I suppose the two memes of these threads would make a good couple.

The text for the witch option (where it says Compassion & Mystery) is a little bit on the hard to read side where it intersects with the background image. It isn't as tricky on the blue side but the purple doesn't seem to filter it out enough. I mean, I was still able to read it fine. It just wasn't quite as pleasant as it could be.
There's a typo in Elder Master: r esponsibilities. It should be easy to see b/c it was word-wrapped.

Hmm... I think Wandering Mistress is the most exciting Master. I care more about the Master-familiar bond than running around with other familiars. As much as I'm tempted to go with a monkey for hands, I think I'd have to pick cat for the classic aesthetic. Either way, mammal is the best regular option.

>wanting Angelanon to get anything ever

Big Crimson for life!

>not picking the shonen hero Rictor Mortis

Fucking faggots as far as the eye can see.

He's already taken, though.

Pressuring poor Ren once again, just to say that I want Urban witch. Since I agree that you need to keep them balanced, Tinker mage or maybe some kind of Sorcery harnessing innate magic (learned witchery, basically).

>Poor man's One Shot Johnny

>he

Angelanon is a womanchild user

Talking about SDA.

I think it's rather sad that Angelanon is likely a man hating lesbian do to being sexually abused as a child. It even makes me feel a little bad for being so hard on her. But apparently Quiet just thinks it's hot.

She really is. Childhood abuse might explain her immaturity as well as her sex hangups.

>One Shot Johnny
> Not fucked by Bumpsy & Donny "THE DOME" Richardson in everyway imaginable

Is it just me or do the first five, Randal, and Grandguard all seem really bad?
At the very least because of the meta.

>Something something if my guy is faster than your guy you'll never hit him ever at all and all the attack power in the world is meaningless

>At least that's the stated logic

>Implying One-Shot Johnny doesn't out speed and KO everything

Do you think she meant to include herself in or was it just incidental?

>might explain her immaturity as well as her sex hangups
Yeah, that's immediately what I thought when I read .

Is that actually a picture of her? Yes.

We've been over that her Magical Realm RP forum avatar was her doing a really good impression of pic.

>Implying Ether Rex won't tap into his untold powers when he's close to death and bring about a catacylsm

>Implying the Special stat isn't a measure of how "Special" they are.
>As in how short their bus is, etc.

...

Spooky psychic child OC I mentioned last thread is done. Five pages, at least, might do a 6th.

...but it's 4am I'm going to bed, so will post it tomorrow instead.

Oh here's the new thread. Anyway. Finished the first page of the CYOA. It's here.
Now to address concerns

Yeah that's an unfortunate side effect of the design I decided to settle on. And also a side effect of how familiars work. Since I decided to lump mundane familiars into broad categories, their section to pick one wound up being small. Whereas Improved Familiars have a plethora of unique options between them that can't really be generalized.

THAT BEING SAID. The freedom to choose three perks for regular familiars is a nice advantage over going improved. Improved Familiars get one perk to choose from, in addition to their locked three, meaning if you don't like the perks they come with, you're out of luck.

Also there is gonna be a perk on Page 2: Progidy, that lets a younger witch or wizard take an improved familiar, at the cost of losing the free perk choice and a "time penalty" that locks out your Focus.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can do.

>Angelanon is likely a man

Fixed that for you.

One of these days you're gonna have to accept there's girls on the internet, you know?

You must have missed the recent pics.

>We've been over that her Magical Realm RP forum avatar was her doing a really good impression of pic.
People have said that, but nobody bothered to take screencaps, so I was doubtful. I did find it funny that people were teasing her for "dressing like a dyke" when she's said she's a lesbian all this time.

Maybe people were holding out hope for a lipstick lesbian.

Formatting is not great, but here ya go

Inb4 user asks for picks and other Anons play hard to get

There are also tons of female impersonators, and they tend to act very similarly.

I saw. Before I was pretty sure but now I know for certain. If you want to keep RPing that's cool, I just want to make sure people who legitimately don't know don't get the wrong idea.

Bumpsy all the way

Alright, spruced up page 1. Fixed that typo, and thickened the box colors. Also added more background art because I forgot to scout for that shit. Resuming work on Page 2.

Who cares? You can't prove it either way and you've got nothing to gain from it, you just want to feel 'smart' for calling someone on when you think you're right. It's just pointless.

> do to being sexually abused as a child

I love how people always seem to think that there needs to be a reason for gay people to be gay, I mean, what girl couldn't possibly prefer female aesthetics to male ones? It's illogical, I mean, even men themselves would probably prefer if women looked like men instead! Am I right guys, who needs silly frail-weak looking girls things when you can have a burly raspy-voiced bear of a manly man with you in bed?

You might want to read the start of the convo luv. Your ignorance is showing.

The Sexuality section is exactly the same on both World and Personal.

This looks interesting. Looking forward to perks and more.

Also just noticed the typo in Voidworm, it's minor and I just fixed it. Will release it next thread, probably.

user...I hate to say it, but I think you're a faggot. Don't worry, most people can still live perfectly normal lives.

>Before I was pretty sure but now I know for certain.
Then you must have some inside info the rest of us are missing. I'd say pic related (not my creation btw) pretty much sums it up.

You're right. Have a nice day.

The Aspiring Student is described as "15 or so" but the Waifish Orphan is not given an age. The Wandering Mistress also doesn't have a specific age while the Adult Mage is in his 20s. Because no age is specified I would like to believe greater variability is possible, but should I instead assume it is the same?

Aside from the typo, I like the way you wrote the name "Void Worm" in the title better than "voidworm." Writing it as two separate words looks better to me, like "dire wolf" or "polar bear" or "mountain lion."

Hey, I like it so far. I haven't seen page 2 yet, so maybe I'm making an ass of myself here, but you call Wisps guides and seem to put a bit of emphasis on that. However, they don't have the Guide perk.

Again, I haven't seen page 2. So for all I know, Guide is about being better at teaching magic or something, but it seems like something the Wisps should get, yeah?

Anyone have any cyoas that deal with daughterus or sonus?

Can anyone post the transcribed text of Remaker (the blurred option in one of Quiet's spoilers)? I started to puzzle it out, but realized I'm a lazy fucker and gave up.

1 in beauty So I can get:
1 in shapeshifter (And turn back to normal)
1 in superpower(Regeneration)
1 in magical races(Succubus)
1 in Ordinary

That is all.

Yeah, I only gave general age categories. The academy's a little stringent in that freshmen have to be around that age before they can get accepted, generally (most people start High School at ages 14/15, at least in 'murica). And the Mage has already done all that studying crap, so he'd be in his 20s.

Witches don't have such luxuries as academies, and their magic is a more personal journey.

Yes the setting of the CYOA is a little sexist. I think it's more interesting that way.

Ah, I was gonna consolidate it to one word in the title but I guess I forgot to when I was putting the text in. Adding the space will be easier though, so I'll just do that.

They're loosely based off of Will'o'the'wisps from common folklore and Pixar's "Brave." And trust me, they don't guide you to "safe" places. Which is what the Guide perk does.

...

Remake/better version never ever.

Awww

Just a quick lore question: If I do not choose an option that makes me an improved familiar, am I doomed to one day be abandoned as my master outgrows me? Or is it possible to grow in power alongside them? Just wondering as both Elder Master and Wizened hag discuss getting rid of their old familiar.

But there were pics like 2 threads ago.

First, they might not be in a situation where they need a more powerful familiar (low responsibility/conjuration specialist/etc.), and just let you do you.
Second, the Improved Familiar is a thing if you make yourself more (magically or emotionally) valuable than a potential other familiar.
Even if both of these fail, you could still visit your old master to talk with and/or harass them.

>Improved Familiar
Er, Mystical familiar. Not sure how I got that wrong.

>Super powerful titan
> mediocre powers
Other than the powers this cyoa is pretty good and has alot of potential

What this guy said: More or less nails it on the head. Also, from a pure mechanics standpoint, I've played like 3 Wizards in D&D and not once did I ever take the Improved Familiar feat. Generally because I get pretty fucking attached to my birds.

Is there a size limit on reptiles or can I be an old wise semi-large tortoise

Hey, man, good to see you. Question: The CYOA says that witches are feared and shunned. How hard would it be to find a which like Nanny Ogg - everyone respects them, they're more or less the mother of the entire community, and they can and will tear you up one mountain and down another even without magic if you hurt one of their boys or girls? All I want is a witch who's not quite a matriarch, not necessarily, but she's everyone's friend; people drop by for a cuppa to talk about that neighbor's boy going out with their daughter, or the rot getting into the wheat, or the lamb that won't grow right, and she nods and smiles and sends them on their way with a few cookies...and somehow, things that you talked about with her just turn out better. Or maybe less melodramatic, less magic, and more helpfulness - have you ever seen Kiki's Delivery Service?

(Apologies, I read through the Discworld series again lately. Wyrd Sisters is a good one.)

Also, to continue heaping the pressure and abuse on you, I'm going to repost both the Urban and Tinker witch/wizard Focuses. Because I really want this. Also, I apparently lost them, but I'll rewrite them.

>Urban: The urban witch knows that when someone lives somewhere for a very long time, that place takes on a small life, a familiarity. People have been living in cities for centuries, giving them a quiet but very awake mind. The urban witch contemplates this mind, and works its will.
>- Voice of the City: The city doesn't have ears, but it carries voices. You can find them pressed into well-worn cobblestones, or caught in the dust spinners on corners, or carried on the backs of pigeons. You and your master can ask them to give up their treasured words, and if you're nice, they just might.
>- Hearthfire: When you live someplace long enough, it tends to like you if you like it. You and your master love the city, and it loves you back. You can easily scrounge up some leftovers or dropped food if you don't mind scavenging, you'll never be lost so long as you can feel the cobblestones, and you'll always have a quiet place to spend the night as abandoned houses open their doors to you.

Wat are you talking about

Why do you think that guy's the author?

Come on, he obviously accidentally replied to the wrong post

Crap, forgot Tinker.

>Tinker: Purists say that tinkers aren't true wizards. They say that tinkering is merely the process of making ordinary clockwork and adding a little magic to make it go. That's as may be, but the fact remains that your master specializes in it.
>- Tick Tock: By looking at machines, you can easily identify how they work - the more complicated, the better. You can see where a patch of rust needs to be polished off to make it run at full efficiency...or where to drop in a wrench to render the whole thing an immobile mess.
>Magic Eyes: You can see any magic that hangs around an item as a glowing aura in your vision, even through walls. Stare long enough and hard enough, and you may even be able to tease out what the magic does.

Also, y'know...I read the pastebin, and it said you need a few more perks. I've got nothing better to do!
>Power Reservoir (Witch Familiar Only): Most familiars can only act as conduits for their witches, channeling the raw power from their sources into usable energy. You can do more than that - by storing power within you, you can temporarily "supercharge" your master, granting her huge power at the cost of severely draining yourself.
>Spell Checker (Wizard Familiar Only): Sure, your wizard's doing fairly well for himself, but some spells are dangerous if misused. By looking at a spell as it's prepared, you can see any obvious flaws your master missed at a glance, and can pick out some of the less-obvious ones given time. This doesn't tell you anything about how the spell works - you just know what shouldn't be.

Well fuck me running. Meant for

I made this a few days ago and decided to release the software I used to make it. Obviously the software will produce uninspired/sub-par layouts if you only use it, and I understand that, but I figure someone will make good use of it with design skills.

Love you.

Fuck forgot to link it lol

Make a tank version

Do I pick one Danger, or are all of them coming for me at the same time? If the latter then I need to take up my mantle as Tyrant again.

Powers: Protection, Beasts Call

I once used these powers to mass an unstoppable army, invincible both on the battlefield and at rest thanks to my ability to summon barriers and fortresses at will. Now it is time to rally the beastmen to my cause once more. Maybe I had some other powers that I'll remember later if I think about it more.

Daughters: Apple and Dachi

You can't choose your family, you know? But I have no regrets and wouldn't trade them for anyone.

The Great Mother: This is the most straightforward threat to face. To me "cult" sounds like "army" except without good equipment and with inexperienced leaders and without the resources of a country behind it. I don't think I would even need to fully come out of retirement if these clowns were all that was coming after me.

The Black Prince: I respect him, but I'm frankly a bit insulted that he thinks he can afford to send anything but his full forces at me. If he struck with everything he had before I had a chance to rebuild my horde he would have a chance, but as it is, I am going to crush him just like I crushed so many kings. Maybe after it becomes clear to him he has no hope for victory I can compel him to take Apple as his queen; she'd like that I think.

The Adventurers: I know better than to mess with prophecy, but the prophecy doesn't say they beat me, just that we fight and somehow this results in a new era. Maybe after putting on a good show I'll surrender and "release" Apple, and put my armies at their command. This seems like a good backup plan in case the Black Prince is too stubborn to know when he has lost.

(cont)

>14+ slavs will appear out of nowhere and beat the living shit out of your attackers
Dying

I shall unlock the secrets of ether rex.

(cont)

Cursed Sword: This sword has the soul of a Tyrant who lost to a hero? Seems like he was way shittier at his job than I am. A really powerful sword sounds tempting just to see if I am strong enough to master it, but I'm not a young Tyrant anymore. I'll bind that sword and swordsman in chains and drop them both into the ocean.

That Guy: Okay, this guy legitimately scares me. Even in my prime I doubt I could have stopped him. If he gets his hands on Dachi he will wish he hadn't, but poor Apple would be helpless in his hands. It's a good thing there are a bunch of Adventurers from another world. Maybe after our fated duel I can convince them them to go to the elemental temples and collect the orbs to banish him and rescue my daughters. Who knows? Maybe this will be the new era that was foretold.

But I don't know anything about tanks user :'(

...

...

Better get reading, then. When you're done with the tank one make a jet one too, while you're at it.

>her Magical Realm RP forum avatar was her doing a really good impression of pic
Pretty disturbing desu. So why are people still in denial that the chick in AA's pics are her? Looks like they're just salty that she's a 5/10 crazy lesbo instead of some kind of nerdy dream girl.

Okay you got me I'm an aviation autist.

Will be done tomorrow.

...

I don't care about Angel, but If you're going to be a crazy lesbo, you should have the decency to be a 7-10/10 crazy lesbo.

Ether Rex, holy shit that special. Who knows what secrets he could be holding.

If that was her in the slave Leia outfit, then I'd give her a 6/10 for looks, going up to 8/10 for being willing to do kinky stuff while cosplaying as Leia.

I'd giver her a 3-3.5. That smile is creepy as fug.

Well that's because the firs 6 were made first separately and then it was built upon.

For a price, yebanat.

Immortality 2
Little Boy 1
Big Sister & Twin Sister 1 (Little Boy discount)
Magical Girl 1

A nice thing about the Mystery Box version is that in that version the boxes are free.

Status report. Still plowing through Focus. It's slow going, but steady. I'm going to TRY and finish this in the next four hours, since I'm used to going to sleep at 4 AM anyway now. Perks should be relatively quick once I get to them.

In other news, I'm presently designing a new Focus for both the Wizard and Witch based off of what that one user wants. Wizards can Focus in Artifice now, and Witches can Focus on The Alleys.

>the boxes are free
Exactly, user. Which is why it doesn't make sense you get a free boon, that's supposed to be a secret but you actually know what it is.

You don't need to give us constant updates.
Just post it when you feel it's ready.

Is this the only mech cyoa we got?

...

Power Armor is basically a mecha CYOA if you take one of the larger ones.

...

You should change "LBS" in telekinesis desc. on "LBFS" to remove confusion some had before

what said, you can pretty much make mecha with this

>Bumpsy all the way
Right there with you. Bumpsy a best.

Seriously, that was updated in the same damn thread.
