While certainly well-intended, the efforts of the rurals didn't produce quite the results they had hoped for. Corruption, inefficiency, mismanagement - there have been many problems encountered as tax avoidance has increased along with other instances of crime throughout the republic. Some investments have made their way to rural regions in Aymsland, still, but the public has been generally unhappy with the current government's decisions - the massive military spending, the banning of tobacco and now the Rural Development Act of 1189.
The Southsea Coalition in particular has been angry at the Establishment.

There's six major political parties in the Council.
Conservatives are split between Traditionalists(who value religion, traditional 4values etc.), Urbans(government-involved industrial development), Rurals(government-involved rural development). Liberals are divided into social(expansion of personal and political freedoms), market(proponents of less government involvement in the market) and there's the Southsea Coalition, representing the interest of the southern colonies, who generally align themselves with the liberals.
There's elections every two years, alternating between Upper(Council and President) and Lower(Congress and Chancellor) with four year mandates for every official. Conservatives hold a majority in both Houses as well as the Chancellor and President positions. In recent years traditionalists have pushed for the ban on tobacco and drugs, urbans(connected to the powerful military-industrial complex) have supported an increase in the military's size and expenditure and rurals have most recently passed the Rural Development Act, which has been poorly recieved by most.
The ruling government's popularity has plumetted in the last three years, in the upcoming elections for Council and President the liberals have a great opportunity to gain traction.
We, the Elites of this country, must make a choice on how we shall influence the upcoming election season.

Decentralization of administration

thinking a bit about how it can and must be administrated i'm thinking about the government giving plans periodically (like the 5 year plans) and then the local authorities must handles the issue and the agencies that aren't affiliated with the local government verify if the instruction were handled in the interest of the nation.
We could divide on multiple level kindda like modern France (Area>Region>Department>Town administration)
Where the government make decision on the scale of Areas.
Then the other institutions implement them following regulations given by the government.

The emphasis here is that while states are free to implement things under the standards that the law sets.
Meaning the region and department have no legislative power whatsoever.
Meaning the law is standardized and they get the freedom of administration we give them but they're still free to have local representatives and a good amount of executive power (that we regulate).

Major state reforms! We've decentralized our administration.
The Capital Administration in Centerhold holds all legislative power, determined by Congressional Representatives(determined by districts based on populatioln) and Councilors(two from every Region). The Head of State - our President - can be elected for a five-year mandate through direct elections.Regions have junior and senior Councilors with four year mandates and alterating elections every two years. Elections for congressional representatives are also held the same way in their respective districts.
The Chancellor serves as head of government and is elected on a four year mandate.
The nation is divided into eight Areas - 4 in Aymsland, 2 in Eyerdar, 1 for Ocras and 1 for Veita. Each Area is assigned a Governor-General by the Chancellor.
Areas are split into Regions, which are also divided into Territories(which hold one or more congressional electoral districts).
Chain of command and balance is provided - every district and region has representatives in the central government, the two heads are directly chosen, the central government appoints Governor-Generals in each Area who then make sure the directives of the government are being followed in each Region(with its respective regional governor, locally elected, below him are various mayors).

The Faith has had several holidays it celebrates and people in various regions also celebrate local tradiional holidays, but we've now also established several national holidays - Mother's Day, Father's Day, the Faith's largest holiday, Oofnarrag(celebrated at Winter Solstice), Worker's Day, Day of the Armed Forces(same day as Atanius' birthday).
Sports are becoming more popular and widespread - there's martial sports(We've reopened the Grand Tournament in Southport), Ball games, athletic and non-athletic disciplines. We've set rules for the establishment of sport clubs and have worked together with the KE and SA to set the grounds for international competitions.
Various inventions in recent years:vinyl discs, the first colour film, first helicopter flight, demonstration of nuclear fission of uranium.

In light of this theory, and our advancing knowledge of rocketry, I suggest the construction of a large, advanced and secure institute high in the southern mountains of aymsland, near Cloudgazer.

The immediate goal of this facility is to allow us to test, research and create advanced rockets and spacecraft in a private location.

We've established the Space Exploration Program, based in Cloudgazer. The long-term goals of this Program wil be to work with the Ballistics research institutes to launch a rocket into space, animals, manned flight and eventually artificial satellites and so on.
This effort WILL take many years.

On the plus side, the first international sports tournaments have been a great success for our national team! The Kaichou have also been making major scientific progress into nuclear, ballistic and computing technology, having caught on to us in theoretical fields. At large, the world is at peace.
