>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a sixteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

Yes Soms back

It's been a tough few days, but you've already made some impressive progress under the guidance of Mr. Popo.

You've learned how to relax your mind, to be more in tune with your body. Because of this, you've discovered simple ways you were wasting energy, and with some hard work, were able to correct those mistakes.

Now, you're dashing around the Lookout at your top speed, and unlike a few days ago, you aren't leaving a trail behind for enemies to follow. By keeping your energy in check, you think you may have gained a small increase in speed as well.

If you've improved this much in less than a week, who knows what you can accomplish in three years?

Goku, meanwhile, continues to search for Popo. The blindfold on his face obstructs his sight, and Popo seems to have taken away the option of simply using his ears by tying one bell to himself, and one to a cat, which scurries around the Lookout and constantly rings the bell.

Beyond that, Popo is keeping his energy well hidden, meaning Goku can't just sense for him, either.

With all this, you aren't quite sure how Popo expects Goku to find him.

>A. Go over and ask Popo what the point of this is

>B. Sit down and watch them

>C. Go look for Kami

>D. Something else

Let's suplex Popo in our rematch.

>sit and try to find Popo with our eyes closed

Ha, no

>>A. Go over and ask Popo what the point of this is

And there's the TFS shilling for the thread

I've realized that all my bulmafagging was wrong. And now it's far too late to go after best girl.

Hey, you can at least be happy for Krillin, right?

>A. Go over and ask Popo what the point of this is
Hopefully he wull give us a hint on what to focus on

Considering the kind of no fun allowed wife she turns into, we dodged a bullet.

Making some assumptions there, you've changed a lot, she won't be exactly how she was in canon

I am happy for Krillin he deserves it

Yeah, she doesn't have a husband who only cares about training, or forgot her and disappeared from her life for an extended time.

3-way tie

That's a good point. A huge reason she was the way she was is because Goku just fucked off randomly all the time and ignored her. Krillin is a reasonable dude that won't give her a heart attack when he lets their kids get kidnapped or whatever all the time.

He also won't eat her out of house and home, and he'll be there for any kids they have.

Yeah, Goku loved his kids in canon, but he wasn't exactly the best father

Just roll a dice.

Fuck it, I'm gonna combine these

Stopping your running for the moment, you walk toward Popo and Goku, taking a seat in front of one of Popo's many flowerbeds, and watching them.

Goku wanders pretty aimlessly, attempting to guide himself much like a person in the dark would, by holding his hands out in front of him and feeling around. If the Lookout wasn't so huge, there'd be a serious risk of him falling off.

With Popo concealing his energy, and the cat running around with a bell attached to its tail, you seriously don't understand how Goku is supposed to find Popo.

The dark man intentionally rings his bell on occasion, which adds to Goku's confusion as the cat moves around and does the same.

Wanting to see if you'll fare any better, you close your eyes and attempt to clear your mind, searching for Popo's energy. But, just as you suspected, he's hiding it far too well.

What's more, the constant ringing of the bells from different directions assails your ears, and your mind instinctively tries to figure out where each sound is coming from, interfering with your concentration.

In this case, you have no more hope than Goku does.

>A. Approach Popo and ask how Goku is supposed to find him

>B. Challenge Popo

>C. Something else

>A

>>A. Approach Popo and ask how Goku is supposed to find him

>>A. Approach Popo and ask how Goku is supposed to find him
Isn't asking just counterproductive to Goku learning, meaning that Popo will just tell us to figure it out ourselves?

oops left that on

No, he wants Goku to understand the concept as well, Goku just runs headlong into everything, generally without thinking it through. So he'll let Goku mess up for a bit, then explain it to him once the kid finally thinks to ask.

Or,if you ask

Not to mention Krillin's basically going to become a king and considering how clever he was in canon, the ox king's village is going prosper from him ruling.

More likely he'll tell us what it is suppose to achieve, and we can attempt it.

Ox King doesn't technically rule that village, he and his daughter are just considered respected and wealthy members of that community.

Krillin for mayor!

So we'll speed up the training some.

This seems impossible. Between the blindfold, the noise from all directions, and Popo hiding his energy, it doesn't seem like there's any way Goku could possibly succeed here.

You pick yourself off the ground and walk over to Popo, who continues to watch Goku blindly attempt to navigate the Lookout. As you get closer, his eyes shift to look at you, though his head doesn't turn.

"Yes?" he asks.

Goku freezes in his tracks, turning toward Popo's voice and rushing over.

"I've got you now, Mr Popo!" your friend declares as he swiftly closes the gap between the two of them.

At the last moment, Popo steps out of Goku's way, somehow managing not to ring the bell as he does so.

Goku continues running, while Popo looks at you expectantly.

"How's Goku supposed to find you?" you ask.

You recieve no answer beyond a smile from Mr. Popo, who turns, putting his back to Goku.

"Right now, Goku is staying in one spot," Popo tells you. "He's turning his head to his right, now left, now right again."

Your eyes shift to Goku, who is acting just as Mr. Popo describes.

"He's turning around now," Popo continues, and you see that Goku is doing exactly that.

>A. Ask how Popo knows that

>B. You don't get how that answers your question

>C. Ask if he's sensing Goku's energy

>D. Something else

>Are you reading Goku's mind like Korin?

"Is it something similar to what Korin said about watching your opponents breathing?"

Maybe, Chichi will want him to get a job despite him being rich

DC to sit down and try to sense Popo's energy?

"How are you doing that?" you ask Popo, a few possibilities running through your mind. "Are you sensing his energy?"

Popo doesn't answer, just smiling.

"Are you reading his mind like Korin?" you guess again.

Once more, Popo does not answer.

"Is it something like what Korin said about watching your opponents breathing?" you ask, really wanting to know how he does something like that.

"That's a bit closer to it," Popo answers. "Goku does not do well at concealing his energy, but to sense exactly what he's doing is a bit more difficult. Every movement he makes creates vibrations in the air, and by sensing those vibrations, I can tell what he's doing. I can tell when he's about to strike, or when he's completely calmed. His breathing is a part of that, but only a part."

>A. Ask how you can sense vibrations in the air

>B. Ask if it's possible to keep someone from tracking you that way

But Bulma isn't even here

>A.
>B.

DC to convince Bulma to visit us on the Lookout every once in a while?

She's here in our heart.

Making a lotta assumptions there SOM

She would if she could, but Kami wouldn't allow it

Lazuli isn't here either

And even if she was, good luck

True enough

Anons don't want to bother to put in the effort for Lazuli. Which is fair enough, I mean she's as social as a relevant analogy.

Popo's way of tracking Goku seems almost too incredible to be true. But, assuming Popo is doing what he says he is, then it's definitely something worth learning.

Deciding to give it a try, you close your eyes and clear your mind, attempting to feel the air all around you. You can feel the breeze quite clearly as you focus on it, and even notice the occasional change in vibration. But, you can't tell what the different vibrations signify.

A few times, you try making guesses, but it ultimately fails as you open your eyes to find Goku something different from what you'd expected.

Eventually, you decide to give up, and look over at Popo.

"So, is there a way to keep people from using this to track me?" you ask.

Popo nods. "If you're better at it than they are, you can anticipate their moves faster than they can anticipate yours. And, if you move fast enough, they won't be able to read your movements in enough time to react."

>A. Give it another try (88)

Oh shit! They wished every one killed by Piccolo back, right? Cause if the announcer stayed dead, we're blowing up Namek.

410, not bad

The only way you're going to succeed at this is by practicing it, so leave Popo and Goku to their training, heading off on your own to a space some distance away, and attempting to read their movements from a distance.

You don't manage to do it on that day, but you believe you've made some progress, and that, given time, you will succeed.

Goku and Popo keep at it for some time, until the two of them seem to get into some kind of argument. Ultimately, Goku says something about Kami, and the two of them disappear inside, with Popo not returning until late in the evening.

Goku still has his tail and the moon is still intact right? Speaking of the moon we should find Monster Rabbit and kill him, he's kind of a dangerous twat.
