>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

Let's rock

...

The climb up Korin Tower takes nearly a day.

Without your training clothes, it should only take an hour, two at the most, but you've been beaten pretty badly. It feels just like the first time you climbed the tower alongside Goku, after your near-death experience at the hands of Tao. You aren't hurt that badly, so it doesn't take quite as long this time, but the better part of a day passes before you can spot the top.

Upon climbing inside, you collapse to the floor, raising your head to look around for Korin.

You can't see him, but you can hear his laughter from above, along with Krillin's cries of exertion and frustration, presumably as he tries to take the water. It seems your friend is having about as much luck as you and Goku did at first.

Picking yourself up, you stagger toward the stairs leading to the topmost area of the tower, stopping as you see Korin appear atop them.

The cat gives you a smile, fading away as Krillin passes through him with another failed attempt to grab the water.

Your friend lands on the railing, windmilling his arms before falling forward with a yell, plummeting from the tower.

"Hehe, I love doing that," you hear a voice say beside you.

Looking over, you see Korin, staring up the stairs where Krillin vanished.

"So, I see your little adventure hasn't gone as planned," he says.

B, C, F: Is there some kind of training to get stronger fast?

>A. You could say that

"Gurumes was unstoppable," you tell Korin. "And his people fought better than I expected."

"You got overconfident," Korin sums up, heading inside.

As you follow him, you take a moment to consider that. After all, you charged right in expecting an easy victory, and went into the castle without taking down most of your enemies.

Whatever your mistakes, you have a mess to clean up now, and you aren't sure you're strong enough to do it.

"Is there some kind of training to get stronger fast?" you ask.

"Your training is complete," Korin tells you. "I have nothing left to teach you."

He approaches a pot, fishing inside it and retrieving a Senzu Bean, which he tosses over to you.

"Here, eat up."

You eat the bean, and you find your injuries healed, and your energy restored.

"If you can't train me, I need Krillin," you tell Korin.

"Well, you can tell him that when he gets back up here," Korin says, approaching another of his pots and looking inside it. "By the look of things, it'll be a little while; he fell pretty far."

He closes the pot and steps back. "But if these guys were strong enough to beat you twice, I'm not sure how much help Krillin will be right now. He's still not finished his training."

"Do you know where Goku is?" you ask.

"What do I look like, his mother?" Korin asks. "I have no idea. You'd probably be better off waiting for Krillin. He's doing pretty well, it shouldn't take him too long to get the water."

"Hmm...." Korin thinks it over, fixing himself a cup of tea. "I'd say that he'll probably have it within the week. Not bad. What's going on with your generation, anyway? Some new kind of vitamins or something?"

>C. Train yourself during that time by climbing up and down the tower with your training clothes on

You tell Korin that Krillin's one of the strongest people you know, so it's no surprise that he'll finish soon.

"Yeah, and his determination to catch up with you and Goku doesn't hurt, either," Korin says, walking away. "Mind reader, remember?"

Korin heads upstairs, and you decide to do some training while you wait for Krillin to finish up. You climb down the tower, passing Krillin on the way, and quickly reaching the bottom. Once there, you put your weighted clothes back on, and prepare for another climb.

To add an extra challenge to this task, you decide to climb the tower using only your hands.

Your weighted clothes make the process much longer than it would be otherwise, and the fact that you can't use your legs makes it extremely slow moving. As the first day passes, you find yourself glad you ate a Senzu Bean.

All in all, it takes you three days to climb to the top of Korin Tower using only your hands, and when you make it, collapsing to the ground and struggling to catch your breath, you find Krillin standing over you.

"Hi, Tofoo," he greets. "Korin said you might need me."

He nods. "Yeah, but it was just regular tap water. You already knew that, though, right?"

"Yeah, he knows," Korin says, entering the room. "He did get the water before you did."

He comes to stand by you and Krillin. "Now, let me get you two on the same page so you can get off my tower. Tofoo here tried to fight some king called Gurumes, and he got beaten down pretty badly."

"Really?" Krillin asks, surprised. "That Gurumes guy must be really strong."

Korin nods. "Now Gurumes is sending some people to Devil's Hand to find the Devil's Castle, and the Sleeping Princess inside it."

"Princess?' Krillin asks. "What does this king want with her?"

"Tofoo doesn't know," Korin answers for you. "But Gurumes says she can break the curse he's under, so probably that. Tofoo came here to ask you for help, and here we are."

"Krillin, will you come?" you ask your friend.

"Of course!" he says, smiling confidently. "This will be a great chance to test my new strength, and if these guys are tough enough to fight you, it should be great training."

"Well then, you boys had better be going," Korin says. "Good luck."

You and Krillin leap from the tower, racing one another to the bottom.

Krillin moves much faster now, and your training clothes slow you down, but, climbing the tower with them and spending so much time in them has allowed you to become more used to the added weight, causing the two of you to move at about even speed.

You catch Krillin staring at you out of the corner of his eye, but he doesn't say anything.

The two of you land side by side at the bottom.

"So, do you know where Devil's Hand is?" Krillin asks.

You tell him that you have a map, and pull it out, reading it and finding the direction the two of you need to go in.

And so, the two of you begin your journey, crossing valleys, mountains, and rivers in a trip across the world, a distance so far that not even the two of you can make it in a single day. The sun falls, and the two of you decide to stop for the night.

Krillin gets a fire started, while you find a saber-toothed cat to cook.

The two of you sit down and enjoy your meal, taking a brief, but much needed rest.

"So, Tofoo, what kind of training have you been doing so far?" Krillin asks. "I know it's only been a few days, but I know you must have done some things already."

"I carried Eighter around, climbed some mountains, and then fought a lot of people working for King Gurumes," you tell Krillin.

"You've been busy," he comments, taking another bite of his food. "I figured as much."

"Did you visit Chichi like you planned?" you ask him.

Krillin's cheeks redden just a bit. "Yeah. I wish I could have stayed longer."

He doesn't say anything more on the subject, but it's pretty obvious that he really likes Chichi, and he's really happy with her. It's nice seeing your friend like this.

The two of you don't do much that night, talking for a little while after dinner before going to sleep. When the sun rises the next morning, you're on the road again, and soon find yourself on a ridge overlooking a mist-covered swamp.

But, across from you, rising above the mist, are a series of mountain peaks surrounding a smaller, wider mountain, creating the image of a giant hand.

"Well, it looks like we found it," Krillin says.

Climbing down from the ridge, the two of you make your way through the swamp. You hear the sounds of insects and birds, but don't actually see anything through the thick mist. You also can't shake the feeling that you're being watched, but your mind might be playing tricks on you.

"You said the king sent people already," Krillin reminds you. "Do you think they're here, yet?"

>B. If they are, they probably got themselves killed
I doubt he has many lieutennants left.

"If they are, they probably got themselves killed," you tell Krillin. "I don't think Gurumes has very many of his top people left. But we should worry about whatever's in this castle, not the soldiers."

Krillin nods. "Right. That reminds me, I don't think you ever said what was in this castle."

"Demons, mostly," you say, moving ahead.

"DEMONS?!" Krillin screams. "You're joking, right? Tell me you're joking. You're not joking."

The two of you continue onward until you reach a cave entrance that resembles the head of a snake, complete with stalagmite and stalactite teeth. Figuring this to be the entrance you're looking for, you head inside.

There's a long hallway in the cave lined with various creepy looking statues, and multiple pieces of artwork depicting strange and frightening creatures. In some of the art, the creatures are terrorizing humans, and the images aren't very pleasant.

Krillin looks around nervously, clearly not taking very well to the new environment.

"Everything will be fine," you promise Krillin, continuing forward.

"Hey, I never said that I was scared," Krillin grumbles, following.

You come to a much wider room, lit by torches. It seems to be empty, though there are many different hallways leading in various directions. There's no indication of what leads where, and you get the feeling that exploring this entire place would be very dangerous and time-consuming.

In the process of trying to decide on a direction, you begin to hear a low rumbling, and the ground beneath you begins to shake. The sound seems to be coming from one of the wider halls, and when you look in that direction, you see the source of the noise.

Huge figures, hundreds of them, are barreling toward you and Krillin. And as they draw closer, you can see that they aren't men. They come in different colors; green, gray, blue, and so on. Some have bumpy skin, some have horns, many are carrying huge guns or other weapons, and all of them are pretty hideous.

Demons.

A blue creature near the front blows a horn, and the creatures increase their speed as they charge toward you.

kidnapping + emotional abuse porn, mainly. Just ninjalooting some girl and brutally training her to be good at her new life as a sex slave is my fucking #1 fetish

You and 90% of the males on this planet.

Not knowing what these creatures are capable of, you drop into a defensive stance. Krillin does the same, and the demons come closer, roaring in excitement as they reach their prey.

The first one to reach you throws a punch, but you parry before grabbing his massive arm with both hands, spinning, and throwing him over your shoulder.

While your back is turned, the next demon throws a punch at the back of your head, but you drop forward into a push-up position, then kick back with both legs, hitting him in the groin and causing him to hunch over.

You push the ground and throw yourself up, doing a spin kick that catches the demon in the face and knocks him away before you land. As he falls unconscious to the ground, more come at you, surrounding you and attacking from all sides.

They're big, and stronger than normal humans, but nowhere near as strong as you, and not very fast. The only advantage they really have is their size, as their arms and legs are too big to grab with one hand, forcing you to block and parry without getting much chance to grab them and throw them.

Still, with your superior speed and power, you're able to fend them off, blocking one demon's attack while taking out another with an attack of your own.

The cries of demons from nearby tells you that Krillin's doing quite well himself. It seems the two of you have this.

Soon, the fallen demons begin piling up in front of you, creating too much of an obstacle for you to properly fight. You jump back, landing in a more open space. Krillin is forced to do the same, and the two of you stand back to back as the demonic horde moves to surround you.

"So, what now?" Krillin asks.

>A. Attack!

>B. Keep on the defensive

>C. The two of you should work together to create an opening and escape (40)

>>A. Attack!

>>A. Attack!

>C. The two of you should work together to create an opening and escape (40)
"Rather not waste more time with them than we need to. Further we go in."

"Attack!" you shout.

The two of you rush toward the horde of demons, moving so fast that many of the fiends can't even see it.

You catch your first opponent entirely unawares, and bring him down with a single kick that sends him flying back into the demons behind him, knocking an entire row over.

Two demons come at you, throwing punches at the same time, but you raise both arms and block the strikes. Jumping, you do a split-kick, striking them both in the face at the same instant, and knocking them out cold.

As you come down from that, a demon takes advantage, and manages to land a punch to your chest that throws you back. You back-flip, and land on your feet before leaping again and descending on your foes.

You land behind the demon who attacked you, kicking him in the back of the head as you pass over him. As he falls, you sweep the legs out from under the three nearest demons, then speed over one, taking out a fourth demon with a quick claw-strike and landing on the head of the fallen demon you passed over.

The demon begins to lift himself, and another manages to stand, throwing a punch down at you. You move to the side, hopping off the creature's back and causing it to take the punch that was meant for you.

As you watch this, you casually elbow a demon between the legs, then lift your lower arm to hit him with a back-knuckle punch as he hunches over. Once he's down, you grab him, holding him in front of your body as a shield as you charge into the demons, barreling through them and making your way toward the hall they came from.

As you move, you feel the sting of a bullet, and look over to see that some of the armed demons are firing on you. You hurl the body you're holding, knocking down a trio of them and giving you an opening to take out several of the others.

"Back off!" a voice commands. "Let me get a crack at them."

>Continued

The demons stop in their tracks, then back away slowly as a massive, red demon carrying two large clubs, and with a ribbon draped over his shoulders approaches.

As the demons spread out, Krillin comes to your side, eyeing the newcomer warily.

The massive demon smiles down at you. "You're no ordinary kids. And here I thought this many demons would be overkill."

He drops into a fighting stance. "Then again, you know the old saying. If you want something done right, you do it yourself."

"Who are you?" you ask the creature.

"Ghastel," he answers. "And you're dead."

He comes running toward you, moving with impressive speed and swinging his massive club at you and Krillin.

Krillin jumps back, while you leap over the club. Ghastel swings his other club up at you, and you lean back, avoiding being struck by a few centimeters.

He swings the first club again, and this time you are struck, sent flying back and crashing through a nearby pillar before landing painfully on the ground.

"Tofoo!" Krillin shouts.

Ghastel grins, preparing to smash you with one of his clubs, but Krillin gets you out of the way just in time.

"Tofoo, you should take off those heavy clothes," Krillin tells you.

As Ghastel comes charging, Krillin rushes to meet him, using the Afterimage Technique to get past the clubs, and kick the massive demon in the face.

Ghastel barely even flinches, and as Krillin jumps back, he's struck from the side by the club, and sent flying into the horde of demons, who move to attack him while he's down.

You get back to your feet, and Ghastel laughs.
