'm honest.

Only that the Buffalo armor is servor powered and after the expenaive test period it became one of the main components of Ariadnan military tech.

The Blackjacks themselves are suppose to be the ruthless "take no prisoners" units. After executing fallen enemies, they drop an ace of spades on the bodies. The origin of the name Blackjacks is unknown. It could be the tactical black color of the test models. Could be the series names of the prototype which caused the test pilots.to have the code name "Buffalo Soldiers." Or it could come from the favorite card game from the unit leader, Lt Col Michael Cortado

Stonewalls, Riverside Alpha Dogs, Deadwood Dukes, Centerville Crushars, Springfield Cobras, Truman Avengers, Tara White Knights, Newport Krakens, Gracetown Kings, and the Madison Mad Dogs are all USAriadnan Dog-Bowl Teams!

Also Fairview, Kennedy is famous for manufacturing "a refreshing Cola beverage which was famous during the 20th and 21st centuries"

I know it's Coca-cola but with that vague description I'd like to think it's Irn Bru.

Irn Bru is for Caledonians.

Gets you through
youtube.com/watch?v=fX_K4mNTTI8

I have a hard time choosing between standart Haqqislam, Qapu Khalqi and some of the more russian looking Ariadna.

Try and sell me on one of them

Kazaks are, at the minute, a non-sectorial. They're getting a Sectorial list next year (hopefully) in Acheron Falls. Right now, it's entirely possible to run a good pure-Kazak list; I do it myself. You'll be missing out on a couple of good things, but it's entirely plausible. The focus is definitely on camo and heavy hitting pieces; Tankhunters or an HMG Spetsnaz are auto-include. For me, Scouts are as well.

Haqqislam has only one TAG.

It's the only TAG you'll ever need.

I probably wouldnt get many kazaks since i'm not so hot on their model, but spetznaz, scouts and loup-garou's painted like something out of stalker could be sexy.

Is it really that good ?

I hope you like big booty bitches, its got some serious middle eastern thickness going on

I adore Infinity lore, but I really dislike how every unit's description bends over backwards with trying to make said unit sound hyper badass. It comes off as cheesey.

For 78 points you get an ARM 8 TAG with a MULTI HMG, which can go into suppression with AP or Shock ammo (your choice), forcing your opponent to eat -3 to hit you, an if think you can't hit with the suppression, you can break it and hit him with an explosive shot for 3 armor saves. It can also have 2 Heavy Pistols or a Heavy Flamethrower, and is cheaper than a lot of other TAGs at its level. It has Advanced ECM so anyone who wants to do Guided missiles at you, instead of dodging, you can make him fire at -3 (so like on 8s, on 5s with a Hacker, on 2s with two hackers). You're also S8 so you can pretty much go over anything.

For 20 points more you get 360 visor. Yes, you have a 360 degree suppression fire with AP or Shock ammo. You cannot be snuck up on.

you both make a very good arguement

as a side note, are Azra'il considered worth it at all ?

They were really good pre HSN3 in QK because they could link with Hafzas. They can't do that anymore, but they're still good area denial.

Maggie's not the most deadly TAG in the game, but she's amazingly cheap for what she is. Her larger silhouette value knocks 10 points off the price and isn't that much of a problem unless you've got really dense terrain.

Calm down, I like big fat asses as much as the next man, but the Guijia is like 10 points more, and can do everything the Mag guard does (except 360 visor), as well as fit through doors and access 5 point cheerleaders.

Don't take a Mag guard because it's a kick ass unit, take it if you think it's fun. Actually, apply that to 30% of your army. Infinity is very hard to net list for, and few things are truly terrible.

Yup. They're a solid heavy weapons HI, especially with the updated feuerbach stats.

Has there been word from CB about releasing a pdated models for the Orc with HMG and Boarding Shotgun?

Sweet, the model is downright sexy, good to know it would also have a place on the table.
Well the whole ''don't take the units that are good, take the ones you like'' should go without saying. This isnt 40k.

Sounds like i'll be rocking with takbirs and subtle muslim asses soon.
Thanks for the responses guys

>subtle

Glad someone caught that little nugget.

Might as well ask another question since the thread is alittle slow.
Do you guys bring one or two bashi bazouks ? My list might end up beiing a bit low on models, so it sounds like a good idea to force my opponent to run the shell game to keep a guy out of his backline.

>Shrouded AVA4 and Gwailos AVA5 in Army
Great, I just fapped and now I've got an erection again.

French still got fucked though

Had another crack at it, am having trouble fully utilizing my SWC whilst keeping my lt somewhat ambiguous (worried I'm still failing at that)

This any better chaps? Any crit welcome

There are a few sources for other 28mm modern Russians that I've been contemplating. I suspect the Line Kazaks will be getting an update in the next 12 months; they're old models. Presumably, there'll be a Kazak starter set with 3 Line Kazaks, a Scout, a Veteran Kazak, and perhaps a Spetsnaz or Tankhunter, all in new sculpts.

That HMG ectros should be linked. Also you have 30 point free and tohaa have chain of command models for less then 30 points. You dont have to keep e lt ambiguous, tohaa have good chain of command options. That lis is better, though keep in mind thtat by spending a command token your opponent can reduce you to six orders on your first turn if you go first

Thanks! Trying to work Chain of command in now. Is it worth throwing an extra model or two into a group on its own if I have some leftover points? I heard models from group 1 can be replaced by models from group 2 if they die.

While the Kazaks will probably get a resculpt, it won't happen for a while, and I really like the old ones.

Yeah, costs a command token unless you have Free Agent.

Check corvus belli facebook page, they posted a video announcing a 300 points onyx force army pack

Rifle guys are very cool, they have 90s/early 2000s Russian special forces esthetics. The girl looks weird, though, I didn't even paint her. What I'm really hoping for is a Scout and Tankhunters resculpt.

Their twitter works too.
And you can just link the youtube video like any sympathetic lazy person.

youtube.com/watch?v=lkx23EQEr88

> The only change to MRRF for HSN3 is to nerf their least used fireteam.

Why?

I don't know if it's guaranteed to happen within a year's time. There are a lot of Starters that are woefully out of date. Ariadna, Caledonia, Yu Jing, JSA, and Shock Army all come to mind. These all need desperately to get resculpts, but I can't see Corvus releasing a new starter every 2-3 months.

>mfw I already bought 5th moblot

Why the fuck?
