THIS THREAD HAS ALSO BEEN FOTIFIED!

2nd for GK

This thread needs bingo! The free tile for today is: BUSTY CENTAUR ABHUMAN ROUGH RIDERS

This is a beautiful pic, gj user. That being said, I need pics of the new Scions Formation from the starter box.

It's still not out. Go follow the thread on B&C or refresh Bell of Lost Souls once a day.

>Filename and OP pic.
I see what you did there.

>refresh Bell of Lost Souls once a day.
I'd rather shoot myself

So I recently started the game and built 500 points of IG and now I find them really boring and not as much of my style as I wanted.

Now I am looking into Ravenwing or White Scars and I can't decide. Using Ravenwing and Deathwing does sound like a fun concept.

I have a fairly active shop and my friend is part of the big group of 40k players so I can potentially face any army besides Eldar which I have been told isn't represented.

Do you think I could trigger /k/ if I posted a pic of a Taurox?

...

Dark Angels a shit
Go for White Scars

Also consider yourself lucky, Eldar are the most OP army right now

So I thought of some fluff for my Alpha Louisiana Women.
No one knows when this heretical cult of ominicidal women emerged, but rumors put their emergence at the end of the Old Night or during the Great Crusade. They most certainly fought for Horus during his heresy, and vent their laments of the death of their dear Warmaster by destroying all that is related to the Imperial Cult. Their equipment ranges from Imperial weapons stolen off the battlefield, armaments forged within the Eye of Terror, or even looted alien tech when the mood strikes them. They mimic heavily armored regiments of the Imperial Guard, but almost seemingly have more in common with Orks in terms of tactics. This contrasts with their highly civilized demeanor, but that may be just a facade.

They recruit by enslaving Imperial women from raids, or by producing new recruits by means of cloning or by a ritual that requires pieces of flesh of two or more participants. The last two are preferred methods as the Alpha Louisiana Women have a vow of chasity that if broken is punishable by death, and view women who have sex to be lower than Chaos Spawn.

Most of this makes clear sense, but can someone explain the "orks aren't a melee army" thing?

>I 2

To ensure a turn two Outflanking arrival of my fliers one of these two HQs pictured will have to be alone till it joins a unit or dies.

This is for a Pure Ravenwing list so there should be a good spread of bikers for the HQs to join upon entry.

Which would you choose?

It basically boils down to:

Shrouded Librarian on a Bike with ML 2 and a 5+ FnP for 120pt

Techmarine on Bike with 2+/4++ with a servo pack but when he passes a save blind tests units within 6"

Ravenwing are a much more elite army than white scars which may make it tough for low points, also they have a pretty cookie cutter build so you would get SM variety from WS. However RW can be played very aggressively and pack quite the punch.

>Dark Angels a shit

Yeah, alright curzefag.

Very true, but melee is literally the only thing they're consistently good at. Even if all tau had BS2 for some reason, they sure as shit wouldn't start being a melee army.

You know, even if they gave all tau BS2, would it effect their shooting ability one bit?

With all the template weapons, TL weapons, and markerlights I've commonly seen tau players shoot at BS 6+ anyway.

Did a slut touch you in a bad way or something?

>Abhuman Prom

Oh boi

>wolves go rogue and murder the Thousand Sons
>instead of suffering an repercussions, Malcador sends groups of Wolves to suspiciously loiter near all the loyalist primarchs
Is there someone at Black Library trying to make the Wolves the cringiest legion?

Nightlords a shit

>Abhuman Prom edition

I swear that said 'Album Porn'

No. I wanted psychotic chaste women.

I'm rather happy seeing this

She wouldn't be half as kawaii if she had her mouth open.

Well, might work on the phrasing some but go for it otherwise.

Can confirm. Last two games I would fire at one or two units with full units of pathfinders. Entire rest of army (maneuvering into proper firelanes of course) would fire at the poor bastards without cover saves, most of the time at BS6-BS7. 1000 pts.

You're a shit

...

How do I phrase it right? I'm not a bright man I think.
Goblin Sharks aren't made to be cute. God made them to remind us that he's willing to put the monsters Jesus drew to go on the fridge in our oceans, and that we have no place there.

Are IG Special Weapon teams worth the points in any way? I feel like the BS3 is a huge letdown for anything youd want to give them plus no transport.

I'm not a scary shitter

Curzefag, I'm genuinely curious, how do you run your Night Lords?

I've run them as Black Legion, Crimson Slaughter, Khorny Daemonkid, and Space Marines but they always work best and most thematically with the Space Marine codex somehow.

>implying he plays the game

He's like Carnac.

My wishlist for next round of codex's is tau with BS2, and orks with I2 and to let their other rules work with those stats somehow.

demolition charges all the way home

Vanilla CSM

Do you take forgeworld?
I want to believe.

Hey, atleast Pelagers actually have a use in the imperium then those knife ear ontop of head abomination that should be purged like the rest of the knife ears.

It's the last sentence I think, enslavement and rituals are a given for chaos but the reasons they hate women who have had sex are kinda missing.

I was under the impression that Pelagers were essentially mermaids.

Nah

>the reasons they hate women who have had sex
He's ace and wants to insert his smug sense of superiority into everything he creates

Which army best represents the protagonists of Joust?

My mistake. Let me rethink it. They believe that having sex would take away from serving the Gods.

Dont you feel like a jackass though? Playing a silly game with such advantages over most your opponents.

All of the guys Im friends with shelfed their Tau except when appropriate.

Rouge trader street sharks.

Sup Curzefag. Im finishing up a Scion Kill Team this week, next up is a First Claw Kill Team. I post in /wip/, sometimes in /40kgen/. Id love for you to see them. Late next week theyll be far enough along for some pics. Maybe 2 weeks.

>Rouge

Yes, in a way. Speculation is that they were either modified genetically or adapted to survive ocean worlds. I think there is some random line of fluff that makes them out to be good navigators too. Although, they are the closest thing to current day sharks in the galaxy. The next thing close would be Saharduin who share to genetic relation to humans or terran sharks.

Isnt that a huge 60pt sink on top of their cost though?

So we know that abhumans must be close enough to terrans to be allowed into the Imperium but does it ever talk about how close to humans they have to be to be Marines?

Is it up to Nostoman levels, or can marines be recruited with full-on cat ears?

I think the genetic structure would complicate things seeing as abhumans move away from their human origins. Even though technically geneseeds should work, they would have to be heavily modified to accommodate the change in genetic structure and the extra organs might have to be modified to suit the host body.

tl;dr Unless the Emperor himself comes back from the dead or some heretic with the intelligence of magnus decodes geneseeds and learns how to make/edit them, no.

I'm not sure if it was intentional or not.

I believe so, it says if they deviate too much from the human strain they don't survive the transformation. The Emperor designed it for human biology only, not abhumans.

Me too, I wasn't sure if it was a subtle hint at sex workers. I hoped it wasn't, cause this is Veeky Forums and we fought a long and costly war against furfaggotry.

If I run the Infernal Tetrad and roll on Strategic Traits and get Divide to Conquer, does my opponent automatically fail reserves rolls while all 4 of my daemon princes are alive?

If I get Master of Ambush my 12 units in my army can infiltrate?

Reserve rolls always succeed on a 6

Master of Ambush only effects non-vehicle infantry

Not seeing where it says a 6 always succeeds. It says a 1 always fails. Was this in an FAQ?

>So we know that abhumans must be close enough to terrans to be allowed into the Imperium but does it ever talk about how close to humans they have to be to be Marines?

The thing about "abhumans" is that they're stable sub-species of human beings, and are only tolerated because their particular species is of some use to the Imperium (Ogryns are probably the most physically powerful non-altered, biological humanoids in the setting, Ratlings are some good-ass snipers and cooks, etc.). They are technically deviant from the base Human genome, but their deviance is within acceptable parameters to not merit total obliteration.

Trying to get abhumans into Space Marine ranks is an entirely different matter altogether. 99% of base humans don't qualify for Space Marine augmentation processes, and probably 50% of those who DO qualify for Space Marine candidacy are killed or crippled by the rigorous and incredibly demanding toll becoming a Space Marine entails. Becoming a Space Marine requires not only a perfect human genome for all organs and augmentations to take properly (and they still often won't in even a perfectly healthy individual) but also a sharp mind and powerful will to endure the hell the process takes on the mind, body and soul. Attempting to bring Abhumans into the genetic modification program as set by the Emperor dangerously risky move that plays Emperor with science AT BEST, and in reality is outright heresy by anybody who's informed in the matter in-universe.

Also, why on Earth would the noble Space Marines dare to sully their chapter with impure candidates?

GIVE ME A PLASTIC DREADCLAW GW U FUCKING FAGGOTS

>Also, why on Earth would the noble Space Marines dare to sully their chapter with impure candidates?
Ask the Space Wolves.

I'd rather have plastic dildo-bikes

Adhumans also must breed true. As in, two must be able to produce an offspring that is the same as their parents. If they don't, then they are likely tainted and get killed.

Also, you don't need to be strong or healthy to become a Space Marine.

My question was not if they allow abhumans, it's how far from the terran strain could they be?

We know Fenrisians and Nostroman's are just a tad removed from the human strain.

>This is GW's idea of a starter Eldar army

>there's no wraithknights

just need to pick up a couple of these plus a couple wraithknights and I'm all set! xd

Do Tau Cadres include the logistic component (drones, communications, food, ammunition, mechanics etc.)?

Or are there independent Earth Caste Logistic Cadres and Water Caste Signal Cadre ready to be assembled to form Hunting Contingents?

Same question with Imperial Guard Regiments. How different armies deliver ammunition/food/radio?

>he
Curzefag is a girl user

The ships that the IG travel on are large enough to house several farms and possibly a couple manufactorums.

No idea about the Space Commie Weebs.

Well, must not like nurgle then

>why is a 'start collecting' box only the start of an army?!?!?!?!

Don't you mean Slaanesh?

should have been 10 guardians and 10 rangers

Being mentally ill =! girl.

I'll believe it when HE shows me his time stamped tits, at least then I can pretend he's biologically a girl. Tripfag on /sp/ did it once, turned out he was on HRT.

Aren't they 'old' models? As in, pretty old? I was under the impression the starter boxes were with new and newish models?

Honestly, some could be closer to humans than space marines.

They're Undivided. All Gods are worshipped equally.

>not picking a side

Lel. Enjoy losing the Great 'Game'.

Undivided is Chaos at its full glory, m8. That way you can more choices for dinobots.

is having your wife turned into a robot arm something the admech would approve or disapprove of?

>is your wife also your robotic arm
Fixed and that is something they'd approve of.

what is this

Well, that dips into how much of her is machine.
They have something of a breaking point when it seems like A.I.

Bionic commando

It's from Kauyon, so it looks like they ignored supply lines in favor of the "exciting" stuff.

not much, my guess is they made it like a very simple machine spirit. it's never explained in the game

So the arm wasn't a person previously?

Admech don't approve of you being married.

Best loadouts for Wraithknights and Wraithlords? My list is kind of strapped for points but I want to make sure my big boys are worth their cost.

Is there any piece of fiction that takes into account that a more than half of the army should be logistics? It is even more strange when the Tau are said to prioritise attack enemy logistics and communications centres.

The "wife" is actually a lathe

Have you tried sticks?

Honestly kind of. I started playing very recently and I chose the army before I knew what beat what. My choice of the Tau was based entirely on looks and fluff. I do wish that GM knew what balance is, because the Tau are very unbalanced.

That being said, this was my first time not playing my Necron friend (this game was IG) and coincidentally also my first time winning.

Why not? Surely they would consider it a logical thing to do? Binding people to each other with a spiritual pact that reduces their chances of causing mental damage to either party?

user, while I share the same opinions on the topic of delusional faggots, there is literally no indication of curzefag being crazy.
Well, besides the fact that she likes the night lords

i thought the admech all had toaster waifus

probably not. he had the arm when he killed not-hitler and saved the world then got married. some time in the 10 years he's in jail the wife gets used as material for the arm. my guess is the wife never existed just so they could fuck the bionic commando over more

Is this meant to be helpful information?
