Are there any good one-player board games?

Are there any good one-player board games?

Kingdom Death

But seeking refugee in vidya would be probably both easier and cheaper.

Pocket Pool is pretty fun for when you're on the go.

There's quite a lot of war strategy games that can be played solitaire. I remember seeing one submarine wargame that was purely solitaire. Was going to buy it as a Christmas present to my dad, but somebody had bought the only copy the next time I came to the store.

Just download Tabletop Simulator on Steam. It actually runs board games pretty well. I play a lot of heroquest and expanded versions of it, now.

Board games are expensive?

A copy of Kingdom Death goes for about a thousand dollars, on ebay.

It depends.
But Kingdom Death in particular is.

Mageknight

Masturbation.

Idea:
Write an adventures book, stuff depends on how well dice rolls.

The COIN series has ai rules.

Oh man, no lie? Hero Quest is a thing on there? I played that like 15 years ago as a kid with my older brother. My first time being exposed to any DnD related game

The Hunters (WW II Sub warfare game)
Nations
Xenoshyft
(Upcoming) Nemo
Space Empires 4x
Pandemic
Robinson Crusoe
Exodus Proxima Centauri
D&D games like 'Wrath of Ashardalon'
Legendary Encounters: Aliens
Gears of War

In short there are a butt-load of really good games with solo options or are purely solo.

That'd be something you do with a solo RPG, of which there are quite a few, but OP wanted board games specifically.

The Mage Knight Board Game is also single player.

Go ask around here but also:

Soviet Dawn
Cuba Libre
Fire in the Lake
Andean Abyss
A Distant Plain
Churchill
Maquis (has phone app)
We Must Tell the Emperor (near impossible to find, but great)
Malta Besieged (as above)
B-17: Queen of the Skies (hard to find, but you can fish out the files and print your own)
Imperial Settlers
Zulus on the Ramparts
Flash Point: Fire Rescue
Something-something Pathfinder Adventure Card Game?

Actually, that's a neat idea. I'd be more than happy to write a randomly generated book based on dice rolls.

I just thought of something.

Has anyone ever ran an entire game by themselves?

Been GM, been the party and been the NPCs and the world?

I get that you wouldn't catch yourself out on any intriguing plot twists (unless you has some issues) or reveals but surely dice rolls factoring in would provide for some unpredictability and you can role the characters as per their personality and try to put yourself in there shoes.

Seems doing in my head, but, you can't enjoy it with anyone else.

Anyone tried?

You might as well just write a fucking book at that point desu senpai.

Yeah but then I'd actually have to write a nicely structured book and that would take ages.

Ugh, I suppose I could.
