Man, the last thread saged quick. I'll do my best to keep this one alive, since we've had a lot of writefagging this week.
Juan Powell
Strikes me as people winding down on snowflakery again. It happened last time, after all.
Joshua Mitchell
Katin a cute.
You can't hide that little cleavage from me, gurl. Wanna hang out? Have lesbian times?
Blake Edwards
Your flake planeswalks into the last thing you read/watched/played. What happens?
Lucas Baker
World of Warcraft would have a planeswalker amongst the masses. She'd watch and study them. Act cool and casual. Until another apocalypse happened and she'd quietly end the threat.
Isaiah Clark
The Cathar finds himself in the CW-verse and HIVE has a terrible time of it.
Noah Martinez
C'mon, gurl. Don't be a tease. Let's go get coffee and talk about our lives. It'll be fun.
Ryder Howard
>pls go and stay go gaia
Sebastian Watson
>gurl >lesbian
Brandon White
But bb don't be like that. I wanna paint toenails and tell secrets.
Jack Wright
ANGERFISH IN JOJOLAND ANGERFISH IN JOJOLAND only the best/worst can come of this
Kayden Walker
>Implying I would do that.
Charles Taylor
Bitch, I make ya do it.
>in all seriousness tho, I'm so fucking bored. Just let me know when you want me to stop trolling.
Blake Campbell
I thought gaea was sleeping inside a planet. Why is she running around with a bow? Isn't it past her bedtime?
Nolan Rivera
Isn't it past YOUR bedtime?
William Diaz
>Gaea woke up >decides to slut it up across the multiverse
Joseph Reyes
Welp, when you've got nothing else better to do...
Landon Turner
I don't get it.
Daniel Robinson
Katin is genderless
Evan Torres
>when you've got nothing else better to do >do everything
Lincoln Torres
That was kind of the joke.
Lincoln Price
Genderless you say?
I can work with that...
Mason Roberts
>Will finds Gaea >Is overjoyed >She's too busy fucking everything that moves and doing enough drugs to make Rakdos cultists to be like "bro, chill."
Jason Edwards
Don't you die on me, flake thread pls.
Brody Bell
Geez I was freaked out when there was no thread.
Christian Murphy
I forgot to put the title in, sorry bout that. Anyway some minor writefagging >Will uses insanely complex ritual to break the seal on Gaea's plane and goes to her, only to find her dying. >To save his love, Will gives his spark and effectively his life as the plane starts collapsing around them. >As he's pulled into the blind eternities, he begs Gaea to go to the graves of their children and let them know that he found her like he said he would. >Gaea fucks off and has bisexual adventures throughout the multiverse.
Jose Reed
I just got done doing some Minecraft.
Man, Cala would go nuts.. And then also accidentally set a forest fire.
William Morris
I imagine being freed by him would be such a terrifying experience
Gavin Wilson
Myrina, in The Last of Us. Talk about fucking culture clash
Jackson Gonzalez
Has Katin gotten any writefagging yet?
Daniel Anderson
Fucking write it, friendo.
She could, if you catch my drift...
Eli King
Does she have an actual personality? I honestly haven't paid attention to her this whole time.
Wyatt Richardson
>"My love, at last I have found you. Please forgive me, I did not know. Take my life and live on." >"I beg you, just do one thing for me, for the love we once shared. Go, find our childrens' graves. Tell them I kept my promise. Tell them I finally brought mommy home." >The plane collapses and he sinks into the blind eternities. >>"Pshhhh, yeah nah, fuck that. Our kids are bone dust. Mortal plebs. Time to score some hookers and blow. Fucking later, m8."
Gavin Lee
Who? Gaia?
Nathan Nguyen
>She tells him that before he is consumed by the eternities, so his last memory is her telling him to fuck off.
Carson Mitchell
These are fucking hilarious. Give me more.
Blake Taylor
Updating the snowstorm and holy shit, about half of the past twenty, thirty snowflakes that have been made are utterly awful. I've done the formatting but I think I'll need a stiff drink before I dare to summarize some of these characters.
Blake Gonzalez
We still love you, user. Have another drink for us.
I have but one question for you: Was Spider Mom awful?
Ryan Reed
Oh yeah It's sorta like being saved by hesei gamera, you don't so much fight side by side against your common foe as you watch a large scary aquatic monster maul the everloving fuck out of your would-be captors. Contrary to the blue in him, he's not much for subtlety in his actions. That said, he's always willing to give the power to free yourself, if you are willing to bear the burden of the change that comes with it.
On an aside note, I'm really hoping for more mono-red half-red horrors in Eldritch Moon, the one wolf just doesn't work at all, and the ravnican red/black ones just don't fit the theme quite.
Jack Barnes
which ones are the worst offenders?
Levi Barnes
My apologies if mine counts among them, I've never been that great at character design, you can tell me though, I have thick skin. As I mentioned in the previous thread I'd be willing to do some writefagging if anyone has some ideas, with the exception of Dark Heresy on Saturday I'm free for writing for the next few days. If you'd like I could post some stuff I wrote for my flake in the meantime, I won't claim to be a great writer but I think it's readable at least.
The friend who drew her for me likes to draw women a specific way, but I think a massively stacked angel works well enough for a running joke if nothing else.
Carson Wood
Yeah.....maaaaybe you should get some new art. I can't take her seriously. She looks like a balloon.
Nolan Johnson
Heh, I know what you mean, the wings look nice though. I'd get some more but I'm broke atm.
Josiah Campbell
If I have time, I'll draw her better art tonight. And I'll do it for free, because I'm not an asshole who charges money for cheap art. But that's only if I have time.
Christopher Torres
>A fallen god of Theros, who is apparently the daughter of the true white and black of gods of Theros that were usurped by Erebos and Heliod. >The sole queen of Llanowar, who has reigned for hundreds of years apparently. >A cat that somehow was able to ignite for reasons we aren't told and we're somehow expected to just accept that. >A time-traveling edgelord that goes from one point in time to another, killing random time mages that he encounters.
Those would be the worst. There's plenty more that I have issue with in terms of lore accuracy but those are the ones that just blatantly disregard established canon without a care in the world.
Eli Smith
Oh, and here's a picture of my work for reference. My camera phone is terrible, but you get the idea. This is an old d&d character of mine.
Ethan Gonzalez
You're a saint. If there's anything I can offer you in return let me know, don't sweat it if you don't have time though.
I do actually have another picture of her that someone else commissioned(I was surprised to be honest), can't post it here though as it's NSFW.
That's magnificent, reminds me of the person who always used to do my references for tabletop games before work crushed him. Pic related.
Justin Allen
Who are your favorites, updater?
Thomas Torres
Unfortunately, I'm not as good on a tablet as I am with traditional mediums. So the art will not be as good as the previous or pic related. But ot should have better linework than what exists at least.
Levi White
Free art is free art, frankly I'd be embarrassed to commission an artist using that as reference and ask for them to make her look like a normal person, so I could sorely use this charity. I have no objection to well-endowed girls in fantasy, especially given some of the figures on the canon angels but there's a point where it crosses into the obscene. It wasn't as bad in the sketch he gave me before hand though.
Tyler Edwards
I can work with it.
Pic related is a reference for what quality you can expect from a quick tablet sketch.
Nicholas Martinez
There is no favourite, all snowflakes are shit.
Aaron Kelly
Higher quality than art I've actually paid money for in the past, if you have the time I'm sure I'll be more than happy with what your produce.
You are a thorough man, OP, I tip my hat to you. I would not have nearly the kind of patience to keep track of every flake that falls.
Of course, since they're both in the repository I need to decide if I'm going to highlander this shit or find some way to merge them. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.
Liam Sanders
BITCHES FOR DIOMEDES
Dylan Harris
But I really like this angel. She is hot and cool.
Not sure why you are so butthurt about that. She has wide hips, thick thighs, thin waist, large breasts and skimpy clothes. I find those qualities attractive.
But I guess you are not allowed to like anything or something.
Angel Taylor
Not that user but I personally find it's exaggerated to the point of being disproportionate.
Luis Cruz
I dont agree. I have seen much more offensively exaggarated designs. I have a feeling that people who only see realistic western art have such low tolerance for stuff like this.
Benjamin Ward
I'm sorry I'm not attracted to women with anime faces, breasts larger than their heads, and hips as wide as a horse. She is a caricature of femininity. Also, not the same as but I do agree with his assessment.
Jonathan Kelly
Damn straight. Because I'm attracted to real women more than anime.
Lucas Sullivan
The only instances of 'offensive exaggeration' that I have seen that are more disproportionate than that fall into the domain of inflation/macro/bimbo porn.
John Collins
>implying there is anything wrong with anime
Ethan Wilson
user, that falls out of the range of anime. That's into fetish territory. I'm sorry, but you have a balloon/inflation fetish. Accept it.
And that also falls into the range of a shitily drawn anime face. Nothing inherently wrong with anime, but there is a LOT of bad anime.
Julian Lee
Yeah it's pretty bad, like I said I'd love to get more reasonable stuff for her but I'm broke, hopefully that user delivers.
Each to their own tastes though, people don't really choose their fetishes, I'm fairly indifferent because I don't find women attractive anyway, a friend offered to draw me something so I accepted.
Brayden Cooper
Rolled 109 (1d119)
Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been super active lately
My roommate dropped his moving out in three days on me, so I've been trying to plan out what's going on from here and where I'm gonna crash and where all my stuff is gonna go when I leave Toronto.
the last walker I got was complete shit for card design, so I'm gonna reroll and see who the next card goes to.
Dominic Reed
I wouldn't say it's the worst I've seen. It's just obviously stylized in a disproportionate, overly curvaceous way. It's definitely not my style but I can see why other people find it attractive.
If you're going for a graceful, altruistic protector, I wouldn't go with that image. If you're aiming for the avatar of some sort of fertility or harvest goddess, it's a little more suitable. Maybe she would have a place in Sigarda's flight?
Kevin Walker
I made a joke about that when I was writing her full backstory, her figure would be more fitted to the Flight of Herons. Honestly she could probably fit much better there but it's my personal bias against Sigarda that stops me from really wanting to do that. I'd describe her role as healing and protecting which seems to be the domain of Goldnight based on a few of their cards such as Goldnight Reedemer
Grayson Lee
So of the powerpuff girls, which do you like?
Nicholas Clark
>Gaia starts hitting on Diomedes >For the first time in his life, Diomedes feels very uncomfortable
Jayden Foster
I like Gisela a fair amount, both ascetically and from what little lore their is about her. Bruna is pretty cool but she's the least documented so there's not much to say. I find Sigarda to be kind of boring, her card was definitely the least interesting and her role in the SOI story seems to be non-existent despite it her being somehow immune to the madness.
I don't dislike any of them but I do find Sigarda to be horribly bland.
James Thompson
# >No, look to Loran's smile for why you are wrong. It is sleepy time for this bugalug
Why do people use Loran's Smile as a basis for summoning legendary creatures?
Feldon wasn't a planeswalker. Basic creatures have a hard time summoning. That's why it's always creature tokens. While Planeswalker cards can actually fetch creature cards.
So, don't compare a non-walker's struggle to make a clone of his dead wife as the basis of a walker "needing to know a creature and have a bond with them" just to summon a duplicate.
At this point, I think someone is just trolling just to get people to argue with them.
Leo King
I like how she's not mentioned at all after that UR article. Gisela is my favorite, too.
However, Avacyn is obviously my favorite angel in all of Innistrad. Is there really any other choice?
Christian Campbell
>SUGAR >SPICE >AND OH MY GOD THOSE THIGHS >THESE ARE THE INGREDIENTS CREATIVE USED TO CREATE THE POWERPUFF ANGELS
John Foster
Isobel is that choice
Hudson Turner
She's a close second. But Avacyn is pure and >dem thighs
She is literally formed like a goddess. She is as righteous as 1000 suns, yet as gentle as a midnight moon.
Nathaniel Rogers
Why did she have to die, anons?
Julian Butler
You don't memorize everything about the person to make a normal summon, but summoning a legend requires those extra details. Someone knows about Loran and summons her, she'll be the artificer and maybe willing to hit someone in the face. Someone with intimate knowledge of Loran, or her personality, and her smile, and everything that made her her would summon a creature based on those memories and the power that it took sustain the creature means that you couldn't sustain two of the same at the same time.
Hudson Ortiz
Because she saw Sorin for what he really was. a leech.
Nathaniel Bailey
That's not what a legendary is. Nor is it any more difficult than a non-legendary creature. You don't have to have some kind of bond with them.
Look, we've been through this before.
Non-legendary: You summon a random Elf Ranger. A 1/1 Elf Ranger named Jim appears.
Legendary: You summon Jim, the 1/1 Elf Ranger.
Legendary creatures aren't more difficult to summon. They are just a specific creature of a given type rather than a generic random creature of a given type.
Legendary doesn't make the creature more powerful. It makes it a specific individual. All creatures are legendary.
Lincoln Thompson
Don't make me cry. Her death was too sad. Will I ever be over it?
Austin Morgan
Don't worry, Vronak will bring her back.
Juan Mitchell
One thing's for sure though, the best form of summoning is Reanimation, the art of summoning your summons from the ground.
I read about it in a book.
Adam Martin
Now you're just making me angry. That fucking necromancer better not lay a hand on the Lady.
John Rodriguez
What book was that? Then why the hell does the legend rule exist if summoning a legend is the exact same as summoning a non legend?
Isaac Rivera
Apparently Des is typing up a snowstorm story that will have Vronak as one of the baddies. So, you'll probably see both Avacyn and Akroma in the writefagging.
Xavier Bennett
I'm going to give that a hot 'no'
Colton Bennett
It was in the book.
Read the books. Vronak isn't a simple necromancer, he is an honourable Reanimator!
Evan Diaz
Why does the term "token" exist?
There are mechanics that are to balance the game that aren't in the lore.
In the lore, there are no legendary creatures. There are no tokens. There are no poison counters. Planeswalkers don't tap lands for mana. Artifacts aren't cast. Spells aren't drawn. Spells don't have "casting costs". There is no first strike/double strike rule. There is no legend rule. There is no "planeswalker rule". And so forth. None of this exists in lore.
Zachary Bennett
You're utterly wrong.
Mechanics like Reanimation, the art of summoning summons from the ground, are cemented in the books and summoning costs are definitely a thing. Planeswalkers mainly do battle through summoning summons and having their summons do battle with the summons of their rival planeswalker, which they summon by conjuring the correct proportions of the different colors of mana that exist in the setting. Everything is a combination of mana and it's totally possible for Gideon to summon say, Avacyn by figuring out the combination of white manas she's made out of and turning her into one of his summons.
This is canon. Read the books.
Xavier Torres
I know not what books you refer to. The only book that I know that goes into the different forms of summoning is The Eternal Ice.
But, like I said before, Des is typing up a story and we can see how she envisions them being summoned by Vronak.
Here's a writefaggery that has nothing to do with any of the flakes because reasons.
Also, using a name in this thread because also reasons.
Andrew Perry
Tokens are an afterthought Poison counters represent how long until you have to fuck off or die by being poisoned. Lands is the mana bonds you form and tapping them is drawing the mana you can from those bonds. Charging magical artifacts so they can do their things remembering the right spell at the right time, which is why mill and discard are often flavored as driving your opponent mad yes they do, they take more energy you're able to hit first if you go fast enough Yes there is, read the books You are calling an actual person up to use magic based on the time you met them, so you can't really get them twice you silly goose it does exist in lore it's not my fault that you're autistic and your cat flake is shit apologies if you are not salem-user No, you read the book to me, I'm illiterate.
Jackson Foster
Salem-user is Vronak-user is Astarte-user is Cromat-user.
Jayden Butler
I'm pretty sure poison counters represents the glistening oil taking affect and changing you into a Phyrexian.
