My issue with Grot Banshees is how much space their models take up in foam due to the wings.

nrelated to mk3, my friend is gonna be kicking up an IKRPG game and i'm sort of new to the system. I wanna make someone hard hitting and tough, how are iron fangs in the RPG as a career? I was thinking of making an iron fang/military officer for someone who can hit hard, take a hit, and maybe do somecombat buffs.
I've switched to magnets due to the number of nails and tusks on my models. Now I can hold my whole army upside down, even the old metal models.
Ryder James
should work fine. just make sure to go skilled if you arent gonna be the brains of the operation. mighty is only better if you really need better self-healing for some reason
Juan Martin
I was mostly thinking mighty or skilled, mighty for defender and righteous anger as a combination.
Chase Robinson
i hear bad things about the RPG system trying to be too much like the TT system, to its detriment. life spirals make things all look flimsy including PCs :\
Adrian Brown
Thats only the beginning of it. Imagine an Xray vision spell that only thinks about how it ignores LOS for ranged attacks. Not about how you know, your looking through walls!
Jeremiah Lee
skilled is better 90% of the time, regardless of what you are doing because its archetype benefits are ridiculous. virtuoso, swashbuckle, defensive strike, sidestep...
i ran two mighty characters in a row before figuring that out. vendetta is a necessity if you really want to go that way, its your feat point engine.
Bentley Stewart
Not sure I like the BM package, but it warrants testing.
Samuel Lee
The DM really doesn't like Virtuoso and has effectively softbanned it. I can take it, but i'd feel like a real heel if I did use it, so is Skilled still worth it if I avoid it?
Brandon Jenkins
yeah it's mostly there to shoot out flankers and be gross on feat turn. being only FURY 6 it's also a way to get a couple more beasts on the board, POW 13 + 4d6 on the (free) charge followed up with two 13+3d6 isn't awful.
Levi Ramirez
My Grandma just died and I'm really upset. She bought me this Warhound titan right before she died and it means a lot to me. Do you think the TO would be okay if I used it as a Gorax? It's really sentimental to me and I want to use it in every game I play.
Juan Hill
Uh, isn't a Gorax a medium base That thing is way too big, for starters.
Leo Green
oh for fucks sake fuck off with that stupid shit from the last thread, nobody cares
Luke Collins
look at the size of that
Hunter Adams
But my grandma bought me it, don't you understand how important that is to me?
Landon Jackson
lol what
Ryan Brooks
I definitely see the merits. We'll just have to see if it's too vulnerable, or if another heavy would be better.
Asher Kelly
only autist virgins find this shit funny
Jeremiah Johnson
>being this anally devastated that someone had a good relationship with their grandfather
Dylan Gutierrez
I always liked the Mistress on paper in Mk2, but squishiness combined with lack of raw power made it hard to justify her, and since the pot couldn't restock her missiles she lost a lot of value quickly.
I think that the pot changes and shredders being better at killing stuff makes her more promising, so I'd definitely say this is worth trying out.
Aaron Turner
Try harder, bub. From the looks of it you are really triggered, autist. I forgot about that and here you are again, providing me with joy from your butthurt! Brilliant! By the way know what you have in common with Gorax? You are both gaining power from your anal pains.
Jose Butler
Please provide rules leak, scan, pdf, please provide something or the hype is gonna kill me. i do not want to hear the grandpa heirloom stuff again.
Mason Sullivan
> >Fingers crossed she may be another caster for Thamar.
Alexia is not a Thamarite.
Gavin Brooks
I am trying to find out which No Quarter has the Steelhead stuff for the IKRPG. Anyone want to help me out?
Joshua Williams
Not sure I'm happy with it.
Matthew Reed
the BB doesn't do enough for them.
Carson Price
Anyone have a better image of OP's pic? The frogman about to get eaten is dope.

Eli Mitchell
Swap for Seraph and Typhon?
Jaxson Smith
I am *really* stoked for this guy. Can't wait to try him out, especially in a Kreoss2 army. All exemplars, every day. And Fire of Salvation, I guess.

But I don't know if that's the best way to play her anymore. Her defensive capabilities are weakened, and Incite more widely applicable.
Austin Sanders
so what are some cheese lists you guys assume you will see the first few months... i've heard -madrack2 waaagh-like -sloan snipe -venethrax mass flying jacks -mass juggs -thag1 revive any others and anymore specifics about these?
Eli Morales
Banshees. Banshees for days. You can get them to effective RAT9 POW14 with 10 8" sprays. SPD7 with wings and gunfighter. Force barrier keeps them safe from drifting AOE, bring the solo and keep them safe from most direct shooting too. Something like this (I made it in like two seconds but it's a start):
Stack with High Reclaimer's Hand of Fate for mega dice stupidity
Juan Stewart
>By the way know what you have in common with Gorax? You are both gaining power from your anal pains.
You fucking got me user.
Adrian Sullivan
SP6 aren't they? Or am I missing something?
Christian Perry
That's a cool model, I'll allow it
Owen King
LOL
Kayden Gray

Chase Green
...
Josiah Jones
Seraph yes. Typhon, eh. You need to be able to reliably generate enough fury to fill both up while having transfer targets. This list also lacks a real heavy - Zuriel doesn't cut it.
You don't need that much Fury management either. I'd lose the Shepherd.
The Shepherds will mostly hang out with the Naga and Seraph, you’ll need to use fury to clear the others.
Benjamin Lee
Put her in cover or on a hill. Block some LOS. She will largely be OK I think. No Rampager means you can hold more transfers. Not getting a feat move isn't the end of the world.
I'm not sold on the Ravagore. I'd probably trade it for some combination of -Annyssa -Banshees -Swordsmen + UA
And get a Shepherd friend or two for the Seraph. Maybe trading out one of the Forsaken/
Ayden Ramirez
You're missing nothing, I'm just retarded. I think they're still incredibly good with her.
John Clark
i'm on a swordsmen kick with basically everything haha but i can see how they would be
Owen Stewart
There are very few losers with the new Incite. I think that Banshees are just very cost effective and easier to deliver. Swordsmen will definitely do a lot more work if you can get them there safely though. I can get behind both options, and I like that she has a lot more flexibility than before.
Aiden James
Banshees, I'm just thinking does the list really need more sprays on top of Typhon, or could it benefit from more cracking. POW 14 isn't really going to crack a heavy, but they will absolutely shred lights with several of them
Aiden Davis
For Khador I can suggest: jack box spam, mow box spam, min wgrc+rockets spam, Irusk2 any infantry spam, Harkevich arcing fire blast spam.
Nolan Bennett
The list I threw together is definitely spray-heavy, but it's not exactly lacking armor cracking either. 2 Scytheans and Typhon is pretty good at destroying anything you need it to. The banshees are cheap chaff that can do surprising work against enemy screens, or get unexpected shots on second line squishies.
Nathan Allen
I'm a bit rusty on how warbeast packs work.
Do Blight Wasps benefit from Beth's feat by themselves?
Alexander Lee
Vayl2: can she be salvaged? Can't really call her spell list BAD, but it's certainly a lot weaker. Any list ideas?
Thomas Davis
Unfortunately not, as they count as a unit comprised of warbeasts/grunts, but not warrior models, so they can't trigger it off of each other. They are warbeasts though, so you can have them run and spread out on any target you need to jam your swordsmen/raptors/whatever into to trigger the feat flank for cheap.
Joseph Cruz
they're not warrior models.
Matthew Walker
Conflict Chamber dude.
Parker Sullivan
Seraphs and Scytheans with boundless charge are not bad tech. Bring a cheap screen and pot if you want. Raptors can still do a lot of work for her (occultation on them is very good) - they could before but you couldn't take them in theme so you rarely ever saw it.
Her personal assassination potential is somewhat reduced against some things, but against lower ARM warlocks, and with the new overboosting mechanics, she can force a lot of transfers/overboost spending and enable a second piece to come in and finish the job, as she can nickel and dime with a series of cheap nukes instead of just dropping a wad right on their head.
Landon Lee
so he is uuuh
Jason Perry
A Merc, I'd say. The Partisan rule doesn't really matter here in a listbuilder at the moment.
Nathaniel Robinson
No, just thinking use for him
Dominic Phillips
Hot Meal. Stryker2.
Austin Clark
Thrown together, probably not great
Thomas Green
you don't need this much fury mgmt. 1 forsaken and a shepherd would probably suffice.
vayl wants a raek.
Dylan Hernandez
Why a Raek? Not like she can use it as an Arc Node.
Jaxson Hughes
Miserable pony mountain.
Jordan Ward
She can actually...auto hit trumps auto miss
anyway ECR made it even better for facilitating assassination via flying headbutt
The issue is that it's going to be way out of her RNG, even if you brought a bolt thrower for 12" oraculi shenanigans, but you're not bringing it to be an arc node, you'd be bringing it for extreme flanking maneuvers.
I'm not 100% on the double hellmouth, but mostly because no one has really played it yet to see if 1 or 2 is enough.
I'm not sure if 2 forsaken is needed, but I'm not sure what you would trade it for.
Dominic Allen
...
Chase Martinez
ahhh my mistake
James Cooper
i don't think Vayl2 really does much for the helmouth. vayl1 though sure does.
Tyler Flores
How are Sword Knights in 3E? I still have a unit of them and I wanna use them again.
Jacob Ortiz
They can DEF skew pretty hard, and more jacks in play means more Flank.
Josiah Fisher
Ahh nice, they kept flank you say! Yea 3E is Jack edition, so this should be nice.
Julian Brooks
why would they ever lose flank
Caleb Lewis
I as thinking maybe they got back Rapid Strike.
Angel Davis
First for Carnage was pMakeda's best spell anyway and she still has it, along with a 4" template she can drop on infantry. And infantry on the charge actually hit harder with her now because they go the same distance as with Savagery, but get an extra dice on top now. The main annoyance is losing Press Forward stacking with Savagery, but +2SPD is already enough to win you most charge battles since premeasuring is a thing now. Nihilators threat 13" which is more than most factions can muster. Then when your MAT9 PS12+3d6 Nihilators clear the first wave, they have +2DEF against ranged and magic attacks. Doesn't seem THAT bad. Subjugation of Will is her only spell that looks outright bad, besides her feat of course. All Makeda variants also still retain the ability to cleave through models with Molik Karn, although assassinations are out of the whole fucking question now. You can't 11" advance your way in so have to charge, which now means forcing because Enrage got nerfed, which means 1 less attack on top of already going down from 5 to 4 fury. Fuck man.
Thomas Russell
>capacitor discharge Just... what? What is this? Why?
Blake Rogers
I'm open to suggestions, or discussion if you'd like to post your own take. It's a brave new world of listbuilding n' all.
Parker Gomez
Has he also banned warcasters using Bonded weapons? Because if not he's a super retard and needs to be punched in the dick.
Nathaniel Scott
Plasma Nimbus (and Capacitor) appears to be boostable now. But Direct Current doesn't.
Gabriel Gomez
His Servitors make it effective POW12, so it can put a few points on some heavies, might save you an attack here and there. It also makes it effectively impossible to Tough, because if you tough the initial hit you then take d3 POW12s to the face and die anyway.
Jace Campbell
If your colossal is punching Tough infantry then I think it's a victory for the opponent.
Dylan Fisher
Plasma Nimbus doesn't usually occur during your activation, which is required (in mk2) to boost.
Lincoln Bailey
It's a thing that happens. It also won't have to kill more than one or two of them anyway because Plasma Nimbus will just fucking kill most infantry that get uppity about punching it.
Isaac Ward
I don't see the point of running Iron Kingdoms and banning anything. Isn't the whole point that everything is a broken unbalanced mess?
William Lopez
No one is making one, and the DM has discussed not allowing them but recognizes they are kind of integral and just said that if someone does make a warcaster, then that's something they'd deal with when we got there.
Ryder Wilson
It also means it's one of the nastiest attacks in the game to punch a warnoun with.
Zachary Peterson
Thoughts on my first draft?
Elijah Gutierrez
Kodiak poops clouds in front of Karchev. Sylys upkeeps Road To War for him. Mechaniks heal any ranged damage he takes/are targets for Eruption if he needs more clouds.
Widowmakers and Behemoth shoot squishy thing to proc Road To War.
Field guns shoot heavies to mess with focus/fury and make charges fun.
William Cook
>> sees a sloan list >> doesnt see even a single hunter in it >>sees multiple heavy jacks on a caster i thought i was about jack spam >>pleasantly surprised but still thinks that list will get its shit slapped
Joseph Kelly
Switch Defender for Dynamo or Thunderhead. Sloan needs either multishot jacks or a lot of small ones.
What's the point of 2 captains?
Sebastian Cruz
Added.
What OS/browser are you using, if you don't mind me asking? I'm not seeing the save-as-image clipping the bottom of the image on the stuff I test on (which is mostly Chrome and Firefox for Windows and Linux).
thoughts? Thinking of getting back into MK3 since i haven't played in a year and a half. Always wanted to try Thags with double warspears, but I know they've kind of been nerfed.
Grayson Morgan
Firefox on Windows 10
Jackson Scott
There is no point, but if he's going to be a retard and ban stuff he should at least be consistent in his mental deficiency.
Camden Green
I'd upgrade 1 or both juggies to kodiaks for big cloudwall or take 3 berserkers insted. Between Karchev, Behemoth and Beast you already have enough melee to kill heavies, juggies will be underfocused damage sponges at this point. I don't think Wyshnalyr is worth it unless you're actively casting stuff.
Jaxson Gomez
Thats good point on the kodiaks. Honestly was focussing on stuff I own, but I like that idea so I'll probably upgrade them at some point down the line
