>Shroedinger
>You have the ability to perform multiple actions simultaniously [sic] on a quantum level; you are limited to 10 actions at the same time and each of them can’t last longer than one minute

What does this power do?

It lets you do several things at once. Think Tsubame Gaeshi. Fake Assassin in general, really. It's either a really good or a really bad power, depending on how you think.

UPDATE
So, I decided to just forget about the height limit and implement the general drawbacks the way I originally wanted. No, I don't anticipate Amnesia to be popular, unless someone wants a fresh start. But that's why it is flexible enough that you can always just take Library as a free one & pick a different one you want as the drawback.
(1/9)

So, my next CYOA is going to have a rather complicated weapon upgrading system.

Do you guys prefer it to be a simple "have 10 upgrades, use it how you wish" sort of thing or would you prefer it to be a progression? In the sense that you have to "defeat" a boss to obtain enough materials for an upgrade so you can continue your progression.

It will essentially be a mini-RPG that focuses on character progression. Weapon stats are complicated enough that you might need a calculator to calculate attack ratings and compare damage types versus what types of bosses you fight against. I will try to keep it as simplified as possible but it will be complicated in the CYOA sense.

Oh, right, and I guess it lets you cheese quantum physics or something. You'll never be allowed in a casino again, if people figure it out.

Since the first page had no more room, I had to make another listing page. New, we have a couple of not-quite-human-shaped people. Both are soft and cuddle-able.
(2/9)

Is there a cyoa where you become a powerful demon, preferably a highranking archdemon?

Not the roommate cyoa or succubus cyoa though, I'm talking adventure and fantasy.

And now back to the grind of uploading the same ol' pages.
(3/9)

This takes quite a while.
(4/9)

We're getting there.
(5/9)

It's weird when I posted the page with Pan & Captcha wanted me to pick breads.
(6/9)

Kind of a weird one. Not studying seems like an impossible poor decision.

Was going to go for the Classics originally but then I read in the notes how very specific and limited the upgrade is. Not at all what I'm interested in. Would've like to take Intro Mathematics and Intro P.E. as well but I'm very happy with what I ended up with. Going to need some sort of armor too, which Architecture will help with. Might be nice to spend Year II exploring the campus but I'm just not risking forgetting an entire class.

I like the MH progression style.

What is the cyoa about in general though?

Last one before new content.
(7/9)

...

New page!
Because I feel like someone will ask about it, the life cycle for Floof is basically the same as a human except they undergo a metamorphosis for about a month from ages 16 - 22 and don't undergo the mental changes of puberty until the months leading up to this. And, like all the other supernatural creatures, they don't get old and die.
(8/9)

And here's the Library
(9/9)

You're making Jumpchain for dummies but I love it. Make sure the world progression coincides with powerlevel though so we keep some challenge going.

It's a sign. Bread girl is best girl.

Just something you can expect traditional RPG elements to be a part of, which is why I want to make it have a complex weapon statting system.

There will be a multitude of ways you can upgrade your weapons, IE to scale with certain stats of yours more. Also you can ascend weapons to be something completely different.

>Voyeuristic prostitution
>Mind rape memory death
Why are your drawbacks so mean and horrible jesus christ. You should've just left them out, because it completely ruins the tone. It goes from 'cute and nice' to 'horrible and evil, this bitch is clearly a fucking monster and this whole agency corrupt'.

>It lets you do several things at once.
Like patting your head with your right hand while rubbing your belly with your left hand or having a conversation while fantasizing about something else? I don't know what the phrase "on the quantum level" means, but if the power just makes you good at multitasking (albeit with a working memory of only 60 seconds) then I understand it.

>Think Tsubame Gaeshi. Fake Assassin in general.
I don't know what you're describing.

You had the perfect opportunity to make Floof metamorphose into a mothboy... but you didn't take it. You're lucky Kataline is such a cutie.

Please never stop making these.

Pretty sure nobody would be happy with that.

The simple one. I'm stupid. And I'm not the only one. But do what you wanna do buddy, you'll just be restricting your potential player base but maybe that's okay. You're not trying to make money anyway.

Sometimes I forget not everyone is a part of the Bi masterrace.

I'm bi, I don't like the idea of being given one thing and then having it switched around to something else.

Are you still mute when you're fully mothified?

>Floof

Aaand there's finally a new best girl to replace Mishe and Harmony.

And I love everything about queen.

Plus, I think this is the first ability for myself that I actually like. Hell yes I want to fly.

I don't really care for any of the dowries, so I suppose I'll take love nectar.

Floof is best girl.

>Why are your drawbacks so mean and horrible
I was just trying to weight them evenly with with something as detested as working...
Does anyone else agree with this user's assessment about the tone?

At least you like one of them.

Yes, but at least there's no additional drawback when going from 3 bites to 4.

Glad you like her!

Fake Assassin is the imaginary person summoned to full the role of the Assassin class in Fate/Stay Night. He didn't have any crystallized proof of his legend, being that he didn't really exist, but he was exceptionally skilled. He could, among other things, cause others to subconsciously discount him and prevent people from understanding his fighting style. Tsubame Gaeshi is the pinnacle of his talent as a swordsman, and is essentially an attack that can't be blocked, because it works by cutting in three different directions at the same time. Not in the "so fast it's almost simultaneous" sense, but in the "dimensionally refracted phenomenon" sense, where the three cuts happened in one swing.

Anyway, it's a power that relies on imagination. If you lean on it, I could see you using it to preserve resources, create/clone items, walk through walls, dodge attacks better, sneak up on people, always win games of chance, step across spaces, breathe without air. Well, I don't think you're supposed to, but I like it.

>Slytherin
Quality above quantity, and ambition over recklessness.

>Potions Class
Potion brewing in the potterverse is just plain incredible. My goal is to invent a potion that allows vampires to walk in the sunlight but that will probably not work, until then I have no idea how to hide my vampire powers though.

>Draco Malfoy
He's misunderstood, rich and smug. There was no other option.

>Sword of Gryffindor
This looks like something that will only keep getting better as I slay monsters through the multiverse.

GREAT WORK. Now create more, a lot more. Do all of the worlds!

I imagine it's more like Coil, but picking and choosing elements to keep from both. You can simultaneously walk up to someone with bodyguards and shoot them in the face, while also staying away from them, and keep the results of having shot them without having to be standing there in front of their guards.

So not just multitasking, but I might be wrong.

Why would anyone trust an organization that can destroy your mind completely and offers it out of hand to any random person coming in?

>Not studying seems like an impossible poor decision.
>in a magical university
No shit Sherlock.

Well duh. But it's poor design for a game to have a decision with only one real choice.

You only have to pick it once for it to apply to all four years.

>Does anyone else agree with this user's assessment about the tone?
Amnesia is horrible and I would never take it, but I have seen some willingly choose it in other CYOAs (not wanting to carry old memories of their life as fat nerd when starting a new life as a qt girl and stuff). Doesn't really paint the organization badly because it's completely voluntary.

Surveillance is kind of iffy if you're doing a lewd build. Someone who just takes a cute girl to hang out with probably wouldn't mind. Maybe there could a restriction on where they place the cameras? Like no cameras in the bathroom or bedroom. I would still take it half of the time as it is.

I have no opinion on your CYOA, but your post made me think of an idea I would like to use: a multitude of mini tech trees to invest points in.

Hey OP did you make this?

I thought it might be that but I can't tell at all from the description.

>Doesn't really paint the organization badly because it's completely voluntary.
Group is all powerful enough that they can destroy your mind. Group offers this to random people for using their library. Not only is this price completely out of sync for what's gained, the fact that they even HAVE this kind of power makes them untrustworthy, you can have no idea how often they've used it and on who.

I mean I thought it might be Coil's thing, not the keeping several elements of each.

I don't think you'd like Men In Black.

Why would the maker of a CYOA not post it with a proper filename?

The Men in Black are only liked because you're lead into trusting the characters we meet. If there was a government organization that did what they then people would flip the fuck out on them for it, even outside the whole ALIENS bit, that kind of power is never trusted.

>Lose all memories
Hope you enjoy potty training and trying to learn English as an adult.

Well yeah, isn't that essentially what every or most CYOAs are? Especially fantasy and RPG based ones.

I didn't mean it literally. Like, when a person gets amnesia, they don't forget that stuff. I'll see about rewording it for you.

Could someone open my mind and convince me not to pick Andrea if my only intention is to give her a soul, yet turn her into my obedient robot workdrone?

When can we pick the office lady? She specifically said she lives alone and doesn't want to. I feel kinda bad for her.

>For me
>Implying I'd ever pick this shit

I wonder why you flipped the fuck out just because the amnesia choice user. Especially the organization already much more powerful than that before this update. After all they do take care the likes of djinn and little gods

Philosopher's Stone

I was real torn between Magical Theory and Care of Magical beasts, but I think I can learn about unicorns on my own time. With the philosopher's stone and my classes, I try to engineer a means of permanent transfiguration, to alter myself at a natural level, to such an extent that my bones become condensed, reinforced wand wood, and my marrow is adapted into unicorn marrow. I will now become addicted to the blood for it will already be a part of me, and with my modified bones I aught to have the ability to survive most on-grounds attacks.

Because it wrecks the tone. This place comes across as evil and corrupt with the voyeur and mind rape options. Before the drawback was just a job, mundane, not something to be suspicious about.

I'm thinking about 20 trees with 5-8 weapon upgrades in each. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a CYOA like that.

Wait, I don't get it. If what you pointed out wasn't even a factor is dissuading from the choice, why did you mention it?

I haven't made a page for her, yet.

I'm pretty sure Transfiguration is permanent by default, maybe unless you mess up. Likewise, you don't need to become a treant to use magic without a focus in the series, it's just hard.

I noticed that something stupid was written there, so I pointed it out. Poking logic holes in things doesn't mean I like those things.

If she's the princess of a kingdom of cat people then why is it that her cat ears are explained by her being the daughter of a spirit of luck?

And it's only voluntary choices user, after all would you really trusted an organization who have powers and spell to deal with this? They can create souls, necromancy, etc.

Afterall who to say you haven't mindraped when picking? Who knows what they actually did with spells and stuff.

Just ignore that choices if it really bothering you.

If i work at that kind of organization a memory erasure is probably a must. Some things better left unknown afterall. Also for secutrity measure.

No one in the series has ever done Transfiguration on themselves to the extent that user wishes to though. He can use all the help he can get.

Because her mom decided to give everyone in the kingdom cat ears too. For kicks.

Cool CYOA. I don't get the whole crossworlds thing though.

Because that's where the kingdom got their cat ears, too.

>Afterall who to say you haven't mindraped when picking?
I think you're missing it, this is exactly part of my problem with the implication that it's something they can do. They can abuse that power and nobody would know.

My issue is a complaint of tone. This breaks the tone of the CYOA (which was mostly innocent) and destroys any trust you can place in this girl and her organization.. It's not so much that there's amnesia in there, it's that this organization can CAUSE amnesia and flings it about so willy nilly.

I'm pretty sure that sort of body modification would be considered black magic and declared illegal, so Dark Arts would be more useful for him than Transfiguration. He isn't really turning into a different thing, after all, just trying to make himself better at being him, no matter the cost.

...

you should have just moved the 2 you added to the first page a bit ago to this page so that it had more info on it. or even have moved 4 from page 1 to page 2, that would keep page 1 about the same size, not that that's vital.

I think he's planning on adding even more, so this complaint is temporary.

>Jumpchain for dummies
Why for dummies?

Wands are magical amplifiers, it would be foolish of me to not want my body to become its own magical amplifier by an extraordinary amount. And, in regards to transfiguration and permanency, I have seen no evidence to suggest this, all transformations demonstrated within the franchise only last for a short period, Whether or not this is because they choose to dismiss the effect or because it is temporary are never specified. I don't want to take that chance when it comes to altering myself to an extreme.
Dark arts do not seem to cover what I pursue, whereas transfiguration specifically states what I seek, altering aspect of myself into something other than they were. I, of course, would be in open conversation with this experimentation with the teachers, and put an effort to curb my research so as to avoid doing the experiment on such a level they might feel is not in the best interest of me or the school, only pursuing secrecy should it outright denied in all forms.

Well good luck with that, you're going to get a lot of reskinned upgrades between different trees. I know that difficulty first hand and my next two CYOAs are going to basically have something like it. Not only will balancing be an issue, but just coming up with uniqueness while maintaining appeal in the options becomes exponentially difficult with the more options you set for yourself. Same goes for hard stats if you're thinking of having those.

This one in particular is more stat based so different upgrades effects numbered stats on your weapon, including stat scaling constants. Depending on your stat investment, it might be better to adventure in different areas and fight different bosses due to damage types.

No interest in additional bites or drawbacks, because I don't really need for her to able to metamorphose after she has become a queen.

She might not able to find her old family, but we can make a new better one together.

I don't know, amnesia is pretty tame compared what they already can do before this.

Of course i know that memory loss is sensitive stuff around here, for me too. Afterall why would you only have the knowledge from library but sacrifice every memories from your birth is maze me.

As for tone, remember Fei La and demon hunters? Slime and their persecution? Soulless robots? It never all sugary of course, but well my view of the world pretty minus, so i am biased.

You can shoot a gun in one direction, and at the same time, shoot the same gun, the same bullet in entirely different direction. While you had no gun in your hands at all, you were fighting three dudes in melee with a sword at the same time. You hit each of those three guys with one vertical slash of your sword, despite each of them standing in entirely different position from you. All at the same time, simultaniously.

>that pic
no
how about no

Honestly, the whole goddamn library thing makes no sense both ways!

I get why you need to pick it as an option gameplay/logically, but since you'd only be going in there for the one book/info/item which is supposedly directly related to their goal of fostering human/monster relations, there is no good logical/lore reason for them to not just let you in there for free (one time) to get the relevant info.

And the amnesia thing is just... Why? How? What's the deal? There's no reason for them to actually do that.

And frankly, the book benefits aren't that good overall. It's really nice for a select few characters (Really improves the Djinn's quality of life for example) But suffering mindrape or even giving up a free house or money is totally not worth waterproofing clothes for the slime. Waterproof clothes already exist. Just give her a latex suit or something.

Your cost/benefits are out of wack since that option is so unbalanced.

Surveillance is fine. It's creepy, but justifiable (Research purposes) And getting a custom dream home all expenses paid is a pretty massive boon. Objectively the most expensive one if there really is no limit and you can literally have a multi-million dollar home.

Job is fine, butthurt neets can just not take it. It pays like $18/hr plus benefits which isn't the best, but better than a lot of annons probably have.

The thing is, creating a soul is an active thing. You made something, you didn't effect an already existent person. Induced amnesia is something you CAUSE to a person, it can only effect, destroy, and manipulate an already living thing. They might have been 'powerful' before, but this kind of mind affecting magic is in a completely different direction.

You're also missing that I don't like the whole voyeur option, it feels like prostitution and is obviously destruction of privacy rights. Especially since the office chick is implying she's going to watch them. It's not as bad as the Amnesia, but I don't like the implications there either.

Cause Jumpchain is a complicated but kind of fun clusterfuck compared to Crossworlds. I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying the bits of Crossworlds I'm seeing though.

Also, user? The demon hunters, persecution etc, those are things outside of the organization. Things that they're trying to mitigate when they're not fair or right. It's part of what painted them as the good guys before the whole mind rape powers made them untrustworthy.

Well, the only solid assertion I've seen that Transfiguration is inherently temporary is HPMoR, which was wrong about literally everything it attempted to address, so I'd side against it here on sheer principle. Also, according to Rowling, the best practitioner of wandless/focus-less magic was also one of the strongest known practitioners. Anyway, it's your story, so you take it as you like.

I know i know, memory loss is bad, that's why i said it's completely strange, 10+ year of your life just for sliver of knowledge? Ridicoulous.

As for voyeur, yeahhh not gonna pick them unless necessary, though even if are not picking them, there probably some dudes still monitoring us, but yeah the choice kinda bad.

That's why i only picking deskjob~ Best choice of three.

Thanks. Wow this is one long intro. Basically it's a cool multiverse where every fiction has its own dimension and stuff? And the player has to protect a world seed?

There's gotta be a more concise and catchier way to get that across. Not that it's badly written, it's just kinda too long of an infodump up top. Just my personal opinion. I like it anyway.

It is, and I agree. That's the thing, he tried to balance these options with how 'hated' a job was, but the thing is he didn't consider how it effected his tone and lore in the CYOA either, or that people's fear of a job (I'm bad with people and scared) aren't the same as their problem levels with voyeurism (no privacy or comfort in my own home) and mindrape (I die/become someone else), nor did he take into account how people stopped complaining about job after the desk alternate was included. So the job option with enough variation nobody complained, to stuff you almost always get an adverse reaction to in any variant. It's not parity.

I know it's long but I had so much I wanted to stuff in.
It's adapted from a table top rpg I made a few years ago.

>It pays like $18/hr plus benefits which isn't the best, but better than a lot of annons probably have.
You can also show up to the work looking completely different or with moth wings growing out of your back; something that I don't think I could do in my current job.

I don't know~ For me as an organization who maintain integration of supernatural being, this kind of things pretty normal.

But like i said, i view world in pretty minus way so i am biased.

Also miss interviewer already tried to do some mind tricks from start with her own lustvision,or something, so yeah i am fine aslong i am not picking the options.

Fei La, Jeanne, and Pan still best girls.

>HPMoR, which was wrong about literally everything it attempted to address
Sure but it was fun in a nerd power-fantasy kind of way. Also sometimes the story got legs and jumped from its creator's soapbox to run wild and just be a nice retelling/reframing of HP. I enjoyed those moments.

Also yeah, instead of those kind of drawback Beri could just give use some vartiety of jobs like as part time librarian or something.

Somekind perks like double roommate is great too.

Perhaps you could sprinkle the lore through the CYOA? Or just trim it a bit? Or insert some images between the paragraphs?

Just random suggestions. It's your game so do as you wish. What are you planning next?

While that is fair, I'd argue that the benefit of raw output imbued directly into you may outweigh the benefit of understanding how to properly manifest magic without a wand. That said, I do admit to seeing the benefits of that, but would like to say that such practice also seems like something more covered in Magic Theory, which I will already be pursuing.

Also, I just went to check, and according to Rowling, Transfiguration works by changing the object even on a molecular level. Since you can also use it to duplicate food, and transfiguring yourself was noted to be dangerous because you could get stuck and forced to live out your life as an animal or some kind of abomination without assistance, I feel that it's safe to say it's not temporary.

this does alter things a bit, but not enough to change my specialty classes, as both are still almost certainly needed for what I am aiming for. At the very least, it does mean less time can be spent on some aspects of the engineering to favor others in quality, so thank you for that info.

How terrible for these girls that they're not getting any attention because of controversial changes on page 1.

Guy working on the seven sins/virtues cyoa here. Hit a small rut with the powers, but I'll figure them out soon enough. Please share whatever thoughts you wish.
Also, I started the color cyoa a while ago, and have decided to do some of it when I have hit a rather large rut in my current cyoa.
Lastly, what font's would you recommend for the virtues?

If not double roomates. I was going to suggest some kind of benefit or drawback that would allow you to gain a gift or a blessing from some girl OTHER than the one you actually picked.

Because there are a few combos that can't be done but would be really synergistic.

Take Militant Macaroons for example. It's of limited practical use for the life of an assistant baker, is it not? Since Pan mostly lends herself to comfy builds.

On the other hand, the effects of those Macaroons are damn near perfect for being Kaila's combat partner.

They do senpai, just scroll up.
