Take a closer look at the basing's chest plate. It's got the typical SW diamond as well. I'd say it's damn near confirmed.

Welcome to new G-dubs, their new design directions is to just vomit as many details onto a model as humanly possible. Their target demographic has widened to include not only Little Timmy but also Badass Billy, and Billy won't be entertained unless his miniatures are 100% spikes, chains, and skulls.

I'm also bothered at the fact all their new minis look loke some World of Warcraft expansion

Not hugely difference in appearance, but I think this one is better.

Can't believe that despite it being so similar people are trying to start shit and even trying to bring similarity to AoS models into the mix like no one ever used the Fantasy Khorne Lord on Juggernaut or Nurgle Chaos Lord in 40k.

It's possible that it will be TS versus Sisters of Silence and Custodes since Sad Panda confirmed there being plastic versions of them. Granted this set should be coming out before, around, or after the same time as Inferno.

AoS is fantasy with no real basis in historical realism.

In addition it's GW taking advantage of the technology available. The models may have not looked like it, but there is concept art like this and more than few pictures which showed armies like the Warriors of Chaos decked out in bling.

The brass details are present for the most part on the older model.

Gorechild looks like it has been blinged up, but that could be to show the Warp/Khorne mutating it. Need to see it better. Wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing for the exhaust vents. Old Kharn looks like he just jammed two skulls in place of the originals, new Kharn looks like the vents are slowly warping into skulls. Trying to show how Chaos can mutate whatever is something GW seems to have become fond of the past so many years.

I thought so too. too bad the angle of Gorechild makes the weapon in general difficult to view. that could probably be fixed by cutting the hand off and turning it

I imagine they may not change it too much since the rest of the model is so similar to the old one. Gorefather and Gorechild also look similar on the models FW has done of Angron and Kharn.

maybe. but the angle makes it really hard to view the rest of Gorechild, and from the brass painting at the top of it, there may be a trim on the face of the weapon also

Pretty sure it was Atia who first revealed that Kharn was getting a new model, not Faeit.

Wouldn't be surprised if the stuff on Faeit is just someone taking a rumor from a legitimate source and then tacking a bunch of bullshit on it. It has been done numerous times before, what became Betrayal At Calth supposedly being Imperial Fists versus Iron Warriors in Phall comes to mind.

If it's like they Betrayal At Calth the models will be blank and come with transfers. Part of the appeal of the aforementioned was that you could use everything in one army.

Still weird to sync that voice up with Kharn.

I think it's actually quite a good voice. At least the accent, considering he's Siberian. A deeper boice would have been good, but oh well.
SM never get the voice that fits them, since they're all supposed to have super deep, super low voice.

Those running legs are fin when you just position the model right and are much cheaper to get than loyalist MkVI assault marine legs. Used them for my 30k traitor assault marines in MkVI suits. The standing legs work as traitor MkV legs, since all CSM legs are MkVI for some reason. The torsos also give some nice variety and helmets are cheaper and easier to work with than FW ones for World Eaters.
