How do you handle sexual encounters?

How do you handle sexual encounters?

Sometimes it's required for things like Nymph's and Succubi, so I'm wondering, how do you handle things along those lines?

Fade to black unless it's funny (and everyone or almost everyone at the table is on board with it).

Anything else goes into "that guy" magical realm territory.

I let the PC go to a private place and establish when the sexual acts/foreplay starts and ends.
I don't let them RP it because the rest of the party doesn't want to watch some cunt pop a chubby while he's essentially writing erotic fanfiction for his own character.
If they need to do something important during, like kill their lover or escape I'll allow that if they say so.

I'll let them have fun with it afterwards though. Like they can specify they leave the room with messy hair or something

For this one player who kept trying to get erotic shit into the game, I eventually let him go through with it, and went into deep, graphic detail during the RP session.

Everyone was laughing and he was being red-faced quiet as fuck. I had him roll a fortitude save and it ended.

A day later, I told him, "you feel an intense itching sensation on your groin."

Yea, he permanently never wanted to do sex stuff after that again.

You god damn genius, here is your sensible chuckle sir

Roll CON, fade to black.

Have them roll perception beforehand.
If they fail they don't see the dick

I don't use Nymphs or succubi.

How chivalrous.
It'd be in poor taste to take advantage.

>I don't use Nymphs or succubi.
>It'd be in poor taste to take advantage [of literal semen demons]

It was a joke.
You need to be more careful when you use those fedora pictures or I'll take away your shitposting license

Like this.

Here you go. You're welcome.

It actually has some good advice on how to handle such scenarios.

>not letting him roll Fort to resist disease
Shit GM alert.

>nymphs
They are pure and wouldn't have sex with some smelly adventurers, you pleb
>succubi
Simple. The PC who taps that dies

Did you read the post? He did have the player roll Fort.

That's diabolical.
I like it.

My group is all about the silly and wacky stuff and I love them for it. So there's only two things that would happen. Either it's finished in a sentence and a roll of a dice:
>Okay so you fuck a prostitute and she takes (level)d4 nonlethal damage.
Or everyone starts giggling and adding on a extra detail or two to make a memorable and hilarious scene, since we've known each other for years.

Fade to black and move along to the mechanical results/consequences for my IRL group. Online group would either play it out in a private channel or right there in front of the rest of the weirdos, depending on how they feel (especially involving time constraints).

>not wanting to learn proper reading comprehension
Shit student alert.

They're retro I'm bringing them back!

The Knot Binder of Kaladis does not do what I initially expected.

Make everyone involved act out the entire encounter, including removing clothing and orgasms. But then my group has a female, a redhead trap and an Asian trap, so maybe this wouldn't work for everyone.

>required for... Succubi
Confirmed for shit. Only the worst succubi have to resort to sex to manipulate people.

"...and then Sir Fuxalot lay with the nymph. Roll to see if she tries to drown you afterwards."

If anything it's in poor taste for the supernatural entities with their mind-altering magics and whatnot to be taking advantage of the mere mortals.

If it's a nymph or succubi, they probably die. Just seeing a nymph naked is save or die, as if a succubus's kiss.

Fade to white. Anything else would just be enabling fat neckbeards and underaged memers.

Fade to black.

Alternatively, use the Red Rule, since it's Exalted.

I think you are confusing nymphs with mermaids user..

By rolling for anal circumference

Look, here's the thing:

You do not need to get explicit with the details of each thrust, each position, or each fetish that gets involved.

But you MUST describe the cumshot.

Trust me, everyone in the group wants those details. Explicit as you can make them.

For drama and heartbreak. Sex itself doesn't matter, the reprecussions do. As the players can't actually enjoy the sex, the partner's response is important.

No one cares when Sir Chad dicks the Nymph. What counts is that the next day, the Nymph is blushing, holding on to his arm and writing soppy poetry, and tells him "Come back soon, *lover.*"

Assuming this isn't another fetish thread of some kind.

Depending on the creature they do it with, I make them roll a constitution check of varying DC. Sometimes they might have sore hips and have their speed reduced by 5 for the day.
Sometimes a wisdom or dex check (and I don't tell them what this one is for it's for properly pulling out). They might have become a parent if they're male and they fail the check.

I would put away whatever we're playing and pull out my copy of F.A.T.A.L.

What if they take contraceptives?

Well, just fuck my ass, I guess. Seems like I've got brain problems.

I usualy write detailed fanfiction about the encounter, but pass it out only to the players interested. That's a good way to create deep emotional bonds between characters or to develop an interesting aspect of them, and it help creating a pleasant experience for the players as well.

Not confused. He's just that bad a lay that she tries to kill him after.

This is the most pathetic, autistic and nerdy thing to try and turn into imaginary game maths.
Consider your life carefully, and the 'harm' that would be done by handwaving to a desirable outcome.

The dice and numbers are innocent victims of this, and you have no right to sully them with your puerile and juvenile magical realm.

I tend to avoid them really or just fade to black.

No one should want to hear that shit when surrounded by a table of their buddies

I play online, so the magical ERP realm can go in private message, while the rest of the party does something else

I wish I had sexual encounters...

Might I ask exactly how badly do you have to be to have people wanting to murder you immediately after?

Because seriously, if you're that bad at sex or that ugly, how do you even get past first base?

Graphic descriptions of the intersex rogue pegging her warrior bf with her feminine dick.

obviously it refers to the sacred bond of marriage, what else could that name mean, you don't have a dirty mind do you user?

Most of the people in this thread will tell you OP, that fading to black or making it private is the way to go. Because no one wants to hear about your fap material or magical realm when you're at the table wanting to slaughter some helpless orcs.

But then there's people like me who collect material like the following

mediafire.com/folder/5sz89lba4ecfe/Adult D&D

That should just about cover it all. Any more and we'll be needing the Kama sutra.

Do you "fade to black" when it comes to violent scenes?
Then why would you treat sexuality differently than violence?
Is this an US thing?
Because in France sexuality and violence are usually treated the same way, if you show one, it makes sense to show the other.

Go back to tumblr.

>Frenchmen go to war
>lose every time because they try to give enemy soldiers the D

If you show one, it only makes sense to show the other

>all his games involve violence.

I would argue that they usually are treated the same, 'I sleep with the elf' is no more or less graphic than 'I stab the bandit', the only time what you're saying would apply was if after every successful attack you're saying stuff like 'and you drive your sword deep into the bandits stomach as he groans in pain and shock, you see his eyes widen in panic and eventually grow dim as fresh blood begins to flow from the wound, showering you in gore as he collapses, entrails spilling out with the stench of flesh and blood filling your nostrils, onto the floor'

and if so, whats wrong with:
As you thrust your member deep inside her, her fist whims of pleasure erupt in a orgasmic scream, her fingernails leaving hot red marks on your muscular back, like the claws of the wild beast you faced out ther ein the woods to safe her....

That sounds like something a nymph would say right before she pulled an unsuspecting young man into her pool and drowned him.

What are you talking about? Succubi literally need semen in them to live.

Mainly because I don't want to pop a boner at the table. I want to play a goddamned game with my friends, not jerk off.

I actually tend to do that with death blows, if only to make it more satisfying when the party kills a tough enemy.

"You strike the orc with a horizontal slash and his head sails from his shoulders, his body falling limp a moment later as blood spurts from the wound," and then as I scribble out his name on the initiative sheet, "And he's fuckin' dead."

I've never had to describe sex, though.

>her fist whims of pleasure erupt in a orgasmic scream
Wut. Also the point was that most people don't do that.

It's not 'sex is bad' that gets people weirded out though, it's their normally same sex buddies popping a chubby under the table at what their character's up to. There's a boundary of things that get people out of immersion, one being talking as your character but the most extreme being fucking as your character.

>There's a boundary of things that get people out of immersion, one being talking as your character

Nigga wut?? I dont know what you are playing, but talkin as your character is one of he ost immersive things you can do. you have to do. You have a personality, or at least should have and that is more than "role for diplomacy" .. anyway its a great way to learn to talk to people (if you are this kind of guy).

Which brings me to my second point.
What i did was an extreme. and surly its not so impoprtant to describe it for every barmaid you fuck, but the NPCs are people too, they have a persnality, and that also includes sexual prefences. You do no have to describe every thrut in detail but smething like "as you try ther to mount you, you get the impression that sh does not like that" or "you learn realy fast that she likes to gives oders and keep the strings in her hand" something like this...
Like i said, an important NPC should be flesehd out in every way, even this one one or two sentences.

Of course if he/she is only flesehd out in sexual ways you have just another fucktoy that no one i appreciating and this comes into account.

In one Sentence: Sexuality and Prefences are one of the mos natural things and should be treated properly.

damn my keypad sucks... haveto get a new one... apologies...

>Nigga wut?? I dont know what you are playing, but talkin as your character is one of he ost immersive things you can do. you have to do. You have a personality, or at least should have and that is more than "role for diplomacy" .. anyway its a great way to learn to talk to people (if you are this kind of guy).

As in, for new people. Not saying it's an issue for moi, or that it should be an issue for most, but just giving it as an example that everyone has something that weirds them the fuck out in games, whether it's something minor or major.

To continue, there's just no reason for shoving sex into everything (pun intended), and it's certainly not worth bothering half the table by going on about how Tabitha the barmaid just looooves doggy style. Sure, sex is natural, but what relevance does that have? Violence is natural, but people are still probably gonna get weirded out if you described the final death-rattles and tearful beggings of every enemy who gets killed.

In short, if it works for your group sure, but in most groups at least one person will be more than a bit creeped by the thought you put into how the PCs have sex. It's not that there's any universal reason to keep sex out of games, more that there's absolutely no reason to do so, and odds are people won't like it.

Like i said, in a meausure. For people who really get involved with the NPC. With conversations on a meaningfull level.
That being said, i wouldn't escrib the death of every ennemy, but the major plot-enemy deserves more than "aaaaaand you kill him" ..

Maybe I'm taking this a bit to seriously but for NPCs you should also describe other minor thing as well. Not just the sex. The way they are fighiting, elegant, brutish, such things. I think of these things as a tool to make someone remerable. And in a perfct word the NPC gets remembered for more than one or two things.. there re some that i from my playing days still remember and sometimes i even get a little sad thinkin about their fate, because thats what immersion is all about.

On a side note. I usually make the romance part of my campaign in a one-player session, if te player is ok with that.

>Hylas and the Nymphs
>drowned
Wait a minute, didn't that guy live happily ever after with a bunch of nymph waifus?

>Sexuality and Prefences are one of the mos natural things and should be treated properly.
I'm not against all references to sexuality in an RPG, but 'it's natural' is kind of a low bar to set for what you'll allow in your games.

How much game time would you allow me to devote to my character's lacklustre diet, uncomfortable bowel movements and the treatment of his resulting anal fissures?

Although you're taking this a bit too far. Let'r rephrase that.
Sexuality is one of the most natural things and also - thats why its part of the gaming - one of th most fun things in life.

Better?

We LARP those bits.

So everytime anyone fucks an NPC, you bend over the DM?

Sounds hot.

Sure, it's fun in reality. That doesn't mean it's fun in a game.

I still don't think it's sensible to go out of your way to avoid all references to sexuality in an RPG, but the arguments you're presenting are pretty weak.

I have the feeling that a lot of people are not comfortable with this because they are not comfortable with this in reality, whih is very sad.
I personally know someone like this, and thats fine, ut as a DM you know who can go with this and who dont. Its not a rule fr everyone, if that's what you guys though i was implying.

so basically you use gaming as an excuse to get buttfucked? Nice one..

Dry humping in elaborate but unwieldy costumes while loudly announcing your actions and their intended effect?

He was never seen again, which means either drowned or what you said, dependent on your optimism and smile levels.

>How do you handle sexual encounters?
I use the grappling rules.

You heartless monster.

This. The one time it ever happened it was at an inn that the halfling barbarian stayed in with a male elvish prostitute.
He rolled percentage for performance.
That's about as involved as it got.

This is the only acceptable and non-autistic response.

There's too high a chance that someone will just handle it badly. Sure, if you have a group of people who are mature and do it for roleplay reasons instead of just because they're horny, go ahead. Or maybe everyone's horny and wants to do it, as long as everyone is onboard. You really need to know your group first and it's easier to just "censor" it to avoid the likely chance that it will be a cringefest.

I fade to black, with a few shots of the details of importance.

I give the player in question an expert handjob under the table while the regular game continues.

Face to black and ask for "appropriate" skill rolls. In a Black Crusade game I was in, (from which I shamelessly ripped the practice), the GM would call out a string of rolls from the player(s) involved - "weapons skill", "agility", "endurance", "ballistics skill", as a standard example. We'd get a chuckle from some of the implications - "Why am I rolling "Forbidden Lore - Warp"?"

"And then they had sex. The End."

As long as you don't go into detail, it can't get too creepy. Let the player imagine it if they want to.

most of the time I don't

It's like when the warrior says he takes out his penis in combat

just go to someone else's turn

I completely utilize every page of the book of erotic fantasy.

Two of my players walked into a tavern and flirted with a couple of locals.

I told them that they got laid and continue on with the events of the following day.

There's no need to play out the sex, just acknowledge it.

The answer:

"Alright, roll diplomacy."
"Roll an untrained Perform."
"Roll Use Rope."
"Roll Bluff."
"Roll Know (Religion)."
"Roll Concentration."
"Roll Swim."
Continue until group is dying.

>It's like when the warrior says he takes out his penis in combat
Does... does this happen often for you?

I play online with perverts, so basically switch to ERP mode.

You know how sometimes the party will split up and two characters will be doing something super important in one place and two other characters will be on solo trips doing something else important at the same time?

Imagine that, only the important thing they're all doing is cybersex.

Why are they having sex?
Just smut for smut's sake?
Or maybe it's part of some diplomatic ploy?
>I want to fuck the princess.
Roll CHA. Pass.
She escorts you to her bedchamber.
Roll to see if it was any good. Pass.
Is she a slut? Roll CON. Is she a blabber mouth? Combat time against the Kingsguard.

roll unskilled athletics
roll toughtness with a malus based on your number of failure on your athletic
you re a 3pumpchump and you lose 5 reputation level
move on sex has nothing to do in RPG,

So wait

Do you just like, openly describe inter-party sex in the middle of a session? Or do you do it privately?

You've never played monsterhearts, have you? Or Changeling the lost or eclipse phase or Exalted or a dozen other RPGs where there's plenty of reasons for sex to be in the game, right?

Not every RPG is grim and gritty D&D or high pure fantasy D&D.

Current DM expects a little bit of roleplay but she's a pervert.

Most DMs did fade to black or it wasn't a thing at all.

Experiencing sexual imagery can easily become a sexual experience, often times unvoluntarily. Sharing that experience with people who you don't usually have sex with can be uncomfortable.

The same is not true for violence. Reading violent material does not raise your adrenaline levels. Having a violent experience with someone you dont usually fight with isn't abnormal or uncomfortable for the parties involved.

How do cheese monkies not understand the difference?

>Or everyone starts giggling and adding on a extra detail or two to make a memorable and hilarious scene, since we've known each other for years

the benefit of gaming with adults

of course, not being American means my group isn't afraid of the human body and will happily joke about sex rather than try and censor "ungodly" material

one of the advantages of living in an enlightened country that doesn't base its morals on an imaginary friends feelings

I have played with 10-ish GMs in my time and I have never seen it handled any other way than that level of detail.

Simply Marvelous.

I pass around X Cards at the table

If mature content - sex, violence or even just triggering themes - come up and a player isn't happy, they show the X Card and we break the mood, chill out and a boundary is set.

If anyone crosses that boundary, or doesn't respect it, then they are no longer welcome. It's time we stood up to toxic behaviour and said #NOTATMYTABLE

you do know that you should make whatever you are comfortable with as a GM - implying that you are a reasonable human being (who is not the paragon of US morality)- and let people who do not like that go, everyone has a right to be happy but you're the host, you set the boundaries not your players.

Damn that came of harder than i wanted to make it sound...
