Trying to get anons at my LGS into Warmahordes. The LGS owner has a hands off policy of "Until X people ask me to stock something, I'm not buying anything related to it." So for testing purposes, I'm going to have to buy two of the battlegroups to teach people how to play, get them interested.
What would be two good groups to start with? I'd prefer to do Warmachine v Warmachine, or Warmachine v Horde. Not so much Horde v Horde.

Helynna is a beast, but she needs two things to be the beast she dreams to be. 1. An Arc Node 2. Sylys the Warcaster attachment
With Sylys he upkeeps RoW for her then applies his buff to her every turn
This leaves her with all 7 focus to spend. 3 for Deceleration vs armies it matters on and 4 to spend on an Oblit or on a boosted Hand of Destruction.
Oblit wont always get to shine, but the fear of it will change how your opponent advances and clusters his shit. For example a spread out Strider unit wont be as big a threat because they wont all be in range to shoot a target.
Hand of Destruction+Manticore shooting is fucked up. I aimed, got 3 shots, pointed em all at a crusader, boosted damage on all three, had Hand of Destruction on said Crusader, and broke the movement as well as a good number of hull boxes. It was brutal.
Then Rhythem of war can keep your arc nodes and lower range jacks safe.
Considering a list with 5 heavies, and 3 arcanists to take advantage of shooting. Armor 20 and 21 jacks of doom.

Rhulic is pretty solid especially in the ARM category and Ossrum is probably their best caster. Fact is you can pick-n-mix your mercs in mk3 so there's no need to tie yourself down to one theme.

At that point he had been ripped out of his armour and was being kept alive as Cryx's prisoner. She didn't actually want to have sex with him, if that was even possible, she was trying to undermine his resolve and break his spirit. It didn't work and she quickly abandoned it.

Nope, by the last Mk2 book he views her with a great deal of favour, possibly even affection. When she rides out to cover his escape, he's genuinely worried at the prospect of her dying. I mean, he's a Lich, so his emotions are going to be strange and muted, but he definitely feels something for her.

He's practically been her father since Skarre kidnapped her. She's a powerful warcaster, she's tricky enough to have a Lich Lord killed and make it look like she had nothing to do with it (although not going "LOOK AT ME, MY OLD BOSS IS A SWORD" like Asphyxious did helps sell the innocence), so she's mastered Cryxian life in a few decades and running circles around people who've been doing it for centuries.
On top of that she's legitimately loyal, which is pretty damn rare where Cryx is concerned.
Gaspy is Shakesperean Skeletor. This whole idea that Liches are "emotionless" falls kind of hollow when they all get angry at every imagined slight and setback.
Even if he just views her as his favorite weapon, she's really a damn good weapon. In like a decade she helped him take over not one, but TWO lich lord's domains. She might as well be the second coming of Thamar. Why should he not be upset at the prospect of throwing her away like some random scrap thrall without even really getting anything out of the deal?

The ending of Collosals is still my favorite bit of Gaspy/Denny fluff. Where she's standing on the Necromanufactorum walls, getting trashed by Cygnar and Khador, utterly convinced that Gaspy has decided to let her die for going behind his back...and then he appears, and he's just like "sorry baby, had to pretend I was mad at you to lure out our enemies. Depends on when you played Mk2.
For Trolls, unless you went seriously meat mountain, they haven't changed that much. With the exception of eMadrak who is now OH MY GOD HE JUST KILLED MY ENTIRE ARMY BY HIMSELF AND IS INVINCIBLE. Burrowers kind of suck now, though.
Circle is also relatively unchanged, although their infantry somehow got worse, and Bradigus went from vying for the best caster in the game to terrible. Wurmwood (the tree is now the caster, Cassius is just his pet) and Tanith (the new Mk3 battlebox caster) are probably the best Circle casters now. The Argus is actually good now. Otherwise, no huge changes to Circle.
