(Short version: 2007 edition of the rulebook, 2010 Update, and Armada)
Revised is a set of fan-rules, written almost entirely by a Dark Eldar player. It shows.

Oh shit, finally.

What are the best upgrades for a brawler Gothic-class? What about favours?

I saw IN player in ranked that had AdMech ship. What the fuck? How bad can you be?

If it was a dauntless then it's totally worth it for the extra upgrade and skill.

But you still have to pay renown for them. The renown which is very limited and that you don't have enough to fit all the slots on your ships anyway much less those extra ones.

How do those chaos twin-linked lance-macro batteries work?

It's a lance and a macro cannon in the same system. You get more gunz, but you still have to upgrade them separately and you lose both when a weapon is destroyed.

But if I get lance range upgrade it shows +3k for both macro and lances. And you can stack macro and lance range upgrades on it for +6k to both systems.

In the same vein does the +100% lockon crit chance for lances affect macros in the twin linked slot?

I dunno, it was seperate upgrades the last time I checked.

How do I play Chaos for fun and not bomber-spamming+running silent?

Started out with a Gothic heavy IN lance fleet. Thought it would be a fun build to try out for a few matches.

Got paired with an all Acheron/Tzeentch Chaos player and an Eldar player. FFS matchmaking at least let me have a chance before crushing me.

Devs also seriously need to nerf the ability to take two battlebarges into a single match. If you're playing a brawler fleet and get matched against that, you might as well capitulate and save yourself the agony.

> not putting /BFGG/ in the title or even the name.

Goddamit OP, as if these threads didn't have pathetic traffic already.

So, what's new?
Last time i played SMs were still new.

Mainly just balance changes and bug fixes since then. Next faction coming are Tau in a few months.

The big news, as OP alludes, is that Ranked matches got implemented, and they don't even touch on the persistence aspect of the regular MP that turned a lot of people off.

Unless they've just introduced a new bug, the macros and lances in the twin-linked batteries take upgrades separately. Ignore the tooltips.

Lance or Strikecraft spam are the two heavy hitters of the Chaos meta. Like with all factions, you can deviate from the top-tier lists for fun, just don't expect to win much against an opponent using the best builds.

Lance spam... that seems like it's gonna suck balls vs Eldar. Are there a lot of Eldar players out there or are they seen as too difficult to use?

This means I can stop grinding Chaos ships max level? It was my only fleet not being on max.

Beside IN who else Brawled? Orks had Zzap spam, chaos had lance spam, Eldar had Pulsar Spam. Marines could just boarding torpedo them to death.

Orks should be brawling and ramming more now like they're supposed to with zzapguns finally nerfed.

Well, Tau are coming up at some point. So there's that to look forawrd to. I just hope they never ever even try to implement Necrons.

Im so glad they fix the ship glitch...

Oh no they didn't.

...

Jesus christ what

I have a feeling a lot of people will start playing Eldar now that they've seen how easy it is to abuse the Voidstalker. Before, not many people had the patience to get that far to make it worthwhile.

And yes, Lance spam isn't very good at all against Eldar, but Acheron-heavy fleets will run circles around pretty much every other race in the game.

The asshole cheated when I beat his BB and Strike Cruiser in a brawl. Fucking idiot. Brawling against IN.

Oh as Eldar I can choose to be defender in convoy missions. Easy wins.

Devs are dense or don't play the game.
