For that sweet wizardess that got rumours going around her that she got nice ass pussy but only give it up to drwgonslayers so she knows you can slay her pussy good

...

Yes, and also any number of other motivations, because wizards are people and don't have to conform to some kind of arbitrary stereotype.

If you become a wizard simply to chase materialistic goals, can you truly be a master of the arcane arts?

Is there a name for this kind of art, like old school wizards and dragons and rainbow unicorns n shit? Anything that would look good on the side of a van

I suppose that depends on whether the wizard's magical tradition sees magic primarily as part of some kind of spiritual or philosophical journey, or just as a utilitarian craft to do with as a wizard sees fit. Anyway, the former wizard could strive for the dragon's hoard in hopes of turning that wealth to altruistic ends or to supplement the funds of their order.

When you're a Wizard, slaying a dragon is just something you do on your way to something actually dangerous.

Plus everyone only knows female dragons will only fuck someone who can defeat them.

>If you become a wizard simply to chase materialistic goals, can you truly be a master of the arcane arts?
Absolutely. A wizard is someone who sees paths to power which no normal man can walk. It matters not whether his ultimate destination is cosmic enlightenment, or absolute power over the physical; if magic offers a way there, the wizard will find and walk the path.

The stuff you could use from dragon bones, organs and whatnot is very useful

Riches and to keep a steady stream of that Ol'Toby flowing in

the REAL wizards slay them for fun

Bitches

Because they were cheating at bridge night.

For the same reason a Wizard does anything else.
BECAUSE WIIIIIIIIZAAAAARD!

Slaying such ancient and wise beast only because he occasionaly steal uneducated women are incredible act of hubris. Any wizard or mage who a seen in company of so called "adventures" no longer welcome at my tower!

For practice

Magic components or infusing themselves with Dragon-blood to get magically inclined kids so they don't have to teach them.

Because it's being very loud and making it hard to for you to read and sleep. You asked it politely to keep it down, but that didn't work so now it's time for plan B.

Depends on the wizard.
Depends on the setting.

Check out the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks. They merge that aesthetic with a sick woodcut style. Except the cover, of course.

What's the purpose of your idiotic question?

>riches or respect

Dinner.

Yes, dragons are vermin, but imagine how cuisine might differ IRL if ratmeat tasted like dragon: dee-lish!

>wizards slay dragons for bitches
there you go

Wizards slay Dragons for the lulz.

Did anyone else just see the Roleplaying Cliches thread get deleted?
