i love the idea of liveform specifically created to serve as a kind of suit or armor that take your sweat and create with fotosynthesis food in problematik situation and use your excretion for growing and also for fotosynthesis(minerals and so on)

Check out the Yuuzhan Vong from the New Jedi Order series.

There's actually a game that heavily features organic technology; Cthulu Tech. I never played so I don't know if the game is good or not but it actually sources Guyver as a source of inspiration.

Check out the anime Genocyber, released by Manga Entertainment.

Another awesome and fun one is Splicers. Palladium based, but with portions streamlined. Lots of bio-tech power armor and such.
