They're going full ARG with this shit. There must be loads of information hidden around this.
Brandon Richardson
Beginner user from last thread asking about 200 Point Bakunin list against Steel Phallus here. How's this? Or do I just get rid of the Riots and go full REM spam
Justin Green
Is there any way to view the normal site?
Aaron Myers
Google it and it'll give you links to sections, only the main page is fucked.
Lucas Scott
>I was only pretending to be retarded!
Jason Sanders
Thanks.
Austin Bennett
Damn you figured out my cunning ruse
Jackson Robinson
Okay guys, I am thinking about picking up a Combined army.
What is good about them? What stuff should I look into? How cool are the various Batroids? Because out of everything, I really like the look of all the Batroids the most.
Joshua Bennett
Going give Bakunin a go alongside my Tohaa what should I expect for the degeneracy sectorial?
Nolan Hughes
I think it's worth swapping one of the custodier for another GRRL, preferably the specialist.
ASS doesn't really bring much to hack and a single custodier should cover your needs in that regards. Getting an extra burst on your GRRLS will help you more.
Alternatively, trying to fit Zeroes in for mine support is worthwhile.
Adam Gutierrez
I was trying to boost Kusanagi and that's why I had the other Custodier. Which one do I drop?
Noah Jackson
Here is Zhayedan line art
Luke Jackson
Something like this?
Jason Brown
They are getting a resculpted starter in the later part of the year.
Connor Foster
Hope the hollow man rumor is true.
Gabriel Foster
So, I opened the FLAC file with Spek.
Jose Ortiz
Black and whiting it made the dash pattern more obvious. Don't know what it means, or what that off-kilter tower in the centre is.
Eli Perez
Combined Army has a bunch of unique gimmicks and generally expensive troops. One of their biggest advantages is access to EI Aspects, elite dudes with the best equipment who can transfer their consciousness around the army if they die. If they're your Lt then you're pretty much immune to LoL. The other races are pretty specialised. Morats are big gun platforms and smoke throwers, Shasvastii are sneaky skirmishers, Sygmaa get basic MSV and really good drop troops, Exrah are ded, and Umbra are fast stabby dudes that get a relatively cheap HD+
Batroids are all good.
Jaxson Butler
The 'dash' pattern is binary for LIVE.
John Reed
Thought Infinity needed one
Carter Gonzalez
Mate, you're a bit late to the party
Hudson Rogers
Guy looking to make his first purchase from last thread. Went into my shop and the store owner was incredibly helpful with helping me draft up my first Morat Aggression Force list.
I wanted to run a 5 man Rodok link team, but haven't played a single game. Does this look like a solid start?
Landon Nelson
Holy shit, Jesus is back.
Cooper Lee
ALEPH? NOMADS?
Colton Bell
Yeah. It's a pretty decent list. Kornak is a bit questionable when you've got a Rodok link and a Q-Drone+hacker, but he's tough and I guess you basically get a free order from him, so it's not too bad.
Isaac Green
Probably something people have already noticed, but there's a nice clear comment in the HTML source for the page.
/* * SHE * WILL * BE * OUR * LIGHT, * ALWAYS * /\ |_ | \/ [- */
Charles Garcia
Maybe some sort of Nomad radicals? Arachnae is the only thing I could think of that might fit the bill. Or, it could be a new faction all together.
Thomas Wilson
Kornak was mostly grabbed for his model, it's so damn sweet. I also heard he's pretty tough and brings two solid weapon options
Nicholas Reyes
Going to go play my first game against people who might actually know what they're doing on Saturday. This is basically all the models I own, plus the Zero that I'm proxying.
Battle plan is to put all my stationary dudes in group 2, and feed orders to my Moran/Spektr. Two hackers and a bunch of repeaters to keep my Brigadood from getting hacked, and the Healer as a back-up shooting piece.
I think that's enough specialists (for 20x20), but I haven't played the game that much. I don't think I have enough heavy hitters, but my next purchase is going to be Kusanagi and a Jaguar box.
Jacob Thompson
Are there any more of these? I only have this one and the Tuareg but I think I remember seeing one or two more.
Nathaniel Smith
Give your Grenzer a missile launcher. It gives you some anti-armour and the better range bands of the sniper are offset by being able to ignore cover with the ML's template.
Owen Perez
Just be careful with your Link, it's very powerful but you're front loading a lot of your heavy weaponry. So keep them covered and watch out for flanking pieces/templates.
Remember you can afford to be aggressive with Kornak since you don't lose much except his extra order if he dies.
Elijah Lewis
Yeah having literally zero table experience I can see that being an issue. I've heard that the space monkeys make up one of the stronger link teams and I figured the sculpts were cool as hell so why not?
I've heard you can do some silly shit like super jump up, unload a shot, then land. I know you can get ARO'd out of the air, but the idea of that is still hilarious.
Thanks for the tip about Kornak, if he dies at least I don't get burned on loss of lieutenant.
Caleb Russell
Thanks for the preview.
That said, an awful lot of this fluff is pretty much what's already in the main books, so the delay is clearly...unfortunate.
Also, major error (typo?) in the first page.
Jayden Thompson
>major error (typo?) in the first page. Whereabouts?
If you are not playing specialist heavy mission, yeah that looks fine. If you are playing a specialist reliant mission, swap the Tinbot for the specialist operative.
Either way burst two missile launchers, particularly with MSV1, makes a humongous difference. Burst 5 Spitfire is no slouch either.
Having Kusanagi out of the link allows her to get more use out of her LT order, which you'll have to do with this relatively elite list with no skirmishers contesting the midfield.
I am not sure how I feel about it. It might be worth taking the two points from the alguacil FO to the Moran. The combi allows for him to be a bigger nuisance with suppression as well as have a longer ranged ARO with flashpulse. Alternatively make the SPEKTR an FO.
If you follow you can make both the Moran and the SPEKTR FOs. That will restrict the grenzer to ARO duty, but I don't think you were planning on spending a lot of orders sniping with him.
Overall I am concerned about the 7-5 split. You might be better off trying to go for a 10-2 split with the Sin Eater and Grenzer in the small group. That way you can feed your attack pieces as the situation develops.
Isaac Clark
Might be worth bringing it up on the forums.
Alexander Gray
Probably most we're gonna do is just kill each other. We're both new so we're just learning. We'll leave the bigger missions for when we get to 300 points. The other list I was mulling around was pic related. Army code on my phone has been shitting itself and the screenshot cut off the Tsyklon with a Feurbach.
Kevin Green
Well there probably will be more when the faction book is out. Since that is not happening for a bit this is what we got for it.
Jason Turner
Is the Al Hawwa Sniper any good? It's really buggin' me that it's the only profile with mines in QK.
Andrew Evans
Generally speaking camo infiltrators are a bit iffy as you want some distance to make sniper work and thus waste most opportunities given by infiltration. So you'd better deploy it near your DZ and use the mines to cover her ass/DZ.
Matthew Rogers
At least she is cheap-ish SWC-wise, so she isn't as terribly inefficient compared to infiltrators with MSRs instead.
Even so, if the core book is mostly rehashed crap, it's astonishing something hasn't appeared yet.
David Wright
Is this Chapter thirty or the erotic chapter?
Jaxon Perry
So, this new ARG campaign.
Are we finally getting a new model for Joan that doesn't involve buying a $50 book?
Aaron Nelson
Last night I got Euduros and his team into CC for a whopping CC21, PH17, Burst 6, DA CCW clise combat attack.
Blake Morris
That upper left Thorakitai's sword looks amazing, nice work with the paints on that, also go and slap the other guy for playing with models that have been undercoated for so long they've gathered dust.
Parker Parker
>Thorakitai
John Ross
You won't get burned on LoL anyways with the Morat special Rule. He is nice because he grants an extra order with Strategos and gives another decent ranged weapon in the Mk12 to a fire team. NWI and high BTS is nothing to snuff at either.
Evan Bailey
Fine, Agema, whatever.
Michael Diaz
Thank you, but there is no info about her death. Must be, this was added before she was killed in fluff change.
Jacob King
wow, you're fucking stupid. how can you not tell the difference between an agema and a dactyl?
Xavier Taylor
The Morat rule was what I was referring to. I wasn't going to have him in a link team with the Rodoks under the assumptions they were going to get into weird places because of super jump.
Henry Miller
Not the guy you responded to, but you should really chill out. It's just a game man. They probably don't play/play against steel phalanx.
Camden Hill
And also because he can't link with them. Kornak can only join HI links.
Isaac Kelly
Big talk from a dumbass who can't recognize an ekdromoi when they see one.
Chase Ward
Can also be in a Fireteam: Haris with Suryuats (or Sogarats, if you want to go overboard).
Wyatt Bennett
>mistaking a Netrod for an Ekdromos >year of our lord 2016
Zachary Rogers
So the previous invincibles had the "Niǎo Zuǐ" pattern? Are they the beakies? Seems like they're the beakies to the current space marines of the Zúyŏng.
Also: >Zúyŏng are the Largest Heavy Infantry Corps of the entire Human Sphere >Only has two models, one of which isn't even out yet.
When is that invinicible sectorial box set coming out?
Jose Collins
100% always go overboard.
Josiah Hernandez
Nice bait, desu. That's obviously a Fiday.
Jaxson Thomas
That's a funny way of spelling Anathematic.
Grayson Collins
For fucks sake those aren't even from the right faction, its clearly a Wulver.
Levi Reyes
Oh that's right, I forgot that models can only link with the named models unless otherwise stated. I'll look into overwhelming firepower by linking him up with some Heavy Infantry
Camden Moore
If I could pitch in, all I'm seeing is Patroclus.
t. Black Friar
Kayden Ortiz
Ladies and Gentleman, we have a winner.
t. Kaauri Sentinel
Dylan Powell
What you posted is gen1 Hsien, this is an original bird helmet Invincible.
Isaiah Smith
I missed a few threads but I recognize you. Do you have line art for the new style of Yu Jing ninja? I've been contemplating how to implement my general blue color schemes of ninjas to her.
Tyler Hall
>Bagh mari in a S.A.A
Haris or Core?
Jeremiah Hall
He looks kinda cute, trying to be all menacing n' stuff.
Aaron Martinez
So I bought Red Veil because it seemed perfect for me for expanding my JSA to Vanilla Yu Jing, my problem is, I've been so used to cheap Chain of Command and link teams as well as close combat that I don't know what to make of making Vanilla lists.
I'm not sure if I should include Aragotos for example, if the beautiful Yuriko Oda is still viable over a Tokusetsu (but I do remember seeing her pretty often in Vanilla lists), and what firepower I should fill the SWC with given that I still have mostly Japanese units. This is my "first draft" of what I plan field using some minor proxies of Keisotsu as Monks.
I feel like the first purchases I will make are the Guilang special units given that they're so good (even though I don't care for their old models so much) and Shaolin Monks but I'd like some comments on how to bulk up the Red Veil box set with JSA units right now. I have basically all the JSA units available except for the Yaoxie remotes.
Liam Cook
Where's the fluff bit that talked about how some ORC troops liked to give spooky and intimidating markings on themselves?I don't see it in the infinity stuffies google drive compendium.
Daniel Turner
Wait, so if that's a thoradactygemakdromoidayrodthematic, then what the hell is this?
Hudson Fisher
A suppression fire marker
Samuel Gutierrez
Its literally spelled out right there on the marker...
Carson Ross
Why, it's a one of them, of course.
Angel Reed
I'd love to see Veeky Forums's take on a 'Know your Enemy' chart for Infinity.
Jackson Peterson
So Vanilla YJ plays somewhat differently from JSA. CoC is... problematic, and I'm not sure even the pretty new Pheasant model that is coming out is going to persuade many to take it.
The list looks pretty good, though if you're just using the Zuyong as a specialist, the FO option saves you a point and gives him a passable ARO). You don't have that much in the way of mid-field support for the Ninja, but that could be okay. A Guilang will definitely help.
For smoke shenanigans with the Hsien, though, you probably want something a bit more reliable than the Shaolin. The CG+KSD is a fantastic unit (regular order light smoke grenade launcher), and it allows you to bring Kuang Shi, which are really quite good (and a definite possible substitute for those poor Zhanshi). The CG Hacker is also a good piece.
I also probably wouldn't make the Hsien the lieutenant. He's almost certainly going to get killed no matter what you do.
Yuriko's fine, though she might be a bit pricey if you're already taking another engineer. If you want, you can swap her out for a Rui Shi, which is quite powerful in conjunction when used with the CG+KSD and CG hacker.
Wyatt Roberts
man do I wish I had someone locally to play Infinity with
I bought Icestorm almost half a year ago and still haven't had the heart to put it together yet....
Fucking Floridian shits.
Michael Hernandez
I move up and down the eastern coast of Florida constantly and every city so far except Miami has been dead miniature gaming wise. Even 40k struggles over here. Good luck man, it's an up hill battle.
Xavier Wood
It's in the N3 core book
Henry Stewart
Bro, I feel your pain. I'm in the Tampa area. Had a friend and my cousin. Both went back to 40k and now Dust.
I really wanna pick up Red Veil from GameNerdz or the USAriadna army pack from MM for $50.
I've got plenty of armies. No one to play with. Sold my ALEPH and my PanO. The latter I am starting to regret with some of the goodies they are getting.
Carson Hill
I'm in tampabay area
Want to get the Red Veil myself, because Yujing was always my first choice, but I bought a few units for pano already (like the limited Joan and a Croc). Plus I have no intent on playing Haq
You wanna like play or something?
I would put this shit together within a week if that were the case
Isaiah Johnson
Put it together. Bring it to a gaming store. Run demos. Anyone walks in and glances at the table, get them to play a demo.
Levi Hernandez
Definitely man. You know where Armada is? Red Veil is too much of a good deal to not get, that's why it's a hard choice haha.
Start getting your stuff together. Don't worry about being fully painted.
Glad I wandered into a thread for a game I've only ever demo'd once. Definitely motivates me to get my painting shit together.
Oliver Phillips
Sweet. Already did.
Gabriel Powell
So as a brand new player I have some questions about ARO's. According to the rules on the website
When the Active Player declares the first Skill of an Order, and before he can declare the second, both players check to see if any of the Reactive Player's troopers can react with an ARO (Automatic Reaction Order). All of the Reactive Player's troopers that have Line of Fire to (that is, they can 'see') the trooper that is using the Order, may declare one of these AROs: BS Attack Close Combat Attack Dodge
Does this mean that you can only declare ARO's on the movement because it's the first "skill" of the order. If that's the case wouldn't there not be a face to face roll If the second skill of the action was a BS attack. With both attacks happening at different times? Something about ARO's in this game is confusing the hell out of me.
Alexander Price
Declaring and resolving are different matters, it goes:
1. Active player declares first short skill (movement and ONLY movement gets executed with the declaration) 2. Reactive player declares any AROs 3. Active player declares second short skill 4. Reactive player declares any new AROs (but any models that could ARO at step 2 and didn't lose the chance) 5. Resolve all declared actions that weren't movement by making necessary rolls
So, even though the reactive player is declaring his shots first, he waits till all declarations are finalized before resolving it simultaneously, thus the face to face roll.
Brody Baker
So on the activation of the second short skill all models that couldn't make an ARO due to distance LOS etc can declare one. But the troopers that have already declared ARO's cannot make a second. After which all ARO's are resolved
So what if during movement the active trooper moves behind full cover, and the reactive trooper makes a BS attack. Would the ARO still go off?
