When will they squat this semen slurping faction?

...

>when will they squat this semen slurping game?

Fixed that for you. All GW has left is memes and fan art.

Honestly, as much as we hear about the Sisters of Battle, I kind of want to hear more about the other orders, like the Famulous or the Hospitaller or the Dialogous. We know the SoB's get into all sorts of fights, but what kind of research or goodwill projects are the other girls doing? I figure expanding on that would make for richer lore.

Hospitallier's dealing with a plague that turns out to be nurgle related would be a pretty cool story.

Or, you know, maybe a Famulous who's doing secret agent stuff to forestall a coup/rebellion.

Just stopping 2 rival houses being at each others throats (or putting them at each others throats so one or both come out stronger) would be pretty fun for an intrigue setting.

Then you have their whole "tracking the manifestation of saints" side to them.

The Dialogous are interesting but a bit more difficult to make use of in terms of playing a game focused on them. The information usually gets brought to them rather than them going out into the universe and on the rare occasions they do it's usually well behind the lines on a commlink to the field agents.

Plastic minis when?

Dialogous would be good for, apparently, researching artefacts that come their way and discovering something sinister about it and or whatever forces are coming to retrieve it, possibly conspiracy stuff.

Alternatively, they'd also be good in a story based around diplomacy and stuff. Maybe even with aliens that are willing to talk before shooting shit. Keep a major war from erupting for the sake of a system's stability until the Imperium can arrive in full force or just to prevent an unnecessary conflict in the first place.

kind of a pity since the Sister of Battle creation table is only for the SoB and doesn't really seem to take into account the lesser orders.

...

So why is it like 99% of pictures are of Martyred Lady Order with no helmet? Why so little Argent Shroud Order, or Sacred Rose Order?

>literally who: the "faction"

Are all sisters required to bleach or dye their hair? Or is that only for some orders?

Thta's mostly one order

I think its almost entirely the Martyred Lady Order that has the white wig and bobcut

But then there's like Canoness Agna who is of the Sacred Rose Order but does the white bobcut too

which one was that?

The white hair has no official explanation. Anything else is fanon.
Because the average Battle-Sister has no helmet and Martyred Lady are the poster girls for the faction.

Now, tell me why they always are in the post-Armageddon colour scheme even in depictions that are chronologically before that.

Where are my gunslinger repentias, Blanche?
I'd really like to have errant sisters travelling across the galaxy on penance

Well, nothing prevents us from improving it. What minor/non-militant order would you like to see?

The Adepta Sororitas and the the Ecclesiarchy in general could be fleshed out more, since it's supposed to be one of the 3 big bodies of the imperrium with the Adeptii Terra and Mechanicus.
And the Catholic church is already a clusterfuck, despite being only on one single planet. Can you imagine that shit in the whole galaxy?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hierarchy_of_the_Catholic_Church
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Curia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_See

It was initially only a color scheme thing (for contrast on the minis) that got very very popular. There is no explicit obligation in the fluff.

If GW never goes around plastic sisters, I might get the raging heroes one. But I'm not sure, is it even possible to get them individually and not through some long gone patreon? Is it at least planned to sell boxes of them?

>Well, nothing prevents us from improving it.

I think it'd be better to have a separate table for non-militant orders altogether. Otherwise we risk getting militant and non-militant results mixed in one order.

Soon brothers and sisters...soon....

>Well, nothing prevents us from improving it. What minor/non-militant order would you like to see?

I'd like to see more connections with Dialogous, Hospitaller, and Famulous. Having an order of SoB is nice and all, but sometimes I just want to roll up one of the other orders and see what stuff I can fluff them with. You know, stuff that doesn't always involve shooty killy.

Now prove to me why I should care about the Martyred Lady Order when other orders have way better color schemes and don't have that stupid white bobcut.

Checkmate.

Also why does it look like they have panties on top of their helmets?

Sweet baby jesus! My heart skipped a beat. I'm sure it just means that the guys were olaying with them though, not that they were remaking them ;_;

Limiting ourselves to orders from the codex, using the ones from the RPG, or creating new ones to fit all the roles of the sisters?

>Also why does it look like they have panties on top of their helmets?
Pseudo-sallet. It does look like panties on the sisters.

Is it their panties? That's pretty cute, and probably heretical.

>don't have that stupid white bobcut
Yeah they do. Also they don't. It's not a canon thing, it's preference.

Read the thread.

>still being delusional
Dark Eldar of all codices got a full update. You didn't, and never will.

>Limiting ourselves to orders from the codex, using the ones from the RPG, or creating new ones to fit all the roles of the sisters?

Mostly second, with the third if it's absolutely necessary.

>creating new ones to fit all the roles of the sisters

This sounds good.

Though, keeping one table for militant and another table for non militant may make things slightly easier.

It's not heretical if they do it.

Worst fans, ded "faction".

If you don't like them it's fine, but then why the hell are you here? Does someone force you to read/reply to this thread?

I SHALL KEEP THE FAITH

I wish GW would just squat them already and be done with it.

Their army is a joke and should just be trashed. The insufferable fans ruin the likable fluff.

Now do you understand better, or are you too busy "hot gluing" your pewter models to think?

>The insufferable fans ruin the likable fluff.

And look at you, all in white, helping the case so much. Not.

>projecting this hard

user, really. Now take your (you)s and go.

Alright, let's upgrade the shit outta that table.

1d4chan.org/wiki/Sisters_of_Battle_Order_Creation_Tables
>tables
1 Order Originator
2 Purpose of Order's Founding
3 Order's Flaw
4 Order Demeanour
5 Primary Saint
6 Order's Homeworld
7 Order's Strategy
8 Order Divergence
9 Order's Methods of Worship
10 Order's Size
11 Order's Allies
12 Order's Enemies

What should we change to fit with the less martial theme ?

>Non-militant orders
Famulous (majordomos)
Dialogous (translators and scribes)
Hospitaller (nurses)
Sabine (missionaries, exploring new worlds and converting savages)
Pronatus (retrieving/studying/keeping relics)
Planxilium (processionals?) rpg
Vespila (morticians) rpg
Madriga (choirs) rpg

We had an ordo tectorius in a game (architects and courriers), but I hadn't found it elsewere, so it was probably a creation of the GM.

>Others non-battle roles of the Sororitas (IIRC, tell me if I'm wrong or have missed something) :
Keeping shrines and church premises.
Escorting/Guiding pilgrims.
Educating people at the Schola Progenium.
Serving as concubines for high-ranked cardinals.
Detecting and investigating heresy, sedition and witchcraft (since Rogue Trader).

And probably a whole lot of roles filled by nuns IRL.

I don't play sisters, or discuss them often. So I'd like to do so without it inevitably coming back to the same tired sex jokes.

It's not my job to unfaggot you people.

>Educating people at the Schola Progenium
No.

The Drill Abbots have got this, fuck off. There are more people in the Ministorum than your waifus.

Anyone have examples of Sororitas with an ancient Egyptian aesthetic?
I'm too poor to buy a new army right now, but I've been really wanting to develop a Sororitas force with colors and detailing that has a real classical egyptian feel to it. Lots of golds, azure blue, white linen, etc.
To me, the style would really be a great way to make sisters distinct and have them venerate the Emperor as a stand-in sun god.

So, imitate Thousand Sons colors?

Who could resist this sistas?

Thousand Sons don't incorporate white as a base, only as an accent as far as I've seen, whereas I would be using blue as an accent.
One problem that would require a shitton of greenstuff is getting the ornamentation right. I'm not quite confident in my sculpting skills. It would take a lot of trial an error.

Is that what you're looking for ?

Pretty sure the sisters in Cain's books train the recruits alongside the Drill Abbots at the Schola.

>ancient Egyptian aesthetic
What a new and interesting idea.

No one has ever done this before.

Pretty sure the fucking MT codex supercedes Flashman 40k: This time he's actually a hero despite that ruining the joke.

Both Thousand Sons and Newcrons have a vague splash of pseudo Egyptian flavor; that's pretty obviously not what the user is going for.

You're right. This time it's GIRLS with a vague splash of pseudo Egyptian flavor. Totally different.

Beret a qt.

>why does it look like they have panties on top of their helmets?

GODDAMMIT! I will never unsee that.

>What should we change to fit with the less martial theme ?
Table 1: Order
Famulous 1-2
Dialogous 3-4
Hospitaller 5-6
Sabine 7
Pronatus 8
Other 9-10

Table 2: Why was the order founded?
Divination - "We shall likely have need of Sisters in this system, at this time, create that Order!" 1-4
Counter - "The streets are full of sick people! Found an Hospitaller Order!" "But it'll take 50 ye-" "Do it!" 5-6
Standing Force - "This area doesn't have sufficient spiritual guidance, found an order!" 7-8
Crusade - "We need people running around and doing the Emperor's work. Found an Order!" 9-10

You sound really angry user.
I'm sorry if you had a bad day.

Drill abbots are not the only teachers in a Schola. They are the ones that whip the new cadets into shape for the first half of training, before the cadets are assigned to their specialization.

Eventually, cadets are moved to smaller classes with specialized in a specific set of training; Tempestus, Sororitas, Commissars, Arbites, etc.

Sisters and Priests are also involved.
Teaching at the Schola is pretty much retirement for a Sister.

On graduation from the Schola, girls who meet the criteria are selected to go train as Sororita Novicates, this isn't part of Schola training itself.

Unless GW retconned it. Again.

I know it's the case for most, at least. I know the Cain case exists, too.

Of course, this could be a mix of "49k is so big it could be either," and, "depends on the writer."

My personal take on Cain as a source, especially in regards to the Sisters, is to ignore it completely.

>or discuss them often

Actually, you shitpost in literally every SoB thread that gets made. I know it's you because you use the same tired rhetoric each time.

Seriously, who the fuck pissed in your cornflakes? What happened, did a Sisters player rape your dog or something?

...

The way this guy drew his 40k females made them super cute

Does anyone has pics of plain and/or battle-scarred SoBs?
As much as I like beautiful women, I find it strange that the ministorum only recruits cuties and pays for reconstructive surgery (unless all the ugly ones are required to wear their helmet at all times).

The table is coming more slowly that I thought, since non-militants orders are very diverse. I'll post it tomorrow, probably in a new thread since I don't see this one surviving the night.

Probably has some STC for facial surgery which would explain why they all look similar. Beyond that do you want uggo's representing our God-Emperor and shaming him thusly?

>Others non-battle roles of the Sororitas

Researching old texts, community outreach, fundraising events, medical care

as for the roll table, why not make it out of 100 so that famulous, dialogous, and hospitaller get the majority of it, and sabine and pronatus get equally small percentage, and other gets the least percent probability.

Like,
1-25 Hospitaller
26-50 Dialogous
51-75 Famulous
76-85 Sabine
86-95 Pronatus
96-100 Other

I kind of want to RP a SoB, or even a Hospitaller.

isn't there Dark Heresy for that?

pissing contests are great

I have no idea honestly, I know bits and pieces of Warhammer 40k but nothing about its systems, books or lore.

"even in doubt, I shall keep faith"

A man who has nothing, still has faith.

Is that supposed so be Sacred Rose? I thought SR was white and red, not silver?

Regardless, that's my paint scheme. Originally, I used it because I would ally them with my GKs back in 3rd, but now I go with it because I don't want to strip and repaint all my models. I should probably do that because if heavy paint, but meh. No one around me plays anymore anyway.

Also, found this one for you.

Yes, it's from the Shield of Baal books.

Oh cool. I might actually lighten up my armors, then and go with that. They're currently Boltgun, so I'm afraid it'll be too dark at the end.

Delet this "faction"

I'm playing a Famulous in a DH2.0 game. She's proven a lot of fun and honestly the sneakiest member of the group. That and just throwing stupid amounts of money at problems.

Man, there really needs to be more SOBs with Berets.

If you guys like female miniatures in power armor just switch to Infinity, you'll be happier.

I just love the beret head from statuesque-miniatures.
Wish I had more time to properly finis my sister army.

Side note 6 Pentient Engines in 1000 points games makes people say SoB are overpower.

I kinda want to, but no one plays it around here.

Its not the same

Quite funny how this faction polarize the most love/hate beside elves, that is

I love the Sisters, got a whole army of them, but they're kinda boring to play, which is a little disappointing. They're very much a "stand and shoot" army for the most part. I suppose Dominions help that a bit, but because their codex is so outdated right now, they're lacking the quirks other armies have.

If they at least got some formations, I think that would help boost my interest.

Are 3 man teams a normal thing in Warhammer?

So I'm playing an untouchable sister in a DH game, which faction of the Sororitas would she belong to if she hunted psykers? I said hospitaller because they seem like they would handle mutant outbreaks.
