Black to move

0-0

I silence, and ready an action to pin.

1. Bg1+ Kg1x
White can also try to block the check with either of his bishops, but the end result is still a mate with Qh2

Queen to C-12. Now, Yahtzee my Battleship!
I think you'll find that makes bingo, sir.

h2 to b1- Check

h2-g1*

It's late -_-

Haha

Or have Kxg1 but you are right that Qh2++

Summon demon at c4, sacrifice pawn a6

Deepstrike Terminators at g1

Jump Riptide to E1, murder Terminators.

Checked

Flip table over and break Riptide's arms off.

Report assmad marine player to TO3. Technical checkmate; reattach magnetized Riptide arms.

Shriek and flap my flabby arms around as I tackle the tau shitlord.

>Black to move
That's racist

Nurse wounded pride as I recover from nearly being crushed to death. Pay for overpriced tourney snacks. Watch as marine player is escorted out, hope he doesn't know what my car looks like.

Futily struggle and call people escorting me out "disgusting fat-shaming pigs". Stand in front of a store for an hour and fling impotent insults.
Get back home and post on reddit about a discrimination on local 40k tournament. Get tons of upvotes.

Stop trying to make chess thread on Veeky Forums happen. Chess threads are never going to happen.

Pretty much after that no matter what black wins

Also can I ask why does Veeky Forums not like chess?
Like how did the meme replies start

It's not a meme, it's just me. It's me in every thread. I was the original "let's get a chess thread started" and I speak from experience that it fails miserably.

The problem with chess threads is that chess is not a game that thrives on the sort of subject that Veeky Forums relishes: there's no big company kicking out expansion packs, there's no single flashy moves, the tournament scene is far too insular and boring and the types of politics it engenders aren't good Veeky Forums bait. It's possibly the greates board game of all tme and definitely the most studied (not most played though,) but that means a lot of what is to be said about it has been said about it. Except for arguing whether KIA/KID/Pirc makes a workable beginners repertoire. (It does, but only because just about anything makes a workable beginners repertoir, how long it keeps working is a matter of debate but all the greats were fond of it.)

But I tell you what: I'm gonna quit with the "chess won't happen" crap. If you can make it happen where I once couldn't, more power to you.

But you received so many upvotes your heart jumped for joy and put you in the hospital. It feels like there's a tube in every orifice, but you eventually regain enough cognitive ability to think "this was a good week". Fulfilled with life you pass away a few days after. Most people there to mourn you at your funeral are just there out of obligation, nobody really knew the real you, but thats okay because the real you is still with us, immortalized in gifts of reddit gold and flawless karma.

...

>it's just me. It's me in every thread.

you write EVERY meme reply user?

Not every meme reply. Just the chess will never happen ones. Although technically I'm retired now.

The smartest move is to withdraw the bishop at h2 to g1. This places the white king in check. White's only options then are to move the king to g1 and seize said bishop or their bishop at g4 to h3. If they choose to seize the bishop, the black queen has a clear path to checkmate.

>h2 to g1
No. Don't do this. This is stupid.
h2 to g1 will result in white moving g4 to h3. King is no longer in check, black rook can't take the white bishop without being killed by the pawn, and Black needs to either trade his bishop for a pawn or let it get killed at White's leisure.

A smarter move would be to go h2 to e5. Firstly, this would put White in check without throwing away black's bishop.

Secondly, and more importantly, a bishop at e5 heavily restricts what the queen (d3), knight (c3) and pawn (b2) can do. If the queen moves anywhere other than d2, White gets fucked. If queen goes to d4, it gets taken by the bishop. If it moves anywhere else, the bishop takes the knight, but can't be taken by the pawn, because the pawn is pinned by the rook at b8.

If

.... Bg1+,

Bh3, then Qh2 is checkmate immediately

If white blocks the black bishop with g4-h3, black can counter with c7-h2 checkmate. The bishop still threatens that square. The king that can't take the queen without being in check to the bishop and can't take the bishop without being in check to the queen. Game over, black wins.

Sorry, I thought that was a king at c7, not a queen.

please ignore my faggotry, Veeky Forums

It's fine. Easy mistake to make. And if any player ever let there can become as exposed as you thought it was, they should be smacked.
