Dragon cursed into human or elf form, with the only way to break the curse being to stop, or at least greatly tone down, her greed and 'might makes right' personality.
I love the idea of an innately powerful being forced to earn back their powers. And a selfish character growing to care about and wanting to protect what they previously viewed as beneath her. Plus I think a skinny elf girl trying to stomp around and act like she's still a huge, intimidating dragon would be cute.

Heres how i want it to go
A male knight rescues or acquires a loving wife who is also politically viable. They proceed to establish a House and populate it with children of their own making creating a loving and happy family atmosphere. Occasionally the male knight leaves to earn fortune, fame and save the world.
Now duct tape "fe" in front of "male". Why would a normal knight let another man at his wife whom he loves so much and why take in children that would weaken his Houses claim?

The catch here is i was looking for a way to get legitimate heirs between the knight and her betrothed the same as in every other Knight Rescues Princess story. I'll probably use alter self or fertility deity like that other user suggested Though as mentioned earlier i hope we just skip that entirely as if feel its not important to the story.
