First for how to improve 40k art in one simple step.

2nd for Brother Wai

yeah, you're meant to paint your models.

...

>Vehicles need nerfs

Is 1750 or 1850 better for average games?

I've played both. Personally don't care. 100 points difference isn't that different. 1850 is more common in the US for pickup games and tournaments though.

1500 is the bestest. Allows some room for fancy stuff but at the same time limits you from going full on crazy.

I just won a maelstrom game 12-2 against a Gladius, whilst not having any Obsec whatsoever on my side of the table and only having 7 units.

I even scored domination. -after- one of my units was wiped out.

The fuck just happened?

Whatever is the most common in your area. I don´t think anyone would start an argument over this. You could say 1750 to piss off people who netlist.

Thunderwolf star fits at all levels friend.

The meta is fucked right now.

You got good user.

7000 is the best, in my opinion.

Glorious Apocalypse games with a dozen Imperial Knights and a Warlord Titan

As what army?

They gotta scrape them mold lines and fill those gaps first.

Well that's true. But my meta has it's own limits for that so those don't get out of hand.

What in the name of the Emperor was that Gladius player doing?

I prefer 2500 and 4k myself.

Anvil Strike Force. 3 ven dread unit, 3 Contemptor unit, Ironclad in drop pod, whirlwind, 3 vindis, pred, Techmarine.

He deployed in one corner barring two units and I got the first turn, so I had the Ironclad and it's drop pod slightly narrow his escape routes then closed in from two directions.

"Here, have board control", I guess.

Did he just take Heavy Bolters? I'm at a loss. Fuck him for using Gladius anyway.

Should I buy War Walkers or Vypers for an Alatioc army?

Lots of terminators, chaplain warlord, some bikes, lascanon Devastators, Grav Tacticals in heavy Bolter Razorbacks, bare bones dread in a pod.

Got an apoc game coming up with a Warlord Titan, Phantom Titan, Vampire Raider, Scorpion tank, Reaver titan, 3 warhounds, a dozen knights, Ordinatus, all 4 demon lords and a few baneblades.

Plz kill me.

>local taufaggot doesnt like apoc because "there's too much going on"
>usually brings two riptide wings and a retaliation cadre amongst other things
>doesn't move any of them because he just forgets to
>only moves with thrusts in the assault phase
>would rather play 1850 with a few suits or kill teams with crisis suits
>devour his biomass anyways

>play Gladius
>don't fan out and cover all the objectives
Why.jpg

>Store has apoc game with like 8 people
>Master of Disaster table gets rolled on
>One of the table tiles gets removed
>Some guy loses his entire army expect for a flyer in one turn
Was fun as fuck, would love to do it again

Does anyone here collect a Black Templars army?

What does "superfriends" mean?

I do

Do you still play them? What is your most common list like?

Usually its a deathstar made with multiple different allied units and ICs to combine their special rules in a deadly superunit.

superfriends is thunderwolves cavalry + smashfucker

not anymore, smashfucker loses his fnp when he jumps in with TWC or ravenwing etc as of the FAQ

Nah its just bunch of allied chars stuffed together. You can make superfriends with multiple different set-ups.

no, you don't put smashfucker with TWC, you put him with a command squad with an apothecary. You basically run fist of medusa with strike force command, armored task force and a auxillary tax/option, and still have room left over for thunderwolves cavalry.

Quick question
Currently building Scout sentinel. One of two in a squad. Other one has autocannon
What should I arm this one with?

Also an autocannon. Don't mix roles if they're going in the same unit.

Autocannon is probably the best choice for a scout sentinel anyway. Lascannons on that chassis are too costly (can you even do it, actually) and BS3 on a single shot weapon hurts.

This dude's getting 40k rules as well as 30k, following what they did with the BaC stuff.

(Apologies for Cut Off Photo Syndrome, I didn't take the pic.)

Thank you very much.

Well, my black templar collection is my third army, so its lackluster.

I love the Templars and their fluff, but on the tabletop I can only really field like 1k points of only marines. Doesn't win a lot but my Emperor's Champ has decapitated a lot of stuff.

>(can you even do it, actually)

Yep. Only thing Scouts can't have are Plasma Cannons.

>I can only really field like 1k points of only marines
Now that's fluffy as fuck.
Any idea what you're gonna add next?

>wolves on their powerpacks
NO!
This is going too fucking far. Why do they even have powerpacks? They don't even have power armor, it's just another spot to stick wolves on. Fuck this shit one dimensional meme army.

thats fake
different text, praetors dont exist in 40k, not to mention theres spelling errors throughout

I played a 12-way free for all run what you brung game on a warehouse floor once. Any points, any army, last man standing. We had alternating groups (so the guy to your left and right aren't allies, but go at the same time), with counterclockwise turn order respected when intervening players were knocked out. At the end, VPs were scaled by points.

It was a massive clusterfuck that took weeks, and the winner ended up being a kid that only brought like a thousand points and got knocked out on the first day, but it was still my favorite game of 40k I've ever played. There's something magical about seeing well over 100,000 points arrayed for battle.

Anyone know the best way to run skitarii vanguard? I mostly play against guard players if that helps at all?

How to people even get tabled in this game?
I've never seen anyone get tabled in my life, even in turn 6 people will always have something left.

Play against Tau when they bring 2 stormsurges and 3 Riptides.

...

Against guard? 3x Arc rifle, Omnispex. Take a tank down a turn! Rangers might also work better because in case of no tanks you can snipe from comfortably outside their range.

Agaist IG, max Arc Rifles. Their Rad Carbines will make short work out of their infantry regardless of what they are.

Well this is baffling. I've got people in the 30k thread telling me the one with 30k rules is fake and this picture is the real rules for the models, and people in the 40k thread saying pretty much the opposite.

How big of a work space do you need to paint minis? I also hate how only spray On primer exists. I want to learn how to paint minis but I fear getting started. Abd fuckibg up minis...

So I like to think I have a decent enough knowledge of WH40k or at the very least entry level but I was wondering, who/what are the people being attacked by the 'nids in this image, I don't recognize them.

Have you tried selecting a variety of high damage output units then directing them at whatever they specialise at killing?

Shit dude, I table people all the time, and only one of my armies is top tier.

>8 pointed star

They're chaos cultists mate.

They're heretics, user. They must be purged.

wtf kinda goofy-ass art is that lol

These are homebrewed rules the dudes in the Manchester store made for the model they're selling on Saturday. He's pretty broken.

Daily reminder this happened in Marvel's latest comics.

>I'm a retard, please, rape my face, I have no idea what I'm talking about

They have powerpacks, because those are the 13th Great Company. They charged into the Eye of Terror, in their Great Crusade gear, which, surprise surprise, had power packs, then mutated into Wulfen. The powerpacks remained on their forms as they couldn't taken it off.

shitty photoshop art that simply takes existing models and transcribes them onto a picture (usually in battle/action poses), instead of having an actual artist add his own touch to the work, while still retaining the source material's iconography.

...

...

...

Ive seen people get tabled, and Ive been tabled myself. No joke, every instance of it Ive seen in person has been Tau.

Where is it even from? It looks too good for official art.

>War Walkers or Vypers for an Alatioc army?
War Walkers. I imagine you have a rather static army since Alaitoc´s main thing is Rangers? If so the mobility of Vypers doesn´t really do much. Better to have the more effective War Walkers to support your snipers. With scatter lasers they are actually really, especially in Alaitoc since you have anti-heavy infantry and MC with your snipers.

>it looks too good for official art
(you)

ahaha fucking christ, they really aren't shy about just padding rules onto space marines are they?

>add his own touch

Yet you started off saying it copied models.. then said action poses.battle... then say it isn't their own touch.

What exactly do you want? If it isn't like the model, 'you' will scream it isn't canon, and if it is, you scream is shit.

40k is a autistic nightmare I wish I never delved into.

>(you)
Ha ha, well meme'd!

It's a fake image user.

broken mcfagmarine.

Read

>'you' will scream it isn't canon
When has anyone ever done that, you little sperg?
Jesus, you shitposters should just fuck off if you don't want to be here.

>Be melee army
>Attempt to enter melee

good lord I can't even tell anymore, I really wouldn't have been surprised if they just released a universally applicable death terminator stand in

Buy second hand minis to practice, find a tutorial on how to strip minis. Even if the models end up ruined you won´t have lost a ton of money.

>be daemons
>enter melee successful and shit all over his army
>win

every game, without fail, my bugs either get tabled or table something through pure melee
i've only tabled people in lower points though so nothing that really matters

Uh what? I'd rather have creative art showing the artist's rendition of what units would look like in their own minds on the battlefield, then taking a model and just drawing it in photoshop. Is that hard for your peanut brain to understand?

You are the one who is a retard. He was saying there shouldn´t be wolf sculpts on the powerpack.

He's still playable in the Manchester store tho, his special rules seem a bit iffy and may change depending on who reads it.
>Not even out yet
>Already needs FAQ

I've tabled 'Nids as BT. Charged with a 20 man crusader squad with Helbrecht in it, used Helbrecht buff and one of my dudes died to overwatch, giving me that bonus too.
It was fucking glorious.

It's fake. Praetor was a rank for the legions and was basically just a chapter master.

What's the problem? That's literally the 30k rules combined with 40k rules. It's not 'padding' anything.

Still, it's neat for Blood Angels and Space Wolves. With Scourge it'll be doing 5A+D3A. That's 8. Plus I assume he can take a Storm Shield, so he'd have 3++. Blood Angel will be doing S7 on the charge, with I7 under the formation (assuming he can be taken in place) and I8 if he gets the buff. Which means he'll be doing S7 AP2 A5 at I8, meaning he'll kill most things before they hit him back.

Still, much better for Space Wolves.

I know it's fake. But some marine player still probably thought it was a good idea and balanced.

user, those rules are fake.

not that hard to do desu, just kill the synapse and the army falls off the table/rips itself apart

>Be I 2 melee army*
>Attempt to enter melee

Feel free to look through the archive. It's been done for fucking years. People have talked about how X unit can have X weapon, or X unit doesn't do Y thing.

More insults.

Literally "don't disagree with me or I'll insult you". I didn't expect much and yet I got even less.

>Implying you just realized 40k is an autism magnet

lol

I literally explained they were the 13th Great Company which had that shit since Great Crusade, where they were wolfy wolfy, if not more wolfy, than they are now.

If any of them should have wolf adornments, it should be them.

>make unsupported claim
>insult everyone while you're at it
>"go find proof yourself!"
(you)

Old Wulfen art wasn't that wolfy.

>Not having I5, ap2, pseudo-fearless troop choices for less than 10 points
I feel so sorry for you buddy.
