DEFF SKWADRON FOLLOW UP WHEN?

Are there many Warhammer Fantasy/40K comics? The only ones I've seen seem quite old... which now that I think of it seems really strange to me. The settings are bursting with visually neat stuff, and comics are less complicated for them to produce than something like a tv series or a movie.
Are there a bunch I just haven't heard of? If not why do you suppose they don't do them?
There are quite a lot. Rather old, about 10 years old for most of them.
I know that the HH general used to have a mega link with plenty if not all of them, but I think it went kaboom for no reason.
I know that GW has been re-editing the old ones this year, I bought Deff Skwadron in my local GW. Pretty sure you can either find them online to read for free, or you can look on Black Library, they are probably being sold there as well.
Damnation Crusade, Deff Skwadron and the Redeemer are my 3 favorites, and widely recognised as some of the best 40k comics we have if you want to start.
Inferno! and Warhammer Monthly both ran comics. They've also put out a few between and afterwards, including a couple for the Horus Heresy.
>why do you suppose they don't do them?
Paying an artist to do that much work is more expensive than paying an author to write a book, I guess. Or more likely they just forgot about them until now.
Huh, they're returning White Dwarf to monthly? Guess they overestimated interest in their weekly mini-catalogue.
Silly user, you have to keep up with the news, go and like the official fb pages for 40k, FW, WD, BL and AoS, or at least the ones that interest you.
GW has taken a turn for the much better recently concerning their community.
As to the WD monthly:
So, after yesterday’s announcement, it seems there are a few questions some of of you are asking. Well, here’s the info…
1. What’s the price of the new White Dwarf?
The cover price of the new 156-page White Dwarf will be:
UK £5.99 | Euro €8 | Poland 30zł | Switzerland 14CHF | Sweden 70kr | Norway 65kr | Denmark 60kr
USA $9 | Canada $12 | Australia $15 | New Zealand $18
Japan ¥1,400 | China ¥60 | Hong Kong HK$82 | Malaysia RM37 | Singapore SG$14
(So, as you can see, the early-bird subscriptions really are a great saving. Check them out at: www.games-workshop.com.)
2. Will there be a digital edition?
Yes, absolutely! More news coming soon. (If you have a current digital subscription which ends after the end of July, then at that time please contact your local customer service team by phone or email and we'll see you right.)
3. Will I be able to get White Dwarf in my local newsagents?
White Dwarf will be available from all Games Workshop and Warhammer stores, independent stockists and – as the old saying goes – the better sort of newsagents everywhere. Ask them to order it.
4. What languages will the new White Dwarf be published in?
English, French and German.
Forgot the screenshot.
Running their own in-house comic publishing was too expensive for little gain, comics have never been super profitable. What they're doing now is a licensing deal, letting a legit comic publisher produce and release Warhammer comics. It takes the cost of production off GW's shoulders while still netting them some profit in royalties and licensing.
it better not suck
