Various worlds and multiverses have become connected together via the mysterious Overcity, a sprawling landscape inhabited by monsters and magical beings. Girls and boys endowed with their new supernatural powers can work together solving conflicts that arise!
>This is NOT a greentext adventure style CYOA with one GM and thread posting to dictate the adventure, but rather a hub thread for multiple storycrafters to use. A majority of activity (including campaigns) instead happens in the IRC, which is open for newbies to join. Characters can be rolled with either the CYOA's purple PDF which is intended as a writing prompt and is in the process of developing an independent auxiliary combat system, or AMGC's blue pdf which contains combat rules for PNP campaigns along with the rolls. The IRC mostly uses AMGC.
Post builds, roleplay, write stuff.

For those who don't have any characters that are corrupted: What would you do if they did get corrupted? What is your take on how corruption affects a mahou? Why don't you play any corrupted characters?
Asher Scott
When you get 40 dice in a single turn of combat...

Amelia wouldn't take it well. Self-loathing, violently resisting the urges, and basically blaming herself for screwing up for it to happen. Also, given her soul's over half sanctified at this stage, it'd be like pouring battery acid on her at a spiritual level in terms of how much of a messy, painful transformation it'd be. She'd definitely be unstable afterwards.
Mental effects as well as physical. Still the same person, but they're not in their right mind- and it can be subtle. More violent, more reclusive, more benevolent...You're not talking to someone in their right mind no matter how much they insist otherwise. Not that sanctification is much better.
Eh, I prefer vanilla over monstergirls and I like self-righteous heroes...at least in their own mind.

What are some realistic initial consequences to a character becoming meguca?

Touching yourself. ALL over. As shameful as you know it is you fucking know for a fact that would be the first thing you do when you're alone.

A lot depends on the circumstances of your change and the age you wind up, but as far as general trends...
Your entire wardrobe probably doesn't fit anymore. You probably don't have much to wear initially besides your mahou costume in the immediate aftermath of transformation. Since most kids don't go out and buy their own wardrobes without raising at least a few eyebrows, getting properly fitted civilian clothes may be a pain, unless you have a younger sibling to borrow from or the ability to order things online and have them shipped somewhere that you can get them discreetly.
You might not have very good coordination, as you have to adjust to a different body with different proportions, shorter reach, and altered balance from a changed center of mass. If you were a roughly average adult, you likely find yourself weaker now and with lower speed and dexterity. Of course, that's when you aren't in costume, but adjusting to the vast change in your abilities that transformation presents might take some practice.
When possible, you're going to need to practice and experiment with your new powers in a reasonably safe environment. Accidentally torching a house while you're trying to get the hang of throwing fireballs is not a mistake you'll ever want to repeat.
Friends and family probably won't recognize you at the start. It's a stressful time in your life, so you'll likely seek out things that are familiar. It's going to be further stressful having your loved ones reject you, whether it's because you appear to be a stranger or because they don't believe you. Even if you convince them, your life and theirs are unlikely to get easier. You may or may not have a valid new ID, but expect to suffer some major inconveniences if you don't legally exist. Your family/friends taking you in would probably at least require forged adoption papers.

What talent or talents does your meguca have?
Rumyr and Rhya are grandmaster tier chess players and invented their own form of chess thats significantly more complex

Amelia's got an untapped talent for being a forward in football.

Not to mention you'll never age, so good luck living a normal life if you rolled low. How about the constant compulsions to go out and fight monsters? How about the life-changing knowledge that magic is real?
She's good at math.
Jackson Gonzalez
Belinda is good with animals and was alright at cooking last time she had the chance.
Aysu knows her way around ships and has an interest in cartography.
Seona is generally a fast learner, but she doesn't know of any talents that she excels at.

Is the IRC play community actually active? That'd be pretty impressive and worth a look.
Isaac Lee
I did some writing for these ages ago.
Nicholas Garcia
Yep, it really took off. We have a community and a system now. Feel free to drop into IRC!

Anyone have suggestions or ideas for an Oddball spec? I'm trying to sort out what level of specialization is needed.

There's some suggested right there. Candy, steam, magnets, swords, weather, stars. Whatever.

According to this, an unarmed-based attack can only be defended against with a parry, and nothing else. Is this true?
Samuel Torres
Shavyla is good at predicting things, and interacting with adults.
Jinghua IS the talent, but she is a complete n00b that embarasses herself repeatedly.
Christopher Morales
Uh, huh. That IS how it's worded. I gotta ask now.
Jace Hill

Logan Bennett
The section needs to be reworded, but unarmed is a type of melee attack. Thus, unarmed can be defended against by Parry, Dodge, or Luck Out.
As she does not age, her body will forever be 13. If we imagine that weren't the case...

Beacons have to be pure! Gotta set a good example for those lewd monster girls
Colton Stewart
People are lewd, it's not a monstrous trait at all.
Easton Foster
Beacons can still marry thou- Wait, is marriage lewd? Is sweet vanilla love making lewd? I mean if you take a chastity vow you may have some problems there, but everyone else should be fine.
Adrian Diaz
Unless you're using the original idea of chastity, before the Catholic church decided it was something else.
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

This shit is mad gay and making me cringe. Just letting you know.
Colton James
Thanks for your opinion user. It matters so much.
Cooper Parker
user is mad, post beacons
Juan Wilson
Not mad about beacons, Mad about this becoming basically Tera general on vg just because some people in the IRC started playing Tera together.
James Reed
Nah, that's a reach. Pretty sure it's apples and oranges to compare thread posting and the tera players group being a thing...
Cooper Sullivan
Fair point I have to concede I was just memeing to get the point across about what it reminds me of.
Dominic Hall
The Tera posters are some of the worst roleplayers in the IRC, but it's well known most of them try to avoid Veeky Forums and subsequent posting. Being l-l-lewd and wanting to m-m-marry seems to be the main topic of most roleplay nowadays though. Not a coincidence.
Wyatt Phillips
What the fuck does posting my magical girl have to do with Tera? Why don't you say who you are, faggot?
Dominic Carter
You and I are reading very different RPs, friend...or your sense of humor is defective. And I can't remember the last time someone mentioned marriage other than in passing in the Wand bar RP or something.
Either way, not cool.
Hunter Gray
Someones taking you on a ruse cruise, or just has roughly the same opinion as me, Wasn't me either way.
Lincoln Lopez
Lewd is stupid if you throw away a good character to lewd them. I don't like characters specifically for lewd or who are naturally predisposed for it, but them I can at least tolerate. Honestly though it has to make sense, and that's the big thing.
Eli Scott
Okay.
>memeing I remember when we used to say joking.
Ryder Morris
How does your meguca vent the stresses of almost dying occasionally daily?
Jonathan Turner
I remember when we used to say insulting and ridiculous. This person's opinion is not base don anything actually happening in the RP.
Parker Gutierrez
Well yes, I'm not talking about RP at all I'm talking about the thread specifically.
Benjamin Scott
The thread was making it to about 30-40 posts before death until I started bumping it regularly. Newsflash, this thread is usually about nothing because the RP happens on IRC.
>I'm not talking about the RP at all >The Tera posters are some of the worst roleplayers in the IRC >Being l-l-lewd and wanting to m-m-marry seems to be the main topic of most roleplay nowadays
Are you really this fucking retarded?
Robert Williams
Last two were someone else so I'll give you 33% of your greentext. Anyway it sets a terrible example for the rest of Veeky Forums what we actually do in the irc. We don't want to become ERPG2 do we?
Josiah Ward
Not like all the TERA players are the ones acting like that, there's definitely people who don't play who make innuendos all the fucking time. And dude? If you have a problem with my RP, just tell me. I'm more than happy to try and work better at it, I'm not gonna crumble into little pieces just because somebody didn't like wittle ol' me or my characters.
David Jackson
This is Veeky Forums, people joke about shit like this in every thread. Also >Liking images of a girl is gay
Jaxson Bennett
I'm telling you in the thread why your roleplay is bad, dumbass.
Don't keep it bumped with cancer avatarfagging and shitty thread roleplay then.
Wrong.
Mason King

Luis Carter
2/3 characters aren't l-l-l-lewd or concerned with marriage though. I will admit I'm not happy with the other one's direction, but people still seem to like them so I keep them around. So if 2/3rds of the time I'm not roleplaying anything to do with l-l-l-lewd or m-m-m-marriage, then what else can I do?
Gabriel Ward
...
Charles Bell

Owen Lopez
Not even involved in this but can you stop spamming/shitposting?
Caleb Morris
How do you all feel about Magical Ninja Girls?
Oliver Stewart
I wouldn't call it shitposting, but it is spam.
We get it, you like your character. There are other pictures you could post besides your edits of her.
Whelp I did it. I'm running a bunch of individual games using this system. 5 of them. My god. Don't tell my players but, I'm mostly making it up as I go.
One of my players is an oddball. They're using Games. The core of the magic is setting up a game that applies rules to the vict-players. Anyone breaking the rules leaves themselves open to some serious punishment. Think FF Tactics but more megaton punches instead of jail. The player in question seems set on not being a cheating bastard so if they break a rule it stops applying. There are also a number of rules that change the state of things with stuff like manipulating rolls or allowing 'players' to try and cast spells outside of their normal limits.
hope and dreams ALL FOR ONE cartoons and comedy truth, peace, and justice for all. law
Tyler Rodriguez
Ah thanks, so with a little more detail: The core spell is called "Time to Play a Game". When it goes of it affects everyone within Far distance and makes them a player. The game starts with a number of rules and has a higher maximum rule limit, both increasing with higher Mag. The caster can once per turn add, replace or end a rule as a free action once the game has begun. If a rule is broken the caster is instantly aware of where the rule breaker is and what rule as broken. The naughty player is awarded 1 Punishment point for each rule they break. The points are spent with "Punishment TIme" which is the main specialisation attack. The points can be spent on a few effects costing 1-3 points each. The core rules, like the FF:T inspiration, forbid something e.g. Weapons, Repetition, Assistance, so as to force certain combat styles/tactics or be faced with Punishment Time. There are also special rules that add totally new options or functionality. e.g. Chaotic Temptation, which allows any 'player' to try and cast a spell they don't meet the requirements for by rolling LCK for 2 successes per stat point below the requirement. If they don't make the roll they lose the fizzled spell's mana cost and take some damage from the backlash.
There's a few other things but that's the core of it. I hope to add more stuff over time as inspiration strikes. I've done my best to keep the numbers balanced but we've not actually had a chance to put it to the test yet, so I've made it clear to my player that everything may subject to later changes if I feel it's needed.
