EDH players should extinct themselves

...

Why you mad, hombre

So, what's your favorite Tribal to play?

And why is it obviously Wizards

Post em

Also, the new Grenzo is making me conflicted, I was thinking about building a BUG rogue deck with that new elf dude but now this guy shows up and is telling me to go Grixis.

Because every single spoiler season, you austist post absolutely worthless comments under EVERY SINGLE card.
>ohh wow this goes PERFECTLY in my Marchesa EDH deck
Also, it's not really MTG. You might as well be playing YGO.
EDH isn't magic, it's retarded gradeschool-level custom rules using MTG cards.
It's on par with printing out your epic OC donut steal cards and using those.

Fucking disgusting.

Zromberries

Oh, hello little 1/1.

I am sorry you hate fun

So I pulled an Emrakul, the Promised End the other day and decided I wanted to run a fun inexpensive deck with her as the Commander for shits and giggles. Thoughts?

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/and-with-strange-aeons-even-death-may-die-2/

You should try having friends senpai

guess i'll just repost

Posting here again because why not. Maybe get a few more card recommendations: tappedout.net/mtg-decks/16-08-16-trostani-tokens/

Here's what I'm looking at getting as well:
White Sun's Zenith
Increasing Devotion
Cathar's Crusade
Aura Shards
Entreat the Angels
Awakening Zone
Growing Ranks
Austere command
Archangel of Thune
Ashnod's Altar
Pentavus
Asceticism

They'll go in the deck, along with a few other token generators.

So far one of my biggest wincons is turning the Grove of Guardians into the 8/8 vigilance and just copying it with trostani and swinging the uncopied ones every turn.

Want to build darien eventually. Might replace Meren with Gitgud

I would hate to be this much of a jaded fuck

if you're done whining about others enjoying themselves and deckbuilding rather than netdecking from top8, you can go back to your chosen eternal format general to discuss the same 5 decks over and over

Jellyfish.

...

such as it is

...

>Stand decks
Neicu

I have one too.

It's not the tribe you think it is.

;^))

Is it Myr? Are you Tisen?

At this point it's likely more people play EDH then standard so really standard isn't MTG anymore.

Nope. Keep guessing.

What's a good Reaper King deck even look like

My friend, who doesn't really play magic much, and I bought EMN fat packs for fun yesterday and on his first pack he pulled Emrakul and I'm trying to convince him to either make an EDH deck because he likes artifacts and Eldrazi or to just give it to me if he won't use it.

>what is a good reaper king deck even look like

Lots of scarecrows and shapeshifters I would assume

you know what he means

I mean, if you build Scarecrow Tribal you're running mediocre Scarecrows just to trigger the Vindicates, and very few of them are actually good. Ditto on Shapeshifters- there's some okay ones, but a lot are just nearly vanilla.

Which is your favorite legendary creature from a core set? I like Yisan

Not exactly a long list, man, there's only 31 of those and literally ONE of them isn't monocolor.

...

>1 white deck
>2 blue decks
>4 black decks
>0 red decks
>5 green decks

Someone has a preference.

I wonder if you can tell my preference.

i would imagine conspiracy enchantment as well as a bunch of blink/flicker effects

>Trostani lifegain and tokens
Got a list? I have a similar deck.

Green was always my favourite color, shifted to black lately. The elf and human tribal are from my girlfriend, so the preference should be even more obvious.

So you look at Reaper King right? Right away, you see he works with blink effects, reanimation, clones, and changelings. That's a lot of things the deck wants to do, so you basically fill the rest with ramp, card draw and tutoring.

If you're RELYING on Conspiracy, the deck doesn't do much without it, though.

Literally one I posted earlier lol

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/16-08-16-trostani-tokens/

The lifegain comes ffrom Trostani's triggers and board buffs interacting with tokens.

There is a bit of jank I need to remove, I put it in there to pad the deck out and now i'm refining it. I think it's a great start.

At least it's not as bad as me. All 7 of my decks have red in them, 3 are mono-red

Oh, I remember now- I commented on this deck earlier this week.

Mine's a little uneven too.

>3 White
>3 Blue
>2 Black
>3 Red
>5 Green

And that's including the 5 color deck, so it's more like 2 2 1 2 4.

Yep. Played it a bit yesterday and I had a dickload of fun. Need to get those token generators and shit to replace the jank like nyx-fleece and the paladin.

I was thinking of building a 1v1 Silumgar, the Drifting Death deck, based around changing creature types to trigger his ability.
Things like Xenograft, Conspiracy, Standardize or creatures like changelings or mistforms.
Anybody else have some nice ideas for it?

On another note, how competitive do you think the deck is? I don't know how it is because my meta's kinda casual.

duh, that doesn't mean don't include it

Is Narset the best wedge commander that best embodied the 'build whatever you want' mindset?
You can pillowfort, token, I/S sling. You probably can't go full aggro but it seems like you definitely have the options and card draw to do whatever you feel like.

>Days without Jewish tricks: 0

As-is, not very. You're running VERY subpar cards, and you're really vulnerable to any anti-wide strategy. It's also pretty possible for someone to just go tall and beat you to death while you're getting setup.

What about Damia? She's just raw card advantage. I've mostly seen her built as simply "BUG goodstuff", but the way she draws you cards, I figure she allows for any strategy.

Maybe put in "real" dragons befor you put in changelings? There are, thanks to the Khans block, some blue/black/blue-black dragons.

So I'm trying to build a deck for every 2 and 3 color combo. This is what I have for ideas, and voids. Taking votes on what to build next and suggestions for the voids.

>WU Winter Tribal
>UB: Vela Unblockable stuff
>BR: No clue
>WB Knight Tribal
>GU Snake Tribal
>RW no clue
>WUB no clue
>UBR no clue
>BRG maybe Kresh? I dunno
>RGW no clue
>GWB Ghave Saproling Tribal
>WUR no clue
>UBG Damia Control? Unsure
>BRW Alesha?
>RUG Animar Elemental Tribal

There's Icefall Regent... And maybe Necromaster dragon?
Keiga, Kokusho, Phantasmal Dragon, Steel Hellkite and Scourge of Nel Toth are nice too, maybe I'll even add Tek... But otherwise, the colorcombo doesn't have that many nice dragons...

Here's a list of shit i'm chasing:
White Sun's Zenith
Increasing Devotion
Cathar's Crusade
Aura Shards
Entreat the Angels
Awakening Zone
Growing Ranks
Austere command
Archangel of Thune
Ashnod's Altar
Pentavus
Asceticism

Do you think it'll make any change?

It'll help you to not have trash like Nyx-Fleece Ram, but you're still fairly weak to board wipes. Try to find room for something like Dauntless Escort or Make A Stand.

Dont forget Dragonlord Silumgar

I've got a Soul of New Phyrexia which has helped against board destruction. Looking to pick up the 8 drop Avacyn as well.

What are some good alternatives to Eldrazi Monument in BUG? I'm running snake tribal with Damia as the commander, and I need more team-wide buffs for my snake tokens. Mostly stuff that grants defensive abilities or evasion--as far as straight buffs go, I've got a few different options already.

I'd slot in Make a Stand for now. It's got a surprise factor that Soul and Avacyn don't have, and should be cheap and easy to find for now.

Asceticism, Archetype of Courage, Archetype of Finality. Archetype of Endurance, Levitation

Akroma memorial

don't forget the new selfless spirit and

Filth + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgamoth

...

Obelisk of urd and akroma's memorial

RBW should be Marchesa. She's the closest RBW's going to get to do anything.Have some control, shit out tokens to protect yourself, and smash face with big things to keep the crown on your head.

Any ideas for new Marchesa tech with the newer W/B/R cards we've been getting?

I have nothing against her, but she doesn't really interest me. Plays too similar to decks I already have.

>no GW

Trostani. I've yet to see a better selesnya commander.

user, in order for that dragon to trigger your dragon spells have to resolve first.

I have a Trostani deck. Any colors not in that list are decks I already have built.

Trostani is kind of a pet card of mine but sisay, Karametra, Gaddock teeg, og sigarda, and saffi eriksdotter are all more powerful when built around

I wanna build a midrange based deck, using UG as the primary core. What are some of my best bets in terms of commander and color combinations?

Never liked this guy because I want to draw cards with my wizards not tap them to tax my opponents mana

Not saying he's bad I just prefer not to use him, also I hate his art immensely

Strange man, tries so hard to not do anything.

I would actually consider vexing shusher to be a bad drop vs patron wizard- in response to activating the vexing shusher ability an experienced player will use patron wizard to just tap another wizard and counter the spell. You are now just spending twice as much mana to stop getting your things countered.

I think Gaea's Herald is a better answer to Patron Wizard, but the final solution is pic related.

>twice as much mana

It'll actually be the same amount of mana, only in more restrictive colors.
Vexing Shusher is effectively useless vs. Patron Wizard, because you have to pay one mana each activation either way.

Also Molten Disaster is a multi-use card whereas Vexing Shusher is a dead drop versus any deck not running a blue deck that has counterspells, barring certain rare non-blue counterspells.

It stops a lot of counterspell effects, but Patron Wizard is not one of them.

>timmy casts a spell
>patron wizard taps to counter
>timmy activates Vexing Shusher with a smug grin on his face
>Patron wizard player sighs and taps another wizard in response to yhe activated ability, forcing timmy to pay another 1 mana, which he has already done by activating Vexing Shusher
>timmy's spell gets countered anyways because he doesn't have enough mana
>timmy loses because he doesn't understand how the stack works

Split Second is a FAR better and more multipurpose answer

NEW COMMANDER STAPLE, COMIN' THROUGH!

I like it

Jund/BRG is best done as Prossh Snack Time.

>that filename
Excellence

Vandalblast is now outclassed, huh wow

Also nice mirror to Surge of Tentacles

Well time to throw it into the Dragon Tribal deck

I got a Scion of the Ur-Dragon build that is just itching to get one.

>that flavor text

The whole reason you play vandalblast over other artifact wipes is the one-sided aspect, so no, vandalblast is still better in many decks

This card is cool though, really it's completely different from vandalblast, it has more in common with rolling earthquake and such, but with more versatility

>tfw an alternate universe exists where we got Take The Crown as a regular release over BFZ/OTG
>And you weren't born in it

>enters the battlefield

Should I convert this to a Karthus deck? I don't really like it the way it is and was planning on replacing a bunch of cards anyways

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/the-enchanted-dragon-of-wisdom/

Karrthus is ALWAYS a good choice. Though I prefer to go all-color ham and play Scion. By the by, would be awesome for Karrthus!

Karrthus is good, just remember that he loses to Clone.

Hey anons, I need some help.

Should I build grixis wizards and sea monsters, or grixis dragons and goblins? I think I have enough of all those types to run a tribal, but I want to make something half decent. I could probably build a Rakdos goblin tribal if that sounds better, but I'm sort of stuck at the moment.

Sea monsters sounds like fun/less common.

Sea Monsters

That'll probably be my next deck but with Patron of the Moon at the helm because mono-blue ramp is bananas

Cool, sea monsters it is. I don't know if I can run it in grixis, because I can't think of a single red sea monster, but I wanted to make Lorthos anyways.

Blue: Sea Monsters and draw power
Black: Rez tech and removal
Red: Artifact hate and burn

I don't get it, wouldn't you just need to use vexing shusher's ability one time? No matter how many wizards you tap with patron wizard it wouldn't matter because the spell now can not be countered by abilities
