>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
It's much easier to understand who the other person is if you see how he behaves in character and in the game. It's nice to be not-blind.

No, you aren't.

that's sad

Most are, quote, "normal." Everyone has different jobs and different tastes but can gather around to enjoy a hobby together for the most part.

Oh, I change the 2nd question. I thought it asked about Veeky Forums but it asked about traditional games. So its like 3-4 years ago. (Anyways, you know why kek stands there for)

2011-ish, when limiting myself to PbP gaming. Never done anything IRL.

No, and I don't see why anyone would want to

I have the idea that a lot of them are metalheads. Not that there's anything wrong with that per se.

It's a really solid mix of absolutely terrible people and Reay awesome people. I tend to meet extremes, I guess.

The saddest thing is i have to PbP

Not anymore. Only have my gf.
Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
I only go shitfaced and dressed outrageously nowadays. Booty shorts, suspenders, etc.
Yelling obnoxiously at everyone and starting parties in hallways, stairwells, wherever there's people and space.
What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
They're cool, I wish they would be my friend. Except if they're a weeb or something.

> How old are you?

> When did you start Veeky Forums?
With actual PROPER game and REAL people in REAL LIFE? I think 14 or 15, before that I had only tried online of course.
> Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
I don't think so. I had a good, tight group in high school and it's not the case anymore. That and "adult" schedules are shitty.
> Do you have a job?
No, but I'm studying engineering
> Do you consider yourself successful?
Only as a gamemaster.
> Do you have any close friends?
A few, and I first met them all online.
> Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
Never.
> What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Some are really autistic about them and take their hobby way too seriously. Fortunately they're a minority, though very vocal.

>How old are you
68.
>When did you start Veeky Forums
Hmm... Original AD&D came out around '74 if my memory serves, so I was 26at the time. So about 42 years now?
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
Yes. No doubt about that, what with online calculators, roll20, and of course online pirating.
>Do you have a job?
Not anymore, been retired for about three years now.
>Do you consider yourself sucessful?
I've three wonderful grandchildren and four kids. I think I've done well.
>Do you have any close friends?
Well, I've some, should you not count my family, and more than a few've passed on now. Good people.
>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
I'm afraid not, when I was younger I always played with my friends I had, even a couple coworkers, as well as my sons and daughter. Now I just don't feel like going, rather stay home or go out on walks with my dog.
>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
I think it's wonderful that there's people still doing these games and such. It's a great way to make friends, and with all the new tools out there, I feel that it's become easier to get in to traditional games nowadays.

Well, those are my two cents.

I'm 24, I've been playing TTRPGs since I was 12, but I grew up playing Warcraft with my dad and have always had a real soft spot for the lore of the RTS games, it has gotten easier to find other people interested in tg stuff but for me personally it has gotten harder, responsibilities and all that, I am a licensed nurse, as much as I ever really saw myself succeeding, yeah, I have two friends I'd do anything for, I love anime cons and attend regularly, about the same as any other group for a hobby/interest: some people are strange others are great, I try to get to know people before I judge them.

But what will I get by filling out this survey?

tell me how do you deal with the thought of death at your age?

>How old are you?

>When did you start Veeky Forums?
When medabots appears on YTV in the late nineties. I had a desire to do that. Did followed soon after.
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
I have less time now to do things, but the good days area easier.
>Do you have a job?
Yes
>Do you consider yourself successful?
Yes
>Do you have any close friends?
Yes
>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
Yes, I do regularly as a exhibitioner

Many of us are young and naive, many are old and jaded, but all of us love the game.

>How old are you?

I started playing with a few friends online less than six months ago

I discovered Veeky Forums through 1d4chan years ago, though.

>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
I'll get back to you on that.

>Do you have a job?
Not at the moment, but I start work in a few weeks.

>Do you consider yourself successful?
I suppose so. I could always do better, though.

>Do you have any close friends?
Yes

>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
No, although I wouldn't be opposed to going to one in the future.

>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Most of you guys are alright.

>How old are you?
31

>When did you start Veeky Forums?
Older brother's friend got us playing a game of Dragon Quest. Interest exploded after that. This was about..1992? 1993?

>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
Yes and no. It's been harder to play in person with friends due to time commitments of family, uni and work. It has improved though with the advent of technology. I'm now able to run and enjoy games through the internet and use all sorts of tools to help immersion.

>Do you have a job?
Of course.

>Do you consider yourself successful?
Indeed I do.

>Do you have any close friends?
Yes I do. I got them into TTRPGS during my early teens and we've been playing ever since.

>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
Nope. Cons seem to be an American thing. Even then I would avoid them. See below.

>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Cringeworthy. I love the hobby and I'm glad I can meet up every so often with my friends in person and online, create a shared story together then all leave happy. I'm glad that I've always avoided official forums and fanbases, because all the spaghetti, autism, passive-aggression and spineless social awkwardness is just plain embarrassing. People are often surprised when they find out me and my friends 'play' RPGS and we always put it forward in a good light. Then we come here and read about how bloated catpiss 'that guy' #92341 shit himself because the party decided to murder his selfish arse.

Look at yourselves.

I've lived a good life, and I've a loving family. I've never feared the thought of dying, though I've always done my best to avoid it. I feel like I'll live for a few more years, well into my seventies, but the thought of death has occurred to me more and more often every year. I accept it as a natural thing and I know it will happen some day, so I might as well accept it with a smile and keep doing my daily life until it comes for me. And if it comes for me before anyone else, I'll be happy about that, at least.

Last summer [spoilers]yes I was a summerfag [/spoilers]. I started roleplaying games aged 11.
>Do you have a job?
I'm a student, so no.
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things?
Yes, at Uni I finally found people other than family members to play with.
>Do you consider yourself successful?
Reasonably.
>Do you have any close friends?
Yes, in my drama group.
>Have you ever gone to a con?
No.
>What's your perception of people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Mixed. On one hand I know we have similiar slightly unusual interests so are going to have stuff in common to talk about. On the other hand, I know there is a slightly higher chance than for a non fa/tg/uy that they're going to be That Guy.

>How old are you?
I turn 30 in ess than a week.
>When did you start Veeky Forums?
At university first year, so 8 years ago.
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
Not really, real life commitments and other interests make it harder to find time to game.
>Do you have a job?
Yes, I'm a Science Teacher
>Do you consider yourself successful?
I'd say so. I enjoy working at my current school.
>Do you have any close friends?
Plenty.
>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
Never been to a con, i'd like to see what they're like though.
>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Considering the wildly varying people I've done Veeky Forums stuff with, I don't really have a general opinion. I've gamed with a lot of Turbo-nerds for sure, but my current group is made of A Soldier, a Cop, a couple of guys that run Marathons for shits and giggles, every one of us train regularly in some form of martial art or combat sport, and when we're not playing Veeky Forumss, we're probably sparring down at the gym. Definitely not what mainstream media would label as ebin Bapzinga DnD players.

Why do you think military guys enjoy Veeky Forums stuff so much? I don't know whether it's just me, but a weirdly high proportion of people I've met who enjoy gaming and aren't from the "normal" demographic that have an interest in gaming are military or ex military.

Surprisingly normal people do it. There are many homoerotic Harry Potter larpers too so that kinda evens the scales

I've no idea, not really asked the guy in our group, but I've heard people speculate that downtime during long deployments can get really boring, so a campaign could be a project to eat up some time.

That said, I do remember the soldier guy said that he prefers playing with Civvies, because he can rest easy knowing that the GM isn't going to step on an IED.

* Successful? Not really.
* Close friends: two.
* Cons? I did a couple. I don't feel like it nowadays.
* You need to meet either people very new or very old to the hobby, otherwise you get a smattering of cool dudes between lots of crappy people. Also, people spend too much money on TGs. I know I do, but I plan to spend way less in the immediate future.

>When did you start Veeky Forums?
Tough question. I've been playing mtg for 4 years, but only came to Veeky Forums this calendar year. I read 40k when I was 12-16.
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
Heck yes, basically all my income goes to mtg. I have a good collection built up, a snazzy commander deck capable of shitting on most people's 3k monstrosity, AND my family is very supportive.
>Do you have a job?
I have two, I work as a tutor and a pressure washer. Pays the bills.
>Do you consider yourself successful?
Relatively, yes. I have a double major liberal arts degree, and recently graduated from a post-grad emergency management/business continuity program with a 3.737 GPA.
>Do you have any close friends?
Not counting my girlfriend, just one.
>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
Yes I've gone, I usually go to Rue Morgue when I can. I love cons, even though I have crippling anxiety in social situations.
>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Ultra-bros. I've been on this website for 9 years and Veeky Forums is my favorite board, followed closely by /m/.

>When did you start Veeky Forums?
I played magic in alpha as a kid with my brother, I played 40K as a preteen until the neck beards and cost turned me off (that and the necrons), played a lot of CCG vidya for a while, picked up magic again in college when my friends played (mostly Lorwyn/Shadowmoor) and gave up when Mythic was introduced, and I started RPGs just after college so about 7 years ago and it's the only Veeky Forums that I do now.

I have an online group of friends I have played with for 3-4 years now that are probably my closest friends outside my wife, but I'm a hardcore introvert anyways

Not to the degree I wish I could be.

Yes. But not a RPG-centric one, yet.

Generally neutral/positive unless they prove otherwise.

Bulgaria. I think we even have an TTRPG of our own, Endival or something.
But I've never met somebody whos into these things after high school, and back then I wasnt interested in them.

>When did you start Veeky Forums?
Back in the good days in primary school when I was doing all sorts of board games and playing Pokemon TCG with mates in the school
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
I only got reinvested in Veeky Forums fairly recently. I had bought a shitload of second-hand MtG cards but I sold most of them. It's only upon frequenting a Roleplaying club in my city of birth and another one in a city near my former internship stay that I got back into board games.
>Do you have a job?
Still studying.
>Do you consider yourself successful?
Hell no. I don't even know what I'm going to do after I leave Japan.
>Do you have any close friends?
Of course, and they are Veeky Forums and some know lots of stuff about this. A guy is even creating his own RP universe.
>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
Yeah, I did some RP a few years ago at a Japan con. Was fun, even though some of the people around the table weren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
They are nice, though somewhat hard to approach. My DM is classy as FUCK, as a HUGE overall knowledge about EVERYTHING and is quite fun (seriously, I don't know how this guy remains single, he's pretty much the perfect guy), my friends are kinda otaku/nerd guys and we're having lots of fun together, always laughing 'round a good game with some beers in hand.

I'm quite "new" but I love Veeky Forums to death and I'll gladly give up on a lot of things to be able to keep playing with my mates even when we cannot see each other. There's quite a sense of "family", it's so fucking comfy.

i was going to post some links but the spamfilter is outrageously fucking retarded shit.
Aniplay 2016
ANIVENTURE 2016

why don't you have any friends?

Thanx user but those look like anime conventions.
Do people play ttrpgs at anime conventions? I have no idea.

Don't go out enough to get any. It's not like I put people off, I had plenty of friends in school and some in college, but I just don't go out. Never drink either which probably doesn't help.

maybe, the few anime conventions i've been at, people have play card games and i'm sure if you don't find anybody playing, you'll find friends that play tabletop games when they're not anim'ing

here, I did some TTRPG at a Japan Con a few years ago with unknown guys. You can find a lot of things at Anime/Japan Con, and TTRPGfags aren't rare at all there.

that face looks like he's having an orgasm.
do you play video games?

Allright, I'll give it a shot.
Thanks anons.

>How old are you?

>When did you start Veeky Forums?
1986. My uncle worked for TSR, and we had a 2-week Xmas break up near him that year, so he introduced me to D&D and bought me a 2e BattleTech boxed set.

>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
Yes and no. You have to money, time, and motivation to make games work. You can *make* it work with 2 of the three. As I get older, I find that having only 1 of the 3 is increasingly the norm.

>Do you have a job?
Own my own company (theatrical fight choreographer and weapon/armor rental), but because I'm in theatre, income is HIGHLY variable. I've made

>do you play video games
Yes, it's about all I've ever done ever. It's gotten to the point where it's such an empty activity that I don't much like it anymore. Trying to ween myself off, trying other things like modelling and learning another language. Biggest problem is I'm in bumfuck nowhere. Waiting to see who will be the next overlord of the united states, might join the military after I get my college loans paid off (should be this end of this year hopefully) cause honestly I'm not going anywhere here.

That said, you should get information BEFORE going there if your sole purpose is to TTRPG. The Con in question might not hold a late-night TTRPG session like mine did so I suggest you read pamphlets beforehand and try to spot if sessions are held during the con. In my case, it was basically a 2-days non-stop convention and people were staying almost all night there for the late-night activities but I went there because it was held by my university and I'm an /a/utist so I was into it.

you're welcome pussy

>How old are you?

>When did you start Veeky Forums?

Back in highschool, I think my sophomore year. Started sitting with the "nerd" clique at lunch because I didn't really fit in anywhere else.

>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?

Its gotten more difficult really. Games always seem to happen when I am working.

>Do you have a job?

I work in the kitchen of one of my local hospitals. Its not a glamorous job but I actually really do like it.

>Do you consider yourself successful?

I'd say so. Never finished college, but I have minimal debt. Never got married but I'm accountable to no one but myself. I have no complaints.

>Do you have any close friends?

Most of my close friends have moved away, but we keep in touch over the internet so its all cool.

>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?

I actually just visited Anime Midwest in Rosemont a little more than a week ago. I've been going for the last five years or so and plan on continuing to do so.

>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?

Most people seem pretty normal, but the weird and creepy ones seem to be more weird and creepy than in any other hobby.

>Kind of a loser, but still had a social group of losers in highschool.
>Always kind of a "closet shut-in" in that I was always just as happy to be alone when I could.
>It was fine though, because going to school every day sorta forced me to have friends.
>Went to college, suddenly I was enabled to be a full-on hermit and so I did exactly that.
>Didn't make friends, didn't go out, didn't really do anything.
>Get out of college, move back home. All my old friends have stopped talking to me and I can't really connect with them anymore.
>Don't leave the house, don't meet new people (how do you even do that as an adult?), don't go anywhere.
>7 years later, I don't really have any human contact outside of my family, and will probably die like this.

I still do things occasionally, I mean I go to ComiCon every year to sell stuff, and I meet a few people a year tangentially, but I just don't make friends.

Why not fucking move?

If I hated my life and where I live as much as you do I'd spend every waking moment doing what I can to make sure tomorrow puts me closer to escaping. No reason to join the Freedomland Deathsquad, unless you're trying to commit suicide by enlistment.

Eh, I have relatives in the city (like 99% of the country) and I should really visit them more often so I'll go in any case. I see they are going to be playing Heroes of the storm and I enjoy it so it wont be a wasted trip.

I'm an adult who can do whatever I want, I don't fault people for their hobbies and I don't get butthurt if people think mine are weird. I will absolutlely judge you if you're a pathetic neckbeard though.

>How old are you?
Late 20s
>When did you start Veeky Forums?
Been playing board games and magic since I was little(started magic like 97-ish?). First pen and paper game was DnD at like 12
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
way easier- It's easier to find places and people now cause of the internet, and having a car makes it easy to travel.
>Do you have a job?
I did, but I'm a house-husband now, and write full time
>Do you consider yourself successful?
Relatively. i've been published here and there, and I'm happy and content and on track with things.
>Do you have any close friends?
Yes, a few.
>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
Yes, and yes. I like smaller cons though
>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Most of them are pretty chill, but a lot of neckbeards use it as a stand-in for their own lack of status and social ability. I always, always seem to find a person in a tg-related field that can't afford or allow themselves to be wrong or lose an argument or game because they tie their self-worth to their character or the game.

what happened to your friends?

Games: 14, first game ever 12 with my dad as DM. Board: 2 or 3 years ago.
No. I burned out less than 2 years ago and got back to it two months from now.
Student.
I guess? I'm kinda bored with my life right now, but being in Uni is supposed to be a good thing, right?
Yes. Best friend is also best player, gf is not very good but she's trying.
Veeky Forums con? Only a couple small ones. Despite the number of people who're interested in Veeky Forums hobbies here, there aren't many cons. General "nerd culture"? Yes, a lot, but not since last year because they're boring and all look and feel the same.
Like said. From personnal experience, some jerks and autismo, others are often bro tier.

Oh wow, I misread start Veeky Forums. Thought it meant games and such. I've been coming on Veeky Forums for a couple years now? not sure when exactly.

So, does that mean people could eventually count on an oldfag like you in case they'd like to hold a LARPG? Are you American?

what do you sell?

>Age
early 20's

>start Veeky Forums
maybe 8. I didn't play regularly until college

>easier?
No. Jesus Christ no it only gets harder as you grow older and your fellow hobbyists remain children.

>Job?
of course. Jesus. Why is that even a question?

>Successful
on the whole I'd say no. But I'm content and relatively healthy, and I have regular social interaction so by Veeky Forums standards that can be read as a "yes"

>close friends
You bet your ass I do. More than most people I'd be willing to bet.

>gone to a con?
Yes.

>Do it again?
Hell no. It's a money trap full of autists and SJW panels

>perception of others that do Veeky Forums
Don't really have one desu. I know some pretty normal, well adjusted, even handsome and successful guys who played on occasion. I know a lot of old farts who used to play in college and are now normal people with families and a set of balls to their name. I know full-tilt sperg artists (my group mostly) who I'm embarrassed to be so much as seen in public with.

Art usually, prints and commissions.

I'm 19. I started playing D&D and lurking Veeky Forums in freshman year of high school and I think I started posting the year after.
It's gotten a little easier I suppose, but I was never very good at scheduling anyway so it's still difficult.
Yeah, a part time one.
Not yet.
Just the one. I've played at his table as well as alongside him and he's my best friend. Hanging out with him always makes me feel better. If it weren't for

It's kind of distressing how many people in my area's Veeky Forums community have unstable or unconventional family situations: lots have issues with their parents or come from divorced homes. Makes me grateful for my own upbringing, although simultaneously I have to wonder how I wound up running with such a crowd. Like, is there something I'm forgetting about myself? I don't really know.

you were correct in your initial assumption

Group of people I've played with for over a decade.

When they had problems or shit happening in their lives, I made sure they stayed in our gaming group so they had somewhere to come where they could feel welcome and could have fun and let their RL stress go for a bit. And when other group members would get upset at them for letting RL stress influence the table, I stood up for them and made sure they could keep coming until they worked through it. I made sure people had a place where they could work through divorces, school problems, job losses...all that adult shit that takes its toll on your sanity.

When *I* had a bad year (multiple major injuries, financial and kid-related martial problems at home, finding out some really serious personal shit that my parents hid from me, and almost losing our house entirely), with no warning that this was coming, they told me that I was too depressing to have at the game table, and to leave and not contact (most) of them again, please.

I'm still friends with ONE of those guys (who's also on my ice hockey team and went out of his way to try and make what amends he could). I haven't shared a word with the rest since.

Hence, "I thought I did."

What does that mean?

Play by Post, I assume. Instead of talking to each other in real-life, through a video-/voice-chat client, or IRC, you post things on a forum or via email group, and you have to wait for everyone to respond.

That's how I started playing, in online forums. It was mostly freeform (shoot me). Now that I've got a real-life group together, thinking about playing that way hurts me so much...

Feel pity for our brother.

Ooooh. Yeah, ouch.
I suppose you could say I started off in freeform roleplay in chatrooms, AIM-style, so yeah I kinda know that pain.

>How old are you?
20
>When did you start Veeky Forums?
Honestly couldn't say. I got into 40k around 12 years old, couple of years later started googling shit and stumbled into 1d4chan. Thought I'd see where all the dumb stuff came from and haven't left since.
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
I dropped out of 40k because it was costing too much and my local playerbase was terrible. I've actually finally taken part in a DnD campaign for the first time this year at uni and it's been an absolute blast, and I'll be running my own Dark Heresy game in a few months online.
>Do you have a job?
Officially and legally no, but I'm a busker which in England means you earn quite a bit of untaxed money really easily.
>Do you consider yourself successful
I suppose so, been dating my gf for almost a year, I'm doing well in uni and I've got enough money.
>Do you have any close friends?
Plenty of friends, a handful who are close.
>Have you ever gone to a con
I've never done it but I'm definitely tempted. My gf does a costuming degree and she wants to cosplay sometime.
>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Generally an all right bunch. It's such a broad amount of people that it's impossible to say anything specific. Some of you lot can be absolute pricks but that comes with every hobby.

NORMIES GO REEEEEE

>How old are you?
Soon to be 35
>When did you start Veeky Forums?
Uhm, sort of very early? I remember a friend's older friends playing AD&D and we joined in when I was ~9 or so?
>Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
I gotta say yes! There's more options and ways to get into the hobby these days.
I haven't roleplayed since the early oughts, but my old school group just started a Fantasy Grounds thing to just hang out and roll some dice (everyone lives 400 miles apart) an even though I hate that shitty client program it's pretty fun.
There's a few miniature gaming clubs in the city so if I'd ever feel the need to go back to that (I don't) I don't need to look for fringe cases with strapped budgets like one had to in the 90's.
>Do you have a job?
part-time
>Do you consider yourself successful?
Can't say that I do, otoh I've always taken good care of myself or my situation so I've a hard time classifying myself as a failure.
>Do you have any close friends?
Quite a few, many of whom are gamers of some sort as well.
>Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
There's a con in my town every year. I usually sneak in just to play boardgames with friends, I don't think anyone of us participate in tournaments or any official activity anymore.
>What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
The Veeky Forums hobby has a good diversity of people and participants, plenty of them and has only grown larger and more accessible in the last 10 years. Veeky Forums is in good hands!

Man, that sounds like a good life! Cheers!

Stunt work for film. Getting set on fire pays "per take". If you set my arm on fire 3 times (3 takes), I get $4500. If the gig is for a full-body burn, it was $4k *per take* in the relevant year I reference. IIRC, I had to do 6 takes for a full-boy and 3 takes of a limb burn for one film.

The downside of all this is twofold:
1) You're on fire.
2) As a person who had done stunts, you're considered to have a permanent, universal, pre-existing condition by the health insurance industry. Which means that you *can't* buy insurance, at any price. They simply refuse to sell it to you. It wasn't until ObamaCare came out that I had any medical coverage (aside from TriCare, as a vet) at all. So a LOT of that filthy lucre from being set on fire (or falling off buildings, or crashing cars, or writing swordfights) goes to a "hospital rainy day fund", and not to buying more gaming stuff.

Probably. I used to larp extensively (ask Hungarian LarpFag if LARPthreads ever come back to Veeky Forums from /cgl/), but the way American larps are run drives me up the wall, and I'm extremely picky about what I'd play at this point. The players it tends to attract are also usually shit - either TrigglyPuff snowflakes or Hardcore McBro sword jocks.

But yes, if something in the US started similar to Biccoline in Quebec or Drachenfest in Germany (requires good costumes, staying in-character, and good fighting while not being a complete fight dick bragging about how hard you can hit), I'd certainly give it a shot.

Thank you for sharing, I hope I'm as good as you when I'm older.

Dunno if you are serious but most people here (including me, not guy you are quoting) are actually "normies" despite doing Veeky Forums stuff. There wouldn't be many people left if "normies" did go.

That's good. I'm not American but perhaps there are people that could use your services here one day.

I guess.
Of course!
Yes.
Yes.
Bitch, I've been running them.
Fuckin' nerds.

How old are you?
22 years old.

When did you start Veeky Forums?
When I was 20.
Has it gotten easier to do Veeky Forums related things over the years?
Not any easier or harder really.

Do you have a job?
I'm a student at uni.

Do you consider yourself successful?
In some regards, yes. In others, not so much.

Do you have any close friends?
Many. And even more non-close friends.

Have you ever gone to a con, if yes would you do it again?
Yes and it depends on which.

What's your perception of other people that do Veeky Forums related things?
Dude, I don't give nearly enough of a fuck to spare a thought for you, at all.

Thats some tough line of work. Stay safe user.

It's not like I haven't thought about it. Long story short I dropped out of a college my parents pushed me into and now have like 9k debt left to pay off. I was lucky enough to fall into this job I have now considering I've only worked one other job as an IT bitch. Have some benefits at least, got a nice cheap apartment. It's not all terrible but it's not going anywhere. I have pretty much no worldly experience at all, I wouldn't even know where to go hence the military idea. That said I'm not that suicidal so I plan on shooting for the chairforce.

>tie their self-worth to their character or the game
that's like most people these days

show your stuff faggot

>fellow hobbyists remain children
elaborate

pretty shitty dragon, its wings are on its fucking neck

you take that back you shit-eater
