I actually like Garruk being an absolute predator in the sense that he hunts beasts and planeswalkers all the same not caring about the type of prey but its worth, that's cool flavor-wise, but since they went this way they should at least establish him as a real threat by fucking up some important planeswalker instead of random nonames that don't honestly make him as much of a threat as he should be.

Two set blocks were a mistake.

Set one sets the stage, and then set 2 is supposed to introduce the villain and then kill them off in the same release? Players who don't follow spoilers are going to open a pack and get a rare showing nissa triumphantly defeating emrakul, and the first things that come to their mind are going to be "why is emrakul on innistrad" followed immediately by "why is Nissa on innistrad".

The best part is the Nissa fan out there who can't wait to see another Nissa card because she is extremely plot important, seeing as she killed the goddamned villain, only to find out "sorry, no space for her".

Emrakul was able to fuck over more of Innistrad in a day than Ulamog and Kozilek could destroy in a year and two weeks

I don't see why everybody seems to be so surprised by all this. It's been comming for some time now. Between Magic Origins and Return to Zendikar block it seems like wizards is preparing for a MtG cinematic universe or something. Rebranding of the walkers and increasingly more focus on their stories then on the planes we're visiting that block. Formation of the Jacetice League. I wouldn't be surprised to see a either a movie or a series in the not to distant future.
