Theoretically

>chessboard
>one side plays checkers figures
>other side plays chess figures
>each side eats opponent's figures following the rules of their side
Who wins?

Captures. The word you are looking for is captures.

Probably chess guy since you can consume more plastic discs before you need to go to the hospital.

Well, assuming you swallow them whole and they are not particularly large or overly decorated, even the whole set might be able to pass through your system harmlessly.

My vote goes to chess
more flexible

If you mean captures, then Chess wins by camping out the off-colour squares and ambushing Checkers with fast-moving pieces.

Damn knight gets stuck in my throat.

> The pawns on the far sides of the board slowly advance toward the back row.

Not op but in my language capturing a piece is called eating that piece

Eating is fine, that how we learned it in Hawaii many many years ago.

Makes sense to a kid.

...

English was a mistake.

Ye better for the world to speak latin or fucking french

Latin is really better, just take a look at the mess English phonetics and grammar are and compare to Latin ones. It's like 3.5 with homebrews and AD&D2e

I never had problems with English phonetics and grammar.
It may be cause I'm polish though.

Esperanto was the real mistake. It was European Union of languages.

English is a crossbreed that takes parts from all over the world. But at least it has natural evolution.

It didn't

The clock is ticking, fix as many faucets as you can while you still can.

I don't get it

>tfw a chess vs checkers thread became a language discussion
Dunno why I'm not surprised

Joke about immigrants, I guess

Chess player wins. He puts his king on a white square and blocks most captures since checkers need jumps to capture.

At least it's not dutch... or japanese. Fuck those languages.

Is japanese that bad?

The chess side has an advantage, as all the pieces except the bishop can move to squares of the other color. The checkers pieces are stuck on one color.

Further: the checkers have to be right next to the enemy to jump them. The chess pieces can capture from a distance.

I think the checkers side gets rekt.

don't forget Finnish, literally impossible to understand. Sounds beautiful though
