So basically the same issues as every other 40k codex

5th edition DE were quite competetive

A lot of internal balance issues. Not the worst found in GeeDub books, but they were still there.

Starting a Dark Eldar project after finishing the the Path of the Dark Eldar series. Pissed of to find Geedubs got rid of all the best HQ models and replaced them with the shitty plastic ones.

They still have some of the best models but damn, the current Archon and Haemonculus models look like compared to the ones which came before.

What? it came out in 2008.

The one thing I like about the new Archon is that he's easier to customize since he's plastic.

I like that he is using a space marine drop pod model to suck souls or whatever he is doing.

For me the Archon is the epitome of gdubs.

Staggering incompetence. At no point could the two sections of the company responsible have even glanced at what the other was doing.

Not as much customization as late 3rd/Early 4th Ed books.

Venom spam, with 3 ravagers, jet bikes, and their flyers works well desu senpai. Honestly a good list. Glass cannonesque though.

Not to mention corpse thief claw is very good.

5th edition of 40k the game we are talking about in this thread came out in 2008 i distinctly remember because i started a few weeks after it came out

But user, fixing the Archon's pose is easy.

He's still standing on his tippy toes like a ballerina.

Why did they recast models instead of adding new ones? It was unnecessary for the HQs.

It's no longer the current codex.

Is better than the current Archon model yes. But so was the old Archon model.

It's not the arms that bug me about the new model. It's those legs and the back. It's so stiff and unnatural.

Oh, I'd kill for the Archon model that they use on the 7ed codex to be in plastic instead of finecrap, but we have to work with what we got.

It's better to just kitbash an Archon imo, unless you really like the cape.
