BUMPIN FOR YEUG!

Nevermind that, where's the abhuman bunnymen?

Perhaps if you summarized what was decided in the first thread.

Could anyone provide a link to an old thread?

How is Titan's Rest as a nAme for homeworld?

Flagship, only ship, is an Emperor class ship they carved out of a Space Hulk. Nobody is happy they own such a vessel but nobody is willing to try and take it off them. It is called The Hammer.

We never fucking decided on any of that faggot.
Ok, so the HUGE marines were the result of trying to cross ogryns and regular humans to get smart ogryns. The result was that cross breeds were a little bit dumber than regular humans, but were still ogryn sized. Well, somebody had the idea to make them space marines. Inorder to compensate for the softer brain meats, they're given the BONE 'ead treatment. This, combined with the intelligence boost from the gene seed implantation, means that HUGE marines are as smart as any human. Now, they are obsessed with the achievement of physical perfection through gains, but they aren't really affected by chaos. The downside though is that they can be convinced to betray the Imperium to join an Ork WAAAGH! And, like the Orkz, they just keep getting bigger as they workout and age. There is no limit for their size. The chapter name was decided as 'The Fists of Atlas' iirc. And due to the possible herectical nature of they're creation, they, and the regular crossbreed population, is watched over by a Battle-coven of Sisters. We haven't decided on whether or not the Chapter is fleet-based though.

>sister kindergarten teachers trying to control simple minded giants
Kek

>We never fucking decided on any of that faggot.

I was putting it forward as a suggestion.

Also I'm not too keen on the whole "never stops growing" thing. Make them Fuck Huge hell yes but not retardedly huge to that point.

The largest of their kind could have been Brother Wun-wun. A thirteen and a half foot tall monster who could beat orks to death with other orks and once beat a Squiggoth to death with a Chaos Lord. Known for wearing big thick adamantium plates, a big thick adamantium shield and a power axe.

The sisters are also part of the Chapter Master's advisory board.

For scouts I'm thinking that they use unaugmented hybrids on long term loan from their PDF/Imperial Guard. Predominantly women.

The men are big hulking Bear Mode slabs of muscle and bone. The women tend to go more towards ottermode. Relatively speaking.

They sometimes make use of off-worlders but off-worlders often don't understand the importance of the drive towards perfection in body and mind. Also they have trouble keeping up sometimes.

Their tactics, at least when fighting alone, tend towards the attrition style of the pre-heresy Death Guard. The slow advance, meticulous, methodical and totally unstoppable and soaking up damage that would fell lesser men.

It also helps that they can pic up a las-cannon, to them a holy weapon, and carry it easier than most guardsmen can carry a las-rifle.

Their idea of a heavy weapon tends to be things that would otherwise be considered stationary weapons. Or they just get two las-cannons, tape them together and get them to operate on a single trigger.

I know we agreed that HUGE Marines wouldn't use power armor because they were so good, but how about only the Chapter master has his custom power armor?

Not using power armour is fucking retarded

But power armor is expensive to make.
Imagine how expensive one would be for Marines that can grow higher than 10ft tall.

It was mentioned in the previous thread that they don't wear power armour because they can't get it in sized big enough without commissioning a custom job. And that is massively expensive when you need that sort of tech in that sort of size in that sort of quantity.

They have 1st company that are fully Power Armored minus the scouts. The other companies have one squad in power armour known as the Wrecking Ball squad.

Every new initiate is handed some sheets of adamantium and told to report to the Thunder Forge. They then have to beat out their own heavy carapace armour. USusally worn over flack and under a tabard made of some heavy and dense material. Colours and icons are worn on the tabard.

Would intentionally sculpting monstrous faces on their helmets be going to far?

A tad, yes.

Hows this for an idea for artillery

When they need to destroy something far away they get the duct tape, all of their grenades and such, stick it all together, slap a remote activated detonator on there and then kick it really hard. You then remotely arm the detonator whilst it's in mid flight.

It's all terrain, very portable and extremely quiet compared to other artillery pieces. It's also mildly amusing for onlookers.

I thought they lifted for aesthetics AND power

Depends on the marine.

The ones that are trying to be inspirational and such go more for aesthetics. They are the mad bastards who make their armour with sculpted abs and pecs on it.

Others just go for raw brute strength.

The "never stops growing" thing was basically wholly accepted in the first thread, but I think it would be fair to say that they don't grow as fast as Orkz. Like the Marines regularly grow to warboss size, and some even get as big as dreadnoughts, but they don't usually get past that. The Marines also specialize in heavy weaponry, but the heavy stuff like Las-cannons and Heavy bolters are the lightest weapons they use. Las-cannons, however, are considered holy weapons among the Marines since it was used by their patron saint Gav.Also, the Sisters aren't there to guide them, they are there to watch them. Their armor is self-made carapace armor, since making power armor to fit their massive frames would be ridiculously expensive to make, so the power aromr they DO get is limited to the First Company. I do like your ideas about their tactics and scout company however.

>patron saint Gav
Is this about the nice and funny but severely retarded australian guy?
I like him

No, he was an ogryn who did his duty to the Emperor. Look up his story "Gav and Bob" on 1d4chan

1d4chan.org/wiki/Gav_and_Bob

The OP pic is Gav and Arry

Maybe it's that the grow for a certain amount of time after their initial transformation into a marine but do eventually reach a full size.

1st company, the one with all the power armour, is full of old veterans who have finished growing. They aren't even considered for power armour until they reach full size.

We need example of victories and defeats to make them a little bit more relatable.

>wins
>open battles
>defefats
>everything in an enclosed space

So no no spacehulk cleaning?!

Sorry bro but you dun goofed.

In the confines of a space hulk they are unstoppable. The easiest way to defeat them is to go around them and out maneuver their big lumbering asses.

Not easy to do when it's a long corridor and they have a big fucking shield and a ripper gun.

They prefer open spaces because most ogryn are claustrophobic and they inherited a bit of that.

>sergeant, there's a door that's slightly smaller than the doorway
>Time to go home, ladies, the specialists will take care of this
>cue the scouts

>Sarge, the door is too small! Can we go home now?
>You shitting me? *CRUNCH CLANG* And now it's a proper sized door.
>Thanks Sarge.

>what's that sound sarge?
>it's the sound of victory, son
>Victory and escaping air, we are in a spaceship
>well luckily I packed an airtight helmet, what about you lads?
>haiwhdioahdaskhdlakshxlaskhdlkashdlasd

And that's how they learned about vacuums

Some say they have small, stunted abhumans as their serfs who clean for them
Others say they are normal humans and just seem small to them

>bork put that down
>you're not supposed to eat that Gak
>Holy Emp-
>THAT'S WHAT THE LATRINES ARE THERE FOR NUKNUK!

...squats?

Silly user, everybody knows there is no such thing as the "squat" just ask the next commissar for details

What do huge marines do to exercise the glutes then, smart guy?

>they aren't really affected by chaos. The downside though is that they can be convinced to betray the Imperium to join an Ork WAAAGH!
My sides have just betrayed the Imperium

>implying
their real, new ones got found last addition user, their a thing again, they just lack proper codex's right now.

So the number of organizations with a finger in this ogryn chapter pie seem to be as follows.

Initial training (age 4 - 14 ) is done by a non-militant order of Sororitas. The reasoning being they can instill loyalty and faith at an early age.

There is a 2nd militant order that of Sororitas that are stationed there to ensure that these creatures don't go Full Heretic and fuck them up if they do.

The Mechanicus, and lay-helpers, run their Fortress and keep the technology of their homeworld working because the average un-augmented hybrid isn't that good at technical stuff. Presumably there might also be some minimal presence by off-world Ecclesiarchy and Administratum among the population as well.

And the Emperor class war ship, a city in it's own right, is home to a traveling society of the Space Dwarves.

Oddly I'm fine with all of this.

Add to this potential shit storm the constant lure of the Ad-Mech and the Ecclesiarchy. Both offer political protection if they surrender authority to them completely. Both get told that the matter is "will be considered" in a manner that translates to "go fuck yourself".

Now the big question;
Whose gene-seed was used to create the marines in the first place? I do so hope it was ultramarines.

From previous thread.

>Legends tell of one HUEG marine trapped on a planet lost to the Orkz
>40 years later the same WAAAGH!!! is seen battling a Tyrinid Hive Fleet in another sector
>Being led by a HUEG marine
>Who took over by beating the Warboss to death in full view of the entire WAAAGH!!! before using the Warboss's corpse to beat another tenth of the WAAAGH!!! to death
>Remaining Orkz unanimously decided he was the new Warboss
>They paint themselves white and green to get stronger

Concerned with the marine's affiliation with Xenos, an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos sent a communique to the Waagh, stating "Give it up, Maximus Gains, we know it's you."

To which the warboss replied, "Nah bruh, it ain't me"

So which segmentum will they be located (Ultima so they can fight everyone or maybe Pacificus for the Eye of Terror)?

>Whose gene-seed was used to create the marines in the first place? I do so hope it was ultramarines.
Nah, imperial fists, obviously
Stubborn determination, fits perfectly

jhahaahaha
What thefuck

What are the chapter colours though?

I vote for Pacificus just so that by the end of the Dark Millennium their whole chapter is is caught at the moment of midnight 999M41 slamming straight into a marauders that slipped through the Cadian blockade.

Against veteran fallen marines forged in the hellish fires of The Long War in number greater than themselves. The ultimate gamble of now long dead Inquisitor Traela to see if these monsters she made are truly worthy.

When does Captain Zyzz appear?

Didn't they have to flee from their planet or some shit?
A space Hulk sounds like good refuge for good engineers

White and green according to that.

I would go with darkish green armour with white tabard. Or at least a tabard that starts out as white.

Hey! You forgot the last part which tied it to my post about them being immune to Eldar dickery through superior human HUEG-NESS and mucles.

Without the previous post or the picture it would have lacked context.

That is true, I should'a capped them for something like this, but I didn't think they were good enough for capping though.

Lovable retards always make me cry
Ogryns are the true heroes of 40k, too simple for doubt

The ones that fought for Horus during the heresy fought they were fighting against the true traitors because they were deceived by their heretical "commissars'.
Now that's what I call a tragedy!

4U

Thank you, brother

The only time I saw an entire class of children cry was at the end of Of Mice and Men.

;_;

Is there a Sgt."Bane" in the HUGE marines?

Sgt. Bein had part of his throat replaced after a particularly nasty genestealer decided to wrestle with him.
The genestealer bit Bein, but Bein bit back harder

But did they care for who he was before they replaced his throat?

It was only after he lost the throat that he was promoted
it was only after he lost his voice that he was heard by his brothers

There is now.

He's actually of about average size for the chapter. He's just a big guy compared to everyone else.

Look they already did a mini of him

Kind of funny there's a Banemarine among the natural strength focussed hugemarines considering the original villain was roided up like no one's business.

It's marines made from ogryn hybrids. If we can be a little flexible with one set of fluff we can be flexible with the other.

For stories of defeats or failures I think a serious concern would be both supply and the moving of troops.

While not super exciting, people (especially HUEG people) gotta eat, so if there was ever a seige senario, the Bulks would be susceptible.

As far as moving troops go, this is the same grimdark imperium that takes troops behind the shed after too many demon run ins. I can totally see them being punished/persecuted for being to unwieldy to respond to combat events too far away. Being a new chapter, they're are already on probationary status, so being an inquisitors bitch for a while is definitely on the table.

considering the dogged determination and blind faith of most ogryns they probably wouldn't even mind

Sad that nobody picked up the story of Gav to continue it yet

Really I think the storyended right where it should.

Would be interesting to see how the inquisitor went from Gav to the Marines Maximus though

>So go forth and tell of Gav's adventures as Traela's bodyguard.
It's been 6 years and nobody ever did

Are we too scurred to continue?

Sometimes a man leaves behind a legacy for his heirs to continue, just to find out in death that none of them consider themselves worthy to actually take up his mantle

It ended well.

This is not Hollywood. Not everything needs a pointless sequel.

Bamp

The author wanted it to go on though and set up the entire inquisitor ark just for that

Which author? There were at least 2 or 3. I was the first one responsible for about 1/2 of the first chapter but others took over and made great what was merely acceptable.

I was happy with the way it ended but then I was not involved with the last 2 chapters.

Chapter culture and attitudes I don't think are programmed into the gene-seed. Mortificators are 2nd founding Ultramarines for example.

For the lulz their gene-seed should be taken from the tithe of a chapter obsessed with genetic purity.

We need a list of HUEG names for the brothers.

We already have

Brother Wun-wun. Fuck huge even by Atlas' Arms standard. A walking wall clad in adamantium.

Brother Bain. Gene-Stealers ate his neck and most of his jaw. Has cybernetic replacement. Suffers from phantom limb syndrome in his missing jaw. It is extremely painful.

Glutimus Maximus who infiltrated and took control of an entire Ork WAAAGH!!! and to this day has kept it ploughing into a hive fleet.

St Gav the founder.

Also Bob the martyr.

Said it last time, but we need a FMA Armstrong cameo, surely.
HIS WARGEAR HAS BEEN PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY LINE FOR GENERATIONS.

Maybe a punch wizard librarian.

It was mentioned in the last thread that maybe the genetic quirks of their engineered race don't react well to the psyker gene.

Psykers are born as human throwbacks. And usually small and weedy manlets at that.

They can't pass the physical tests to become a Marine even if they have genetic compatibility.

Instead they must focus on psychic gains.

Guy Doomstratus, who survived some serious Warp Fuckery on a planet nearly engulfed in a Warp Storm by resolving the issue in classic Huge Marine fashion:

Slaughtering Daemons with his Fists and Heavy artillery.

Didn't we agree that these guys don't field tanks? They instead carry Tower Shields and and form a Roman Phalanx, then carry Massive artillery on their backs?

>carry Massive artillery
They duct tape a bunch of shells together, and then dropkick the kludged together mess

>their grenades are Earthshaker rounds tied together and stuck to a discarded basilisk barrel

What should be the name of the sororitas convent set guarding them?

The Order of the Watchful Eye? Or if we're going the teacher route, The Order of the Guiding Hand?

Sisters of Mirin'

Didn't we agree that virtually every 80's action hero was a member? Including Arnold?

Ah yes the Sisters of Mirin named after the Sain't Mirian the first sororitas that came from the HUGE Marines homeplanet.

For context
suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/48444329/

Brother-Sergeant Arnold "The Terminator". Heavily rebuilt with cybernetics after a run in with Necrons with knives for fingers. It is up to debate exactly how much of him is still living flesh. The general belief is not very much. Considered one of the Chapter elders despite his low rank.

Brain damaged battle brother with a rattling on his shoulder. One does the lifting, one does the thinking. Together they kill orks.

How recent is the term Warp Fuckery?
I found it mainly used in those Pathetic Marines threads

As old as Veeky Forums. It goes in and out of favour.

The One of the third thread which seems to have been the one who did the second thread as well according to the archive
So the two best chapters are by the guy who specifically wrote that he wanted people to expand it

Actually the whole stubbornness shit IS part of the geneseed according to lexicanum

Look it up, broski

So do they have fighting spirits like STANDS?

Yes
Maybe

BUMP
