...a legal 3-person link team? Army builder says that Kusanagi can join a Fireteam:Core of Moiras+1 Healer, but do I have to have a minimum of 3 Moiras to qualify it as a Fireteam:Core of Moiras in the first place?
Michael Evans
A fireteam minimum is 2 for Core....But why waste the Core slot for only 3?
Oliver Jones
Mostly because Moira links are ludicrously expensive an linking 3 of them together at least lets me drag 2 other minis up the board with me per order. I'm playing in an ITS this weekend that includes Tic-tac-toe, which absolutely punishes low order count/low specialist count armies since there's so many antennas you need to synch up. I have a 5-Moira link list that's just fine for the other three scenarios, but for T/T/T I need the points free for the EVO hacker and a whole lot of specialists. Here's roughly what I'm looking at.
I'm also trying to get a list with a Fireteam: Core of 3 Moiras and a Haris link of 3 Riot Grrls to work, but I don't actually think it can be done efficiently in 300 points.
For what it's worth, I expect to play against Haqqislam, since about half my meta is made of Haqq players (mostly vanilla, a few Qapu), with the rest even split between Nomads, ALEPH, and PanO.
Lincoln Myers
New player picking up Military Orders. I know the current meta doesn't favor knights/heavy infantry but I want to make it work. How does this list look? Don't go easy on me either.
Running the Santiagos and Magisters as a link fyi.
Grayson Martinez
List is fine. But put more people into that first group. Perhaps leave the Paramedic by himself in group 2, to be a substitute order in case of casualties.
You want that fireteam group and the TO infiltrators to have the orders they need to get shit done.
James Richardson
FYI: Your lieutenant will die a horrible death since he's the only valid lieutenant option, and the enemy will gun for him directly for that reason. Keep him alive.
James Moore
One thing I'm hating with MO list building. There aren't many "safe" lieutenant" options. I can take a fusilier but that's obvious too.
Christopher Gomez
thank you I'll do this. This'll work alright in ITS missions you think?
Elijah Wright
I wonder if one of the new MRRF units will be something akin to the FFL.
Caleb Anderson
Is it viable to ever run the full box that you buy? I mean, like, could the new Djanbazan box be used in its entirety and also be useful?
Mason Rivera
First rule of thumb is to have 10 orders in your main combat group at 300 points. Move your Order SGT and your Spec SGT out of Group 2 and put them in 1. Having a single extra combat group just for a TR remote is a common play, and there's nothing wrong with it. Plant the bot somewhere annoying to your opponent and it doesn't have to move and spend orders.
You'll probably get more use out of the boarding shotgun profile on the second Santiago, and it'll save you points. Likewise, taking the AP CCW versions of the Magister Knights will help more. If you're going to run a 5-man link, you need cheaper cheerleaders than Order SGTs. I'd probably rebuild your list to something similar to >pic related. It does pretty much everything you were already doing, but adds engineering support and removes the temptation to spend orders on stuff in CG1 other than the pain train - the extra TO Spec SGT doesn't help you give orders when it's TO-infiltrated, and honestly this sort of list doesn't need a ton a specialists. The point is to run around on Turns 1/2(ish) killing the other guy with your Knight link, and then you can run your couple of specialists up and take objectives at your leisure. I *personally* would consider dropping the Sierra bot and the TO Sniper for a Spitfire Crusader Brethren and some more cheerleaders in Group 2, but that's my personal preference; I like having airborne threats, especially in a list without much in the way of infiltration.
Also, use images/screencaps, not PDFs. It pisses mobile people off.
Moiras against Haqq is a bad idea. They have lots of cheap stuff with DTWs and Dogged, which make Moiras evaporate. They also have lots of Viral weapons, which ALSO make Moiras evaporate when they do lose FtFs. Honestly, IMO Bakunin is a tough sectorial to play against Haqq and Ariadna specifically; they're amazing against Yu Jing and PanO, though. Are you set on playing Bakunin, or can you switch still?
Brayden Murphy
thank you, I'll be sure to use screencaps next time.
Can you try and convince me to use a Crusader Bretheren w/Spitfire? I've been running one with the Multi Rifle/Flamethrower but he's been pretty useless in the games I've played. Maybe I'm not using him right.
Kayden Powell
>Are you set on playing Bakunin, or can you switch still?
I can play Corregidor or Vanilla as well. I'm not locked into my list until the day of the tournament. I actually first considered Corr, but people expect me to play that faction so I wanted to surprise them. I was playing around with two different Corr lists built just for the T/T/T scenario, if you'd care to comment on them.
The first one is the more traditional Corregidor list. Intruder with a Jag for smoke, Moran for mid-field control, and Alguacil link with Lupe for a specialist, and some airborne killing power and objective-grabbing.
>cont
Aaron Bailey
>cont
The second list is something I've never run before but I've heard good things about. It expends the Alguacil link to include an MSR and swaps Lupe for an FO Alguacil so there's still a specialist there. Instead of the Intruder+Jaguar, it has Massacre and 2 Jags in a Harris link. It also adds a second Transductor Zond to help cover the backfield. Flash pulsing airborne troops as they enter is always fun. Obviously, this list is a lot more aggressive, since Massacre needs to run up on people and shank them to be useful, while the Intruder just murders people. I also like the fact that there's better order support for Group 2 here. Bandits and Hellcats both like lots of orders to play with.
If I were to go with Corregidor, which one would you think is a better list?
Justin Barnes
That's a general issue with PanO. If you want safe Lts, Haqq's the place to be.
Zachary Bell
With starters sets it often is. But with a full box of units, depends. Spending all SWC on basic Line Infantry is usually not the best idea for example. But running two S3 remotes is.
Jacob Cooper
Yeah, it's a legal link. If Custodiers had the option to take Healer and Kusanagi at the same time, no one would play Moiras ever. Although Moiras aren't that popular anyway.
Michael Rogers
>Maybe I'm not using him right.
My personal rule of thumb for airborne troops is to wait until the OPFOR had a chance to move. So if you move first, wait until the top of Turn 2 to drop. If you move second, go ahead and consider dropping at the bottom of Turn 1. As people move toward the board center, they become progressively more vulnerable to having airborne troops walk in from a board edge and shoot them in the back/flank.
A lot of people will just drop an airborne troop first thing (often so they don't forget to use the troop), but that's not always - or even usually - the best solution. Airborne killy troops are reactive, in that you want to react to your opponent leaving a hole somewhere where you can land safely. THEN you use your troop to kill of cheerleaders/shoot the nasty thing in the back, which will force your opponent to react to what you're doing in his backfield. Also, you almost always want to walk on the board edge instead of placing a template and dropping - it's much safer that way. Placing the Combat Drop template is a big risk/reward play; make sure the potential reward is worth having your Crusader disperse in front of a link team all armed with Viral Monofilament Heavy Flamethrowers (ie, assume that you're 100% dead if you disperse).
Anyway, supporting the Crusader right takes some more orders, so this is how I personally would build a list around using the Crud as a support piece. The idea is that everybody wants to kill your link, so hide the link team. After your opponent has moved towards it and is vulnerable, walk the Crud on and kill whatever's threatening the link team. It also replaces the Paramedic with a Trauma Doc and Palbot, making it easier to heal up your Knights. The Mulebots are there to add orders for the Crud, but having Minesweepers is never a bad thing.
Jeremiah Thomas
I learned pretty quickly that combat drop is not the way to go lol. Even with support ware, my crusader's PH is still pretty low...
Last game I played I brought him up from the board edge. He didn't get as much done as I was hoping but he was a little more effective than usual. I'll consider him more as a "deployable" ARO" than anything else. Thanks for the input!
Angel Roberts
>If I were to go with Corregidor, which one would you think is a better list?
Fuck, those are both solid lists. I'm actually unsure. The list with the Intruder is going to get countered by Djanbazan (MSV2), while the Massacre list is way more order-intensive and requires you to possibly expose yourself to flanking fire (around the Eclipse smoke) as you move forward. But if the Djanbazan don't show up, the Intruder list is probably more efficient. I'm genuinely unsure as to which one I'd play in your place.
I know it's a trite answer, but I think the "whichever one better fits your playstyle" is the correct answer. I'll also say that I think BOTH of them are much better than the Bakunin list, especially for Tic-Tac-Toe (I'm also playing that mission tomorrow night in a league, and having 9 potential antennas to seize and guard makes a low-specialist-count army just outright nonviable).
Daniel Sullivan
It's legal but it seems like a weird choice, Kusanagi already offers you burst 5 and the HMG only extends that threat an extra 8 inches, why not make it a Moira Sniper for the ability to outrange enemy HMGs and pop their skulls open with B3 DA shots.
This only reinforces it to me, you have no long range options and that seems problematic.
>Core of 3 Moiras and a Haris link of 3 Riot Grrls to work
I personally think it works better as a Core of Riot Grrls and a Haris of Custodiers, although it does limit your SWC that way, will be more practical once the rumoured changes making Custodier + Kusanagi + Healer legal come through.
See attached for how I would do it.

Nicholas Ross
hyperpower best power, am i rite ladies?
Xavier Myers
Aside from telling you to run a better faction instead of Nomads, I'd take the Intruder. Not a lot of Haqq players take Djanbazans and having the MSV2 around to get through the smoke Haqq does throw will be very useful.
Jace Cruz
A mere Djanbazan isn't enough to counter an active Intruder. You've still got the surprise shot bonus, higher BS and a much higher burst.
Brayden Allen
Blue or red?
Gavin Taylor
Don't get hit. Otherwise it's pretty simple. Shoot people with a viral rifle, sometimes make AROs with an adhl. Do remember that holoprojectors aren't always the best course of action, if there's BMVs or lots of templates around don't be afraid to go into suppressive fire.
Ayden Flores
Answer: Neither. There's an Anathematic behind them waiting to decloak and plasma-blast.
Otherwise, I'd trust the Ariadnan. Why on concillium are they using a 3-century old 7-panel LED instead of a modern virtual AR maya cyber-net bomb display?
Anthony Reyes
Look into the frog's eyes. Are those really the eyes of someone you can trust?

Haqqislam is full of people that hot sick of the ME blowing up. The violent muslims are still on Earth killing each other.
Mason Cook
>How the fuck do you even use these things

Connor Morgan
I didn't think the Hassassin's killed people for drawing Muhammad, questioning islam, for sending kuffar armies into the middle east, or for increasingly just being kuffar. I thought the Hassassin's cared about actual crimes against the Haqq nation. Then again this Haqqislam has no Islam in it, it's just the wetdream of western liberals.
Benjamin Gonzalez
Female Loup Garou?
Tyler Rodriguez
>it's just the wetdream of western liberals. Not exactly it's kind of elegant trolling of EU muslims, because haqquislam ruled by Sufis (mostly) and Shia, while Sunni still killing each other.

They are religious fanatic killers sent to kill whoever 'some old man' decides Must Die due to whatever 'reasons' ('the search for knowledge' sure makes a fine slogan!).
Even those sent to keep an eye on them are just as fanatic.
Aaron Martin
It doesn't have to be a bad thing. You know that they know.
Turtle up and play your defense right because you can have a good idea of where they will be gunning for. Give your opponent a choice of bad and worse options.
Cooper Nelson

Is it possible to play only mercs?
Caleb Parker
Only in QK
Evan Ortiz
I'd like that, there's a scandalous lack of sci-fi legion aside from Aquablue. And the "merc" aspect has a lot of potential IMO. Now, a lot of the aspects for which the legion is known are already present in different units of the MRRF : Zouaves have sapper, Moblots are HI, Para-commandos are airborne,.. You could fluff an Ariadnian army as a legion unit easily, though, even Irmandinhos makes for good Dinops substitutes.
Maybe a light TAG ?
Jace Rogers
Working on my airborne ranger for my ariadna stuff.
Landon Morris
Neat! Be sure to do sonething to eyebrows, look weird in flesh color.
Connor Wright
Any other advice on which of these to take?
Connor Peterson
I'd go for the first one, but edited a bit.
I'd replace the linked HMG with a missile launcher, you've got enough good attack pieces but you could do with a long range ARO platform. Funds can be redistributed elsewhere, like into an Alguacil FO or even a Zondcat if you're willing to knock a point off something else.
I'd also switch around the Moran and Hellcat with the Tomcat and Bandit. As it stands the latter two are going to be fighting for orders because they're both quite active units, while the Hellcat would be free to drink all of the second group's orders after it lands because the Moran is pretty defensive in function.
Aiden Mitchell
That sounds really solid. Thank you.
Ayden Robinson

Levi Roberts

Jayden Cooper

Joshua Morgan
That's true, but they can't compare to plasma rifles.
Eli Russell
Eh, Arm/BTS vs 2xBTS and Shock is pretty equivalent.
Plasma only really shines when you can make use of the templates.
Sebastian King
Yeah, but it's pretty damn shiny when that happens. Even if you don't catch multiple enemies in the template, the ability to ignore cover is god tier. The only reason to not use it is if a friendly would get caught in the blast.
Gabriel Rogers
1d4chan.org/wiki/Infinity/N3_Tactics/Aleph Did my best with the ALEPH tactica. I'll be honest though. Writing this only made me realized that I haven't play Aleph in a long while, so please correct me or add anything useful
Samuel Gutierrez
Thoughts on this list? I'm still pretty new to the game.
Fusilier(Combi-Rifle) Lt Fusilier(Multi-Sniper) Nisse(Multi-Sniper) Jotum Akalis Commando with Boarding Shotgun Machinist Sierra Dronebot with HMG HEXA Hacker with KHD Knight Hospitaller Doctor 2x Palbot- 1 for machinst, 1 for doc.
Comes out to 300 on the dot.
Ryan Campbell
I would move the SWC from the fusilier onto the jumper to hide your LT and I would consider a way to squeeze in auxillia, but the list should be fine for more of a Pan O smash sort of feel
Ryan Thompson
?
Jumper's dont have Lts according to the army builder and the current LT costs no SWC.
Isaac Bell
I think he was saying switch the special weapon off of your other fusilier and spend the points on the akalis. That way, your opponent wouldn't know which of the fusiliers was your Lt.
Jonathan Nguyen
I would personally switch den Akali out for a EVO Mulebot. Only having the Hexa would make me nervous.
Andrew Lewis
How good do you guys think the Last Ranger will be?
Lincoln Morris
The Unknown Ranger, you mean? His stats are on Army, dude.
Tyler Collins
Actually kinda makes me sad that the fuckoff-huge riot shield is worth a grand total of 1 ARM. He's a neat unit and NWI helps a lot, but I've played (proxied) him 5-6 times now, and he seems like his point value should be in the low-to-mid-30s. It's a whole bunch of unconnected skills that don't help that much; I'd rather see Hyperdynamics L1 instead of Kinemakita, and Scavenger on a model without a way to get up-board fast so it can actually go loot things isn't that great.
Most important, I'd've liked to have him with a second profile (like Tohaa) for when he's got the shield out (4-2 MOV, ARM 6, BTS 3, can only shoot with the pistol; 4-4 MOV, ARM3, and BTS 0 otherwise).
Gavin Foster
The source is his backside.
Ethan Nguyen
In general you don't want to put SWC weapons on your basic line troops unless you're in linked in a sectorial, but I suppose it's a little less painful in Pan-O given that your Fusiliers have BS12.
Still, I'd drop the MSR Fusilier and, if you don't mind the obvious lieutenant, pick up an auxilia + auxbot. 3 specialists is okay-ish, but 4 would be nice. Also, that Jotum needs a full 10 orders, so consider dropping Knight hospitaller doc for poor old trauma doc or Bipandra.
> It's a whole bunch of unconnected skills that don't help that much Welcome to YJ suffering-tier, user.

I assume this is related to Toni stuff since the colors (as a previous alive image had green in it) are that of tikbalangs. Also having that non rules entry in the FAQ.
