How the hell can you say you can't actually be lawful and good? What the hell?

Because they're using hyperbole to make fun of paizo. Some paizo writers prefer chaotic characters over lawful, and it shows in some of their works.

Apart from it isn't hyperbole, that's /literally/ what JJ believes.

I didn't know you put it here but I posted one of the screencaps of his winning personality. Lawful characters are evil goberment monsters that want to control your life and Big Brother and look at my spunky CG heroines with giant charisma scores and a +5 to Will save.

OH HERE'S ANOTHER.

How to make a wizard that praises kek? Mindscape shenanigans?

Where were you when DSP and Dawnborn btfo'd Paizo.

I don't know this meme.

Yeah, okay

I think I'd agree with him on Mengkare, I also think it'd be more interesting if he wasn't lawful good. At the very least I think his view on alignments don't match up with mine, but that's a problem with the alignment system as a whole.

Are you going to do this every thread?

They fell for the rules lite fad and are now competing in the most oversaturated market since sliced bread.

...

Hey man, you can't talk shit about my favorite company like that.

>I think I'd agree with him on Mengkare, I also think it'd be more interesting if he wasn't lawful good. At the very least I think his view on alignments don't match up with mine, but that's a problem with the alignment system as a whole.

The moment Mengkare is switched from Lawful Good is the moment Paizo gets the green-light on running an AP featuring Hermea and turning it into an "all are welcome, all are equal" society.

The wonderbread creators are a shit company.

Gingerbread Gestalt user from last thread, still more questions
I heard that there's only one good build for Companion Homunculus from Promethean Alchemist, but what exactly is said build?
Also, since I'm going to be a Gestalt witch with that gingerbread familiar, is there any useful way for my familiar to possible help around and aid my homunculus

It's honestly kind of frightening how childish those conversations read.

"Oh please sweet babies we're having a positive discussion, let's continue it!"

Maybe, I don't personally care for paizo's writing. I still think that he, the society, and the island are more interesting if he's not LG.

Somehow Veeky Forums ate my pic

So solely from a mechanics perspective, how does /pfg/ feel about this attempt to remake magical tail? pastebin.com/3nBQCeS0

Jesus H. Christ

I assume it's Promethean Preservationist.

I know that bit, but how does one pick out feats and build stuff for the homunculus itself?

Why...

Okay, give me the scoop /pfg/

What are the best Constructs to make with the Craft Construct feat? Best to make at different CL/game stages?

Terracotta Soldiers.
teamwork feats make them tear people's assholes open at any stage of the game, and they're the least level-taxing construct to craft.

Anyone have a screencap of Shensen's statistics? I need to hurt innocent people with it.

Tupilaq!

Animated Objects or Terracotta Soldiers,

DROW ARE BORN WITH CROSSBOWS IN THEIR HANDS!

Reposting in this thread: page 212 of Horror Adventures definitively states a single act of torture, no matter how kid gloves, drops you one step closer to evil, full stop.

Additionally, three castings of Infernal Healing, even from a wand, will knock the most stalwart paladin to evil.

See related image.

After killing their siblings in utero.

That's the old one. In the updated one she has an archetype, and she was a Drow NOBLE.

Hmm, I don't remember ever seeing her as a drow noble.

>ITT:
>SKR being the voice of reason
>Morons not realizing that if the belt was put on literally anyone but a particular type of transgender person, it would induce incredible amounts of really shitty dysphoria
>might not even work for people who seek it out to help alleviate their existing dysphoria
>so, the definition of a cursed item
>alternate RAW option where the belt only affects their GENDER, and is a fairly horrifying curse no matter who touches it

I am really, really pissed that these idiots are the people the internet chose to represent this minority I'm stuck being a part of.

And then you remember that, since you're hopefully playing with a group of friends, you'll be able to tell them "That rule is stupid because blah" and everything will be fine because it's a game about roleplaying and not rulefuckery.

But user, it's not a cursed item because .15% of the population would actually want to wear it.

Who cares if 99.85% of the population would consider it a curse?

It just says torture makes you evil. I don't think we'd find many people that disagree with that. And casting evil spells has always been an evil act.

Well here's the new one.

Not gonna lie, I'd probably waifu her just to force the DM to roleplay her more.

Citation on the Infernal Healing bit? Is this the thing from JJ or something from Horror Adventures?

It's actually never been stated as such except in dev posts and here I guess, and in fact only ever mattered at all to clerics of certain alignments.

Even seeing that sarcastically hurts me.

>she retains proficiency in the hand crossbow and poison use

What if you slapped two of them on someone? Is it cursed then?

Is the Mooncursed Barbarian from Horror a shit Archetype?

It replaces Rage bonuses with Beast Shape bonuses, so it's definitely a downgrade. That said, it might offer a non-totem method of acquiring Pounce, depending on how hybrid rage works.

Top left corner bit.
Evil Spells
>This section includes a large number of evil spells. Casting an evil spell is an evil act, but for most characters simply casting such a spell once isn’t enough to change her alignment; this only occurs if the spell is used for a truly abhorrent act, or if the caster established a pattern of casting evil spells over a long period. A wizard who uses animate dead to create guardians for defenseless people won’t turn evil, but he will if he does it over and over again. The GM decides whether the character’s alignment changes, but typically casting two evil spells is enough to turn a good creature nongood, and three or more evils spells move the caster from nongood to evil. The greater the amount of time between castings, the less likely alignment will change. Some spells require sacrificing a sentient creature, a major evil act that makes the caster evil in almost every circumstance.

>Those who are forbidden from casting spells with an opposed alignment might lose their divine abilities if they circumvent that restriction (via Use Magic Device, for example), depending on how strict their deities are.

>Though this advice talks about evil spells, it also applies to spells with other alignment descriptors.

I wouldn't worry about turning evil because of that. After all, you can apparently just cast three [Good] spells and become good again.

Between avenger and stalker vigilantes, is one objectively better? I'd be inclined to go with stalker just for sneak attack and twisting fear, but fist of the avenger and pounce seems great too.

This does make sense though, you splerg.

What is it with JJ waifu characters and having mithral weapons? It isn't a particularly huge advantage on its own, but it's a detail that seems to be an odd hallmark of his characters.

I mean, I'm not complaining that Ameiko has one in Jade Regent, but that's mostly because my Bushi took her on as a cohort, and granting silver vulnerability is way easier with Mithral Current around.

Only one works. Typical magical item rules.

It's a neat fluff thing for a character, I imagine.

Doesn't it lose its magic as soon as the curse takes hold? That means the second one would then attempt to work.

Mithral seems like a natural "high-end" material to make your weapons out of.

All the best weapons are made out of Mithral; light as a feather, sharp as a razor, very shiny, what's not to love?

Wish I could purge this people from Pathfinder.

>>might not even work for people who seek it out to help alleviate their existing dysphoria
Now that's a REALLY asshole wizard.

Me and my Dm were reading this shit yesterday and we just said : Fuck it lets use common sense. I don't trust Paizo on that shit anymore.

What's the general consensus on horror adventures?

It's shit. Hope Legacy of Dragons at least have some salvageable feats and magic items.

Teamwork Feats on a Construct?

But they need the Feat as well, you can't just take the Teamwork feat yourself and then use it on the Construct, that's now how they work unless you start creating constructs through taking levels of Wizard AND pick up a few levels in Holy Tactician or something similar.

Unless I am missing something or you have a teammate who is just there to give out his Teamwork Feats.

A few nifty character options, but otherwise REALLY unimpressive.

Nope. It's bad for the most part, Draconic heritages are good for a pick up because it is a lot of minor bonuses for one feat, but for the most part, the book is complete trash.

How you manage to pump 2 shitty books at once ?

Its okay. Its obviously crippled by many Paizo-isms, but it still has a lot more solid and interesting content than anything else they've made in a long time.

No, LotD is even worse than HA

>How you manage to pump 2 shitty books at once?

Paizo's falling apart?

That sounds pretty easy.

Gingerbread witch is honestly so retarded I'm going to drop it on all of my friends until they decide to quit pathfinder for good.

You can spend extra gold to power up your constructs with things like stat ups. Terracotta soldiers have the unique ability among constructs to get feats due to their improved intelligence level. As a result you can just throw gold at them to give them feats. It's why it's an "optimized tactic" to just pool a bunch of gold into making a squad of terracotta soldiers with teamwork feats because they usually wreck house.

In what ways is HA shit?

They also get bonuses for just being fucking adjacant to eachother.

How is Paizo doing as a business?

If you don't want the homunculus to be a combatant, you're kind of shit out of luck. There's not a hell of a lot of things the homunculus qualifies for. You could get a valet familiar and just take a bunch of teamwork feats or something, I don't know.

It's almost like the Promethean alchemist should have gotten more stuff to customize its homunculus so you could use it as more than just an extra body to throw down summon extracts, or to pray you could natural attack things.

Well all the archetypes are weaker compared to the base classes, fleshcraft has retarded penalties and high cost besides lol evil requirement, corruption system is mediocre at best and all the corruption ends in lol reroll another character and no meaningful magic items or feats just garbage that will add more in the pile that will hinder your character.

gingerbread witch of folca

It's in the OP if you want to read it.

The possessed one is actually kind of neat, since if you lose, the spirit takes you over, but still has the possessed corruption with you as the spirit. So when it temporarily loses control or hits level 3, you're what pops back up. It's kinda neat.

So if I'm bad at math can I still play a Wizard?

Hey hey, vampiric weapons got a buff! Instead of being a +2 for 2d6 healing 3 times it's now only +1 for 2x your HD in healing max through the day (half the weapon damage when used!) They also made a greater version which heals up to 5x your HD in healing
God damn if it wasn't complete shit before. What the hell were they thinking when they released that? Not that I think it's worth it now.

There are sacred geometry calculator applications, so no, everyone can be a ridiculous better than Mythic character as a Wizard now.

>even shittier kineticist archetype
>Meh and weak archetypes, and the few good ones often require you to be evhul because lol reasons with notable exceptions
>horribly restrictive Fleshcrafting that autoevil despite there being a whole city in Golarion dedicated to using it as a basic medical practice
>Corruption is just another prolonged form of character death thats also slightly confusing to parse the first time through
>A lot of ho-hum optional rules
Still, it still has some fun content, especially a small number of archetypes, some of the feats, and a few new items both magical and benign.

Seriously I almost punched my computer screen when I saw it, who is the retard responsible for the balance?

There's some nice spells for people who want to be obviously evil.

I prefer Cold Iron.

Apparently I'm retarded, for Craft Construct is the CL listed in the crafting requirements really what I have to be to craft one? if so, doesn't it seem kinda silly that you have to wait until pretty high levels to craft constructs that are around 1/4 you CR?

And if they decide they want to be good again, they can just cast Protection From Evil or any other Good spell three times, and boom, alignment goes full circle. Because that's how it works now, apparently.

You can add 5 to the DC to skip the CL requirement, I think.

Cold Iron is a shitty metal used by plebs.

Mithral is canonically the material for high-test adventurers, Adamantine is for people trying too hard.

Five times. twice to go neutral from evil, and 3 to go good from neutral.

I'll take that. Ice Golem Refridgerator and Animated Wagon here I come.

No. Look up the Magic Crafting rules.

CL is difficulty to craft, each spell you don't know increases difficulty.

Not that it is hard to actually create things with a Spellcraft Check anyway if you are a crafter.

[5 + CL] + [5xUnknown Spells]= Difficulty to craft.

I mean more in a less 'manipulate alignment' sense.

Sometimes you want to play someone who is just so very very evil and their spells and equipment are obviously evil too.

Shit like BLOOD WAVE and THE MOUTHS ON YOUR HANDS

"Listen, I only grew mouths on my hands so I could talk and eat at the same time without being rude. I got sick and tired of people asking me questions mid-bite."

Oh? I thought it was just twice to hit neutral, and the third to hit the opposite end. My mistake.

>Mouth on your hands
>Evil

Why? There is nothing evil about just having hand-mouths so you can just eat from your hands instead of using utensils.

>I only grew mouths on my hands so I could talk and eat at the same time without being rude.

God, imagine the blowjobs you could give with mouth-palms.

...

>mouth on your hands

Go home Deidara.

Usually I despise the turn everything fuckable but I just thought about that video "7 vaginas" and I'm trying to recover my sides

Imagine the ones you could give to yourself!
