The question was almost enough to distract me from the dark thrill that still coursed through my veins, even as the dust settled around me, Mister Stabby extended outward as I breathed in my conquest.

"It's called 'Prom', Xia, and no, I'm not. I've got better things to do."

I wasn't really sure why I put up with her... well, other than the fact that I wasn't totally confident I could actually take her. And I suppose better her being curious about me than out wreaking havoc. Xia said she saw 'potential' in me... whatever that meant. Plus she'd saved by bacon once or twice... not that I'd ever admit that to her. Still, she never bothered to make an effort unless I was a hair's breadth from death's door.

Scotty (heh, he hated being called that) thought she was a bad influence, and should be banished back to where she came from. She, in turn, delighted in taunting him, knowing that he had no real idea how to make that happen.

I absently toyed with the circlet on my wrist; Scotty's greatest present to me, it made peoples eyes and hears sort of... slide over me as long as I tried to be quiet. Completely invaluable; I teased him that it was the main reason I kept him around. Heh. Not that that was the truth...

Anyway! No dwelling on mushy feelings right now, I had a job to do.

The problem with Xia's advice, of course, is that I could never be sure she wasn't holding something back to test me. And Reiv rarely gave me more than cryptic warnings. Hmph! What's a girl got to do to get some straightforward answers!?

Checking that my gun was free in its holster, and with knife in hand, I motioned for silence, and proceeded to cross the street to the warehouse...

I think on an individual level it's overpowered but that's fine. The real problem is that it reproduces too fast. Seriously with that power and it only taking 4 hours to create a new one they can take over the city in a few years without the other clans stepping in to curb their population. Also they don't really have to eat too much compared to something like trolls that have to eat an almost impossible amount. I think a good way to balance them would be to make their reproduction very difficult.

All I want to do is find a place to hang out and snooze, and a University sounds like the perfect place. I just kindly ask someone if I can come into their dorm or apartment and just stay for as long as I’d like. While I’m there, I might as well cause mass chaos with Envy 2 and extend my lifespan. Of course, being in a University, It would be stupid of me to not steal the knowledge my targets have. Sure, this would probably cause them to flunk, but that’s okay with me.

Of course, given Sloth 3 allows me to view anything anywhere, I might be able to cause someone to kill a group for the sake of God, not knowing that the other side is what he just worked for. Any time stop I exist in will be used to travel from place to place or just to have fun. And that’s what I plan to do, have fun. Even at the cost of another’s well being.

Not into unbalanced PvP and that's exactly what it is. The problem with Slayers is that they're not necessarily wizard hunters which allows them to live openly as very popular monster hunters (just pick Leadership) until they have amassed incredible power. They can then get even more power by killing "evil" wizards. There's nothing stopping a Slayer from becoming an international hero, garnering support from the masses and indiscriminately killing mages they deem evil because they have the support of their rabid fanbase.

What about the werewolves and dragons always fighting over who gets to have dominion of beasts. Werewolves don't seem like people that would submit to another race. Especially without fighting them to test if they're worthy to rule over them

When one wolf is undeniably more dominant than the other, the weaker wolf won't even fight him but instinctually submits. I assume that is what happens between Dragons and Werewolves.

I don't know it's just to me it seems like it really gimps the potential of werewolves knowing no matter how well you lead your clan and how powerful it becomes you'll always have to submit to the dragons with no way of even challenging them.

Buffy is awesome though. The whole lone, empowered human vs the forces of evil is pretty fucking cool. Maybe you could consider doing both? You could have a more expansive order of hunters who combat the Other using old templar techniques or modern weaponry or something; and you could have the Slayer option where you're considerably more powerful than a hunter but have only a limited support network, are distrusted by regular hunters, and are somehow connected to the Other in some way. More power would mean more responsibility of course.

It is proportional, but they are slightly clumsy.
