Yeti Civ part 2

A tribe of Yeti have settled within a high cave on a snowy mountain top, the tribe numbers 9 males, 9 female and a cub. The Alpha male Kal, The Elder shaman Mek and the Matriarch Lrouns are among their numbers, one of the females is currently pregnant and no other sapient creatures have yet to be encountered. When we last left a scouting party had reached a frozen lake atop the mountain which allowed a view onto the other side showing expansive green fields with a large cluster of wooden boxes and to the eastern side of the mountain a smoke plume. Meanwhile the females had found a caved in tunnel and a large cave containing a waterfall deeper into the mountain

Current Supplies - 4 Goat carcasses (16 food) Berries (4 food) Fat mushrooms (3 food) thin mushrooms (3 food), 11 Logs, rocks, firewood
>Yetis will have to eat roughly once every 5 turns to maintain good health

The females return out of the mountains depths around the same time the male scouting party returns from the morning hike, The yetis are currently crude and tribal and have little in the way of complex communication, they roughly communicate that there were "wood caves" on the other side of the mountain while the females grunt about a larger cave further back, the Elderly Shaman Mek sits around the crackling fire sorting out the mushrooms into piles.

>9 Females, Lrouns and pregnant
>9 Males, Mek and Kal
>Cub

Feel free to split up the group however you see fit and head down or up the mountain, east or west across the mountain, hunting, scavenging, breeding, research, into the cave etc

look for more goats to start a herd and harvest some more timber and stones from the local area.

The males leave the confines of the cave and begin scouring lower in the mountain where plants are more abundant, the same large goat heard is spotted below grazing on a large flat piece of land. Kal and 4 other males carefully climb down the slopes attempting to get closer. Mean while the other 4 males scour the area around the cave, harvesting berries and mushrooms while others snap branches off for firewood and gather logs and stones. The smoke plume from the eastern side of the mountain has subsided and the snow has all but stopped for now leaving crisp morning air. Meanwhile back in the cave Mek has scratched the word for Dream into the wall and left under it the Thin mushrooms, while the word for food is filled with the Fat Mushrooms

Herd Goats

When is next eating turn?

Kal and the other males decide a sustainable food source is more beneficial in the long run, they drop down the slopes and carefully attempt to encircle the Goat herd, as they creep around the outskirts of the herd one of the Goats spots them and bleats loudly, the other goats immediately stop grazing and raise their heads, they begin to jump around frantically and attempt to head further down the mountain, the Yetis spring from the brush and run around either side of the herd, the majority of the goats slips through, but 3 of the goats are cut off from the rest of their herd, they spring their way up the mountain towards the home cave. Kal and his pack grunt in frustration although are still pleased knowing 3 goats can sustain the group for another day most likely, they carefully track the 3 goats up the slope

Feel free to choose how many and who goes where

(Feel free to give orders to any of the yetis regarding anything, ill work with it, doesn't just have to be the hunting party)

On average every 5 turns, but this obviously depends how much gets done in a turn, if its a turn of just talking and sitting then I wont count it. They also just ate at the very start so in perhaps 4 more turns

Weird my tripcode went, also feel free to choose WHAT they eat out of the stockpile

Explore East and The large cavern in the back of the cave
Cheers

Kal and the males manage to herd the 3 goats to the top of the plateau outside the cave where they stop running and cautiously begin grazing, keeping their distance the males enter back into home cave, where Lrouns is cradling her cub and Mek is sorting out the supplies into crude piles of sticks, logs, rocks and food. A small group of the females depart and climb down the tunnel to the left of the caves rear remerging once more into the large mountainous cavern, the light is dim but visible, the cavern is several yetis high and expansive, with a waterfall running out of some crack near the top and splashing rhythmically into a clear deep pool, dotted around the cave are luminous moss and clusters of mushrooms that seem to be growing comfortably in the cool dark air. They find another tunnel near the back of the cave and random sticks scattered around that they gather to bring back to the group. Meanwhile Mek keeps an eye on the 3 goats while Kal being restless leads 5 of the males out to explore the Smoke plumes east.
After trudging through the snow for a while they come to a ridge that opens up to a small valley in the mountain, down below is several large coloured boxes of wood and many animals kept in fenced areas, there are dozens of what look like smaller hairless yetis in colourful garbs harvesting and talking to one another.

gonna go for an Attack but wait until night once they have finished harvesting, and go for silent kills

Once the sun begins to set the small Hairless Yetis retire to their Wooden Boxes and light small fires on the walls to illuminate the valley. Kal and the males begin to drop quietly down the rocky slopes under cover of dark, they stalk through the darkened behind of the Wooden Boxes and sniff the air, filling their lungs with the smell of spices and foods. 2 of the small creatures leave their homes and walk down the stone paths, Kal see's his opportunity and steps towards them but frightens a flock of nearby chickens, the noise startles the 2 small yetis who turn around and scream and shout in confusion and fear, one grabs a nearby stick with a spikey end and jabs it into one of the Yetis shoulders causing him to howl in pain, he bats a large paw at the stick snapping it and causing the man thing to tumble onto the ground, he is quickly disembowelled by a large clawed hand. Groups of the creatures burst forth from their Boxes wielding more pointed sticks and shouting, the corpse is grabbed by the wounded yeti while the others begin roaring and howling

The Yeti pack roar loudly and leap forwards, the smaller pink creatures shout loudly and stick together in groups thrusting forward their sticks with pointy rocks, the wounded yeti flings the corpse at his living brethren before grabbing one by the legs and pulling him to the ground beating him to a bloody pulp, he is penetrated by 2 other sticks into his side and roars painfully spinning around knocking one of the man things off their feet. Kal gores one with his tusks while smacking another aside attempting to avoid being stabbed, the rest of the wounded yeti collapses to the floor as a stick is rammed into his throat, blood gurgling in his throat, the rest of the creatures however being to falter as the Yetis smash into their ranks, they start falling back still with their sticks pointed at the Yetis they pull back into their homes guarding the doorways. One of the Yetis has taken wounds while one lays dead in the street accompanied by 11 dead hairless man things.

Torch the houses and leave with the Livestock

Kal roars loudly at the inhabitants and they brace their sticks against the doorways with a look of determination and fear, beating his chest and growling kal puts on an aggressive display while the other 3 yetis grab and kill chickens, one ends up carrying 6 broken chicken corpses while the other 2 grab a goat each and sling it under their arms, they begin trudging away while Kal howls and smashes a torch aside, it spills onto the floor and begins to burn the ground of one of the wooden boxes, the hairless yetis shout in dismay as he grabs a couple of dead chickens and leaps away to join his pack. As they make it over the ridge several minutes later under the full moons pale light they can see a smoke plume rising from the valley and screaming and shouting. They return almost half an hour later to their cave and deposit the chicken corpses next to a sleeping Mek, the 2 goats are let loose in the cave and bleat jumping around and skitter off to join the sleeping goats outside for now. The males grow tired and curl up in the cave for a nights sleep. Morning is brought forth by a creeping light coming over the horizon and a light airy snowfall, the Yetis have their morning feast.

Set up a farm in the back cave were those mushrooms were growing and go back and scout the village

The females move further into the cave with Mek, they take the supplies they need and set up a home in the very back of the cavern, drinking from the waterfall and sorting out supplies, Mek begins to pick parts of the mushrooms and plant them in the softer dirt inside the cave. The females tend to their new mushroom farm and make sure they are watered and not stepped on. Kal and the remaining 6 males leave to scout out the village in the valley once more, careful not to disturb the 5 grazing goats outside, after a long walk they come to the ridge once more and look down, 2 of the boxes have burned down, the man things are all working hard to fix the mess from last night and there are guards on patrol. They still have supplies and livestock though the hairless creatures themselves now number around 2- 3 dozen, they are far more alert than before.

Try and get some large boulders in place to roll down towards the village. and set up a pasture for the goats and find their gender

The Yeti hunting party searches for some large rocks to attempt to harass the village although after a long search they yield almost no results with rocks ranging from pebbles to fist sized. They stand watch as the light snow falls gently around them unsure of how to proceed, meanwhile back at the cave Mek gathers handfuls of sticks and a couple of logs and heads outside the cave, he trudges carefully around the goat herd and watches as the cautiously walk away from him as he circles, grabbing sticks he begins jamming them into the ground around half a foot away from one another in a semi circle on the plateau , this fences off half of the area allowing for easier goat herding although he is unsure of how to get close enough as of yet to inspect them. Below the cave nearer to the bottom of the mountain bells can be heard faintly on the wind.

Craft some basic tools/weapons for farming and warfare.

I am sorry the gf has turned up, will resume in about 4-5 hours! Hopefully some more people turn up, also run it as a normal civ thread? Or run it as everyone picks a character to roleplay as?

bump

OK I have returned

The Yetis have started a primitive mushroom farm deep within the mountain in a large dimly lit waterfall cavern, hidden away, Lourns the Matriarch oversees this. Mek the Elder Shaman has begun construction on a fence to help herd the 5 goats that currently graze on the plateau outside, to the east a settlement of small hairless yetis wearing colourful cloth was discovered and attacked, having returned they are now more alert and armed attempting to rebuild and organise defence. Kal and the remaining 6 males are watching from above on the ridge. Below near the slope of the mountain bells can be heard on the wind, within the cave is a collapsed tunnel and atop the mountain a frozen lake overlooking a large cluster of "wooden boxes" on either side of the home mountain

Would you like classic Civ thread? Or Pick a yeti to RP and each user plays their yeti separately?

The current population is
>8 males
>9 females
>1 Cub
>Mek the Elder Shaman is one of the males
>Kal-te is the Alpha male
>Lrouns is the matriarch
>The cub is an unnamed male belonging to Kal and Lrouns
>The rest are currently unnamed

Also I am going to try not to give any more options and allow a more free flow choose whatever you think you could do, research, breed, communicate, attack etc... Roll a D100 for any action like that though

Yetis are incredible at close quarters combat and posses immense strength, however their technology and diplomacy are lacking

Check what is in the wooden boxes!

I have been waiting for 3 hours! I will rehost tomorrow in around 12 hours if anyone is interested then!

aw alright then!
