>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a sixteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

Good afternoon Som.

I should be running and losing this gut, but I'mma stay here and play your quest while downing Ghost Benders (That's Ecto Cooler and Crystal Head Vodka).

I hope you're happy. Cause I'm beginning to think I never will be.

Typical Som quest reader right here.

Yamcha and Puar leave, and you decide to return to your friends.

Upon returning to the center of the park, you see that Launch and Turtle are talking to one another.

"So I saw Crane Hermit take the two of you," Turtle explains to her as you approach. "And I came here as fast as I could."

"Really?" Launch asks, unconvinced. "Because it seems to me like it took a long time for you to show up."

"I'm a turtle," Turtle reminds her. "I can't move very fast."

You hear Bulma groan from her spot against the tree, and see her open her eyes.

>A. Go see if she's alright

>B. Go thank Turtle for the help

>C. Go check on Goku back at the hotel

>D. Something else

user, you can go running, I archive the quest every time. It will be here for you to read when you get back. I also suggest switching to mostly drinking water, it did wonders for me as far as losing weight.

>"I'm a turtle," Turtle reminds her. "I can't move very fast."

That's gold.

>A. Go see if she's alright

>>A. Go see if she's alright

>>A. Go see if she's alright

Just get out and play some pokemon go bro.

You head over to the tree, kneeling in front of Bulma and putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey," you say gently. "Are you alright?"

"Tofoo?" she asks. "You're here."

She blinks a few times, her senses seeming to come back to her. "Yeah, I'm fine. I guess this means you beat Shen?"

"Shen, and that little freaky mime kid," Launch shouts from nearby.

Bulma sighs in relief. "Good."

You take a step back and offer her your hand, she grabs tight and you help pull her to her feet.

"Thanks for the save," she says with a smile.

>A. Apologize for getting her and Launch involved

>B. Ask if you can get a kiss for saving the day

>C. Ask what happened

>D. Tell her to thank Turtle, he saved you from Chaozu

>E. Something else

>A. Apologize for getting her and Launch involved
>D. Tell her to thank Turtle, he saved you from Chaozu

>A. Apologize for getting her and Launch involved
>D. Tell her to thank Turtle, he saved you from Chaozu

>C. Ask what happened
>D. Tell her to thank Turtle, he saved you from Chaozu

"Sorry for getting you involved," you tell Bulma. "You too, Launch."

"It's not your fault," Bulma assures you. "Besides, how many times did I get you into trouble when we first met? But thanks for helping us."

"You should be thanking Turtle," you tell her. "He saved me from Chaozu."

"What are you talking about?" Launch asks. "I'm the one that pumped that little creep full of lead."

Bulma looks at Launch a bit nervously. "Well...thank both of you."

>A. Go watch Krillin's match

>B. Go back to the hotel and check on Goku

>C. Something else

>C. Something else
Hang out with Tutrle and the ladies.
They can pick what to do.

>A.

"You guys want to go watch the rest of Krillin's match?" you ask.

Bulma's eyes go wide. "That's right! I can't believe I forgot about that. Let's go!"

"Right!" Launch agrees, and the two girls start off in the direction of the tournament grounds, leaving you and Turtle behind.

"Well, here we go again," Turtle groans, beginning to crawl slowly after the retreating ladies.

>A. Carry Turtle to the tournament grounds

>B. Leave him and run after the others

>C. Something else

>A. Go watch Krillin's match

>A. Carry Turtle to the tournament grounds

>A. Carry Turtle to the tournament grounds

He was a proper bro just then, can't leave the guy behind.

>A.

>A. Carry Turtle to the tournament grounds

Not wanting Turtle to be left behind, especially after what he did for you and your friends, you pick him up and carry him the rest of the way to the grounds.

"Oh! Heh, thanks!" he says bashfully as you rush after the girls with him in your hands.

You catch up soon, and it's a rather short walk to reach the tournament from where you are. The roar of the crowd soon fills your ears, and the sight of the endless sea of people soon fills your eyes.

"Great," Bulma groans. "We won't be able to see anything from here."

"Leave that to me," Launch says, pulling out her gun and firing some rounds up into the air. "Alright, people, listen up! I want a path cleared now! Move it or I start getting target practice!"

The terrified people quickly move out of the way, and Launch leads your little group up to the front, where you can get a good view of the match.

At first, all you see is Tenshinhan, who looks like he just took one heck of a beating. He's covered in bruises, breathing very heavily, and looks absolutely furious.

Krillin's nowhere to be seen.

"And once again, Krillin appears to have vanished into thin air!" the announcer shouts. "If this is anything like last time, Tenshinhan had better prepare himself for some pain!"

"Not this time!" Tenshinhan yells before throwing his elbow to the side.

Krillin appears, gasping in surprise as he's struck in the face and thrown back.

Tenshinhan rushes after him, using a double-axe handle strike to slam your friend to the ground. He throws a punch, but Krillin rolls back and leaps into the air in retreat.

"Oh no you don't!" Tenshinhan shouts, pointing upward at your friend.

You see his finger become surrounded by a yellow light.

Krillin smirks, and seems to split into a dozen different Krillins, all of which move through the air in different directions and take different looks.

"Come on, Krillin, you should know that technique doesn't work on me," Tenshinhan tells him.

>Continued

The triclops points at one of the many Krillins and yells.

"DODONPA!"

A wave of light shoots from his finger and rockets toward the Krillin, and you have no doubt that Tenshinhan has chosen the right target.

Krillin sucks in some air, and his body seems to inflate, slowing his fall just enough to avoid the blast fired by Tenshinhan.

He blows the air out, and quickly returns to the ground, grinning at his shocked foe.

"What?!" Tenshinhan demands.

"Cool trick, huh?" your friend asks. "Goku gave me the idea."

"You can't run forever," Tenshinha tells him.

"I don't need to," Krillin replies. "I can finish this right now."

Krillin puts one foot back, cupping his hands at his side. "Ka.....me......"

"And Krillin prepares the signature technique of the Turtle School!" the announcer shouts. "This is the same devastating technique that won Goku his last match, will Tenshinhan be able to withstand it?"

Rather than attempt to dodge, or anything of the sort, Tenshinhan takes a firm stance, staring Krillin down.

"COME ON!"

>A. You doubt Tenshinhan can take it

>B. He's up to something

>C. Krillin's got this

>D. Something else

>B.
I know what he's doing

>B. He's up to something

>B. He's up to something

>D. Stay quiet

Choosing to switch from B to

>D. Say nothing and watch the fight

"Tenshinhan's up to something," you comment.

"Yeah, getting himself killed," Bulma tells you. "He's nuts if he thinks he can just stand there and take that."

"Nah, Tenshinhan's not stupid," Launch says in defense of Krillin's opponent. "He's got something worked out."

Launch is probably right, and you think you know what Tenshinhan's plan is. Jackie Chun was able to deflect powerful attacks, as were you. It seems possible that Tenshinhan is capable of the same thing.

"Ha.....me....." Krillin continues, a blindingly bright ball of blue light appearing in his hands.

Tenshinhan does not move.

"HAAAAAAA!!" your friend shouts, thrusting his hands toward Tenshinhan.

A colossal wave of light, perhaps even larger than the one Goku used against you, explodes across the ring. You aren't sure if Krillin's trying to kill his opponent, as you're pretty sure a blast like that could destroy just about anything.

Tenshinhan yells at the top of his lungs, thrusting his hands out toward the oncoming blast, and stopping it dead in its tracks before sending it straight back at Krillin.

Your friend can't get out of the way in time, and is hit full-force by the attack. There's a colossal explosion, and the blowing of the wind that accompanies it knocks a few people off their feet.

Smoke is kicked up everywhere, obscuring your view of Krillin. Tenshinhan remains rooted in place, taking the time to catch his breath.

When the smoke finally clears, Krillin is amazingly still standing. He's scorched pretty badly, and breathing quite hard, but he isn't out of the fight just yet.

"That blast must have been weaker than I thought if you're still standing after taking it," Tenshinhan comments. "Maybe I shouldn't have bothered sending it back."

Krillin growls in anger and starts moving, vanishing into thin air before your eyes, which widen in shock.

>Continued

You scan the ring, looking for your friend, but can't seem to find him. Sweat drips down your brow at the implications of this. If Krillin is using the same strategy you and Goku used against one another, and you can't keep track of him, his speed must be at an entirely different level.

"Not this time," Tenshinhan warns, raising his hands in front of his face. "SOLAR FLARE!"

You cry out in surprise and cover your eyes as they're assaulted by a blinding light. You can hear the people around you making the same sounds, and even the announcer shouting into his microphone.

"There you are!" you hear Tenshinhan shout.

Slowly, you manage to force your eyes open, and watch Tenshinhan pummel your friend, raining punch after punch and kick after kick down on Krillin.

"Tenshinhan seems to have gained the upper hand again," the announcer shouts. "Although, I think we can all agree that the trick he used to make that happen was quite dirty."

Tenshinhan hits Krillin in the face with a palm-strike, knocking him over and sending him sliding back to the edge of the ring.

Krillin's face displays his panic as he leaps back to his feet, facing the approaching Tenshinhan.

"It's over," Tenshinhan tells Krillin.

Your friend narrows his eyes in determination. "Not yet!"

Tenshinhan yells and charges Krillin, who rushes to meet him.

Just before the two can reach each other, you see Krillin's body stiffen, and his face twist into shock. He hesitates on his punch just long enough for Tenshinhan to land his own, striking Krillin in the face and sending him flying from the ring.

Your friend falls to the ground outside the ring, and the crowd gasps in shock.

"It's over!" the announcer declares. "The winner is Tenshinhan!"

>A. Go check on Krillin

>B. Look around and see if Chaozu or Crane Hermit were watching the match

>C. Look around for Master Roshi and Oolong

>D. Something else

>C.

>>B. Look around and see if Chaozu or Crane Hermit were watching the match

>A. Go check on Krillin

Oh man. If Tien finds out they just gave him a handicap he is going to be pissed.

>B. Look around and see if Chaozu or Crane Hermit were watching the match
>A. Go check on Krillin

>B. Look around and see if Chaozu or Crane Hermit were watching the match

>A. Go check on Krillin

Wait, is that why he was slow when we and Goku were racing? He was hiding his speed or something?

>Seconding and agreeing

>B. and A.
He niggt be wearing weighted clothes

He knew about our weighted clothing after we blew up the castle.

What happened to Krillin at that last moment, it seems far too familiar. You saw something quite similar happen to Goku, and felt something quite similar happen to yourself.

You look around the crowd, and spot Chaozu, along with the Crane Hermit watching the match. You can't see their faces, but you're pretty sure you know what happened.

Rushing forward, you hop over the wall and rush past the ring, coming to Krillin's side.

By the time you reach him, Chichi is already there, clinging to him and crying, begging him to be okay.

There's a nice crack in the wall behind Krillin, so you guess he hit his head on the way out. He isn't responsive at first, but he soon opens his eyes and looks around in confusion.

Chichi pulls back and looks at him in relief.

"Are you alright?" you ask your friend.

He looks around, then lowers his head dejectedly. "I lost, didn't I?"

>A. Yeah

>B. Only because Tenshinhan cheated

>C. Chaozu attacked him at the last minute so he couldn't defend himself

>D. Something else

>C. Chaozu attacked him at the last minute so he couldn't defend himself

>>A. Yeah
But
>>B. Only because Tenshinhan cheated
"Though I am not sure he knows quite yet."

>C. Chaozu attacked him at the last minute so he couldn't defend himsel

>A. Yeah
>B. Only because Tenshinhan cheated

>B. Only because Tenshinhan cheated
>C. Chaozu attacked him at the last minute so he couldn't defend himself

I want to say this loudly. I want people to overhear

>C

"Only because Tenshinhan cheated," you declare loudly.

You hear murmuring in the crowd.

"What did you just say?!" Tenshinhan demands, stomping to the edge of the ring.

"That's a very serious accusation," the announcer tells you, coming to stand by Tenshinhan's side.

"Chaozu attacked Krillin at the last minute so he couldn't defend himself," you explain.

Tenshinhan's eyes, all three of them, go wide, and he looks over at his friend. "No, Chaozu would never interfere with one of my battles."

Chaozu looks down.

"Chaozu?" Tenshinhan asks, sounding disturbed. "Is what Tofoo claims true?"

"Well..." Chaozu starts.

Tenshinhan's expression becomes furious. "Chaozu! I did not ask for, nor did I require your help! This battle was supposed to be mine, and mine alone!"

"He was following my orders!" Shen snaps at Tenshinhan. "Since you seemed unable to do the job properly, I stepped in! You were losing, Tenshinhan!"

"I had this match under control!" Tenshinhan protests.

"Then why was that bald buffoon not dealt with when I got here?" Shen demands. "Why were you getting pummeled up and down the ring?"

Tenshinhan's hands clench into fists.

"Excuse me, but if this is true, I'm afraid I don't have any choice but to disqualify Tenshinhan due to your interference," the announcer tells the Crane Hermit.

"I don't care about the blasted tournament!" Shen declares. "This is about revenge! Tenshinhan! Krillin and Tofoo are both weak and injured, you can finish them now!"

>A. Tell Tenshinhan not to do it

>B. Tell Chaozu that you were right, Shen only cares about himself

>C. Don't say anything

>D. Something else

>B. Tell Chaozu that you were right, Shen only cares about himself

>>B. Tell Chaozu that you were right, Shen only cares about himself
ayy

>B. Tell Chaozu that you were right, Shen only cares about himself

>B. Tell Chaozu that you were right, Shen only cares about himself

>B. Tell Chaozu that you were right, Shen only cares about himself.
"I thought I told you to drop the vendetta you lost your fight against me earlier, don't drag your student into your mess!"

>>B. Tell Chaozu that you were right, Shen only cares about himself

"I was right," you tell Chaozu. "Shen only cares about himself."

"You shut your mouth!" Shen commands. "How are you speak of selfishness when you took away my brother! You call me a monster when Tao's blood is on your hands!"

"I thought I told you to drop the vendetta," you remind Shen. "You lost against me earlier, don't drag Tenshinhan into your mess!"

"I won't ever let it go!" Shen tells you. "Not until you and all of your friends have died! Tenshinhan, this wretch shed Tao's blood, and his friends are all guilty as well! Nobody here can stop you, end this!"

"But, master," Tenshinhan says. "He defeated you?"

"What's your point?!" Shen demands.

"He spared you," Tenshinhan tells him.

"He was too weak to finish the job, and now he will suffer for it!" Shen insists. "Don't forget your place, don't forget who you are! You're a killer, just like Tao!"

"No..." Tenshinhan sighs. "I don't want to be a killer."

Shen stares at his student, looking even more furious. "What you want doesn't matter! I made you! All you are, all you know is due to my kindness, my teachings! Have you forgotten all I've done for you?"

"No, master," Tenshinhan tells him.

"Then do as I say! Kill them!" Shen orders.

Tenshinhan looks down at you, Krillin, and Chichi. You can see the turmoil in his eyes, the struggle to make a decision. He closes his eyes, and makes his decision.

"No," Tenshinhan tells Shen. "I won't do it."

There is silence as master and student stare at one another.

"Then you will die with them," Shen declares. "Chaozu, paralyze them all!"

"Master, I will do anything you ask," Chaozu says apologetically. "But I cannot harm Tenshinhan."

"So, this mutiny has spread to all of my pupils, has it?" Shen growls, grabbing Chaozu by the collar and lifting him up. "Fine then, you all will suffer!"

Chaozu squeezes his eyes shut and thrusts his hands toward Shen. "NO!"

>Continued

Shen is sent flying backward, crashing into several members of the audience and releasing his grip on Chaozu.

Chaozu opens his eyes, looking down at his own hands and looking at them in surprise. Tenshinhan looks at his friend in shock, and the crowd reacts with a mixture of surprise and terror at the recent events.

Shen climbs back to his feet, looking at his students with absolute contempt.

"You will all pay," he promises. "I will see each and every one of you-"

"I've heard enough!" Master Roshi shouts from across the ring.

You look over to see the Turgle Hermit with his hands cupped at his side, a glowing ball of light between them.

"You old fool," Shen growls, lifting into the air and landing in the ring across from Roshi. "Now you want to fight me? Was the pain I gave you last time not enough?"

"Excuse me!" the announcer shouts. "Whatever all of this is about, please, settle it somewhere else!"

"Be quiet!" Shen demands of the announcer.

The Crane Hermit pauses, then grabs the man, putting the announcer between himself and Roshi.

"Enough with that useless attack of yours," Shen tells Roshi. "Stand down unless you want this man to die?"

"Oh man, they don't pay me enough for this," the announcer shouts.

>A. Jump into the ring and tell Shen to let him go

>B. Hit Shen with a light shot while his back is turned

>C. Stand back

>D. Something else

Oh come on Shen, the Announcer is too based to die
>D. Suplex Shen to get him off of the announcer
This is a perfect oppurtunity for it, SuplexAnon guide my hand.

Trips confirm

>B. Hit Shen with a light shot while his back is turned
Deliberately "miss" to draw his attention from the hostage, then nail him in the back with it.

Since we didn't get to show that off during the Tournament.

This

I support dis. DC to suplex Shen?

This is going too far.

You jump into the ring, moving quickly behind Shen and grabbing him by his waist.

"What?" Shen demands, looking over at you and releasing his hold on the announcer.

You lift him off his feet and fall back, holding him over your shoulder and slamming him into the ground behind you as you land.

You release your grip and get to your feet, finding yourself standing over Shen.

>A. Tell him to leave

>B. Bearshout

>C. Kamehameha

>D. Something else

>>A. Tell him to leave

Only thing we can do. If we kill him we will be banned from the tournament.

>D
"YOU CAME TO THE WRONG NEIGHBORHOOD MOTHERFUCKER"

>A. Tell him to leave

>A. Tell him to leave
Nobody else wants TRUE VIOLENCE at this point. I guess we all forget the Red Ribbon Saga and all the people we killed until King Piccolo shows up.

Whats the dc for intimidating glare that everyone can feel.

>You lift him off his feet and fall back, holding him over your shoulder and slamming him into the ground behind you as you land.
>You release your grip and get to your feet, finding yourself standing over Shen.

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta

>A
Finally a suplex noice

I would vote to kill him in an instant if we weren't at the tournament.

>intimidating glare

>Suplex him again, then A

80

I'm going for it with along with A.

ROLL

Glad you guys decided to come to the match. Otherwise it would have been Tien vs Goku, just like canon. Is Krillin wearing weighted clothes?

Rolled 66 (1d100)

Rolled 1 (1d001)

Rolled 61 (1d100)

Rolled 50 (1d100)

Why are we rolling?

Well, at least you tried

To be menacing

To see how intimidating our glare is.

I don't know, but this user isn't allowed to roll anymore

they hatin

But that didn't win.

>1d001
>001

You cheeky cunt

You need to learn to count som. There were four votes for telling him to leave and three for glaring.

We're doing both.

Doing both didn't win.

And you trying to false flag and start something isn't gong to win either.

Learn to count.

4 votes

2 votes for glaring. Not even two votes for telling him to leave and glaring.

So why he fuck are we rolling again?

God damn it

"Leave," you instruct Shen in the most stern voice you can give.

You try to add an intimidating glare, but you aren't sure it has the full effect you were going for.

Shen pushes himself back up, getting into a fighting stance and preparing to battle you again, despite what happened the last time.

Having defeated him before, you're confident you can do so again. You drop into a defensive stance and ready yourself for another round against the Crane Hermit.

Shen inches closer, but soon stops, glancing around nervously.

Chaozu is floating behind him, readying a Dodonpa.

Krillin and Chichi stand side by side just outside the ring, each of them looking ready for a fight.

Tenshinhan and Roshi come to stand on either side of you, dropping into fighting stances themselves.

Even Shen's not arrogant enough to believe he can win this battle.

"Fine, I will leave for now," the Crane Hermit tells you. "But I promise, one day I will have my revenge on all of you. And, when that day comes, your ends will not be swift."

Shen slowly lifts off the ground, floating high in the air above you all before turning and flying off, disappearing from sight soon after.

"Are these tournaments exciting or what?!" the announcer shouts into his microphone. "You saw it here, folks, the legendary Crane Hermit forced into a retreat by the Turtle School, Bear School, and even his own students! And, as stated previously, due to Shen's interference, Tenshinhan will be disqualified. The final match between Goku and Krillin will take place in four hours!"

The crowds begin to disperse, but your friends stay behind.

Roshi glares up in the direction the Crane Hermit departed in, and you're betting whatever he's thinking about his old friend isn't very good.

>A. Congratulate Krillin for making it to the finals

>B. Offer your sympathies to Tenshinhan

>C. Something else

I'm pretty sure people wouldn't put up with this shit during a fight so why should we put up with it now?

Letting som get away with this shit will just encourage him to do stuff like changing up what attacks we are using for a fight.

>B. Offer your sympathies to Tenshinhan

>>B. Offer your sympathies to Tenshinhan
"Perhaps you and Krillin can have a rematch sometime, clean with no interference."

>A. Congratulate Krillin for making it to the finals

>>B. Offer your sympathies to Tenshinhan

>A. Congratulate Krillin for making it to the finals
>B. Offer your sympathies to Tenshinhan
