Drawthread: They call her "El" Edition

PRevious Thread Post any art requests you have ITT. Keep in mind, the drawfriends are doing this for fun, so do not be surprised or upset if they gloss over your post. The artists are here to draw what they WANT to draw, not what you THINK should be drawn.

Be patient, and bump your request one time every 24 hours from the time you posted the request. There is no exception to this rule, it doesn't matter if you "have work" or "are going to bed".

DO:
Provide good, detailed references (pictures are better than verbal descriptions), so the artists know what you're looking for as best you can.

Hold off on additional requests after receiving a delivery from an artist, and be mindful of the other requests that might deserve attention.

Mind your manners and say thank you! We appreciate our artists and their amazing work!

DON'T
Don't be an asshole and immediately repost your request because you don't like the FREE art you received.

And for fuck's sake, when someone is being an obvious cunt, DO NOT REPLY TO THEM. All you're doing is wasting bumps and fanning the fire.

Sometimes I don't wanna come back here whenever I see the OP image

Could I get these two characters in the two framed comic strip, with the cleric acting out the role of the book worm?

A veteran Chaos Marine of the Black Legion in ancient, ornate armor- less overly mutated, and more "this guy has fought for ten thousand years and his armor shows it- complete with the original eye of horus on his gilded but functional armor"

Bumping, I suppose.

>Sinfest

Please, stop and never start again.

Bumping, because what the hell

Reposting for that one user

Requesting a picture of the holy messiah figure of my setting, a prophet burned at the stake who simply stepped off the stake after the flames burnt all his flesh off and melted his bonds.

>Red-hot skeleton like in the bottom left pic, no flesh left at all and the fire still clings to his bones.
>Stake like in the top left pic, a large wooden log filled with kindling with a roaring flame that obscures almost ever. The only thing you can really see behind him is a roaring inferno anchored to the stake.
>Like the top right picture, the skeleton has his head illuminated by a glowing halo in the more classical halo of a solid light. However instead of gold, the halo is colored bright green. Likewise, a green fire burns within the eyesockets of the skeleton.
>The pose is like the angel in the statue of the bottom right pic. The skeleton is stepping out of the raging inferno holding one of the molten chains that had bound him to the stake up in triumph and defiance of the authority that tried to destroy him.

Migrating the post.

I was wondering if I could request a drawing of a Rogue for one of my D&D characters, so here's a description.

He is a red (dark shade of red, kinda like wine, and a bit of a greyish undertone.), fire-breathing Dragonborn with bright, yellow eyes and a rough, scaly head, similar to that of spiky hair brushed back. He is moderately tall by human standards, but still falls short by Dragonborn standards, standing at 6 feet and 2 inches. Due to malnutrition, he lacks the usual burly build of the standard Dragonborn, but still possesses some muscular characteristics and is still quite strong, weighing in at somewhere around 230 pounds. He has scars all over his body of all sizes, from small cuts to deep wounds inflicted by foreign blades that he's recovered from, one of the most notable scars being a long, deep gash that runs across the left side of his face.

For the actual drawing itself, I'd like to see my character sitting at a generic wooden table at an inn, with a mug of ale idly set on the table. along with most of his gear which is covered by his black cloak, save for the short sword on his sheath that rests on his side. He's donning his leather armor and reading an old book titled "Tieflings: Their History and Customs". This event takes place in late Medieval times, and references are in pic related. If you manage to pick this request up, I'm thankful already. WIPs would be greatly appreciated as well.

Not sure if its ok to do this, posted this one right as the new thread went up

how come?

Migrating:
The guy on the left has messy and crudely cut black hair, and black robes. He would be the one leaning against the wall.
The guy on the right would have a tie instead of a bowtie and would be making the pose pictured towards the other guy.
The height difference is about the same as the pose pictured.
Both of them would be blushing.

It would be much appreciated.

Do you guys still do special weekend threads?

Sure you don't want some zippers with all those belts?

Migrating from last thread: I'd like to request my elven Abjuration-specialist Wizard - I've basically stated that she's Lady Maria with a lot more elaborate long-coat, elaborate embroidered patterns and suchnot, and a quarterstaff instead of the Rakuyo.

In practice, I'd prefer if her clothing style was closer to the elf girl on the right, with longer boots (knee- or thigh-high ideally) and a similarly-embroidered version of Lady Maria's longcoat/mantle/shouldercape combo (top left) on top of that, wielding the staff on the bottom left.

She has steel-blue eyes, pale skin, and light brown hair that she keeps in a long loose braid.

Tetsuya Nomura would be proud. You monster.

It's kinda like Medieval-times tacticool gear

Requesting my Gnome Cleric of Serenrae with shield and tonfa. Lineart welcome. Hair: Unruly, Forest Gnome for sake of argument.

Any drawanons interested in drawing a night lord from my black crusade game?

Requesting this "Tech Valkyrie" making fun off or sticking her tongue out to a space marine. Maybe a butthurt Black Templar without his helmet on just to show an annoyed look on his face.

Bumping from last thread, I'd like to request a drawing of the Star-Destroyer-ship-girl-esque character that I'm making for a game of The Robotic Age.

Ideally she'd have pale skin and long straight black hair, wearing a kancolle-fied Imperial Navy uniform (short pleated skirt, no pants, etc. etc.) References for star destroyers, weapons and uniform are in pic related.

Lemon, In case you're still taking Knight related quests, may I get an female elf knight and a male teenage noble sitting close together? The lady elf knight has her arm wrapped around the noble teen's waist and the noble teen is smiling and resting his head on her.

Hey, can I get a picture of an attractive, short haired black girl wearing either very form fitting black plate armour or maille? I understand drawing maille can be a bitch, so I don't mind if she's got plate armour instead, so long as it contours to her body. She has a very hopeful look in her eyes, like bad times are here but she's looking past them to a brighter tomorrow.

>dragonborn
>wearing leather armor

Literally his own skin would be a better defense.

Migrating/bumping

Could I request a warrior with the equipment and head of pic related? She should be helmless and standing with shield and sword raised in a "ready" stance, probably scowling and gritting her teeth

Not in D&D, according to the rules. Besides, his skin is a bit worn out and dried up (hence the greyish tone) and he's a Rogue, meaning he's not proficient in harder armors.

I would like to request some fully body art of these characters, with less hump in the armour and a bigger sword on the male.

If coloured, both characters have dark skin, and the mans armour is black with yellow/gold highlights, same for the sword. The woman's armour is black with blue highlights.

maybe after i sleep. no promises though.

Wondering if I could get a female dark elf/druchii corsair, from the Warhammer Fantasy setting. Outfit should incorporate the sea dragon cloak they all wear, though I could go either way on the armor - either a breastplate like shown, or just leather armor.

Facial reference is just a rough guideline - what I'm looking for is big hair, pretty but sharp/angular features, dark eyes, and a nasty or smug expression. Small hooks or barbs woven into her hair would be cool too.

Weapon reference is also a rough guideline - looking for one or a pair of swords that are short and nasty-looking, but maybe without too many over-the-top extra spikes and sawteeth like you usually tend to see with "evil elf" weapons.

I leave the pose to the hypothetical artist, but preferably something that confers dominance, arrogance, a sort of feline-like dismissiveness.

>feline-like dismissiveness.
"You're nya-t even a challenge to me-ow."

lol'd

Wait, so white and gold armor for the chick?

kill me

Migrating my request
Would anyone be willing to take a Warhammer related request? I would like a Night Goblin Warboss drawn. He's gonna be the "Big" baddy for a WHFRP game. He's going to be in the typical Night goblin robes with chain mail armor. He has a coif that covers his mouth and his large nose pokes out. Under the nose are some small triangles of scrap metal painted white and nailed to the coif to look like very sharp nasty teeth and fangs. Just the top teeth no bottom teeth. He has a boss pole with a few skulls and a Chaos Warrior's helmet to top it off. I don't care how it looks just make it look like he was relatively imposing when he was alive. Horns spikes all that good shit, just have fun with it. The Goblin Boss wields an old Flamberge that is broken near the middle. It is tarnished and unclean. I want him standing in a captain morganesque pose with the broken sword in the air, using a squig as the stepping stone instead of the barrel. He's also wearing steel toed boots with spikes on the tips for good kicks

Thank you in advance

Requesting this action woman/babe taking a rather shady quest from some morally grey and neutral aligned anonymous folk.

Did a little better this time, I think.

is this Veeky Forums related?

...

Can't wake up

you just need to do studies friend

Requesting an albino half-giant (about 8 feet tall) with light blue eyes and short white hair. He's a zen archer (think monk + archer), so give him a big bow with some possibly magical looking arrows (they use ki to make trickshots and shit).

Pic related for an idea of how he might dress.

...

If you guys are going to be dicks to the artists, don't be surprised if they decide not to fulfill.

Thank you for the advice.
This was my first time drawing a jumpsuit.
They are formless and flat.
I actually can draw well, I just usually am a slow ass drawfriend.
Working on increasing speed and coloring in a new program lends to lower quality.

Informative, gentlemen. Thanks.

its an improvement

Reposting. I'd like my Raptoran Cleric drawn. His outfit should be blue and white, his feathers(and feather hair) white as well. He should have soft facial features. If he could be healing someone, that would be even better.

Please don't take this the wrong way but you can't draw well.

That illustration shows you aren't just working with an uncomfortable medium or working quickly, you're just missing a lot of fundamental knowledge and understanding of the basics of drawing, and you won't improve unless you do a very large number of targeted studies of the fundamentals.

Go to /ic/, read the sticky, and go from there.

posting this for an user a couple threads back--

>you're just missing a lot of fundamental knowledge and understanding of the basics of drawing
What specifically?

As someone who also draws shit, all you really need is practice, user. I'm really slow with my drawings as well, but I've seen artists who can draw really insanely quickly and really insanely well - the only difference between what they can do and what I can do is that they've put in hours and hours of practice, whereas I draw only for fun and only when I get inspired to draw something specifically. Keep drawing, you'll get faster and better at it. Watching other artists draw also help get an understanding of how they work and thus how to improve your own workflow - if you have issues with coloring, you might want to go to Youtube and watch some speedpaints and the like.

Your art is very very "highschool"
You've practiced a certain amount but not in a targeted manner, you don't understand the fundamentals to the point where you still symbol draw.

Not the same user - but though you have the basic sense of proportion and storytelling in body language under way, your linework isn't confident and your sense of volume is quite shaky. The sense of volume is shown a little better in the picture you attached here, as opposed to the lady in the catsuit, though. But using this tielfling (sp) as an example - the maille and whatever it is at her waist that is making the horizontal lines could use more attention. You can see it subtly with other bits of her armor as well, but I think you're only really starting to think of bits of the form as existing in three dimensions each and of themselves. The bits of armor are starting to curve, yes, but they don't feel any more solid than cardboard or milk carton plastics.

I'm personally starting to follow the tutorials at drawabox.com to properly teach myself the fundamentals. I think they'd help most artists, honestly.

If it helps any, I think you're not far away from a breakthrough if this tiefling is 100% your own work (meaning, you weren't using another drawing as a reference/inspiration). Your linework and detailing is just really not doing you any favors.

I ran across this the other day somewhere on Veeky Forums and thought it might be relevant.

Requesting a half-drow maestro/conductor. He can look pretty much like a regular drow unless you want to add any features that drows don't normally have, ie. a beard, mustache, etc.
Personally I think a nice thick curled mustache would be perfect.

Here you go

Not the OR, but was pic related ever updated by chance?

gammarayghost.tumblr.com/post/145636065178

So sad this is true.

>practice
This is also true.

Thanks for taking the time to critique.

>your linework isn't confident and your sense of volume is quite shaky.
>Your linework and detailing is just really not doing you any favors.
Yeah, my linework is easily my worst skill, by a wide margin.
My linework is shit and brings down whatever 2d art I create.
I've only recently tried improving it rather than working around it.
The volume issue I manage to overcome if I focus, usually.

>If it helps any, I think you're not far away from a breakthrough if this tiefling is 100% your own work (meaning, you weren't using another drawing as a reference/inspiration).
Well, it was for a drawthread, so there's a 95% chance I was using reference, and I know I did for the legs.

>Drawing lines
My linework sucks alright

>Form
>Perspective
>Anatomy
>Lighting
>Material behavior
I've actually studied and practiced all of this.
The drawing of the girl in the jumpsuit was just a less than successful work.

>tfw I have a bachelor's degree in fine arts as a sculpture major

6th mastery Cirno 2lewd

Requesting a young imperial inquisitor who looks like he's in his twenties wearing a formal suit like in the pic. And he is also wearing an officer's cap with the inquisitorial emblem in it, he also is holding a lewd alien porn book which he of course uses for "Inquisitorial Research."

Playing with sculpture, I think, helped me visualize forms better. You'll probably have less of a problem with certain aspects of drawing than those of us who came at it from a purely 2D approach.

Not going to knock your education, because you might have come from a great school. But most artists I know who got an arts degree learned from dumb hippies who scoffed at the idea of stifling creativity by teaching fundamentals or were students of dumb hippies and never learned fundamentals themselves, so...

I didn't know half of those were done by the same artist. That's some exceptional work. Thanks.

You're a fucking sculpture major and that's the best you can draw? Holey moley am I glad I didn't fall for the art major scam.

hey.

Taking simple/unsettling requests. Crude weapons are fine too.
i am outright fond of your style. a true definition of simple yet elegant style.

>that's the best you can draw?
What would make you think that?

I had one painting professor who actively worked against attractive art and loved amateur attempts at surrealist crap but did have constructive exercises like self portraits working from bizarrely angled poloroids that force you to look at your anatomy another way and building your own frame and stretching the canvas yourself so you appreciate the value of it more than if you just bought one.
The best thing my drawing professor did was take us to the zoo to draw.

how about a owl? they can be unsettling

I will try.

OC thread if you want to expand the character art

But what if I'm only a dick to the artists that don't deliver commission-tier art that I feel like I'm entitled too because I've had to repost three times?

Can I request this sci-fi officer punching a typical evil wizard or an elf spellcaster in the face? Just the sci-fi officer giving a straight honest to god punch to the evil wizard's/elf magic user's jaw with some teeth flying out.

Hello! I would like to request my Valhallan Sharpshooter. Simply standing with her Las rifle at the ready. smiling and wearing the typical Coat, fur hat and fuzzy boots ensemble.
I am very new to drawing Characters, and I'd like an interpretation from someone else to see it from a new perspective

Holy shit user, did you draw that? If so, that's really impressive.

Yes I did! Thank you very much!

Sorry.

I mean, frankly user, with skills like that I'd love to see your take on some of the requests in this thread.

Also I'm super jealous of people who know how to shade cause I cannot get that shit to look right no matter how hard I try dammit

thanks a lot

works for me, thanks man

I'd be happy to! I can also teach you how I shade.
I cheat a little though.
Show in pic is the zoom in on the neck, this program is great because you can just zoom right in and still do a tonne of detail work, so I get a tiny brush and three colours. The base, and two shades darker of the base.
Then I just do Pic.
Other times I get flat brush, set transparency to like 10%, and black. Go over till satisfied.

Make sure you space out your other 2 requests or else people will get suspicious again ;-)

Which program do you use? I have a tablet, but the only program I've got is GIMP and it's kinda limiting in a lot of ways.

Moved to PC.
I use an IPad Program Called Adobe Ideas,
i do have a Bamboo tablet, but im very bad at it.
The program itself is very limited in terms of tools. (there is only Pencil. Pain Brush. Highlighter, Pen. Eraser and something else.)
Otherwise i sometimes do Pixel work in MSP.
Though the program i recommend for PC stuff is what someone sent me, Paint tool Sai.
from what i got from it. it was a good program,
I just found difficulty with the pen tablet thing.

...

That was the idea, yes. I was listening to hydrogen.

should i try Wrong number?

I am also getting tired, so i will go to sleep.
Good night Kind user who likes my sharp shooter.

If you want more Hotline Miami 1, no.
If you want more Hotline Miami, sure.

I didn't like Wrong Number as much because it kind of went away from the fast paced neon murderfest of the first, but still felt that it was a good addition to the series/story

thanks user.

Is PersonMcName still around?

I'd like to request my Wh40kRPG DH2e Acolyte Rasef Badru. This might seem like a bunch but it's really just giving the option of either heavy armor or light/daily armor style. Don't worry about including any weapons, shields, or etc unless you want to; those are very likely to change frequently until later.

First, face and build
>old soldier vibe, tired and world weary
>face like a slightly aged up mix between Ocelot and Basch in the upper left corner
>hair and beard should be dark and peppered, also a bit messy and unkempt, beard like Basch, hair around shoulder length or a bit shorter
>skin tone should be a medium tan to dark olive tone, I'm basing him around Egyptian skin range
>eye color is up to you

Everyday
>Something of a mix of the bottom left images
>pauldrons preferred, even if they're only part of the jacket
>colors would be blues and golds for the most part
>jacket design would be some general Imperium style designs save for the circle parts
>circle parts feature an emblem with the Golden Throne in the background and a sword planted into the ground in the foreground, vague depiction is fine here
>hat would be nice, hair would be pulled back in a loose ponytail for this outfit
>armor like pieces fully up to artist
>gold sash is important, would be under jacket

Full Battle Rattle (all right side images)
>blue and gold colors again
>gold sash still important
>something like a modified version of the imperial guard armor towards the other images
>helm would be held
>hair would be loose in this
>no visible emblems needed here
>otherwise style to taste

If there are any questions, comments, concerns, or WiP's posted I will try to respond within 12 hours. My schedule is rather busy coming up though so if I don't, I will definitely do so within 24.

I will not be bumping this request, though I will repost it in every thread I catch until complete.

PS: He will be active duty as of tomorrow, guaranteed.

This one humbly requests Shax and Blue giving the highest of fives.

Requesting a drawing of a satyr getting bum rushed by six very large wolves while pic related looks on in the background in stoic disappointment.

Satyr is an even 4 ft tall while the armored dude is about 6'3".

For those wondering, the Satyr is my party's bard while the armored dude is my fighter tank. They don't see eye to eye, often over matters of tactics and morals. We were confronted by a pack of larger than normal wolves, the Satyr thought he could charm the beasties and avoid a fight altogether. The results are what I'd like to see drawn.

Please and thank you, Drawfriends.

can i have the female version of lorian (the bigger guy) ?

Can I get an image similar to the one on the left featuring the character and his kitten along to the right. Preferably from the side of his face that does not have an eye patch on it.

you cheeky cunt

Requesting a desert elf warrior king. He is wearing black armour, with a purple sash, a white cloak and crown like in the pic in the middle. There is a sun design somewhere on his armour (chest or arm, or on the cloak).

He has yellow eyes with a dark sclera.

Requesting a Xenomorph hybrid woman, similar to the leftmost reference but with the nose covered as well and a smaller crest, perhaps one quarter the size shown. Legs/feet done in the style of the middle pic, digitigrade resulting in natural "high heels". And then batlike wings as shown.

Overall I'd like something that while clearly based on a female form, is a little too monstrous to be a monstergirl. All that's left of human features being a mouth which is still filled with too sharp and silvery of teeth.

How about a plague doctor holding a skull and studying it intently?

I'm playing a character I'd like a picture of. She's a pale Asian human oracle/cleric with white clothes. She doesn't actually use weapons, just magic. Perpetually slightly annoyed because the rest of her party is idiots and she has to be the mom.

i will try.

Requesting an elf wrestler.

She wears a feline luchador mask and dresses like WWE's Lita back in her Team Extreme days. Shes going to be a high flying, fast striking, risk taker.

Got a monster fight request for a kind drawfriend;

Soldier in pic is trying to fight the monster and is in trouble of loosing. The monster has a long tentacle like tongue that it uses to ensnare its prey. The soldier is wielding an MP5 or a 1911 pistol as well as her knife having CQC training.
