Roll up an Inquisitor

Was thinking of making an inquisitor character for a fanmade sector.

Shall we start with 1d100 for gender?

pic was somewhat related.

Rolled 41 (1d100)

Male: Majority of the inquisition seems to be male

now another 1d100 for age

Rolled 69 (1d100)

Venerable (150-250): By now an Inquisitor may be (in)famous and have cemented their reputations.

1d100 for what ordo we belong to.

Rolled 29 (1d100)

Ordo Hereticus: The largest of the Ordos, an Inquisitor of the Hereticus seeks out mutants, traitors and rogue psykers across the Imperium.
We're gonna burn us some heretics.

now, roll 1d3 to determine how many options from the ranks table we get

Rolled 2 (1d3)

right, then roll 2d100

Rolled 68, 47 = 115 (2d100)

Nobility: Sir, Lord, Duke, Count, Boyar, Fürst, Emir, Sheikh, etc. are all titles that could be held in the Imperium, showing the Inquisitor has either come from a noble line, could have been awarded it or has simply usurped it from a previous (no doubt heretical and deceased) holder.

and

Miscellaneous: This could be pretty much anything, as in nick-names or popular names granted by compatriots or enemies, and so are usually informalities left out of official documentation. Examples include Psykerbane, Lucky, Warhound, Thrice-Blessed or names ending in the end (such as the Invincible, the Pure, the Cursed, etc).

Go ahead, come up with something.

also, 1d100 for what philosophy they have.

Rolled 61 (1d100)

Moderate: Inquisitors of a moderate bent are neither frothing fanatics nor entirely sceptical figures, preferring the middle path in their investigations. They do not condone the use of non-Imperial weaponry, but they are not big on mass burnings at the stake either.

So, apparently we're the sane ones in a galaxy gone mad.

now, another 1d3 for methodology

Rolled 3 (1d3)

alright then, roll 3d100

Rolled 72, 32, 1 = 105 (3d100)

Rolled 87, 74, 67 = 228 (3d100)

Officium Primum (Duty First): Duty is everything to some people, taking precedence over all other aspects of their life. Sense of a task well done and accomplishment of duty is all to this person.

and

Nemo Est Supra Leges (No man is above the law): Title and affiliation are nothing to this Inquisitor, to whom before their lord and master all are equal. May persecute other Inquisitors they think have strayed.

and

Exitus Acta Probat (The end justifies the means): Will go to any length to achieve their goal, no matter the moral implications of blackmailing colleagues, murdering innocents or even selling their own soul!

now, roll 1d100 for psychic abilities.

Rolled 4 (1d100)

Rolled 10 (1d100)

well, no psychic power for us.

now roll another 1d3

Rolled 3 (1d3)

wow, three quirks? this may not be good...

roll 3d100

Rolled 56, 81, 3 = 140 (3d100)

We'll see what happens. Variety is the spice of life.

Rolled 146, 114, 74 = 334 (3d300)

Rolled 49, 62, 70 = 181 (3d100)

Heavily augmented: Either through personal choice or cruel fate, the Inquisitor is covered in bionic implants and replacements.

and

Artistic talent: Cooking, painting or music are all possible avenues of exploration for the talented artist.

and

Grotesque: Either through misfortune of birth, plastic surgery or misfortune in the line of duty, the Inquisitor is horribly ugly.

well, there it is.

now 1d5 for benefits.

Rolled 5 (1d5)

alright, 5 benefits, eh?

5d100, you lucky bastard

Link to Table you're using Op?

1d4chan.org/wiki/Inquisitor_Creation_Tables

Rolled 81, 7, 61, 55, 36 = 240 (5d100)

Rolled 98, 54, 59, 21, 85 = 317 (5d100)

Ties with: The Inquisitor is well-connected, and can call upon various organisations to assist them, be it the might of an Astartes Chapter or the unique skills of an Administratum archivist. Roll on the 'Ties with' table.

and

Unarmed spaceship: Roll on the 'Unarmed spaceship' table.

and

Archivists: The Inquisitor has a retinue of lexmechanics, archivists and savants to sift through data and bring their considerable knowledge to use.

and

Generic psionic resource: This could be a sanctioned telekine or an untouchable, astropaths and even navigators could be included here.

and

Forbidden tomes: The Inquisitor keeps proscribed texts.

well well well,

now we got to roll for ties and our space ship.

roll 2d100

Rolled 28, 75 = 103 (2d100)

Ooh baby

Rolled 40, 52 = 92 (2d100)

Administratum: Bureaucrats, archivists and logisters, the staff of the Administratum possess a great deal of information; they simply need to be told where to look.

and

Mercantile: A merchant ship that has been pressed into service for a variety of reasons its large hold may have been converted into a library, for example, or the Inquisitor may be undercover as a merchant.
and that concludes the rolling portion for this inquisitor.

anyone care to take a gander as to what fluff he's got?

So we've got a really old man, who works for the ordo hereticus as a moderately minded inquisitor. He is noble and has a nickname, which he may have earned that he puts his duty above all else, including the titles and positions of others and the moral implications of his actions. He's not a psyker, but he is artistically talented and grotesque due to heavy augmentation. Finally, he has ties with the administratum and a merchant ship in which you'll find his archivists, forbidden tomes, and some psionic resource (helpful since he has no ability of his own).

What should we call him?

Meredith Goritzov

Viscount Wilfred van Owen, The Crimson Bull

I like these both. What was his home world?

>The Crimson Patisserie
Fixed that for you.

roll 2d100 and find out.

Rolled 11, 59 = 70 (2d100)

Rolled 12, 75 = 87 (2d100)

he came from an Ice Hive world.

we could make his actual name wilfred, but a cover name be meredith.

Even better!

>Meredith
Isn't that a female name?

yes. that was kind of the point.

The amount of cybernetic augmentics he has, combined with his extremely old age, have disfigured him to the point where he's an androgenous figure.

Or because of all the forbidden text he kept may have slowly driven a bit insane, along with age and cybernetics.

picking a female name may make you sound less intimidating and/or innocuous.

just hope they never see you in the flesh.

Besides, sometimes guys get girl names in real life.

That's an old one. I'll make a more modern one that fits what Veeky Forums wants better later this week. Replace the Corruption with Ethos (Radical/Puritan), reword Reputation to be clearer.
