After being bullied one time too often, the party healer refuses to waste even a single spell on the fighter

>After being bullied one time too often, the party healer refuses to waste even a single spell on the fighter

>heal slut meme
This is bad.
>protagonist trapped in a MMO
This is the worst.

>the party healer breaks the fighter's fucking legs after being bullied and walks away

Is this like, an episode of Log Horizon I missed or something? What is this?

>healer
>spell
You mean alchemist and potions, or back-alley doc and tinctures, right?
There is no such thing as magic, after all.

Netoge no Yome
4 highschoolers play a MMORPG together and it turns out three of them are highschool girls. Harem? God no, because one of them is not only a normie-hating yandere girl, but she's also the MC's in-game wife.

Adventures ensues, both in and out of the game.

Better to heal them wrong

>losing xp
>after death
Shit game 4/10, only good for waifus

>because one of them is not only a normie-hating yandere girl
She's basicaly the female counterpart to /r9k/

>Hating on D&D

REEEE NORMIES REEEE

Isn't dnd the normie game nowadays?

I thought it was common grognard procedure to scoff and raise its nose at the sight of dnd mechanics?

We get the fighter Wand of CLW and one of those life-like texture stress relief toys.

D&D is still played by the majority of Veeky Forums's userbase.

>implying that bullying grown adults is something that exists outside the minds of safe space liberals.

>Spave liberals
>Liberals still exists a thousand years in the future
>They have space ships

Workplace bullying is a thing though.

>space liberals
>eclipse_phase.jpg
Although that's more space anarchists.

>the party fighter and party healer are the same person

>he refuses to heal himself until he stops berating himself

>Party cleric is some kawaii heal slut w-who talks in-in a s-stutter
>Everyone bullies her

Exists only in anime and the minds of anime-obsessed neckbeards who never actually play D&D.

The only characters who ever get "bullied" are the ones who routinely do stupid shit. That is not limited to any class.

>I talk about things I know nothing about!
Ignorant and arrogant, can't get a worse combination.

...

hand over the sauce and no one gets hurt!

>no one has posted the healslut cap

It's like someone said "let's take every popular anime from the last five years, ape all of them, and do nothing original with the idea".

And weebs will defend this.

>It's like someone said "let's take every popular anime from the last five years, ape all of them, and do nothing original with the idea".
I thought this is how literally every modern LN and LN adaptation is made, am I wrong?

That's the right thing to do.

Along with cutting him open for science!

I have a shitload of experience with piss bottles, and let me tell you, it's pretty fucking hard to mistake them for anything worth drinking.

>local necromancer replaces cleric who quit

It was already given: Netoge no Yome.

It's not actually a piss bottle, it's tea. She's joking.

You're not wrong. And despite knowing it's shit, I actively enjoy this show. It's one of my favorites this season.

>Implying I need healing spells.
I'm not weak. I'm also not a tank seeing how our party has a paladin, two fighters (one of whom is me), two magic users, and three healers. Near TPK drove the rest of the party a bit overboard with healing.

user, it's not wrong to like shit, that's called having a guilty pleasure.

And to be honest, if I accidentally took a sip from a piss bottle, I'd might as well finish the entire glass.
The worst would've already happened in that situation, no use worrying about it.

>I have a shitload of experience with piss bottles

This is the most depressing thing I've read all day and I finished To Hell and Back this morning.

I was a Stryker driver in the military.

You spend 18 hours in what amounts to a metal coffin and see what you do about having to piss.

replaces them with what?

Unded cleric, necromancer thinks the party won't notice.

>Stryker driver

This is less depressing than when I'd assumed you were just a disgusting neckbeard, but still pretty depressing. I've heard things about that vehicle in particular and none of them were good.

>Stryker
Is that the bastard child of humvee and a tank?

It's an IFV, I've never encountered one in person, tough. The last extensive dealing with the military I had was when my dad was in the Army and they were still using the M113.

There's a whole conversation involved in that statement.

Strykers aren't nearly as bad of a vehicle as most people claim they are, they just take a lot more work, and they're designed to do more specific things.

The biggest issue with Strykers is that they take a shitload to maintain, because they've got so many systems involved. Your daily PMCS for a Stryker takes 45 minutes, with the weekly and the monthly both adding another 30 each, respectively. It has five fluids to check, and a shitload of electronics to deal with.

That means that there's a lot more than can break in it, for one.

However, the biggest issue is that if you're not raised in a mechanized environment, you never really learn to take care of the vehicle. HMMVs take all of 5 minutes to PMCS, and light and airborne units can barely be bothered to take care of those, much less a vehicle that takes real work as well.

Of course, it's not just on the soldier himself, which is the second issue. Command and mechanics make for a big deal as well. If your command doesn't understand the vehicles and the shit they take(again, light and airborne command are terrible at this) then it becomes impossible to maintain them properly, because they won't give you the time to do so. Then the vehicles start falling apart, and then they hold it against the vehicles for doing so, and the whole thing just spirals into a mess. It doesn't help that Strykers can be very expensive to maintain.

Mechanics are another point where everything can fall apart. If your mechanics don't know the vehicle or don't give a shit, then things just get terrible. The contractor mechanic is the major failing point here: in garrison, our contractor wasn't good for anything but ordering parts, so dealing with the vehicles sucked. Once I got downrange and we got a good team of mechanics, however, things just got a lot better, because they could actually figure out and fix what was wrong with a vehicle.

But if you actually have the right climate with the right mentality, Strykers work fine, and they have plenty of merit as vehicles. As far as anti-IED vehicles, I think they far outclass MRAPs. Yea, they lack the sheer firepower of a Bradley, but they also carry a full squad, and they're a lot easier to maneuver. They're also a shitload easier to transport and deploy.

As far as tabletop rpgs go dnd is pretty mediocre, but it still has a huge userbase because of awareness.

While D&D isn't my favorite system by a long shot, I feel the exaggerated hate for it is unmerited. It's great for making a kitchen sink fantasy game without homebrewing a bunch of shit like you do for generic systems. And it does a good job of giving each class a distinct personality.

I would never run D&D, but I won't turn down playing it if the group is good.

...

>I feel the exaggerated hate for it is unmerited

I agree, which is why I said it's mediocre instead of going off about how it's the worst thing to happen to roleplaying like half of Veeky Forums seems to.

I wouldn't turn down a game either but when I'm gming I prefer to run other systems.

I'm of the opinion that shows like these REALLY REALLY NEED NTR. I'm not joking. At the very least, put romantic rivals.

Think about. Typical high-school battle harem, end of Book 1, heroine ends up with the rival instead. Bam, hero's lost and adrift, everything's up for grabs. Then the real story starts from there.

Or you could just, you know, not write anything around harems and waifu drama and focus on storylines that are actually interesting.

Well, exactly. But just look at the gender imbalance in most shows: One guy, lots of girls to fawn over him. Have multiple guys, and don't make the multiple guys the comic relief. Make them sexually threatening, protagonists in their own right.

Basically, you want the viewer to identify with the milquetoast male, then to kick his crutches out from under him. Make him feel unsafe and threatened, because another guy is going to nab the bitches.

>It's great for making a kitchen sink fantasy game without homebrewing a bunch of shit like you do for generic systems.

No it's not.

Pathfinder pretty much just threw everything they felt like into a blender and didn't give two shits about how it would work within the context of their setting or their rules.

There are fucking rules for augments and robots and aliens in a game that established itself as being a fantasy realm of elves, dragons, and liches.

>And it does a good job of giving each class a distinct personality.

[alignment][Race][Class] is not a personality.

I don't think you understand what I mean when I say "high school drama is not an interesting plot".

>[alignment][Race][Class] is not a personality.
Have you tried playing 5e?

No one wants to watch that.

That's exactly what I mean. It's fucking boring. But it's been said that the only two interesting things in shows are Violence and Sex, and everything is thematically linked to them.

I disagree. People watch that stuff just to figure out what happens next. A lot of classic anime is classic because every episode was a god-damn nail biter. Imagine watching Evangelion for the first time, and realizing that all bets were off and everyone could suffer and die.

That's what keeps viewers. That's how Gen Urobuchi made his career. People want to watch shows that make them upset, because they long to feel any emotion in their lives.

That will only appeal to anime fans because anime fans are able to enjoy stuff most people can't stand. No one else will watch a show about some twerp people browbeat all the time unless there's a possibility he's going to build a girlfriend, shoot up the school, or both.

>That's exactly what I mean. It's fucking boring.
And inserting more pointless love drama is not going to improve things.

It's a genre that deserves and needs to die.

Most people can't write romantic drama and even the ones who can don't try to focus the story on it because of how stupid it becomes.

Conflict is the force that pushes the story forward. When you start adding conflict to a relationship, it just becomes either predictable or just plain irritating since the only way that it can work is if everyone involved works off of assumptions and doesn't bother letting the other party explain what happened.

"Heroine finds Protagonist in comprimising position with attractive romantic rival" is not compelling, it's just a set up to another plotline where the protagonist has to prove he was telling the truth while the female becomes angry with him for something that he didn't do.

"Protagonist finds Heroine talking with an older/handsome/rich/etc. romantic rival" is irritating because, again, it only works if the protagonist doesn't bother hearing her side of the story and goes off of assumptions.

"Protagonist/Heroine is told misinformation that leads them to mistrust one another" is, you guessed it, irritating because, you guessed it, EVERYONE ASSUMES THE WORST AND DON'T EVEN BOTHER TALKING ABOUT IT!

I'm angry because it's the exact same shit you see in harem anime, romantic comedies, sub-plots that involve two characters being in love and shit and all I want to do is reach through the 4th wall and personally slap the shit outta everyone involved because they wasted episodes/chapters/scenes/etc. setting up conflict that would've been resolved in like 5 minutes if everyone didn't act like a dumbass.

Then you get into situations where, because the protagonist and the heroine are together, their entire personality traits erode until their only trait becomes "dating X."

Overall, fuck romance and fuck you for liking them.

I'm not talking about high-school drama as a genre, I just mean shows in general. To really grip the audience, you need to build things up properly, then kick them in the balls. It's why Game of Thrones had enduring popularity, because they set up what appeared to be a standard fantasy story with political intrigue, then the suffering began.

People want misery porn. More than they want anything else, they want to see good people and bad people get done dirty.

All you need to do is to let the worst possible scenario happen. Don't tease it, let it flow. Let the shit hit the fan, and let it stick.

That's retarded.

Aha, you're a edgelord, you're no different from fucks like Okada that think she can shovel out garbage as long as there's drama.

>tfw 12 seasons of middle school romance and whole plot arcs developed towards tearing them apart for no reason
>mfw they finally get together and it's revealed he has a scat fetish and she's been fucking dogs the entire time

>I'm of the opinion that shows like these REALLY REALLY NEED NTR.
I want cucks to leave. We already had the almost NTR of last episode and that's good enough for me.

>>After being bullied one time too often, the party healer refuses to waste even a single spell on the fighter
---> The party dies.

Eva was monster of the week shovelware until the last 7 episodes where Anno had a nervous breakdown and started vomiting all over the script like the huge manchild he is.

There wouldn't be conflict at all if the plot didn't require everyone to have an idiot ball strapped to their temples in order to make it work.

Even then, it just becomes more frustrating when "the worst possible scenario" happens because again, it could've all been avoided if people talked and didn't assume the worst.

It's pointless drama added in for the sake of pointless drama.

>>tfw 12 seasons of middle school romance and whole plot arcs developed towards tearing them apart for no reason
You're thinking Oh My Goddess! and the twist was actually mind control

Evangelion was remembered because of its psychological aspects and the designs of the monsters.

If you took that away, it'd just be a story about a boy with confidence issues, a loud and angry foreigner being gung ho to cover up deep mental issues, and 2deep4you edgy philosophy lessons that pretty much comes down to incest and prison.

It does exist but only in specific environments like the workplace, in military service etc.

White Album 2.

...

Game of Thrones is bad because ASoIAF was bad.

Seriously, it took me a year to read that series instead of the two-to-three months it should have if I took my time.

Mostly because all the likeable and interesting characters were either dead, suffering, set up for later sufferings, or were being fucking retarded by halfway through the third book.

But that was the part I liked. The show is unfortunately turning into a straightforward heroic narrative, which I despise.

I really want to see Dany get raped and killed.

I too wish to see Dany murdered.

But the rest of the show can go full Heroic-Narrative, with Arya being the main PC.

Goddammit, user, you are RUINING this for me.

When someone has authority over another person bullying and misery are always a possibility.

Thankfully I can always follow suit. After all if you can't beat them you can pay someone else to beat the shit out of them and cover their car with brake fluid

Honestly, I don't want that. Like in the latest episode, Sam steals Heartbane. Heartbane, his family sword! His dad should slap the shit out of him to remind him how worthless he is.

I mean, I love characters like Victarion Greyjoy and Randall Tarly.

...

While I'm not kill happy, I don't mind the fatalities in ASoIAF. People really exaggerate it. Plus the show kills a lot more people for much stupider reasons.

Most of the people who die are pretty unlikable, and the ones who are likable died because they made some colossal fuckup which SHOULD get you killed.

The only character who's been able to escape poor decisions so far is Dany, which is annoying.

Also I deleted the original post replied to because I was spoiling a great plot twist

Well, I disagree with your opinion on scumbags, but I can respect that you like things different than what I like.

Now we must duel to the death, I will await you on the ISS.

>not improving

Ruining? Or making better?

Who does this make sense?
This shouldn't make so much sense.

>The only character who's been able to escape poor decisions so far is Dany, which is annoying.

Well, her and Ramsay Bolton, but there's no doubt they're setting up for him to get fucked hard in the next few episodes.

He is going to butcher his father, then when shit hits the fan he is going to try and flee only to get run down and have his skull crushed by a horse.

Ramsay already killed Roose like three or four episodes ago. He's the new Lord of Winterfell and nobody but Jon and Sansa are trying to stop him.

Ramsey is also not a character we're meant to think is good, or honorable. He got power from cheating, lying, and killing, which is pretty common in this series.

People complain ASoIaF is grimdark because good people tend to die more than bad people. But that's only the dumb good people. The smart good people, like Arya, Sam, and Sansa are still alive. Because they don't do shit like warn the most powerful woman in the realm they're going to arrest her eventually or bail out from a marriage agreement with a notoriously shifty noble.

Really, what in the 9 circles of hell did Ned think was going to happen?

He made the mistake of thinking that Cersei would take the warning and bolt rather than take it as a threat and counterattack. Ned is a horrible judge of character, in other words.

Then why is dragon bitch still alive? She is as dumb as cheese.

True, but other characters who are cheating, lying, or killing are generally smarter about it. Ramsay is like if you let That Guy play a Chaotic Evil character and then never punished him for it.

Even Joffrey, who was probably morally the worst character on the show before Ramsay came along had good PR in the form of Margery Tyrell. Ramsay doesn't even have that; he literally rapes, murders, and flays whoever he feels like and none of the other Northern houses have done anything to stand up to him.

And then when it looks like he might get his comeuppance in the form of Stannis, he *teleports 20 good men behind u* psht nothing personnel kid and crushes Stannis's entire army with no effort whatsoever.

which is why god invented butts for spanking

Well, he thought Robert was a good man at any point in his life; and he trusted Petyr, or was it Varys? I rarely watch the show and never thought that I would enjoy the books.

Basically, his concern was Joffrey, Tommen, and Myrcella were going to get caught up in the mix and Stannis would execute him. So he gave Cersei a fair chance to run before it all hit the fan, and didn't realize she was a shrewd schemer.

Ned was given a more convenient out when Littlefinger told him to throw his lot in with Renly, but honestly I won't fault him for refusing that. He could have staged a coup, handed the throne to Stannis, and spirited the twincest kids away. I doubt Stannis would have pushed him on that issue, since he sincerely respected Ned's judgement even if he didn't like him.

Ironically, he trusted Petyr because Petyr was a childhood friend of Catelyn, but didn't trust Varys because Varys was a eunuch and a foreigner.

When it turns out Petyr had it in for him all along, and Varys was actually trying to help him.

Half the world wants to fuck her, and will die if it means they get a chance.

Honestly don't know what Gurm's game with Dany is anymore. Her incompetence is almost poetic, and I can't tell if that's intentional or if the guy just dropped the ball with that character.

Ramsay I think gets away with it because he's confined to bumfuck nowhere and his daddy is the most powerful guy in that region now. The North is absolutely wrecked by this point, because the only people left are those who betrayed Robb or were totally broken by his death.

I'm still hoping Best Greyjoy shows up again and buries an axe in his face.

Petyr's entire character is "CRAWWWWWWWWWWLING IN MY SKIN" tier.

"Oh no, the woman I fell in love with when I barely had my balls dropped loves another man, obviously he is raping her, obviously obviously I must drain the Kingdoms of gold and collapse it dooming millions of people to death and also kidnap her daughter to torture and rape."

Petyr Baelish is barely the same character in the books and the show. He's shifted and changed more than any other, largely (it would appear) because they felt he would make a good villain and decided that him being complicated was silly.

Yeah, it was really cathartic when Sansa finally told Petyr off and threatened to have him killed if he ever spoke to her again.

Funny enough, I hated Varys when he was first introduced because he seemed like a complete slimeball just like Littlefinger, but as the show's gone on he's probably become one of my favorite characters. It's really rare to see a spymaster-type character played so sympathetically.

See Show Petyr is a massive departure from the books, especially in what he did with Sansa. Book Petyr would never have dropped her on Ramsay's doorstep.

That rape scene did happen in the books though, but it was servant girl whom Stannis told Ramsay was Arya.

Varys' biggest hang up in his entire "Good for the Kingdom" routine is that he believed the Dragonblood to actually be necessary.

Without that little asinine rule of his he could have done so much.

Because it's "A Song of Ice and Fire". It's White Walkers vs Dragons, and a bunch of people in between faffing about until Martin's doctor gives him an expected time of departure. Unless the CPS comes and takes the dragons away, she's the most important human in the setting.
