Oh look it's this thread again.

Look, if you want to jack off at cool girls there's

The last two games I've run were predominantly female. First was a Sword & Sorcery game, that turned into a murderhobo game, I was so proud.

A year later I ran a Mutants and Masterminds game with some of the same women. That game was really entertaining. We had some fun, and unique player characters. My favorite was a Polish Cowgirl, who mechanically was the love child of Batman and Wonder Woman.

The thing is, most of my experiences with the girls at the table were largely positive or just MEDIOCRE.
I can't really pull up any memorable ThatGuyisms or similarly powerful positive actions, either.

They roleplayed the most enthusiastically and generally tried to make helpful characters.

>I can't really pull up any memorable ThatGuyisms

I've had one. Every and each one of her characters were idealized self inserts. Actually roleplaying a character who went against her personality or core beliefs was an anathema to her.

Nah, we've had one of those for years, but it's a dude...
also a power gamer.

At a table with two girls. One is pretty alright. But based on personal experience, she's crazy. Takes any guy being nice to her as them hitting on her.
The other girl is there with her boyfriend, but she knows her shit. The issue with her though is that she takes things as personal attacks and actually has her boyfriend running defence so that we don't say anything too triggering.

But other than those complaints. They bring snacks, roleplay well and have saved my ass on more than one occasion.

Let's start out with the obvious:

Liz Lemon(and Tina Fey for that matter) would not be a This Girl, she would be a That Girl, probably the most ThatGirl that ever ThatGirled.
Also a That GM.

She also had a problem with heavily assertive or dominating NPCs, presumably due to having been heavily bullied. She fragged their NPC commissar in an Only War game during the second session. Which I ran with, due to it being probably the normal wednesday on an IG regiment.

I know three girls who would be awesome to play with. They're just not available at the same time.

We had this thread yesterday.

This thread is now about NBC show characters and how they'd act in a Veeky Forums related environment.

>What does pic related play?
>Player or GM?
>Who else from the show is in their group?

>Not wanting to play a game with the cast of 30Rock

We've got a female DM that has utterly ruined me to other DMs, she's an English Major that has managed to seamlessly incorporate all of our backstories with unique NPCs with fun little quirks.

The banter between us and the session 2 barmaid alone was better than 90% of the campaigns I've been in.

Aubrey Plaza would sandbag every game she is in, just because

Alec Baldwin? Sounds fun.

Tracy Jordan? Fuck no.

>Tracy Jordan
Fuck you, he'd be hilarious to watch.

Name your party (assuming everyone is into it)
>Tracy
>Sue
>Danny
>Lenny

>Me
>Alec Baldwin

It's an ERP game

Good Party:
GM: Abed (Community)

Players:
Annie (Community)
Kenneth (30 Rock)
Liz (30 Rock)
Andy (The office)

The Party From Hell:
GM: Michael Scott

Players:
Dwight (The Office)
Jim (The Office)
Pierce (Community)
Tracy Morgan (30 Rock)

Not him but related humor:

Tracy made the best selling video game of all time, and it was a pornographic fantasy RPG. Dude would be amazing in a D&D party.

If you wanted ERP he'd be the best DM too.

None. My D&D / Path Finder games have been female free.

I had a girl in my old WFRP campaign who was really good. She had the stereotypical "so which dice do I roll" poor grasp of the rules, but made up for it by being an excellent roleplayer and interesting addition to the party.

Tetris was a pornographic RPG?

"OH! OHH!! PUT YOUR I IN ME! OHH! OH YES! DEEPER! I'M GONNA TETRIS!"

>one of my groups was 3 girls, 3 guys; 2 of the girls were a lesbian couple, the other married to one of the guys
>One of the Ls was a good painter, ex military, had a subtle but good sense of humor and could crunch with the rest
>Other L loved baking, brought her treats to games, was more narrative heavy
>Wife was a bit reserved but could still make a good character and contribute to the game

WHile there was some relationship Drama, everyone was good at keeping it off the table.

>Jack as GM
>Sue
>Frank
>Toofer
>Lutz playing a healslut even though everyone tells him it's not that kind of game

I introduced my wife to dnd, now she plays the party barbarian. She does rip n tear quite well.

Trying to get her into Shadowrun next, but she thinks 5ed editing is a complete turn off.

I think I chose well.

I can't believe I found that funny.

How does "this Girl" differ from "this guy"? I would imagine a positive bro-tier player/GM would be positive regardless of what they have in their pants.

At least it wouldn't be magical realm, she didn't even know people could have sex while standing up

mfw i've only played with mary sues and m-m-muh genderfluid characters

Although i've gm'd for some good girl players

She'd be a fine if a bit bossy player.

She would be the worst DM possible. Hell, just look at her dungeon creation, she fucked over her players with random bad guys in nonsensical locations. Combine that with her personality... blech.

I have come into this thread for the express purpose of not keeping it civil.

I see that my work is already done.

>They roleplayed the most enthusiastically and generally tried to make helpful characters.
Helpful in what context?
Tried to make the game enjoyable for the other players, by fitting their char builds & narrative elements in a way that worked well with the other players?
Or tried to be the generic Gooddude Questcomplete that helps all the villagers with their crop rotations and rescues the bandits from the goblin princess?

stop acting like crop rotations aren't important

>Actually roleplaying a character who went against her personality or core beliefs was an anathema to her.
I wanna do this, but I don't know what my core beliefs or my personality are. How do I find out?

> The issue with her though is that she takes things as personal attacks and actually has her boyfriend
Get the boyfriend to teach her not to take things as personal attacks, fixes that issue.

>She also had a problem with heavily assertive or dominating NPCs, presumably due to having been heavily bullied.
Oh please, name a girl that HASN'T been "heavily bullied".

t-t-that T-block won't fit there senpai!
eeHHH? You're gonna SPIN IT?

Mfw I'm nitrogenfixationshaming you

I get paid to DM for a bunch of children, five days a week. The girls are all pretty cool. I even let one of them DM and she was awesome at it. Except for one girl. This girl was clearly super used to getting her way and every time she tried to break the rules and I called her out on it she would pout and exclaim "you're so MEAN!" Now, I'm a pretty lax DM; you have to be in order to run a game for 10-12 year olds. But this girl wanted to shatter the rulebook in its entirety; triple-rerolling d20s so she would get a good roll, rolling 6d6 for Magic Missile damage, that sort of shit.

The problem solved itself though; the group got tired of her shit, tied up her character one night and left her in a fairy circle. She hardened the fuck up at a friend's table and was allowed to rejoin the campaign as the BBEG's Fae-empowered #2

mfw i have no face

>I get paid to DM for a bunch of children, five days a week
Are you like a nerdy nanny or something?

One of the girls I've played with went a bit "out there" but definitely roleplayed more than most people. When a halfling child tried to pickpocket her she pretty much kidnapped him and forced him to guide us around the city. She was also a crazy druid so she slept in a stable with our wolf and the horse we rescued, and forced the kid into her cuddle puddle.

Don't forget Mike from Breaking Bad in Community. It was pretty cool how Abed let him roleplay the interrogation of the goblins with his cop experience, and pretty cool how he did it.

More like I am employed at the nerdiest after-school program and summer day camp in the US.

The program:
>LARPing
>Creating mods for LARPing
>Creating mods for Board Games
>Playtesting said mods based on a kid vote
>D&D
>D&D and LARPing are integrated into each other via setting, and participating in one rewards you with currency to use in either of them
>The currency are physical stamped brass or aluminum coins

The current girl in my party is an attention whore that barely shows up (and when she does, she is there late and falls asleep early).
I really want to kick her out of the group but some of the men apparently haven't seen a woman in years so they think it's okay.

Also she has no grasp of the rules, at all. She doesn't even want to bother reading them either

Honestly? I'd say bail the group.

Let the "I tolerate bad behaviour from women" and "I'm a woman with bad behaviour" peeps stay together, they deserve each-other.

Like, what are you gonna teach if you boot her?
Those dudes aren't gonna learn.
I'd say let them make mistakes.

They are my friends and I do enjoy playing with them, other than her it's pretty good.

...a cat folk bard named Alec bardnyan was y first concept character... wasn't allowed to play him though.

I was severely depressed. Unable to enjoy anything anymore, I contemplated suicide daily. I wanted to try to play D&D one more time- despite every session in my life having been total shit, I just had this strange idea that it could be good. My normal gaming buddies had all gotten married and were too busy to run a campaign. My wife had only played once and didn't know the rules, but she created an adventure and asked me to play it.

The only game rules she really understood were rolling high on d20 and the concept of hit points.

What she did with these two concepts was amazing. When I needed to use my sword to cut through a difficult barrier, my sword could lose hit points and break. Merchants accosted me and my coinpurse lost hitpoints. A hag tried to seduce me and I lost willpower hit points and was in danger of giving up adventuring to marry this hag.

It was a breath of fresh air. Early on, I rescued a mythological mount, a flying goat. This goat and my character were saving each other's ass throughout the adventure. As the adventure neared the end, I had a terrible choice to make. I could walk away, or I could take the risk to fly to the BBEG's fortress, but if I failed two DC rolls in a row, the strain would lame my goat so that it would never be able to fly again. And the way she told the story, I was actually moved for the plight of this fantasy goat.

The adventure ended prematurely because we got in an argument. I mentioned some technicality about the rules that I nerdily thought she'd be interested in. She thought I was criticizing her DMing and she stormed off. I just sat there in shock.

I thought about that adventure a lot over the next few years. It was unbelievably good. But because of the fight, she would never agree to make another one.

I decided to keep trying to recapture the thrill of that madcap adventure for the rest of my life. It became my reason for living. She was amazing.

It's a lovely story. I'm sorry she hasn't agreed to run for you again.

Have you considered looking for something like a goat-something she might like? (For example - if she wears brooches, it could be a goat brooch. If she collects glass figurines; etc.) Don't even wait for a special occasion to give it to her. "I was thinking the other day about that campaign you ran for me with [goat's name]. I don't know if I ever told you how much that meant to me. I probably haven't said it enough. I just wanted to get you something special so you can remember that too."

Or suitably appropriate wordage that you think your wife will appreciate hearing. Not saying, "This will definitely get you another game." but it might at least get you laid.

What's the deal with Alaska?

I've only ever played with three girls, two of which are in my current game. All of them have been fine

first girl didn't know what she was doing at all, and was super quiet. I helped her with spells and shit because she didn't know any of them despite playing a wizard

a game i'm in right now has the other two. One is a life cleric and is pretty adorable, just tries to help out the party though she does some pretty interesting stuff sometimes like setting up in the town we're in and offering healing services for gold

the other girl is the DM and she's good too, inexperienced but she just tries to have fun

my experiences with girls in tabletop is pretty much no different than guys. The only problem that has ever come from girls in my games are that guys in the game will act differently than they would otherwise/try and flirt, which is understandable i guess. doesn't bother me and frankly I love having a cute healbot in the party

You tell me.

I circulated DM responsibilities for a bit allowing the players to personally develop their characters background. The girl in the group flawlessly adapted a comparable 4E monsters stats into a brand new monster to fit the descriptive narrative of her session. I was impressed. Probably my favorite of the groups. Ladies got some skills bonuses, guys got others. Whatevs

My game would not be half as good without one of the girls in my group.

I DM online, using voice chat, and post-game banter is done with both voice and cam.

She's the one who started off just sitting in on our sessions because she really wanted to join in but can't commit to every session every week, just most of them.

So rather than playing a character līe the rest of the group, because explaining why it's suddenly not there or making someone else play it is shit, she plays npcs, enemies, and sort of co-DM's with me. If someone runs off on their own to do shit, she might dm for that character until it's back, if the pc's are hanging out in a tavern she voices batmaids, other patrons, sassy cooks and whatever she feels like.

Having a female voice to offset my own some times, an extra perspective so that I, the DM gets surprised more often, and help with the logistics of split parties and stories has been a huge, huge asset.

She's also great with making new people feel welcome and relax a bit, at least one of the girls in the group would not have been there if it wasn't for her.

>I wanna do this, but I don't know what my core beliefs or my personality are. How do I find out?

I can tell you but you won't like it.

so you had a problem with HER doing something you have no problem with? gotcha

How would you have played him?
