Wouldn't the Failure path on Soldier just be being dead?
It should be Survival or something to reach Veteran.

And why does Rogue become an official no matter what? Why not just Assassin and Spy? Also, spies assassinate too. Theft would lead to something like.. well, Master Thief.

Scholar I kind of get. Though if I wanted to add to it have Secrets lead to Occultist

I'd put the tentacle thing on a japanese school girl and label it multiclassing.

I'd take all the entry-level classes and have a branching graph of successes and failures.

Rouges and scholars can succeed or fail too.

Specialist -> probably still just a brigand.
Commander -> Warlord
Royal guard

Pickpocket -> Reject
Theif -> Convict
Rogue -> Brigand
Spy -> Double-agent
Spy Master
