We all know the story

We all know the story.
A Big Bad Evil Girl and a paladin trying to fuck the evil out of her.
It doesn't matter who she is - a bog-standard succubus, or some kind of exotic princess - the point is, the concept of pleasure torture and brainwashing isn't exactly new.

However, it does make you wonder.
If there are people who train their willpower to resist painful torture, surely, there are also people who train themselves to be resistant to pleasure, right?
People who derive a semblance of satisfaction solely from their job and are numb to ordinary worldly pleasures - usually those are people so obsessed with their work or art that they literally are unable to derive pleasure from sybaritic pleasures.

Ascetic monks who believe in minimalism and self-perfection, bards obsessed with their art to the point they only care about music or whatever they perform, curious wizards who have complete lack of interest if the task at hand doesn't include some sort of intellectual pursuit etc.

And we like these people, especially, when they are presented as good guys.
I mean, who doesn't love the good ol' Judge Dredd?

And yet, when the two of the different kinds of characters cross - a beautiful evil seductress and a frigid ascetic person - we often come up with a blank.
Maybe it's a succubus who hates her job and milks people as fast and as professional as humanly possible.
Maybe it's an evil princess who seduces people for fun and profit, except there is no fun in it, just profit.
The point is, it's their job, they work it 9-to-5, and they slave away at it without deriving any pleasure from it, despite the fact that their job is the posterboy for excess and debauchery.

What's the point of this post? I don't know myself.

what the actual fuck
with what kind of GM do you play these stories

This should solve a lot of the problems the taimanin ninjas encounter.

>If there are people who train their willpower to resist painful torture, surely, there are also people who train themselves to be resistant to pleasure, right?

It's much more difficult, due to the way the brain is wired.

>not deriving erotic pleasure from rolling dice, writing on the character sheets and moving miniatures across the grid
It's like you don't even Veeky Forums.

What the fuck is this post.

"Lawful Hot Dickings" is more about the romance than the sex, assuming the DM's knowledge of relationships doesn't come from mindbreak doujins. And yes, there are obviously people it won't work on.

What is that thing you call "romance"?
Is it edible? What does it have to do with the cardiac muscle? Why do I feel nothing?

>surely, there are also people who train themselves to be resistant to pleasure, right?

Damaging the nerves so that they don't feel much pleasure or living a lifestyle so hedonistic that nobody can offer them enough pleasure to matter seem easier.

Similar sentiments can be expressed in regards of pain.

DA BIG HORMON BANGS
Heart beasts faster so that chemicals are transported around the body faster
No, you can't eat abstract things
You feel nothing because Iron is Strong

You mean, the heart works harder, making it better, beating faster, making us stronger?

True. But:
- Psychological torture isn't going to be stopped by deadening nerves.
- Fewer people would choose a life of constant pain over a life of constant pleasure.

>Fewer people would choose a life of constant pain over a life of constant pleasure.
Is there really a difference?
If the pain or pleasure are constant, and its respective opposite is absent, does it really make a difference? You would grow accustomed to it in no time, if given no time to rest.
Shadow without light, yadda yadda.

Obviosuly the BBEG fucks the paladin over by Orgasm denial and endless sexings until he turns evil

Well, why don't you try eating only lead instead of bread.

>romance

One's art is the only real romance in the world. What good is there in obsessing on the fleeting emotions and rotting flesh of another creature when you could be replicating your vision of the world, shaped by your unique perspective and molded by your own experiences. Lovers live and lovers die, but great art creates its own context and is thus timeless.

>If pain remains constant and unchangable you will adjust to it until you are accustomed to it
FALSE

Pain is inherently designed in such a way to be Unacustommable. It's the warning sign of something abnormal and wrog that will work 100% of the time.

There's a reason there's a huge industry around Chronic pain medication and treatments. Unlike our other senses, sight, sound, smell, pain is one of the few senses felt by the body first before the mind. Your hand will retract from a candle before your brain registers it as bad.

The OP only makes sense to me if he has ruined his brain by only reading porn and doesn't realize that people turn down sex all the time

>A paladin tries to use his +5 holy paladin cock to fuck the evil out of a sorceress
>A sorceress tries to use her +5 profane sorceress vagina to fuck the good out of a paladin
>An entire decade of lust and passion esues, but neither of them are willing to budge even the slightest in their ideologies
>However, the sorceress has given birth to an infant
>After a while, the two simply agree that they cannot live together due to opposed alignments
>A messy divorce ensues
>The paladin father gains custody because lawful characters generally fare better in divorce courts
>The father raises his son to become a great hero who will smite the evil sorceress and do what he himself could not do
>Whenever the son takes out one of the sorceress' lieutenants, she is not mad or afraid
>She merely expresses how disappointed she is in her son and that if she were the one who raised him, he wouldn't have become some goody-two-shoes
>The paladin races back and forth between his hometown and various outposts of evil, resupplying and taking out lieutenants
>His journeys back and forth are always accompanied by "tell your mother..." or "tell your father..." accusations, insults, grievances and quibbles
>Eventually Paladin Jr. falls because of confused alignment identity
>He's too evil to remain a paladin, but not evil enough to be a blackguard
>Both parents blame eachother
>Ex-Paladin Jr. is now a tavern keeper who serves young adventurers while struggling with depression

Lawful hot dickings: not even once.

I see what you did, user...

how do they even do their jobs when they're getting fucked all the time

What if that's their job?

But user, their job pretty much is to get fucked all the time.

What, you thought they were to actually fight? Hahahaha. As if.

> living a lifestyle so hedonistic that nobody can offer them enough pleasure to matter seem easier.

Can confirm from experience, after a certain point the thought of committing to whoever you're fucking, getting them pregnant and having a house with a white picket fence lifestyle can actually become a fetish. Especially if you know you would actually hate that life.

It's so fucking weird after when you realize you came buckets from whispering to her about how you're going to wife you up and she responds by detailing how you're going to break down household responsibility in a life you're never going to have.

It's like how I used to love doing blow, and now I'm all about oatmeal and Red River cereal for breakfast instead so I have great consistent BMs.

Funny, because the Greeks use the same word for love of the arts and sexual passion

Is this how gods of good, evil, nuetrality are made? Divorced and bitter parents that are oppisites of each other with a confused and depressed child? I don't know how I feel about this.

About that...

Except Pala-dad fell long ago for being a cpwardly, manipulative monster that raised a child to kill it's own mother and had more moral weakness than the archetypical fallen Paladin Lancelot ever demonstrated.

That does wonder if it's morally objectionable to raise a son to kill his own mother when his mother is clearly, objectively, measurably and admittedly evil to the core.

I think the English language, and Western languages in general, would be better off if we copied the Greeks in their expressions of love. Love covers such a wide range of emotions that one word isn't enough to cover it all.
