Nearly 2 minutes of build up for one of the most beautiful climaxes I've ever heard in a game.
Pretty setting and theme agnostic track. Should work for any time your fighting some unimaginably powerful.

Godsibb's technically not the final boss theme, but the battle it plays in is easily great enough to have been the final boss.

This has been a long time favorite of mine for villains that the players have some deep, personal investment in killing. youtube.com
It was a spaghetti western fantasy setting, the BBEG was a legendary and noble desperado that was granted lichdom by winning a game of Texas hold'em poker against the twin gods of death, he bet every single soul of his comrades in arms and intentionally lost every single hand to trick the death gods into a false sense of security, each of his men gladly forfeited their afterlives to oblivion of course, before betting his own soul and winning with a all-in.
He amassed a undead bandito army and rampaged across the deserts and frontiers, searching for something precious to him.
The Gods of death found out he cheated, so they sent their agents to go apprehend him, but they all either outmaneuvered and captured in a magical sack he won in blackjack game against the devil or persuaded to join his cause.
There was a bounty on his head that was so fucking massive it attracted the attention greatest bounty hunters of the land including us a rag tag gang of fuckups, prisoners and felons, a artificer/rogue Gambit knockoff that threw enchanted playing cards, a Goliath barbarian John Henry motherfucker who dual wielded great hammers and myself a dirgesinger Doc Holliday who carries around undead kobold rogues in his guitar case that has hidden compartments of which they threw knives, shot arrows and threw molotov cocktails and including a deputy sheriff/paladin of the Order of Eastwood who's superior promised to set us all free and clear our names of all crimes if we brought the desperado lich in.
It was such a stupid campaign with shit blatantly stolen from everywhere, it had no right to turn out so awesome.
In victory, you erase the world. In defeat, you will be removed from it.
Which do you choose?

This one is suited if your encounter starts with a chase and ends with climatic showdown. There is an extend version.
Ace Combat seriously always had god-tier music, especially when you consider it's a fucking flying game.
Speaking of Street Fighter, I wonder how 4's Indestructible would work as a final boss theme.

It can fit, but I don't know what kind of boss fight it can work for.

The BBEG's heart aches.
Did you do the right thing?
>ITT: /v/s pleb-tier music taste
Darkest Dungeon OST is too good

Party of X- and A-wing parties versus a pack of imperial aces in TIE interceptors. Pulled forcibly out of hyperspace into a nebula where shields do not function.
I'm late to this thread and shocked this isn't already here.
>The final showdown with your childhood friend that slowly gets more intense.

I had Lunar 2 as a kid.
This theme helped me get to sleep sometimes.
Fuck, what a good game.
youtube.com
I prefer slower, more intimate final encounters than grandiose "hit the Devil's kneecaps till he dies" vidya style boss battles.
"So, have you found a reason to fight yet, Buddy?"

Ace Combat has some of the best fucking music.

Time to die.
Surprised nobody posted this yet:
I found this song in a previous thread like this. I used it in my campaign, and it did not disappoint.

Good lovecraftian/eldritch fight
Also loops well
The entire OST of MGR is so goddamn perfect, but Blade Wolf´s boss theme is fucking amazing, specially if you add the chorus and the acoustic intro

This thread has made me want to make some kind of racing campaign using the soundtrack of Initial D as it motif.
The "final boss" would be intense.

I've always felt the Kiseki series hits right mix of serious/epic/resolve in its "big heroes" moments without getting too serious and one winged angel about the whole thing.
It also helps that you've been puking blood all the way there if you've played in nightmare mode, so it feels like you've earned your "big damn heroes" moment.
Caorl of the bells any version

Probably too gamey for most, but these songs are the ones that always stick out to me.
Nobody can deny that this is the best choice for all occasions
>WARNING: UNDEFINED ENEMY APPROACHING

It's the only final boss theme for me.
This is my new favorite song ever. Good job, user.
Y'all are gonna hate it. I don't care.

>it's a prohibition era cult busting campaign

No, and Ludwig's music is better anyway.

My Cypher cyberpunk game had the PCs fight their way through a security team and then finally a military grade drone walker. This is what I played for them.
