pin your taints

Quite. You have to remember that the models are tiny and do not need a lot of paint. Thin paints also don't leave "lumps" when you lift the brush.

Nigga, please. This is prequel to 2017. It's called everything. Everything is trolling. Everything is bait.

Now just wait for that one guy too rant about how thinning paint is stupid.

Ouch

this is literally what your minis will look like if you dont thin

>How vital

It's not. It's both optional and casual.

However, to the quality-conscious it is vital to find the sweet spot between coverage and brush marks and - since achieving that goal is as easy as adding a little water - there's no barrier to experimentation.

Have fun!

I don't know, user. You tell me.

Very.

...

Here's a before and after of a tank I had to strip because the seller did not thin their paints.

it's like one of those animal charity adverts with the abused before and after.

Thanks, Dupond.

Kek. Where's this from?

Have you tried not playing D&D?

Most miniature paints consistencies aren't too bad straight out of the pot. The main problem people have that makes awful thick paintjobs is just lumping too much paint on the brush.

>(SCREAMING)

Is it weird that I really want a gif of citadel paints getting crushed in a hydrolic press then a flash of block text saying "THIN YOUR PAINTS"?

Very.
It's 2016, why settle for gif when we have webm?

I'd rather not.

Can webms even be posted on tg? I though they were board particular

I can't not laugh looking at these horrors. It's like they encountered the warp and were left with horribly disfigured caricatures of a face freezing their terror for all eternity. These are the faces of damned souls that know no peace.

And melted army men. I want to correctly paint a whole marine with perfect shading, highlights, and color theory. Then lay down faces like this specifically unthinned and applied with a sponger or something. You can't get abject horror any other way.

If you take any pride in your work, then thin your paints.

And stop using that citadel paint crap. Just buy some acrylic paints.

You people and your multicolored crack.

Thin your paints is just a meme, I never thin my paints.

Sure if you want to paint to a high standard then you're going to need to thin your paints but if you just want tabletop standard and you're just going to do base colours, drybrush, and ink washes then why bother?

Just use less paint and maybe pre wet your brush.

testing whether webms work on Veeky Forums

Webms work on every board. The only limitations are file size and sound.
